  1. With Pokemon Sun And Moon coming out last week, one might forget that Legendary Pokemon are still being given out for Pokemon Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire, X, and Y for Pokemon's 20th Anniversary. I myself almost forgot to get Genesect, this month's Legendary Pokemon, and I haven't even got Pokemon Sun yet. And it would've been a shame if I had missed it, because I've collected all of them so far. I would've been really mad if I had missed Genesect. But now, I only have to worry about getting the last one next month, which will be Meloetta. And since it's being given out over the Nintendo Network, I shouldn't have a problem getting it. But for those who still need to get Genesect, you have until the 24th of this month to get it. Don't let it slip away like it almost did for me. Be sure to get it for your Pokedex!
  2. November already? Here’s something to give thanks for. (Because Thanksgiving? I know it’s not my best one, but none of you laughed at my Earth Wind and Fire joke in September so I’m not breaking my back trying to find a better one.) Genesect is available at GameStop! I’m not sure why it wasn’t saved for December, being the last Pokémon in Gen V National Dex order, but hey, Genesect is cool! Go get one if you don’t already have one! Come to think of it, Genesect was the first (and thus far only) Bug-type Legendary! Right now Poison is the only type without a Legendary. Or…could that be about to change?! GEN VII HERE WE GO!
  3. Seriously. There's an official trailer like thing where Mimikyu sings a song about itself. Here's the original, It's adorable. It's sad. Sadorable? I want a Mimikyu.

The Volcanion event begins today! I officially have a complete Living Dex! I mean I know it won't be that way for long with Sun and Moon around the corner, and this really isn't a big thing in the larger scheme of things, but I've never been able to say that before and it's kind of a cool feeling. A complete Living Dex! For the longest time I thought that would be impossible for me, but the Gen VI games make it much easier and the 20th anniversary events filled in the Mythicals, it just all came together so well! And I am still really jazzed about Sun and Moon. Nearly everything they've shown looks great, they've got so much promise, and it will be fun to search for new Pokemon to catch again. It's a little eh to think I might not have the Moon exclusives for a while, but that's way at the back of my mind. I'm thrilled to have a Living Dex! I'm thrilled we're getting new games! I'm just...really excited right now!
  5. It seems like a new week trailer comes out every week for these two games. It's almost comical. Anyways, here's what the trailer shows us: 1. Alright, let's start off with the biggest reveal: The first evolution forms of the starters. Out of these three, Torracat is my favorite. It's color scheme looks really cool IMO. Dartrix looks cool too, especially with the way it uses its wings. I've also read things from people saying that he looks like Edgeworth from the Ace Attorney series, and I think he actually kind of does look like him. As for Brionne, it doesn't really excite me too much. I believe I've stated before on my blog that I've never really been a fan of the water starter Pokemon introduced throughout the Pokemon games, and that continues here. Nothing about it really gets my attention. But who knows, maybe its final evolution form will be more interesting. But between just these three, Torracat comes out on top and makes me want to start off with Litten even more. 2. The Festival Plaza looks interesting. It looks like it will have some fun activities for players to do and offer others ways for them to interact. It could be a lot of fun. 3. I really like the idea behind the Poke Pelago. Giving the Pokemon in your PC boxes something to do is a great idea that I'm surprised hasn't been done until now. Having them go on adventures to find items and train is a really cool way for players to interact with the Pokemon they've caught outside of their core six team. The only thing I'm wondering about is the 'wild Pokemon joining your game' part of the reveal. I guess this means that it could be another way for you to catch Pokemon. Maybe it could even be used as a way to catch Pokemon that you couldn't get otherwise? I guess we'll see in time. But regardless, I'm looking forward to seeing more of this part of the game when Sun/Moon are released. 4. Mega Evolution is making a return in these games, to the surprise of no one. Though I guess it's good for it to be confirmed to be in the game. 5. What would probably be considered to be the other big reveal of the trailer is the demo of the games coming out later this month. I wasn't really paying too much attention to this part of the trailer until it showed that you would use Ash-Greninja in the game and that you could transfer it to the main games once they are released. Now I'm not someone who normally plays demos because I like to play the final versions of games. But if this demo is going to give me an unique Pokemon to use the final version of the games, I just might get it and play through it. Though when it comes to Ash-Greninja, I have one big complaint about it: I HATE it's name. I don't like it in the anime, and I don't like it here. Sure, the Pokemon looks cool and I bet it will be great to use in battles. But I just can't stand its name. You can bet that if I do get this Pokemon, I'm taking advantage of the nickname option and changing it to something better. But anyways, those are the reveals from this new trailer. What do you all think of them?
  6. Note: Slight spoilers for the Pokemon Generations videos are below. Don't read if you haven't seen them yet. I've seen the first four episodes of Pokemon Generations, And I have to say that I've really enjoyed what I've seen so far. It's really cool to see events from the Pokemon world from other viewpoints besides those from Ash and his friends at the time. Plus, many of these events are from the games themselves, which is also neat IMO. I really like the animation they used for make these stories. It's different from the animation used in the anime, but I think that's good because it helps Generations standout from the show. Though unless I'm mistaken, the anime will use a similar animation style for when it goes to the Aloha Region. (Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on that.) And since these are based more off the games than the anime, I do think it was a nice touch to have the Pokemon make more animalistic sounds than simply just saying their names. It makes sense for them to do this because Pokemon in the games don't say their names, besides Pikachu from the X/Y games and those after them. Overall, Pokemon Generations offers fans a different look into the world of Pokemon, and its an enjoyable experience IMO. I look forward to see where they go from here. What do you guys think of Pokemon Generations so far?
  7. October doesn’t have to be scary, you’ve got Mythical Pokémon beside you! Keldeo’s available over Mystery Gift. It’s a great Water Pokémon in a Generation that isn’t really good with those, even if its form change is purely cosmetic. Also it probably knows alchemy judging by its voice in the movie. But EVEN BETTER, if you go to GameStop between the 10th and the 31st and get a serial code, you can download Volcanion, the 721st Pokemon, last in Gen VI National Dex order! Gen VII is right around the corner, so grab this quick so that you can have a totally complete Dex for about a month! 721 HERE WE ARE!
  8. Today the latest Pokemon video was released, showing some of the Pokemon that will be exclusive to either Sun or Moon. I'm personally liked the Sun exclusive ones a little more, especially Rockruff's midday form of Lycanroc. It looks like a really cool Rock Type Pokemon. The midnight form of Lycanroc looks alright, but its color scheme just looks off to me. As for the two other version exclusives, Passimian, a Sun Version exclusive, looks really cool. I can see it's ability being very useful in double and triple battles, though I don't know how useful it would be in single battles. on the other hand, Moon will be getting Oranguru. While it think its has a good pairing of types, I'm just doesn't look that interesting to me. But that is just my opinion on it. The video also reveals that Pikachu and Eevee will get their own Z-Moves. Pikachu's looks like it will be really good, but I'm not sure how I feel about Eevee's. Sure, it is nice to get all its stats boosted up very quickly, but I don't know if that is a good use of a Z-Move. Especially since you can only use one Z-Move per battle. I did see someone post on Twitter that one could have Eevee use Baton Pass to transfer those stats to another Pokemon though, so I guess this Z-Move could have its uses if used right. So these are my thoughts on the Version Exclusive Pokemon and Z-Moves revealed today. What do you all think of them?
  9. Do you remember? It’s September. (The joke works great because this Pokemon is an Earth Wind & Fire type.) To ensure your success this month, you should access Mystery Gift to get a Victini! It’s a great Pokémon, I used one on my team back in Pokémon White. Because I use Legendaries on my teams and I refuse to let anyone make me feel bad about that. We’re really winding down on these Mythical distributions. Since the Gen V events were all much easier to access, I’m wondering if people will really need these new ones as much? Well, it’s still neat. 721 HERE WE COME!

  11. August isn’t a fun month, is it? Usually means back to school, if you’re in school. But this August, you can get your very own Arceus just by going to GameStop! That’s right, just stop by your local game store, ask the employee at the counter for a neat little card with a serial number, and you get the Pokémon who created the Pokémon world (or maybe just Sinnoh)! I won’t lie to you, part of me’s still angry this doesn’t involve the Azure Flute in some way. But you probably guessed that. 721 HERE WE COME!
  12. I thought I'd go ahead and post this topic for discussion of the good old Pokemans, given that there currently exists no such topic for Pokemon. Feel free to discuss anything about this wonderful franchise, its games, anime, etc. So, yeah, I've spent part of my time during BZP's absence working on EV training several Pokes in White, as well as having a few battles with my brother. How have you all fared in training recently? ~B~
  13. The latest Pokemon Sun/Moon trailer is here, and it has a ton of new info in it. Here are my thoughts on it. 1. The new form for Exeggutor looks interesting. It seems like it went on a extreme diet. Though I think the biggest change about it is that it is part dragon instead of part psychic. I imagine that there is a certain way to evolve Execute in the game to get the Exeggutor that you want, because not having the original in the region, as least as an option, would be kind of disappointing. 2. I think my favorite reveal in the whole trailer are the ice type versions of Vulpix, Ninetales, Sandshrew, and Sandslash. They look beautiful IMO. I really hope they are good in-game, because I would really like to use them on a team. 3. Oricorio looks like an interesting flying type. I believe I read somewhere that you can choose its type by feeding it something. (Nectar, I think) If that is true, it could open up the door for some cool teams if used right. Plus its dance moves look cute too. 4. Other new Pokemon were also revealed. I think Minior is my favorite out of all of them, simply because I think that it looks the coolest. 5. The big reveal of the trailer, IMO anyways, would be the Island Challenge. I'm not sure if its taking the place of the usual 'beat eight Gym Leaders and then face the Pokemon League' goal that has been the staple of the games since they started. But it would cool if Sun/Moon offered a new challenge like this that was different from the other games. Though if Gym Leaders were still in the game, they would still be cool too. 6. Then there is the reveal of Z-Moves. They kind of remind me of Mega Evolution, except this is for Pokemon moves. I don't know what to think of them yet, though the animations shown here look really cool. Overall, there are some really great reveals here. I look forward to seeing other already known Pokemon that might have new types in the games, as well as learning more about The Island Challenge. November 18 can't get here soon enough.
  14. Legendary Pictures and Universal have officially acquired the rights to make a live-action Pokemon movie. More specifically... A Detective Pikachu movie. Huh.
  15. Yesterday I talked about the new Pokemon that were confirmed to be real as well as posted links to videos to each one. Here is the official trailer with all of those videos, except this one also reveals their types and abilities. Here are my overall thoughts on these reveals. 1. I wasn't expecting so many of these to be electric type Pokemon. I figured Vikavolt and Togedemaru would be, but I wasn't expecting Tapu Koko to be as well. I would've thought it would be part bug, part another type. Not that I'm complaining, since I like electric types a lot. 2. Speaking of Tapu Koko, I like the new info we get on it here. Especially the fact that its the guardian of its own island. 3. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the Grubbin, Charjabug, and Vikavolt line is the first full evolutionary line revealed for Gen 7. I really hope its good, as I would like to use Vikavolt on a team when I get one of these games. 4. I would've thought that Cutiefly would've been an electric and/or flying type Pokemon. But being a bug and fairy type works too. 5. I really like Zygarde's new forms. They look really cool. Well, that's all I got to say about this trailer. What do you guys think of it?
  16. So seven new Pokemon from Sun and Moon, who were leaked early online, were confirmed to be real today. Each one has a video that was released to confirm that they're going to be in the game. The following are these videos and my thoughts on the Pokemon themselves. Probably the Pokemon that has been talked about the most since these seven were revealed. I've seen some people say that it looks like a cross between a Pikachu and Togepi, though I personally think it looks more like a cross between a Pikachu and a Qwilfish thanks its its spikes. Still, I think it looks cool enough. This one is my favorite out of the reveals. I love how this Pokemon looks. Hopefully it will have some good stats and/or abilities so it will be good to use on a team. I kind of get a vibe that this Pokemon is one of those Bug types you find towards the beginning of the game that is useful early in your adventure but its stats don't keep up with it as the game goes on. But who knows, I could be wrong on that. Plus, I think it looks cool, so that's something. Interesting enough, Bruxish's video actually shows off its ability, while the others only show their respective Pokemon using a move on an opponent. It's ability appears to stop priority moves, which could be useful in the right circumstances. Time will tell to see if this ability is the only good thing about it, or if it has more to offer. This Pokemon reminds me of a dragon with an old dog's face. When it comes to designs, this Pokemon definitely isn't my favorite out of this new bunch. But it could still be a good Pokemon to use. Time will tell on that as well. This Pokemon just may have the most accurate name I've seen a Pokemon have. It looks like a cross between a Fletching and a bumblebee IMO. I could see this Pokemon being a flying/bug type or flying/electric. Either way, it is really cute. This one is probably my second favorite out of the bunch. I love the spaceship look it has. It gives me a Metroid or Starfox vibe. So these are the seven new Pokemon revealed today. Which one is your favorite and least favorite?
  17. With all the reveals going on at E3 this year, only info on two other games besides The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wind have really caught my attention so far. Those games would be Pokemon: Sun/Moon and the Spider-Man PS4 teaser that was revealed. I figured I'd give my thoughts on both of them in this one entry. So let's start with Pokemon: A few new Pokemon are revealed in this new trailer. Pikipek is probably my favorite out of the reveals. Then again, I've always liked the flying type Pokemon one can usually always find at the beginning of any Pokemon game, and Pikipek continues that trend for me. I'm not that big of a fan of Yungoos, however. I don't like how its jaw looks. It just looks weird to me. As for Grubbin, it looks cool IMO. I like the parasitic look it has. It makes me wonder what it looks like when it evolves. Then there is Magearna. With the ability it has, I bet it will used in a lot of double battles when the games come out. Plus, it being a fairy and steel type makes it even cooler IMO. But I think the biggest reveal in this trailer is obviously the Battle Royal. This looks like it will be a lot of fun to play. I'm already looking forward to trying it out when Sun/Moon are released in November. Hopefully the Battle Royal will be as fun as it looks here. Now onto Spider-Man: I've stated before that I'm not the biggest fan of exclusives when it comes to games. I understand why some companies make some of their games exclusives, but that doesn't mean I have to be happy about it. I bring this up because this new Spider-Man game is a PS4 exclusive. As I'm someone who doesn't own a PS4, this means I won't be playing it unless I get one. (Though I will admit that the PS4 has had some good games come out on it over the years that I've wanted to try out, like this Spider-Man game, The Last of Us, the Uncharted games, and so worth. So I may think about getting one in the future...) Anyways, as for the game itself, this Spider-Man game looks great. The music for it sounds good too. It definitely got me pumped up for the game when I first heard it. Also, in the description box for the video, it says that this is an experienced Spider-man who has helping the city for awhile. Though I imagine the game will probably give a brief summary of how he got his powers, I do like that this isn't an origin story for Spider-Man, as everyone and their mother probably knows how he got his powers by now. Probably the biggest reveal in the teaser is Spider-Man's suit. I've never seen him wear a suit like this before. Then again, I'm more familiar with the suits we wears in the movies than what he wears in the comics. Regardless, I really like the new suit. I think that its color scheme looks really good on him. It actually kind of reminds me of Samus Aran's PED Power Suit from the early stages of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. I don't know why, but I just get that vibe from it when I look at it. Overall, it looks like it will be a really cool game. If I ever get a PS4, I'll probably try it out myself. P.S. Serious question for those who know more about Spider-Man than I do: Has Spider-Man ever worn a suit similar to the in this trailer in the comics? Like I said, I haven't seen one like it before and I'm wondering if its a new suit first introduced in this game.
  18. ...when your work appears on KnowYourMeme! http://knowyourmeme.com/photos/1130185-pokemon
  19. For Bionicle fans who wanted to see something else from Gen 1 Bionicle return, I don't think they had this in mind. Joke aside, this is some really cool new info on the upcoming Pokemon Sun/Moon games. The legendaries look amazing, especially with their cool abilities. The region looks beautiful as well. Also, having a Rotom be a part of your Pokedox is a stroke of genius. Though I wonder if it counts towards your completed Pokedex... I'm really looking to playing these when they come out in November.
  20. http://machop-fan.deviantart.com/art/Hau-wearing-a-Hau-612762681?ga_submit_new=10%253A1464875753 Sorry, but as a Pokémon and Bionicle fan, I couldn't not do this after learning of the rival's name in Pokémon Sun and Moon.
  21. It's been awhile since I've talked about my playthrough of Pokemon: Omega Ruby. I've made a lot of progress since my last entry about it. Here are the highlights: 1. I beat the Elite Four. I sailed through it for the most part. Steven gave me some trouble at the end of it, but I was able to beat him too. I even challenged myself to not use Mega Evolution in any of the battles, and I still beat them. I'm really glad my team was able to pull it off. 2. I really like how the official story ended. It gave more closure to your rival than that which was given to him or her in the original games, which I thought was really neat. I also liked how it showed you each Pokemon you used to beat each Gym Leader as the credits rolled. I thought that was very cool. 3. I also completed the Delta Episode. I really liked it overall, especially since it let you revisit areas of the game that you wouldn't have needed to otherwise. Its story was good too. I in particular liked the little tie ins to Pokemon X and Y. Plus, they were some tough battles throughout the episodes, which were nice to see. 4. Towards the end of the Delta Episode, I caught Rayquaza. I don't know if I would called that a great accomplishment though, as I caught it after only throwing one Ultra Ball at it. Since you need this Pokemon to complete the Delta Episode, it makes me think that you were suppose to catch it that easily. But I also read on another site that it took someone six tries to catch Rayquaza. So I don't know if I just lucked out or if that person was just having really bad luck with catching it. 5. I caught Deoxys when it showed up. I took the easy route with it and used my Master Ball to catch it. I did this because I was afraid that if I failed to catch it, I would have to restart the whole end of the Delta Episode and catch Rayquaza again. (Because, again, I didn't know if I just lucked out catching it at the time.) I wasn't planning on using the Master Ball on anything else though, so using it on Deoxys isn't that big of the deal for me. 6. Speaking of Legendary Pokemon, I've caught all the Legendaries I can catch in the game save for Cresselia. A lot of them were challenging to catch once I found them, which I was glad to see after how easy Legendaries became to catch in Pokemon Y. It also feels good having one of your boxes filled with a bunch of super powerful Pokemon. 7. I've also been collecting the Pokemon being given out for Pokemon's 20th Anniversary. I've already gotten the four released so far. (Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, and Darkrai) I look forward to getting the rest when they come out. There's also shiny Legendary Pokemon from X and Y being given out this month to promote the new season of the show. I've managed to obtain both a Shiny Yveltal and a Shiny Xerneas. There was also a Shiny Zygarde given out, but I missed out on that one. And that's about it. I'm currently at the Battle Resort, getting my team ready to take on the challenges there. I've already have some experience with it from my Pokemon Y playthrough, so I know kind of what to expect. I plan to take on the Elite Four again sometime in the future as well, as I've read that they are stronger the second time you face them. And I'm also attempting to fill up my Pokedex as much as I can. I don't plan to 100% it, but I would like to see how far I can get with catching all the Pokemon I can in the game. That's all for now.
  22. So a couple new trailers have come out over the last couple of days. One is a trailer for the upcoming Pokemon Sun and Moon games released on last Tuesday, while the other is the Assassin's Creed movie trailer which was released just last night. Since I don't want to make two separate entries on them, I thought I'd post what I think of both in one entry. Let's start with the Pokemon Trailer, which is right here: First off, I think that's its really cool that the region has a tropical setting. It really helps it stand out from the previous games. Both of the Legendary Pokemon look great too. I don't think their names have been revealed yet though. (Feel free to correct me on that if they have been.) I like the lion legendary a little more than the bat one, but both are still cool IMO. But the biggest reveal of the trailer, as all of you probably know by now, is the reveal of the starter Pokemon Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio. I can't decide if Rowlet or Litten is my favorite. On the one hand, Rowlet looks so cute and I bet its types will be useful in the game. On the other, Litten just looks cool. I really like its color scheme of red and black, and me being a cat person kind of makes me like it even more. I don't know which one I'll pick when the games are released. As for Popplio, I have nothing against it. It looks cool enough. But it just doesn't interest me like the other two do. Though that is kind of a thing with me. I've always preferred the grass or fire starters over the water one in all of the Pokemon games I've played, and the same thing goes for me on this one too. But I'm sure it will still be a good choice for a starting Pokemon for those who want to use it. Now for the Assassin's Creed trailer, which is right here: While I've never played any of the games from the series, I have watched playthroughs of the first three games on Youtube, plus I'm currently watching one now on Revelations. So I know the basics of the story of this series. (At least up to the point of those games.) It looks like the movie is using the same story format as the first game, which is a given I guess. I'm not sure if Michael Fassbender is playing Desmond from the games or if he is a brand new character, but I wouldn't be surprised if he was playing the former. Regardless, he certainly looks the part of an assassin. He looks great in the robes. In fact, the whole era of the Spanish Inquisition shown in the trailer looks really good. I especially like the end of it, where they show our hero performing the infamous leap of faith off of a building. That was a neat way to end the trailer. If I were to mention one problem I have with the trailer, it is the choice of music that plays around the one minute mark of it. AKA the Kanye West song 'I am a God.' (I think that's the name of it.) Opinions on the song aside, I just don't think that this song works with the trailer at all. They just don't go together IMO. There had to have been other songs they could've used instead of that one. I'm not sure what they would've been, but they have to been something better they could've used here. Overall, I enjoyed the trailer, musical choices aside. I'm not sure if I'll see this movie, but I have to December to figure out if I will. So what do you guys think of these trailers? Which starter Pokemon will you choose? And will you see the Assassin's Creed movie when it comes out?
  23. Storywise, I really haven't haven't gotten that much farther in the game other than going through Victory Road. It wasn't that hard of a challenge, but man did that route have some great TMs! It had both Flamethrower and Psychic, which are amazing moves that I taught to Camerupt and Latios as soon as I got them. Plus, all my Pokemon are level 50 now. Hopefully they will be strong enough for the Elite Four when I finally get around to challenging them. And what have I been doing all this time? Two things: 1. I have been roaming the Hoenn Region in search of all the Legendary Pokemon I can catch. I did manage to catch Regigigas after I finally find out where it was. I also learned that Omega Ruby stuffed full of Legendaries from other regions. So far, I caught Ho-oh, Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Uxie, Mesprit, Azelf, Palkia, Cobalion, Tornadus, and Reshiram. I know there are still a couple more I can catch, but I may hold off on them until I finally beat the Elite Four. I still haven't decided yet. 2. As I've mentioned before, I've been training my Skitty to become a master in all the rankings in the Pokemon Contests. And I'm happy to report that we've succeeded. My Skitty is now the coolest, toughest, most clever, most beautiful, and cutest Skitty in the Hoenn Region. There is even a special ribbon you get if you get one Pokemon through all the ranks, so I guess the developers knew someone would try to do something like this in the game. Anyways, that's all I've done in the game since my last update on it. Hopefully I will be able to say I beat the Elite Four when I post my next progress report.
  24. It's been two months since I've posted anything about my playthrough of Pokemon: Omega Ruby. I still haven't finished the main game yet thanks to the busy season of my job starting up, catching up on everything I've missed since the busy season of my job started up, and my own laziness. But I have made some progress in the game. And that progress is this: 1. I've now beaten all eight of the Hoenn Gym Leaders, so I'm ready to go the Pokemon League now. I haven't yet though, because there are other things I want to do in the game. 2. I've collected the Celebi and Jirachi given out for Pokemon's 20th anniversary. I hope to get the others when they are released. 3. My personally challenge to have my Skitty be in the Master Rank of all five sections of the Pokemon Contests continues on. It has become a master in all the ranks except for coolness, though I intend to start getting it ready for that soon. I was worried that it wouldn't be able to complete the toughness rank, but then it learned double-edge at level 40. That move helped me a lot in that rank. 4. My current team I'm using consists of Sceptile, Swellow, Aggron, Camerupt, Manectric, and Latios. All of them at level 47 at the moment. I have the Mega Stones for all of them that have them except for Camerupt. Though I've been trying not to use Mega Evolution on them to add an extra challenge to the game. Plus I want to try different items on my Pokemon as well. 5. I caught Groudon when it showed up. And I will tell you now, my team was not equipped to fight it. Especially since it went through Primal Reversion to become Primal Groudon. With four of my Pokemon weak to its moves, plus it having the move Rest, it was not an easy battle. Which....I actually didn't mind too much. After seeing how easy the Legendary Pokemon in Pokemon X were to catch, having one as a challenge again reminded me of the old Pokemon games and their Legendary Pokemon. And after a couple of resets, I did finally manage to catch it. 6. I was given the Eon Flute shortly after catching Groudon. At first, I thought it was just a way so that you didn't have to have a Pokemon who knew Fly in your party to quick travel across the map. But boy, was I wrong. I soon learned that you flying on Latios's back allowed you to travel to places you couldn't before. I traveled to an island that had wild Porygon on it. Wild! Porygon! I've never seen them in the wild before. I was shocked when I ran into it. I also learned that you could fight Flying Type Pokemon while flying on Latios, as I learned when I ran into a flock a birds. I then proceeded in scaring the entire Hoenn Region as I sent out Primal Groudon, one of the heaviest Pokemon in existence, to float in midair and do battle with a level 40 Tallow. 7. Speaking of catching Pokemon, I also caught Regirock, Regice, and Registeel. I have a little history with these three Pokemon from the original Pokemon Ruby, in that I didn't even learn they were in that game until I saw a youtuber play through Pokemon Emerald at least five years after I got the game! I then learned what you had to do to unlock them in that game, and this technique is also what is needed to unlock them in Omega Ruby. Basically, you have to find a hidden cavern west of Pacifidlog Town. You have to use Dive in a certain spot, travel underwater until you find braille text on a wall, then surface there to find land. You also need to have a Relicanth as the first member of your party and a Wailord as the last member. Then you read more braille text, then use Dig at that exact spot. This opens an entrance to a cavern with more braille texts on stone walls. You then read all the texts, which then opens the caves that house these three Pokemon. Complicated, isn't it? That's not even mentioning what you have to do in each cave once you get to one, though those tasks are not as complicated as this one. Anyways, I went after each one of them. The first one I fought was Regice. Out of the three, it gave me the most trouble. (If you count accidentally knocking it out once giving you trouble. ) I had to reset on it a couple times, just like Groudon, but at the end of the day I got it. Then I went up against Registeel, who apparently didn't want to put up that much of a fight against me. I paralyzed it, got its health to the red, and then caught it with the first Ultra Ball I threw at it. All that left was Regirock. I did the same thing to it as I did to Regice, in that I paralyzed it and wore it's health down to the red. But unlike its brother, it wanted to put up a fight, as it wouldn't be caught in the Dusk Balls or Ultra Balls I threw at it. So to shake things up, I jokingly threw a Net Ball at it, just to see what would happen. And I guess Regirock liked that particular Pokeball, because that is the one that caught it. I don't know what the chances are of a Net Ball catching a Regirock, but I'm thinking I luck out on that catch. Anyways, that's all the major progress I've made in the game. I'm going to try to see if I can catch Regigigas next if I can, train my Skitty up for the Cool Rank of the Pokemon Contests, then head off to the Pokemon League.
