Greetings to those reading this topic. So I'm still trying to hunt down a couple of Bionicle pieces and exclusives and am hoping that some of you can help me out in some way or another. Unfortunately I'm in the middle of a move so I don't have anything to offer as far as trades go, but I can and will happily offer money. So the first thing on my list of wants is the Comic-Con edition of Bionicle Ignition 3 with the variant cover (pictured below): Since I haven't come across this comic at all over the past couple of years, I'd be willing to offer $50 for it in Near Mint condition. Lastly and most importantly for me, I'm still trying to hunt down a GPKK Xa and Vu (pictured below). For those of you who don't know what these are, the Gray Plastic Krana-Kal were rare prototype Krana given out to Proto Squad members in 2003. Despite how some of them may look in different pictures due to bad lighting, they are NOT the Dark Gray Krana found with the Lehvak Va sets. These Krana are made from hard plastic (like normal Lego bricks) as opposed to the rubber they used in most Krana. This is what makes them so unique and rare. Here are pictures of the ones I own. These have proven extremely difficult to track down and the only people I know who own them have complete sets of GPKK and who won't be parting with them any time soon. I've offered incentives in the past for people who can help me locate these Krana and I will continue to do so. Unfortunately I am all out of spare WMKK to offer, so I will just offer money. If you can help me get in touch with someone who owns one of these two GPKK and I am able to work out a deal with them, I will give you $100 USD just for helping me find them. Another way that you can earn some extra money from me is if you locate one of these two GPKK on a place like eBay or Bricklink. Should you find one and you are unable to reach me, feel free to bid on the item or buy it in my stead and I will reimburse you as quickly as possible and add $100 to whatever price you bought the Krana for. If you are reading this and happen to own one of the two (or both) of the GPKK that I am looking for, I am ready to offer $400 per Krana. Please contact me if you are interested in selling and I'm sure we can work something out. Feel free to ask questions.

As of today, I own every Gen2 set, including the Hero Pack and Comic-Con mask. But that got me thinking... how much did that cost? So thats... $10 * 6 (protectors) $15 * 4 (Gali, Lewa, Pohatu, LoSS) $20 * 3 (Tahu, Kopaka, Onua) So, 60 times 3, with a total of $180. That's right. if you own every gen2 set, you spent $180 on them, plus extra if you were late to the bandwagon with getting the clear comic-con mask. Personally, I got mine off eBay for $30, so I spent $210, excluding total tax. Now, what about summer? Skull Warrior, Basher, Scorpio, and Slicer are all $15, so that's $60, and Skull Grinder + Ekimu is $30. Wave 2 totals in at $90. All in all, the total cost of Gen2 waves 1 and 2 is $270*. If you don't own any of the sets yet, and you want all of them, you'd better have some money saved. These are some expensive toys. Granted, they have the versatility of LEGO and the functionality of action figures, so I say it's worth it. What about you? Do you think that the 18 sets of 2015 are worth $270? Let me know; I'm interested to hear your opinion. *If you don't live in the US, I took the liberty of converting approximate currencies. European Union - 256 Euros UK - 182 Pounds Canada - 345 Dollars Mexico - 4,174 Pesos Sorry if your country isn't up there. I tried.

In my last topic, I analyzed the total price of gen2, excluding the clear Mask of Fire from Comic-Con. Obviously, some people got it for free from the actual event, but some of us weren't that fortunate. So, from what I can tell, a lot of us bought one off of eBay or similar websites. However, by the nature of reselling, the price varies a lot. I was wondering what some other people paid to get their hands on 1 of 1500 masks. I shelled out $32, you?

I was having a conversation with my dad about Bionicle and it soon went to why Bionicle is releasing after Christmas instead of before. He brought up several good points- the Christmas season, and december in general, is when the most toys are bought during the year. By releasing Bionicle in december, Lego could easily make a hefty profit. Also, if the extreme hype paid off and the new Bionicle sets were all bought up due to an early, in-time-for-holidays release day, it would increase the demand for them and they'd be worth more money. Finally, most Bionicle fans will spend money to buy presents for Christmas, and may not want to spend lots of money soon afterward. Coming from a non-fan, he made a good argument. I'm equally confused why Lego would pass up an opportunity to make lots of money like this one. It seems odd that they'd release a reboot of one of their most successful themes after the biggest toy-buying season. Why would Lego do this when they would make a profit no matter how you look at it, and fans would get to introduce others to Bionicle- which would make more people wanting to buy Lego Bionicle. I was looking forward to buying Bionicles for my siblings, and they're pretty bummed they might be getting New Year's gifts from me instead of Christmas gifts.
