  1. I had to shrink these down to fit BZP's 500 kb limit. To see higher-res versions of these pages and more, simply visit the DA gallery. https://nickinamerica.deviantart.com/gallery/64101494/The-Toa-A-Bionicle-retelling Please also consider checking out Planet Ripple, my original series. And now, read on gathered friends. Before anyone asks about Nova Orbis.... Trust me, I will get back to that someday. But every time I've tried to get back into it lately, I've just given myself a headache and gotten overwhelmed. Keep in mind, I'm also working on Planet Ripple every day that I can, so I'll be lucky to finish a page of this per day on top of that. But I wanted to give people here something simple and refreshing that I could update regularly, so here it is. "The Toa" as I'm calling it, is going to be a simple retelling of the original story, mostly focused on 2001 but referencing some other things. It's not a simple recap of the Mata Nui Online Game's story, as you may've noticed already from some of the twists shown so far. The Toa Canisters actually do fall from space this time, there are boys and girls in all Matoran tribes (there's a female Ta-Matoran to the left in the panel where Vakama emerges from his hut), Tahu nearly dies landing directly on the island, and Takua doesn't have amnesia from falling on a beach. I have many other tweaks in store, and it's going to diverge more and more from the original story over time. Basically, if I had to take the BEST things about G1 and cram them into one simple, easy to follow, streamlined story that addresses many of the criticisms made over the years... this is how I'd do it. Rather, how I'm going to do it. So yeah... feedback is appreciated. I hope this first taste has people excited.
  2. Well, after an extremely long hiatus and a new forum, BZPower is finally back! And between the forums being down for nearly a year and my extremely sporadic updating schedule before that, it feels like I haven't written a BIONICLE comedy chapter in forever. So what better way to celebrate my (and everyone else's) return to BZP than with a remake of my first comedy, The Nuva Inn? This is going to be a REMAKE, not a verbatim cut and paste of the original. Yes, I'm going to keep the same general plots for the chapters, the same running jokes, and the same script format, since prose just wouldn't work very well with the style of humor found in TNI. If you want to read the few chapters saved from the original classic, just go here! Once I've caught up to wherever I was originally (which might take a while,) then I'll write new chapters, and most of the later chapters might just end up being cut and paste from the original. It's mostly the earlier chapters that are long overdue for a rewrite anyway, and to be honest, reading those first chapters again actually is a bit embarrassing. (UPDATE: As a result of the repeated hackings, dataclysms, and general loss of all archived material, any chapters after the end of the "Pieism" saga/Ask Matau! crossover will no longer be directly based on the original's chapters, with the exception of one or two toward the end of the original's run that I still have saved on my computer. I'll try my best to recall certain plots and jokes that I remember, and any assistance in remembering old TNI chapters is also appreciated). So, without further ado... The Nuva Inn A BIONICLE comedy by Me! Chapter 1: The Beginning...Again? Narrator: *game show voice* Welcome to...THE NUVA INN! Onua: What is this, a game show? Narrator: Oh, sorry, I worked as a game show announcer at my last job. Anyway, we join the Toa Nuva standing around in an open field. Onua: That's too cliche! Narrator: Well, too bad! Onua: ...Wait a second, this seems awfully familiar... Gali: Come to think of it, I vaguely remember doing all of this before. I have some fuzzy memories of running a hotel, a bunch of Guest Stars, a pie-obsessed Matoran, and me repeatedly fusing with a Glatorian. Tahu: Hey, how come you get to remember all of that stuff? I don't remember anything, just a vague sense of deja vu like Onua. Gali: I have psychic powers. Tahu: REALLY? Gali: Of course! How else do you explain that mental connection Takua and I had during the end of the MNOG? Onua: She has a point. Tahu: But if we already built a hotel, then why are we standing here in a field doing nothing? Gali: Let me think...what were we doing before this happened...oh, of course! We time traveled! Tahu: WHAT. Gali: No, seriously! Nuparu made a time machine and we traveled back in time to one of the first chapters. Something must have gone wrong and got us stuck back here, plus erased all of our memories. Onua: Except yours. Gali: Not anymore. I just forgot everything. Onua: Wow, how convenient. Narrator: Can we just get on with the story already? We join the Toa Nuva in an empty field earlier today. *A large number of monkeys wearing construction hats are building something* Monkey 1: Monkey noises! Monkey 2: Monkey noises! Monkey 3: Monkey noises! Lewa: You're not supposed to speaksay "Monkey Noises," you're supposed to talkmake actual monkey noises! Monkey 1: But we don't know what kind of noises monkeys make! Onua: Narrator, this isn't early enough! Narrator: Hmmph! Fine! *In the aforementioned empty field...* Pohatu: I'm bored. Lewa: Me too. Tahu: Hey, I've got an idea! Let's run a hotel! Everyone but Tahu: Tahu: What? It would be fun! Gali: This has got to be the most cliche beginning ever. *Pohatu raises his hand* Tahu: I'm not a teacher, you don't have to raise your hand. What is it, Pohatu? Pohatu: How can we run a hotel that doesn't exist yet? Tahu: What are you talking about? Our hotel does too exist! Pohatu: No it doesn't. Hotels don't just appear, you know. *A hotel falls out of the sky and crushes Pohatu* Gali: Oh, the irony. Lewa: *points to sign outside hotel door* Hey, seelook! It showsays "THE HOTEL NEXT DOOR." Gali: Next door? Next door to what? Kopaka: Our hotel? Tahu: Ha, I was right! See, Pohatu? ...Pohatu? Pohatu: Oog... Tahu: Never mind. Come on, follow me and let's go! Lewa: Hey, how come youTahu get to be the headleader? Tahu: "YouTahu?" That sounds like an awesome idea for the name of a video-sharing website. Anyway, the red guys are always the leader because it's in the script. *Everyone pulls out their scripts for "THE NUVA INN"* Lewa: *tosses script* Loseforget this! I, Lewame, will herenow be the headleader! Just like Zaktan, the brightgreen guys will rule! Tahu: You can't do that! And Zaktan doesn't count because he's a Piraka. Zaktan: *appears* Hey, you got a problem with me being a Piraka, punk? *grabs Tahu and shoves him in a trash can before leaving* Pohatu: That was weird. Gali: No kidding. Oh well, regardless of random trash-can-obsessed Piraka, where are we going to find our hotel? Lewa, any ideas? Lewa: We buildconstruct one! Onua: But where will we get construction workers? Lewa: As headleader, I have an awesomecool smartidea! *Lewa makes a whistle call like in Mask of Light* Everyone but Lewa: ... Kopaka: Hey, that's my line! Gali: Nothing happened. Oh well, let's party! *A disco ball descends from the sky and party lights and music starts playing while Gali dances around* Everyone: *Suddenly, 1,000 monkeys wearing construction hats run up to the Toa and assemble behind Lewa* Lewa: Told you it would succeedwork! Now, monkeys, startbegin building our hotel! *Later that day...* Monkey 1: Monkey noises! Monkey 2: Monkey noises! Monkey 3: Monkey noises! Lewa: You're not supposed to speaksay "Monkey Noises," you're supposed to talkmake actual monkey noises! Monkey 1: But we don't know what kind of noises monkeys make! Lewa: I think it's an "ooh ooh aah aah" kind of soundnoise. Monkey1: Oh, okay, thanks. Ooh ooh aah aah! *Even later...* Lewa: Movepush that giganticblock over herethere! Monkey #572, watchcheck that falling beam! I mean...never mind. Being headleader is tougher than I believedthought. I don't knowthink I can do thisthat. Onua: There's a leader opening? Then I, Onua, inspired by Garan, shall take command! *Garan appears and blasts Onua with a pulse bolt* Onua: Ouch. Never mind. Pohatu: That's weird. How come whenever we mention someone's name, they appear? *A random Matoran appears* Pohatu: Who are you? RM: I'm someone's name! Pohatu: Huh? RM: My name is "Someone's Name!" Pohatu: *sighs* I rest my case. *Someone's Name disappears* Kopaka: ... *Awkward silence* Lewa: So...what now? The hotel isn't even halfpart donefinished! *Takanuva suddenly falls out of the sky and lands on Pohatu* Takanuva: I am Takanuva, Toa of Light! Gali: Wow, how did you survive that fall? You fell hundreds of feet, you could have been killed! Takanuva: Could have been, but I'm not. Kopaka: You're being repetitive. Takanuva: No. Kopaka: Yes you are--you said the exact same things in Mask of Light! Takanuva: No. Kopaka: Yes you are! Takanuva: No. Kopaka: Is that all you can say? Takanuva: No. Kopaka: Then what else can you say? Takanuva: No. Kopaka: I meant besides "no." Takanuva: No. Kopaka: No, something else! Takanuva: No. Kopaka: Shut up. Takanuva: No. Kopaka: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!! Gali: *groans* That was annoying. Good thing Takanuva's just here randomly for one scene, or that might end up becoming a running joke that lasts for the next hundred or so chapters... Takanuva: Okay, that's enough tormenting Kopaka. Lewa, what are you doing? Lewa: We're building a hotel. Takanuva: Let me help! *blasts construction with light, creating a gleaming, 9,321-story tower instantly* Lewa: Impressive! You're hired! Gali: AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!! Kopaka: Hey, that's my line! Lewa: Shushquiet! Now that our towerhotel is donefinished, let's walkgo inside! Follow me! Gali: Wait! *Everyone stops, crashing into Lewa* Lewa: What now? Gali: What should we call it? We can't have a hotel without a name! Kopaka: But it does have a name! It's "..." Gali: That isn't a name. That's just silence. Kopaka: ... is my favorite word! Gali: WE KNOW. We need a real name. Onua: A name? I know, how about "Bob?" Lewa: That's stupiddumb. Not that kind of name! Tahu: I have an idea! How about "The Nuva Inn?" Lewa: Excellentgood name, Tahu! Tahu: Does this mean I can be the leader again? Lewa: Sorry, no. Tahu: Gali: Tahu, where did you come up with that name? Great idea! Tahu: I read the title of the comedy. *points to topic title hovering in the sky* Gali: But why is that the title of the comedy? Tahu: Because it's the name of the hotel, obviously! Gali: But then why is it the name of the hotel? Tahu: Because it's in the title! Gali: But then--how--what-- *groans* Lewa: Enough talkchat, let's set up a postsign! Takanuva? Takanuva: Sure thing! *a giant glowing neon sign appears reading "THE NUVA INN"* Lewa: That was everquick. Let's go inside! *Suddenly, they hear a loud rumble from behind them* Tahu: What's that? I'm scared! MOMMY!! *runs to Gali* Gali: Get off! I'm not your mom! BIONICLE characters don't even have mothers! *The Toa turn around to see a horde of monkeys running toward them* Lewa: Uh-oh! They must be evermad because they lost their workjobs! *The monkeys leave everyone alone but Takanuva* Takanuva: Hey! Get off! I was only trying to--OWWWW! All Toa Nuva: Kopaka: cool dude. Serves him right. Lewa: Why did you just callname him "cool?" Kopaka: I didn't. BZP's word filter won't let me say the word I wanted to say, even though it appears lots of times in the actual BIONICLE novels and story serials. Gali: Who cares, let's party! *Disco ball and party lights and music appear and she starts dancing* THE end Onua: Hey Narrator! How come just "the" is capitalized and not "end?" Narrator: Never question the narrator! Onua: Why not? *A banana flies in from out of nowhere and smacks him in the mask* Onua: Hey! Narrator: Ha ha ha! *All the monkeys from earlier in the chapter start hitting Onua with bananas* Bob the Word Counting Matoran: This chapter has 1,473 words. Lewa0111 Nuva
  3. Hello everyone! It is I, Lewa0111 Nuva, back to the forums once again! As you are probably aware if you've read my blog or the first chapter of TNI, I've decided to rewrite the early chapters of most of my first comedies, since the old chapters were terribly low-quality and embarrassing, especially by my current standards. After the first few chapters, the remainder of the chapters of this comedy will be reposted mostly verbatim from the original so I can get right away to work writing new chapters! Unfortunately, as a result of the hackings/archive purge, the original classic is no longer available online. I am working on ways to restore it, but for now I suppose we'll have to make do with our memories. 'Tis a sad day. Also, even though these chapters are remakes of the original chapters, I will be accepting new questions for Matau! I will still be using the original questions sent in for the chapters I'm rewriting, but in addition to that I will also add new questions to the chapters if I receive them. Any "storyline" segments of the comedy will remain the same, though, and the characters and their amusing quirks will likewise stay the same. So, let's begin! Ask Matau! A BIONICLE comedy by Me! Chapter 1: Embarrassing Moments *Matau is seated behind an empty desk in the living room of his house, which has several large posters of himself on the walls* Matau: HELLO, BZ-NUI! ...I always wanted to loud-shout that. Welcome to Ask Matau! That's the show where you send me questions and I answer them in hilarious ways! So, first things first, let's begin. Computer, how many messages for--hey, wait a second! Where's my computer? Orkahm: It still hasn't been delivered yet, Matau! Matau: Where'd you come from? You're not even in this comedy! Orkahm: I thought this was Ask Orkahm, no? Matau: ...No, it isn't. Orkahm: Oh, sorry. *leaves* Matau: Why did he just throw leaves at me? Oh well. *brushes off the leaves* Anyway, if I don't have a computer, I suppose there's nothing left to do but wait for the Metru Nui Postal Service Matoran to show up! *A Vohtarak walks in* Vohtarak: Hey Matau! Did the computer come in yet? I want to play MNOG! Matau: No, we're still waiting. And I already told you, you'll have to wait until my show is over, because I need the computer to answer questions with! Vohtarak: Okay, fine. Just don't forget to tell me when it comes in! *walks into kitchen* Matau: Oh, that's right. I forgot to mention that I adopted one of each Visorak after Vakama set them free. Pretty stupid of him, really, he could have had his own private army and taken over the world! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA-- Okay, that was bizarre. *Doorbell rings* Matau: *opens door* Here it is! Finally! Metru Nui Postal Service Matoran (MNPSM): One package, straight from Onu-Metru Electronics, for a Mr. Metru. Matau: My last name isn't "Metru!" But yes, that's me. MNPSM: Here you go. *drops package on Matau, who gets crushed flat by the weight and leaves* Matau: Ouch...I ordered a computer, not leaves! MNPSM: Oh, but Onu-Metru Electronics is doing a promotion. Buy one computer at W599 or higher and get a free pile of leaves! Matau: Fine, I'll douse them in cheese and feed them to Roporak I guess. Thanks, random Matoran! MNPSM: You're welcome! Bye! Matau: *pushes box off of himself* That was odd. But at least I've got my computer now! Let's open it up! *Later...* Matau: Ah, I finally got my computer set up! Time to start it up and...hey, wait a minute, it's white? What do they think this is, Ask Nuju The Nerd? Time to make some adjustments! *Matau pulls out a bottle of Metru green spray paint and uses it to spray the computer...and the walls...and the ceiling...and himself...and the whole house* Matau: Uh...maybe I got carried away? Who cares, let's just start this computer! Computer: You have 3 new messages. Matau: YOU CAN TALK!? AAAH! TALKING COMPUTER! Computer: No, I can't talk. I was just telling you how many messages there are. Matau: Oh, okay. ...Hey, wait a minute, you just talked! Just now! Computer: No I didn't! Matau: Oh, just shut up. Anyway, on to the e-mails. Computer, first question. Matau: Do I really have to answer this? Keelerak: Well, it is a show called "Ask Matau..." Matau: You Visorak are so annoying. Keelerak: Well, it's true! Matau: Doesn't make it any less annoying. Anyway, to answer your question, yes, I have gone out with Nokama. There was this one time, for example, when we went to a restaurant...actually, let's just start a flashback! [FLASHBACK] *Nokama and Matau are at a table at the "Coliseum Cafe," a really fancy restaurant, and Matau is wearing a tie* Random Matoran #35: *dressed as a waiter* What would you like to eat, sir and madam? Matau: Nokama, ladies first! Nokama: Why, thank you, Matau! Let's see, I think I'll have...hmm...well, this grilled Kane-Ra dinner looks good...actually, no, maybe the Vuata Maca salad...never mind, I think maybe...*Five hours later* Nokama: ...no, no, scratch that, I might want the Kikanalo Taco...wait, never mind, I think I prefer the... Matau: Nokama: ...no, no, wait, I've got it. I'll have the fish platter. Matau: *muttering* That took long enough... RM#35: Okay. And you, sir? Matau: I'll have the fried Muaka drumstick dinner. RM#35: Very well, let me just write down your order... *accidentally grabs Matau's tie instead of his pencil* Matau: *choking noises* Can't...breathe! Help! Nokama: > Matau, would you stop clowning around? RM#35: One...fried...Muaka...drumstick...dinner...and... Matau: Nokama...help...tie! Nokama: This isn't funny, Matau! Matau: Not...a...joke... *Kongu, seated at the table behind them, stands up and snaps a picture of Matau* Kongu: Matau: Help...me...Kongu RM#35: ...one...fish...platter... Nokama: Is something wrong, Matau? *Random Matoran #35 lets go of the tie, which smacks into Matau, slingshotting him out the window and sending him flying all the way across Metru Nui, smashing into the Prison of the Dark Hunters and smashing into Nidhiki and Krekka, and all three of them fly all the way around the world and land back in the Coliseum Cafe, landing on top of Nokama* Nokama: MATAU!! I SAID STOP CLOWNING AROUND!! Nidhiki: Oog... Krekka: Uh...what's that word I'm supposed to say when it hurts again? Oh yeah: "Ow!" Kongu: [/FLASHBACK] All Visorak: Matau: IT WASN'T FUNNY! And by the way, Kongu was in for a lot of pain that evening... Okay, enough embarrassing flashbacks, next question! Computer: Displaying Question 2. Matau: What are you talking about? I never bumped into things, ever! Computer, next ques-- Keelerak: Hold it! Here, Matau, let's watch the movie. *Keelerak pulls out a DVD of LoMN and puts it in the DVD player, skipping to a scene* Matau: That doesn't count, Nokama wasn't around! Keelerak: She was in the stands! Matau: Okay, fine. So I crashed ONCE. Big deal. Keelerak: Well? Matau: ...Okay, fine, so I crashed into something twice when Nokama was around. That doesn't mean anything! Keelerak: We'll see... *skips to another scene* Matau: Okay, I admit it! I crashed into things a lot! Happy? Oohnorak: No, you still didn't answer the question! Matau: Fine. Well, I crashed into things because I was distracted by Nokama's charm! Anybody would be distracted if she was around! Keelerak: Vakama wasn't. Matau: He was too busy blaming himself for everything, that's why. Computer, next question! Matau: Well, my most embarrassing moment? Let's see, that would have to be... *reads the rest of the question* Hey, wait a minute. Something seems suspicious. Nice try, Onewa! Computer, respond to this message. Computer: Sending your reply now. *At Onewa's house...* Onewa's Computer: You've got mail! Onewa: Awesome! I bet it's Matau's most embarrassing moment. Let's read. Onewa: Awesome, let's open that file and... Computer: You've got Literal Air Mail! Onewa: What the--AAH! *A tornado erupts from his computer and blasts him into the wall* END Bob the Word Counting Matoran: This chapter has 1,381 words. Lewa0111 Nuva

It uses a total of 6 pieces that haven't been used in Constraction sets since CCBS came out in 2011, one of which is the squid ammunition. It's not very extravagant but I thought it captures Nocturn's aesthetics nicely. I wanted to incorporate gear functions for the sword arms but those are the bottom arms and not the upper arms so I decided to go for accuracy over functions. Some colors aren't exact and I would've wanted to cover the lower legs more but I didn't have big shells in lime. Also, the eyes are the red bulbs under the HF Brain.

  7. Although this was the final Rahi in the set, it was actually the first I began work on, and it's completion sparked a desire in me to make the other four. Links to my other 2001 Rahi Revamps, plus a bonus, in my signature. Please upvote and scream comment. *Screaming* Front Back Front (Face) Top Bottom Side New and Old Comparison Manas vs. Onua! The Battle Continues! The Monster vs. The Master of Earth! EDIT: Internal Shot But wait...there's more. Next week, you guys will get to see some shots with all five of my Rahi Revamps battling the Toa, plus a bonus that you won't wanna miss.
  8. I made this fellow to battle my Malum remake. This isn't a BBCC entry, but it was inspired by the contest! There are a couple things I wanted to do differently, like give him white hands and chest armor, but I didn't want to break Gelu's Glatorian hands. I also gave him those shoulder snowflakes, but they didn't look so great so I opted for trans shells on the shoulders instead.
  9. From begging I wasn't like few things in LoSS (face on breastplate, empty abdomen), then I saw this this MOC http://imgur.com/a/78pvJ and that inspired me to make my own version. EDIT: New legs, and few other changes Gallery: http://imgur.com/a/f6T8O
  10. Hello, It's been a while, BZPower. Having Bionicle come back has been a wild time in my life. Never really thought it would happen, and I'm extremely happy. Anyway, onto what I have made here. The Toa Mata are now, and always be on of my favorite sets, just because of the impact they had on me. Comparatively, they were much more simple than modern CCBC sets, so I wanted to try and bring a splash of the new elements to the original sets. I chose to redesign Kopaka not only because he's my favorite, but also because I had usable colors at the time. It's not a very complex build by any means, but that's exactly what I wanted in a new Mata design, the simplicity with the poseability. More pictures here: Shield Out Standing Straight Hero Pose Action Time If more limb colors would come out I would start working on all of the Toa, but until then, I'll work on Onua. Edit: Image thumbnailed; please don't embed pictures over 640x640 pixels and 100 kB in BBC. -Wind-
  11. Well, a year and week (curse you, hackers) has passed since the start of my first comedy and the first entry in The Adventures of Tahu series...that, of course, being The Adventures of Tahu. Looking back on it, I realize that there were some continuity errors, the humor was pretty bad and the writing overall needed a refresh...so here we are. Thus, regarding the above, this remake is to be taken as CANON. And if you don't understand yet, think of it this way. The original Star Fox game was released on the SNES in 1993. In 1997, Star Fox 64 was released as a remake of the original game for the N64. That game is considered canon, so much so that most people don't even know there was a SF game in '93... Now that I'm done with my rant, let's start this again... The Anniversary Edition of Tahu: Transport Prologue: The Motives TEN YEARS AGO… The Toa swam, closer and closer to the hole in the ocean floor. The golden mask shined brightly in his grasp, knowing itself that its purpose was about to be fulfilled. The Toa himself swam further and further away from his team and the Barraki warlords, knowing that his purpose would soon be fulfilled…he’d no need to say goodbye… A blue hand punched through his thoughts and into his head, knocking the Toa away. The owner of the blue hand, a blue Toa of Water, gave Toa Mahri Matoro the death stare. Huh? What was that? Matoro pondered. Why is this Toa here…and why is she royally screwing up my destiny? The Toa of Water punched Matoro yet again, knocking the mask out of his hands. The gold mask fell into the hole, into a murky swamp, where it was undiscovered for another ten years. The Toa looked at Matoro again. “Perhaps that mask made it, but you will not.” She looked at her comlink. In the Cord… Axonn smiled as he looked at his mistress Helryx, who gave him the signal. “Well, what are you waiting for, Toa? Destroy this blasted cord!” The Toa Mahri did just that, watching Voya Nui fall straight down, crushing the remains of Mahri Nui. Axonn smiled slightly, then unsheathed his axe and smashed it into Jaller’s back, all with his battle cry. “HERE’S AXXIE!” Back on the Ocean Floor… Helryx cackled. “Five down, one to go. You see, Toa, no one messes with the Orderly Empire…even before it’s even begun.” FIVE YEARS AGO… “But…she told you not to go…are you disobeying the orders of the empress?” “I have to, Tahu. It’s been racing through my mind…they couldn’t have just disappeared without not doing their job.” “Gali, Pohatu and Onua disappeared to play Skyrim when they were supposed to be doing their job.” “I know, but…look, don’t worry about me. You know me well enough…or will I have to find a different—“ Tahu chuckled. “You won’t have to—I’m always here for you, Gali…I…I wish I could go—“ “It’d be too obvious. And I know you want to get out of here.” Gali sighed. “I’m sorry, Tahu, but I can’t bear to lose…wait, why don’t you talk to Helryx about that? Maybe, like, a trip to Zakaz or the Southern Continent—“ “You and I both know that’s not what I want, Gali. No, I want to see the world, or even other worlds than this. We could expand the empire, get more resources, meet new people—and I wouldn’t miss it for the world.” Gali blushed. “Neither would I, Tahu. However…that will have to wait until I get back. Save a ticket for me, will you?” Gali jumped out the window of the apartment, leaving Tahu alone. The two would not meet again for another five years. And in that time, Gali, Tahu’s best friend and “sweetheart” was presumed dead by almost everyone. Note that I said “almost”, not— Narrator, stop spoiling the story! Sorry, boss. Moving on, then… In the Present Day… Ten years had passed since Helryx founded the Orderly Empire. Ten years had passed since Mata Nui had died. Five years had passed since Gali left to search for the Mahri. Five years had passed since Tahu was last happy. He had enough. He wanted answers. Answers to why he couldn’t leave to find Gali. Answers to why Helryx had outlawed Nintendo consoles in the empire. Tahu wanted a way out. A way to find Gali. A way out…of the terror he was slowly realizing the empire to have. To Be Continued… This is an entirely new chapter to the series. Originally, Chapter 1 was the prologue and Chapter 1, but I kinda figured I’d explain the backstory this time: the rise of the Orderly Empire and Gali’s disappearance are two key factors for Tahu visiting Helryx in the first chapter. It’s too bad I only thought of this during Season 2 of TAoT. Also, the titles for each chapter will mostly be changed from the original, though there might be a few that stay the same. And yes, I will be doing reflections on each chapter, basically comparing it to the original.
  12. okay, so I got breeze brain attack yesterday and I will tell you this: I was not exactly happy with it. it seemed to me that the legs were too long and the arms were too short. so I remade it, following the style while also getting a new taste. and also, (sorta) fingers! http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Strack/MOCs/199.jpg yeah, it was late at night when I shot this and my camera went dead, but not before I snagged a pic. more pics will come soon. if you're wondering about the lava on the right lower leg, my story is that she got burned here and has yet to be repaired. what really happened was that I couldn't find an armor piece like the left leg, so I was stuck with that. as I said, more pictures will come soon, especially of them fingers
  13. No frog this time, sorry.I purposely kept a bit closer to the original with this one--my thinking was that Ski would have to be pretty small and light so as to not sink into the snow. Also, he's a robot with amazing reflexes and stuff, so that's why he only needs one ski pole. The original set designers and I have an...understanding.Share and enjoy!
  14. Yeah, it's not incredibly complex. It's essentially a modified version of the torso I use for humanoid creations. The legs and arms are made from scratch as well. I really liked the solid look and feel the original set model had, and I wanted to expand upon that a bit without making it bulky and cumbersome. At first I went with a sleeker design for the arms - a design without the shoulder pads and the connection from the body to the rest of the arm being closer together - but it seemed to be missing something, so I went with this instead. Unfortunately that took away some of the posability, but I think it looks good. I also wanted to go for a kind of limb-swapping thing, with various weapons, spider legs, wheels, etc., but after some time it just seemed a bit too involved for a character that apparantly isn't in the story. Some inspiration for this came from Samus from the Metroid Series, Dyson from the TV series TRON: Uprising ([shameless plug]which is an incredibly well-written, well- designed show and is also incredibly underviewed [/shameless plug]), and Lockdown from Transformers: Animated. Front Left Back Right Launcher Close-up "Alas, poor Hero, I knew him briefly!" Two Hands, No Weapons He Wants YOU! Thanks for look and please post your thoughts.
  15. Back when the Ta-Koro art competition was going on, I drew this guy with a pencil and paper, and if you remember, it didn't look too great... http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/poutwuw/Contestants/vakama.jpg In June, I got a 3Ds and got Colors 3D for it. One of the first things I did was take that picture and color it to look way more satisfactory, albeit still sloppy.I present to you Turaga Vakama redone! Yes, it is a bit sloppy and I plan to redo it again sometime. This was, after all, one of my first non-paper drawings. For those of you who'd like to see the entire drawing process: Site with commenting system removed. -B6Let me know what you think!
  16. When your island is on the precipice of disaster, you must begin The Race Against Time and Evil PrologueOn the ancient island of Delva-Nui, an island only spoken of in legends, Sybre, a Toa of Plantlife, and his team of Toa were facing Erbys, Sybre's evil twin. Sybre's team wasn't powerful enough to fight and Sybre only had one last reserve of power to finish the equally tired Erbys. Energy began to swirl around Sybre's fist."You'll pay for all the lives you stole, the things you destroyed, and the light you've exterminated." Sybre declared, his rage growing, "Your deeds and I are your undoing!"Sybre charged toward his longtime nemesis. With a powerful punch on the center of Erbys's chest. A brilliant flash of light followed, and the two opposites were gone, leaving Sybre's team in shock. That was the last anyone's ever heard of Sybre and Erbys. And to add to the surprising event, they turned into Turaga."It's happened," Konado, the Toa of Air, said, "Our destiny is fulfilled since there are no more major threats.""Then here we shall stay," Vance, Toa of Plasma, suggested, "The Matoran here need leaders. We will form a council to govern Delva-Nui."The others agreed. And so, the group of Turaga formed the High Council and picked a new team of Toa. The island prospered afterwards. That happened 500 years ago. Every Turaga from the first High Council has died and a new High Council was formed by the Toa team picked by the first. The second Council chose a new team of Toa, but they left on an expedition to see if Rhaio-Nui truly existed. That left the island in grave danger, as the Toa weren't heard of since. A whole mess of evil was gonna take its toll on the defenseless island. And a group of brave Matoran is the island's last hope.
  17. I AM BACK.... And I plan on staying for a longer time, too. And this time, I won't let harassment from other members keep me from being on here. Seeing as BZPower has gotten a major revamp since your Uncle Shadows was last here, looks like a lot of the stuff I wrote is gone... at least, so I thought. I know there's still the archive of the old forums. Which might be a pain for me to look through in its entirety, but oh well, such is life.I'm going to bring back a comedy I started on long ago, which actually wasn't meant to be more than a chapter, yet it has 2 in the original version, and I may just make more to it if people like it enough. Here is a comedy based on one of my original characters, the spirit of Death herself Elitha.Chapter 1: The Fellowship of the Fools*far away in some other realm, there lived a once beautiful young woman named Elitha who was forced to craft a mask that would eventually become her prison. Enslaved by the mask of death, Elitha has been driven mad and riddled with anger and confusion. She has yet to master the power of the mask, but she can't be underestimated. Very few have lived to defeat her, but Elitha wishes to change that. This is the story of a woman on a mission, and a list made by the same woman. Elitha's List.**Somewhere on Destral... an abandoned, desolate island fortress...*Elitha: I assume that none of you know why I’ve assembled you here, am I right?Meltdown: And why pray tell should we have to listen to you?Elitha: Because I killed your master and now I’m forced to take his place because that creep Lord of shadows likes to torture me...Thunder, laughs: You let puny man control your life? Ha ha ha! I laugh at you!Elitha: He controls your life too.Thunder: Argh! No!!!Xplode: And how’d a dame like you manage to kill off the hunch back of who cares?Elitha: It’s a long story...Thunder: Stories are for baby cowards!Rotor: So then, “boss,” what do you want us to do?Elitha: It’s simple: We kill the Brotherhood of Makuta and those Toa.Thunder: Brotherhood is babies! Too many little men on this team!Rotor: Who you calling little, tiny?Xplode: If you were from where I was from, you’d be dead!Thunder: You are so small!Corroder, laughing: Kaboom to you, sir don’t feel bad! You did a fine job tossing your little balls around.Thunder: Spy! I see Spy!*Corroder laughing.*Elitha: How did this happen anyway?*flashback...*Von Nebula: You’re kinda cute.Elitha: Why are you talking to me?Von Nebula: You wanna go somewhere with me?Elitha: No. I haven’t even lured you into my gambit and you’re already coming onto me?Von Nebula: I’d go anywhere for you.Elitha: Why don’t you go die?Von Nebula: I can’t do that.Elitha: I’m going to have fun killing you...Von Nebula: What? How?Elitha: The Kanohi Mask of Death, that’s how...Von Nebula: Can’t we just work this out first?Elitha: You know, you’re right... wanna dance, big boy?Von Nebula: Really? Wow! But I haven’t taken any dance classes since--*the sound of a record scratching sounds and Elitha’s “song” starts.*Elitha: Shut up and dance.Von Nebula: Uh... what’s with the scary music?Elitha, singing: Because tonight I'm working over time… Are you ready to cross the line? Because I'll treat you until the break of dawn… you're not alone…Von Nebula: Wait, what is this?Elitha: Who you going to call?*As the music of Night Nurse continues, Elitha kicks Von Nebula’s staff away as she gets closer to him and takes her scissor scythe in hand.*Elitha: Don't wanna be your lover, oh no. But I could your remedy, oh-oh. I don't wanna be your lover, oh no, but I can be your remedy, your cure…*Von Nebula feels himself go numb and his body become stiff. Elitha uses her powers to raise him in the air and slam him against a wall.**So since this part may be somewhat scarier for our younger viewers, it has been conveniently cut out. However, it included how Eltiha took care of Von Nebula. Moving back from there...*Elitha: There’s a reason they call me the black widow, I suppose.Lord of shadows: There’s also a reason why Lewa has those nightmares of you, the “Night-Nurse mask...”Elitha: You’re not welcome here! !!!LOS: You gotta catch me first! *He disappears and leaves Elitha with her new minions.*Elitha: I’ll get you someday, Lord of shadows, and that little singer of yours, too. Great, when did this become the Wizard of Oz?Thunder: Ha ha ha! It is funny to me!Meltdown: I say, why are you all acting more ridiculous than usual? Is it because we are in the presence of a female?Xplode: What’s it to you?Rotor: We don’t have to give this dame any special treatment?*Elitha uses her powers to turn Rotor into a chipmunk.*Elitha: There, now that’s much better, don’t you think? All: Elitha: Anyone else care to question my powers?*They all shake their heads nervously.*Elitha: Good boys. *She changes Rotor back to his ugly self.*Rotor: Hey, the narrator called me ugly!Elitha: Shut up and get over it.Xplode: Hold on, we still don’t know anything about you.Elitha: You wanna know a little something about me? Fine. They don’t call me the black widow for nothing... I lure foolish men into my trap, play on their emotions, and take their life force. It’s nothing personal, it’s just business, you know. I need some sort of energy to keep myself young and healthy. The brotherhood is just one of many targets on my list...*She slams a list on the table of many beings she wishes to take out. Von Nebula’s name is crossed out... at the top are the names of Lord of shadows and Natalie Horler. Below them are the names of The Shadowed One, Remote, and Lewa and other characters she crossed paths with.*Thunder: It is good day to be giant man!Xplode: Why’s there some chick’s name on here?Elitha: Due to her association with Lord of shadows... she must perish, too. I’m going to have you all help me.Rotor: Fine, I’m in then. Is the chick we going after hot?Elitha: Lord of shadows does have some... infatuation with her, so I guess so.Xplode: All right!Thunder: Now is coward-killing time! Move! *humming funeral march.*Meltdown: No need to be so pushy.Corroder: This ought to be fun. Where’s Vapour?Elitha: No one cares about him. Besides, he’s just a rip-off of you and Rotor. So I take it you’re all in then?Rotor: You bet we are.Elitha: Good... I can see it now. I’m going to need a whole lot of aspirin for this job, I can tell.
