  1. nother boinkel. why not (click for full) onua my dirt man just doin a dirtquake. or lava... or somethin. lazy background. is it just me or was earth poorly defined vs stone? anyway not sure if we can link youtube videos here, just remove this if it's not allowed. here's a timelapse of creating the picture though. total time was about 30 mins
  2. The main brute force of the team. His main weapon is a pair of gauntlets forged by both the Mask Maker brothers themselves, using the strongest metal taken from the depths of the Earth region mines. Comments and Criticism are welcome!
  3. I was wondering, what's the difference between stone and earth, IRL (in real life) they're basically the same thing, so it's a little stupid. So i'm really confused , i'm more of a casual watcher, I sometimes browse this website and would really like to get in on the lore. (Dual moniter set-up)
  4. In the original series, beings with control over the elemental power of earth - like Toa of Earth - could generate seismic shocks or earthquakes. I didn't think much of this until recently, when I stumbled upon a discussion topic on why there is a difference between what Toa of Earth and Stone control. I'm new here, so I'm not too sure on how to quote things, but an excerpt from one of Greg's Q&As was brought up, and it said that Toa of Earth essentially manipulate soil, as opposed to rock, which is what Toa of Stone control. And that's odd. Earthquakes in our world (as far as I recall, and assuming quick googling is accurate) only really form when the Earth's crust moves. And the crust is essentially stone. I know the Mata Nui robot's ecology and geography clearly don't match up to Earth's, but I highly doubt that their version of the crust is made of soil - that would be horrible as a foundation for entire islands. Anyone have input on this?
  5. Hello there! Well, It has been a while since I last drew some Bionicle... Then one day I got the Idea.... ......KORGOT! Full body, colored sketch on paper of my alternative storyline's Korgot, protectress of Earth. Her humanized face is still the same as the doodle I did a while ago... the exterior armor is a bit changed, with some parts left unaltered (like the drill bomber and the shoulder armor). Dual machineguns and mask got revised, as well as the bottom clothing and grotesque boots. I just wanted her to be a little bit.... dirtier. I mean, guns, body-in-suit truly exposed.... everything. Also, I got the Idea while listening to "Grendel - Dirty"! Grendel (not the beowulf monster, the artist) has become another of my favorite electro-aggrotech artists, and his cyber-goth songs fit pretty well in the cyberpunk-dark-dystopian atmosphere of Bionicle:Reborn.... Just check out "New flesh" and "Harsh generation"! They're both sick! Well, even if it's just a sketch.... enjOI! :3 Original: DeviantArt
  6. Well, here's another MOC from my Flickr galleries that I've been meaning to upload. I've always imagined that Visorak Venom doesn't cause such a drastic change as it does in the sets and movies. Much of the Metru's armor would still be there, but with spikes and extra armor grown through it. I've drawn this concept before (poorly), but this year I realized that the new Bionicle 2015 armor pieces have pretty much the perfect aesthetic for a Hordika/Metru foot, and so Whenua Hordika Revamped was born: Flickr Gallery Some interesting things to note include the opening jaw, the posable shoulders and waist, and the working spinner. So, comment, critique, and hopefully enjoy!
  7. Having picked up Skull Basher the other day, I decided to do a bit of MOCing. Using only parts from Onua, Korgot, and Basher, I have constructed this monstrosity! Finished it in about 25 minutes (not counting the destroying of the three component sets). ^Click for gallery^ Front Back Pose Second pose Close-up of the torso One-foot test Size comparison "Well, it was nice knowing you, Tahu." Leftover parts Dear LEGO, This is how you should do combiners. Sincerely, me. Comments, criticism, and carrot-cake appreciated. Enjoy!
  8. NOTE: I know that I post it here far late, and I know that I have uploaded pics to flickr and submitted to BZPower group in flickr long ago. This is not the most sensible way to do it, post it here late. The reason why I haven't post it here for 3-1 week(s) is that I have been drained and have been busy at college. Most of a time I have time to upload the images to flickr and dA, uploading video takes some time, but posting to the forums takes a lot of time, so my apologies for that. I'm posting now rest of my revamped Toa Okoto, that being, Lewa, Onua and Tahu. I know this may be spamming, but I want post them so that I have my own time to do something else than sitting here and writing stuff. Hello people (yet again)! And you guess it what I'm going to show ya, here we have, The Sleepy Giant itself, Onua, Master of Earth (2.0 version)! More pics: https://www.flickr.com/photos/114946327@N08/sets/72157649173800084/ Video review: So, how should I say about sleepy philosopher hulk here? Well, obviously, he has a lot of details on everywhere. He's a bit bulkier, especially the trapezius area are a bit bulkier than previous version of my revamped Onua. Well, there are no tools and weapons also. I removed quake breakers, pickaxe, club (weapon type), and those claws also. Now it has a hammer, an EARTHQUAKE HAMMER! Good Mata Nui, good thing is that I have built it quickly so it didn't take like IT'S OVER 9 000(!) minutes, hours, days or years! Obviously, I'm really happy that this is much better than the pre-redesign version of Onua. I have seen some people revamping their Onua into silver or gold, and I mean the armor add-on parts, those new vahki armor parts. Honestly, they're not bad, but I found out that they're a bit boring in my taste. I think with gold and silver makes Onua so catchy looking Toa. Overall, I'm happy that I didn't have to build the torso build this year, that would be pain in a butt.
  9. Here they are, Taipu and Onepu. Personally, I don't like using the Onua 2015 body for Taipu, but Taipu is the strongest Onu-Matoran in Onu-Koro, so maybe it's accurate for him to be jacked on steroids. Oh well. Taipu wields his heavy drill-pick and has titanic strength on his side, as well as an Ussal crab donated by his friend and partner, Onepu. Taipu wears a Mask of Stamina, which grants its user near-unlimited endurance and is always on at a low level. Onepu was rebuilt into a stronger form alongside the other Matoran upon their immigration to Spherus Magna. He now wears a powerless Mask of Waterwalking instead of a Pakari- the mask comes with an air reserve for underwater work, which is rather useful when you're digging underground tunnels. Onepu travels with a mining Ussal and a small defensive staff. Despite Taipu's becoming a Toa, the two are still good friends and often travel and work together in the construction of an underground tunnel network across Spherus Magna.
  10. Gamut Hello everyone, this MOD of the protector of Earth is part of my quest to mod every protector. I now present Viper, the main antagonist of the six. His story is linked to the other protector mods. You can check them out at http://www.bzpower.com/board/topic/18021-mod-protectors-of-fire-ice-and-water/ Protector of Earth - The Viper's Background story The protector of fire led the six to protect okoto while the tao slept, and he prayed dearly for their coming. However, the one who hoped most for the toa was Viper. In the beginning, he fought alongside the six, but nearing to end he saw villages being decimated, with the protectors unable to defend all. "When will the toa come?" Viper reminisced a question to his mentor and sworn sister, asked a decade ago. "Soon. They will come before hope is lost," she answered. Now, 15 years passed since then, and the forces of darkness had pushed his people to despair. Viper stood at the charred grounds of another lost battle, with his sworn sister dying in his arms. Viper looked to the sky "Where are the toa, WHEN WILL YOU SEND THEM? MATA NUI, I - CURSE - YOU!" He then looked down at a lifeless mask "they will come before hope is lost? Very well.........very well. Curse me not my brethren for that which I am about to do......" Viper bowed his head in prayer to Mata Nui, "Send your warriors, before I, destroy all hope." Build Of the six, Viper was the most cunning. He utilized hidden weapons and acid; and favored lightweight but sharp blades. He could hide in the shadows and disappear unnoticed. He has two claws and two sets of daggers sheathed at his sides. A protector without a launcher? His acid shooter is hidden. "Would I fight him if he was unarmed? A ridiculous question. No matter the situation, he will have a blade ready. Never, ever, expect a fair fight from the likes of him." - Yeti on Viper
  11. Earth. Stone. Both are found in the ground, so why are there two separate elements? I scarcely see a difference between the two, other than the density of the materials involved. This is similar with the elemental power of Iron, which I understand is basically just about metal - also found in the ground. My question is, why not combine them all into an overall element of Earth? You might ask what would become of Pohatu, whose elemental power I say would become Kinetics - a merger of elemental powers of physics such as Sonics, Magnetism, Gravity, et cetera - of course inspired by the discussion "Two Thoughts on Elements" thread. Pohatu as a Toa of Kinetics stems largely from his bearing the Kanohi Kakama, as well as wide open desert to play around with and perhaps the Kohlii football. This is similar with Lightning and Light - come on, just make one elemental for the electromagnetic spectrum and call it Light. Or, combine lightning with Kinetics, since like the forces mentioned above, electricity is a fundamental part of physics. I almost want to see Ice merged with Water, and Psionics be granted to Kopaka and the Ko-Matoran, but we all know why males can't be trusted with that. (Thanks a lot, Toa Orde!)

  14. As far as the storyline goes it has never been announced weather meeting humans is possible (as far as I know). But What do you think?
  15. I have never heard anything that contradicts this theory. As we know Spherus Magna is in space in a galaxy called the Galactic universe (briefly shown in The Legend Reborn). Although humans, and earth have never been accepted into the BIONICLE Canon (and probably never will be), It is still possible. Who knows only Greg can truly answer it.
  16. Meet Nukovac, the Toa of Earth in the Toa team Alpha. He bears the Kanohi Ruru, wields a mace, and can control most forms of earth. ^Click for LARGER picture!^ NOTE: He has appeared in my epic: The Adventures of Sandstorm! EDIT: After I am done with Part 1 of my Epic, I will make a short story of him!
  17. well, it might seem like a dumb question, but i've been thinking about this for a while, since both earth and stone seems to be very similar in a way to me, what are the differences between them both, like how is each used differently?@tekula oh u actually had me going there for a second lol.Edit:So I;m guessing his topic has been discussed before, oh well, I didn't really feel like starting looking for one and I was kinda confused, i just need a bit more explaination, i got my answer now, thanks everyone.
  18. Microscopes to Telescopes Status Report Time: 22:03Date: 2117Location: Area 51 Test case was a partial success. Participant A12 is now functioning as designed with minimal side effects, consisting of temporary stiffness and initial memory loss. Participant A13 is functioning with the same initial stiffness. Major side effects include permanent amnesia and inhibition of muscular faculties. Participant A14- Renee Dean exited out of the report and tossed the data pad onto her desk, unable to read any more. Her stomach twisted with unease and she reached for her mug of coffee, taking a few small sips.It didn’t help much; after all, she knew full well that nothing would. Nothing could change what they were doing, despite the extensive report she had provided the government with prior to the test case.Renee wanted to curse but she noticed Dr. Tripp passing behind her so she bit back the words that threatened to spew out of her mouth. Foul language irritated the woman and she was in no mood for a confrontation. But one year! One year of her life she had spent analyzing and reanalyzing the compatibility of nerve cells with the proposed treatment. And the half a dozen plane flights to medical institutes across the nation to read hundreds of medical journals discussing the issue. She had even petitioned the government to provide her with a three million dollar grant to conduct her own, specialized research in one of the most technologically advanced labs in the world. And then there were all the headaches, the nights spent in the lab till she finally crashed on her work stool at five in the morning. That wasn’t even speaking of all the things she could have been doing with her time instead. But no, despite her negative conclusions and strong recommendations to hold off on the human testing until a chemical component could be developed to counteract or alter the dendrites of the nerve cells, making them compatible with treatment, the government pushed forward.Renee wasn’t the type of person to be bitter, especially since she was a government consultant and not the project manager. It wasn’t her shot to call. And so if the test had been successful, she would have swallowed her pride and accepted the good news with as much grace as she could muster. However it wasn’t a success, no matter what the report labeled it. Permanent amnesia in even one of the test subjects was not even a ‘major side effect’; it was a disaster! Normally, she would have rested assured that the government would shelf the research for now. But their labeling of the test outcome as a ‘partial’ success ominously hinted that they may not yet be finished.“Doctor Dean?”Swiveling in her chair, Renee fixed a polite expression on her face and looked at Katrina expectantly. “Yes?”“I have a call for you on line two,” the office assistant informed her, tugging at her too-tight sweater.“Thank you,” she responded, reaching for the screen controls. “And can you shut the door?” But the woman had already left.Renee heaved a sigh. This was the third office assistant the Baltimore branch of Zenith Consulting Services had hired in the past six months and they’d yet to find anyone qualified. She switched on the screen mounted on the opposite wall and accepted the call.“Good evening, doctor.”Renee shook her head hopelessly at the white-blond figure before her. No matter the occasion, he always greeted her as ‘doctor’. And every time, that same greeting sent her stomach fluttering. “Good evening, Erik.”“How are things in the city?” Erik asked, as usual, as he unbuttoned his lab coat and laid it gently on what looked like a black table. As much as she wanted to unload all of her frustrations, and, and downright concerns onto him, she refrained herself. The man looked even more tired than he usually did, his crystal blue eyes rimmed in circles of gray.“You know, the usual,” Renee said with a shrug. “Just a lot of work. Endless stacks of reports to review.” “Usual?” He asked bemusedly.Though she knew he didn’t believe her façade, she attempted once more to distract him from a subject she didn’t think she could speak of without screaming. “Your usual is a lot more exciting than my usual.Erik raised an eyebrow but didn’t push the issue and question her further. “Not always. After nine hours of staring into a microscope, it all begins to look the same.”Renee gave him a pointed look. “Don’t give me that. I don’t think all the chemical research you’ve been conducting and the medicines you’ve been developing can be classified as boring.”“Can, can we not talk about work?” Rubbing his forehead with his hand, he took a deep breath. “Have you seen Taylor lately?”Erik wasn’t just tired. When he was sleep-deprived, he became quiet and only slightly moody. But now… he was somewhat irritable. Something was wrong. And besides, why would he ask about Taylor? He didn’t like her sister. Though he didn’t ever say anything like that, she noticed his cool withdrawal from the conversation whenever Taylor arrived. She realized she still hadn’t responded. “No, not really. She’s been working a lot, started her position as a manager.”“Who?”Renee cocked her head at him in bewilderment. “Taylor. My sister. You just asked about her.”“I’m sorry, Renee, I just have a lot-” He stopped as someone in the room handed him a sheet of paper. After a moment, his mouth opened slightly and his face whitened. “Can I call you later? I’m so sorry.”There was a click and then the screen became blank. She could only stare dumbfounded at the blackness, a mixture of annoyance and concern filling her. But the more she thought about his behavior, any irritation was swallowed up by worry. Erik didn’t act like this without reason.****“Dr. Dean, did you want me to finish the report?”Renee didn’t even glance up from the microscope. “Yes.” Maneuvering the control stick, she changed her focus to a new quadrant. Either she counted incorrectly or there wasn’t a single mitochondria in any of these cells. It was bizarre, and, and disturbing.“And Dr. Dean?”She sighed as the interruption made her lose her count for what felt the tenth time today. “What?” She snapped as she removed her eye goggles and set them down on the lab table.“There’s a meeting in the conference room,” Katrina said casually. “Immediately.”Strange. The only meetings they ever had were ones she knew about several weeks in advance. But they were never anything so impromptu. She wryly wondered whether the government was suing Zenith Consulting Services because she somehow didn’t adequately explain to them the dangers of their testing. However, the moment she stepped through the glass double doors and then sat down, her stomach began churning. There was a packet in front of every doctor, each stamped with a bright red “Classified. Program Eyes Only.”Dr. Rosen barely waited for everyone to get settle before he stood up. “H9B2. If you’ll open your packets, you can read it for yourself. But right now the government is pressing for immediacy.”The government was pressing for immediacy? Renee felt her mouth go dry. It couldn’t be about the testing; that wasn’t possible. After all they began testing only four days ago.”“-an extremely lethal and air-born virus. The virus remains dormant for up to a week, after which the victim begins to show symptoms. It was brought onto Earth a year ago by the U.S.S. Bentley, where one of the crew contracted it on one of the inner rim planets. Somehow it penetrated the vac-suit. But they managed to contain the virus; the only ones affected were those onboard.”“If they contained it, why are we worrying about it now?” Dr. Valdez interjected.Dr. Rosen pushed his glasses farther up his nose. “They never knew which planet it came from, and there were still two exploratory vessels in the region that would eventually make their way to Earth.”“But the United States screens all inbound ships from our off-planet docking station before they’re allowed to land,” Dr. Tripp commented. “It shouldn’t be an issue.”“Not all nations adhere to the same strict standards as the United States. But regardless, in its dormant stage, the virus is nearly impossible to detect. Within seven days, the victim could have traveled to a hundred stores and infected a thousand people.”“What are you saying?” Renee finally couldn’t help but ask.Dr. Rosen touched his glasses again, even though they hadn’t slid down his nose. “I’m saying it’s here. The H9B2 is on Earth.”Renee caught her breath. She had expected something bad but nothing like this.“The government has been researching for the past year, trying to find a cure or treatment that might destroy it. But they’ve found nothing,” Dr. Rosen took a deep breath. “The only option is to run.”What was the man saying? Run a triathlon? Run to the store?“The government is prepared to commence a strategic evacuation of the entire nation to the one inner rim planet they know isn’t contaminated with the virus.”Dr. Tripp shook her head, her silky dark hair falling into her face. “That isn’t possible. We have yet to discover a planet that can support human life.”“Human life,” Dr. Rosen corrected. “The government has developed a high risk procedure…treatment that essentially infuses chemically altered metals into the bloodstream. These metals are compatible with biological cells and fuse together. And Zenith Consulting Services happens to be one of only a dozen labs equipped with the staff and facilities to administer this treatment.”Renee’s heart stopped. She couldn’t think. High risk procedure…. Fusion of metals and biological cells...She had spent the last year of her life researching the adverse neural effects of a treatment. A treatment that was the only hope of the human race.****Renee blinked. One week ago, she could never have imagined that she would have injected over three hundred people with a metallurgical-chemical treatment and then sent them to be shut into vac-tubes to be transported to a different planet. One week ago, she wouldn’t have imagined that she would have to be injected with the same treatment and then shipped off to some planet labeled ‘B’ in a vessel that once transported power to millions of homes. The days and nights had run together into one long blur. She hadn’t seen the sun in at least four days and she didn’t even know if she had the energy to lift her arm and administer the treatment even once more. It was all too impossible to fathom, and even if she could’ve fathomed it, she hadn’t been given a moment alone to think. And Erik… she hadn’t been allowed to call him. She hadn’t been able to see his beautiful blue eyes and hear his voice-“Dr. Dean, please lie down.”Her heart thumping wildly, she slowly lowered herself onto one of the tables.“Doctor, I have an incoming call, a Doctor Erik Kopaka, for Renee Dean. Can she take it?”Renee sat up in a flash. “Dr. Valdez, a moment?”Dr. Valdez hesitated as his fingers worked to attach a foot-long needle to an IV.“Please, Antonio?” Renee would have begged. She would have done anything to be able to speak with Erik.“One minute.”A surge of adrenaline course through her body and she snatched the portable call-screen away and flipped it on. “Erik?”Erik appeared, his white-blond hair disheveled and his eyes mirroring the exhaustion she felt. “Hello, doctor.”Still, the same greeting. Renee wanted to cry. But she managed a smile. “Hello, sir. I, I assume they’ve been using your lab for the administrations as well.”“Renee…” Erik had never looked so distressed.“What?”He squeezed his hands together. “I did it. I developed the treatment.”Renee heard the words, but they didn’t yet click in her mind. That couldn’t be right. Erik would have told her about the virus. He wouldn’t have kept it from her.“I couldn’t tell a soul. Our, our conversations are always monitored. They wanted to avoid a panic.” Cool, calm Erik was falling in pieces. “I’m sorry, Renee. I’m sorry.”Her stomach twisted into horrible knots as she watched a tear slide down his cheek. No, she couldn’t lose him. She couldn’t. “It’s not your fault.”“I’m sorry,” he repeated.“Stop it!” She couldn’t stop her own tears from coming. Though she heard Dr. Valdez re-enter the room she didn’t care. “I, I love you.”Erik wiped the single tear aside, but the heartache in his eyes didn’t leave. “I love you, too, doctor.”****Transport 127Name: U.S.S. Second To None

Second to NoneStory Topic Disclaimer: I do not own Bionicle, and OC's are mine. _|/_|/_|/_Introduction: The Art of Hiding in Plain Sight _|/_|/_|/_ Makuta Regius sat up, shaking his aching head. He looked around. He was in the middle of a vast, empty desert. There were tall rock formations, or maybe cliffs to his back, with caves inside, he guessed. They would serve as a place to stay, until he figured out exactly what had gone wrong in his experiment, and why he'd ended up here. He'd been experimenting with a Kanohi Kualsi, and a Kanohi Olmak, and some teleportation disks and a couple of Xian products. Long story short, it hadn't ended up well. Was he in the desert of Zakaz? Or was he somewhere on the Southern Continent? He would figure that out later. It was the middle of the night. But the light from the stars and moon and the clear, clean air made it possible for him to see everything around him. What he saw, well, he could have screamed. It looked like the better part of his laboratory was scattered in the soft sand around him. It was so disorganized! He went running around, salvaging any supplies he could.Hours later, when day was just breaking, Makuta Regius could be found in the highest cave in the desert cliffs, taking inventory of his supplies that he had scavenged from the sands and muttering to himself."Visorak Venom… Mutagen… vials of Energized Protodermis…Antidermis… Mask of Regeneration…Shadow Leeches…uh…Mask of Fusion…Toa Stone? How'd that get in there? Lightstones… heatstones…Memory Crystals, good good… Kanohi Rau…Disk Launcher. No discs… Wonderful. "After taking inventory, Regius sighed at his pitiful stock of supplies. Who knows. He thought, sitting down heavily. Maybe something good will come out of this. _|/_|/_|/_ (Hundreds of Years Later...)"Thank you, and pleasure doing business with you, Ma'am." A very tall, dark haired man said, smiling winningly, and shaking her hand courteously. He walked back down her lengthy, sophisticated looking driveway with long, sure strides. He hopped into his crimson Ford Mustang and sped away with a friendly wave out the window.Linda shook her head, wondering what just happened, as she ambled across her luxurious front yard to replace the 'For Sale' sign, with the 'Sold' one. She and her family had been looking to move from their home in Pennsylvania to somewhere with a more flat landscape, like South Dakota. Some people would ask why they were selling a perfectly grand home in the shadow of the Appalachians for a home somewhere in the wilder west. Sometimes Linda asked herself the same thing. But the man she'd sold her home to had been very honest and forthcoming. She had to laugh, because she remembered the red Mustang, pulling into her driveway, and the sharply dressed, handsome looking man asking a few questions about the house and the 'For Sale' sign. And after a tour of the house, he'd just very simply pulled a checkbook out of his pocket, and written out the check for the entire house, and handed it to her, all smiles."Umm… Are you sure that's legal, sir? Isn't there paperwork and banking and insurance matters you need to take care of?" She'd asked, still staring at the number on the check. $1,500,000 stared right back up at her. This man must be extremely wealthy, for him to throw around a million and a half dollars around like grocery store money. "Are you sure your check here is correct? I mean, you can always make a down payment, and pay the rest off over time.""Ma'am, I assure you, I've taken care of matters." The man had said, in an assuring, gentle tone which also carried the slightly threatening question, 'Are you doubting me?'Linda hadn't asked any more questions. Her buyer had made a few inquires about the local school district and the town and some other, trivial things, and then left. And now, Linda whipped out her cell phone and speed dialed her husband to tell him the good news. _|/_|/_|/_ The driver of the car smiled to himself, very pleased with his purchase. It was a very nice house, very spacious and impressive, much to his taste. He drove into Harrisburg, the capitol of the state he was currently in, and parked the car at exactly the same parking meter he had found it. He glanced over his parking job."Perfect. Exactly how I found it." He said, clapping his hands together, and sauntering off like any other pedestrian. "Oh." He remembered, suddenly, and turned quickly back for the car. He opened the driver's door, jabbed the button that locked all the doors, and closed the door again. "That's better." He nodded, walking off again. To anyone he met during the day, he was Mr. Regius Grant, an accomplished businessman, whose beautiful wife, Trista, had tragically perished in a train crash four years ago this month. But in truth, he was a scientist, lost and stranded, and far away from his real home. Back home, he was Makuta Regius, leading researcher, scientist, and trusted right hand man to Makuta Miserex, leader of the Brotherhood. All Regius remembered from how he got here, was himself, working on one of his many experiments, a big boom, and then waking up in the middle of the Sahara Desert. He found it very impossible to get back to his own universe. So, giving up, he decided to take advantage of his unfortunate situation, and make it a learning experience. He'd quickly learned that the dominant species, or any species of living thing for that matter, was completely organic. They weren't accustomed to a nine foot, crimson and black armored titan wielding a heavy double headed spear and Kanohi Turbulis, or Mask of Incomprehension. But the good thing was, Makuta were shape shifters. With some extensive studying and experimenting, Regius had eventually been able to shape shift, limitedly, into more organic things from this world he was on. Example: his human form. He wasn't one hundred percent organic, still. The armor and other mechanical parts that were too hard to get rid of were molded into a human skeleton as he changed his shape. So he was a lot heavier than a normal human male of his appropriate size and build.Regius lived completely off the grid. Some of his own technology could easily fool human devices. Where his inventions failed, his natural abilities and powers as a Makuta never did. The most useful ability of his was his sway over Psionics, which was proving overly useful. Human minds were very easy to bamboozle, actually. Their computers and other electronic machines were even easier to fool. Right now, Regius was headed overseas to pick up a small order of car parts from a company in Japan that he might need to repair his spear, in case it ever needed patching up. Some of the metals in the car parts were very similar to the metallic protodermis making up his weapon. He took the empty elevator in the nearest skyscraper to the rooftop. He checked the area, and saw that it was empty. Before he stepped out of the elevator, he shut his eyes briefly, and concentrated. To an onlooker, it would look like the very air around Regius was beginning to be vacuumed up by something. And then, with a whomph-ing sound, a sphere of shadow appeared to engulf Regius. When the sphere faded as quickly as it had materialized, Makuta Regius stood there, complete with his Kanohi Mask and crimson armor. The Makuta glanced around for any security cameras that might be hiding nearby. He did find one just inside the elevator. Reaching up and placing a hand over the lens, and grasping the power cord coming out of the back of it, he sent a small coded electrical code through the camera into the database, and erased any footage they might have caught of him. He jabbed a couple of buttons on the elevator, and sent it back down empty. Satisfied, he turned and shifted again. This time, there was nothing to see when the black sphere dispersed. Regius had shifted into a very sentient Rahi species known as Avokah. Literally as fast as lightning, there was nothing for the eye to follow. _|/_|/_|/_ The Mask of Incomprehension was designed to scramble the target's spoken and written language. Most considered it an immoral Mask of Power. But Regius had used the Mask of Fusion from his old lab to fuse together his own Kanohi Turbulis and the Kanohi Rau, Mask of Translation. Even while Regius was in his human shape, he could activate his Kanohi. He didn't know why, or how, but he was grateful that he could. It allowed him to speak and understand other languages in this world. The only language he'd actually taken time to learn was English, because the English-speaking cultures were the ones that he dealt 'business' with most often.Regius the sophisticated American businessman walked out of the Toyota Car Dealership with his shipment of car parts tucked away in his briefcase. Now that he'd bought the house, he could move his small laboratory from the isolated Rocky Mountains to deep inside the Appalachian Mountains, where his new house sat. He had been, and still was, busy creating more and more of the substances he already had, back from his old lab on Destral. Right now, he was just breaking through on replicating an exact copy of Visorak Venom. But he'd need big boxes and shipment vehicles to ship everything from his old place to his new one. All of his equipment and supplies he'd stockpiled for over two hundred years was definitely too much for him to move on his own. He was also busy crafting armor and such, as a pastime. In a dark alley way, Regius quickly shape shifted into the form of a dragon Rahi known as a Phase Dragon, that were also very fast. Clutching his briefcase in his claws, he took off as quickly and silently as he could. If his sources were correct, there was a shipping company in New York City that would help him with his move.If anyone had the nerve to ask Regius about his border hopping, he'd just pull out his 'passport', or ask someone to pull up his 'flight number' and the 'airline' he'd flown on. He'd been illegally jumping countries for years, and never been caught. Being a Makuta had its advantages, certainly.Regius walked a few crowded blocks, before he got to his destination. Very eager to get business finished, he almost tripped over a baby carrier, complete with a baby, that was sitting on the steps, off to the side. He shrugged, guessing that someone had marked 'take your kid to work day' wrong on their calendar. And, half an hour later, when he was exiting the business, he nearly stepped on the same baby carrier and the same sleeping baby. Frowning and generally annoyed, he popped his head inside."Hey, you know you have a kid out here? Like someone left a baby for you." He called."Oh, that's probably another lady hoping we'd drop her kid off at the orphanage for her." Was the answer. What, did mothers drop their kids off willy-nilly on random street corners? What kind of crazy city was this? The receptionist said, "Drop the child off at the orphanage around the corner for me, and I'll give you a discount on your shipment price.""Discount? How much of a discount?" Regius asked, liking the sound of that. But still, did this clerk even care that a child had been dumped on his doorstep?"Ten percent." The clerk replied."Twenty." Regius countered."Fifteen." He shot back."Done." Regius said."Done." The receptionist repeated."Thank you, pleasure doing business with you, sir." Regius said, backing out of the shop again, and he stooped down to inspect the still sleeping child. It was a girl. It had to be. She must have been only four or five months old. The Makuta in disguise marveled at how soundly the baby was sleeping. Regius wondered what in the world could have tuckered the little thing out so much, because she was very very fast asleep. Curious, Regius shifted through the many blankets wrapped around the baby, hoping maybe to find a nametag or a note or something. He found nothing of the sort. But what he did find made him, a hardened Makuta warrior and scientist flinch back in repulsion.Right there, in plain sight was a horrendous burn mark. Regius thought he could see charred bone. Right on the little child's arm, on the inside of her elbow. The rest of the arm below that was dead and most likely infected, from the smell of it. Cursing under his breath, the Makuta asked himself what could have the heart to do this to such an innocent infant. Or who could have let something like that happen. Regius quickly figured out that the child wasn't drifting off into sleep. She was drifting off into death.Thinking fast, Regius snatched up the battered baby carrier, and rushed down the couple of steps. He'd be doing a good thing, if he saved this child's life. He would also be doing a selfish thing, he supposed. But truth be told, it could never be too late to get a lab assistant. But raising the child as a lab assistant was actually starting to sound like something else completely to Regius. Something called 'parenthood'. _|/_|/_|/_ (Three Months Later)Regius was very pleased with his handiwork. In order to save the infant's life that he had found only months ago, he'd had to postpone his move. But he decided that postponing the move had been worth it. He had what was comparable to a top notch operation room set up around him. He stepped back, regarding the now nine month old child, who was in a deep medically induced slumber. The Makuta had worked practically nonstop to halt the infection from her wounded arm from spreading. To make a long story shorter, he'd had to amputate the dead, burnt limb above the elbow, and replaced it with a healthy, biomechanical one, similar to his own. The artificial limb was as much a part of the child as any real one. It would grow and function, and work with her brain and the rest of her body. During the past two weeks, he could do nothing but wait, as the infant's nervous system took in the artificial arm and how it worked. All the while Regius had buried himself in a heap of all the parenting books he could find. Was he scared to death, worried that he might have or would eventually ruin this child's life? Of course. But he assured himself that he'd be fine. Better than fine. He was a Makuta, naturally successful at anything he tried. At least, that's what he told himself. He'd already figured out the name for the child. Lorena, from the Latin word for the Laurel flower, a symbol of both ambition and glory. And Dhalia, a flower that symbolized elegance and dignity. And the surname, Grant, was a form of 'great'. Regius smiled to himself. He'd picked out the perfect name. The child would proclaim the Makuta's glory with elegance and dignity. He jabbed a few buttons, opened her deep brown eyes for the first time in months, Regius whispered, "The world welcomes you, Lorena Dhalia Grant." _|/_|/_|/_ Review Topic
