Requiem IV Personnel Quarters

well, here yah go:

IC: 655 - Locker Room
655 quickly glanced at 608 as the letter fell to the floor, but the other Toa was too engrossed in his own things to notice. 655 quickly snatched up the letter, and slowly started to open the letter.
What would he find inside? Maybe he would finally get some answers...

Well darn. I was talking about the letter in my locker! -_- I should've definitely written that better...

Dovahkiin, looks like both you and I have some post-editing to do!

OOC: wow just went back to the point 686 opened his locker and reread. saw that my iPhone decide to put 'cool dude' in the post when referring to 747. Pretty sure it originally said 'cool dude' had to edit that.

Just FYI, that's not your iPhone. That's BZP's word filter at work. :P

so yeah you're stuck with using cool dude. :P

Doesn't look like I missed too much. I had to read a page or two though.

I'm glad this game isn't going at a million miles per hour, like other RPGs I've played.

I decided against sending 337 to the Kohli room because its already got four people fighting that robot. Though, we might just end up taking a trip there, unless 819 is confident that they can beat whatever it is they're fighting.

Look, the bladepoint bullets have the point sharpened by a sub-atomic molecular photon-core laser. Its sharp enough. Also, levacius? Classic toa of plasma colors are orange and red. That's the armor. Earth is black. So, instead of having lightning (blue, yellow, and grey) I like the orange red combo for toa armor, with black power suit. So there.

I'm pretty sure that the unnecessary overcomplication of the weapon is what is bringing it down.

I also agree with TLZ on using energy weapons. Sooner or later, someone is going to run out of bullets and TLZ probably won't let them use any other type of bullet because their gun will only work with a specific type. It's probably in your favor to say it fires good ol' bullets if you don't want energy weapons.

If a power suit can't have a HUD, I can edit my profile to reflect that.ID Tag: 03608Gender & Species: Female, Toa of IceAppearance: Short for a Toa: about six feet, seven inches when standing ramrod-straight in her power suit. Gold eyes behind silver Matatu. Power suit is white with a faint gray tint and is average bulkiness.Power Suit: Scientific knowledge, especially the periodic table, chemical compounds, physics, and measurements. Sports a HUD for quick analysis of objects, multiple vision modes (visible light, infrared, ultraviolet, x-ray, etc.) numerous sensory inputs finely tuned to detect heat, light, etc., a syringe, a CPU and containers of chemicals in a built-in backpack, a flashlight, radiation shielding (meant for close-up experiments on radioactive materials), and two cameras (one forward and one rear) that can record video or take pictures.Abilities: Kanohi MatatuPersonality: Confused. Jumbled. 03608's mind is damaged. She suffers from visual and auditory hallucinations and sometimes she switches personalities as effortlessly as if she were shifting conversation topics. She's also a little bipolar: Sometimes she's timorous and thoughtful, shying away from proximity to others, and sometimes she's prone to paroxysms of emotion. Sometimes she'll talk to herself. It's unnerving, most of all to her, but she knows she has to survive somehow, so she does the best she can.

If you're going to cite classic colors for me, getting them right would help. Plasma is orange and white. I'm not looking for you to put "colors of this Toa" I want you to tell me what the actual color is because we're not running on 100% canon.

Also, enjoyable commentary about the map. I just wish I had seen your edit yesterday, but I got the chance when I looked to see what you had fixed about your character. See, I would describe more into detail, and I appreciate criticism. But it was not drawn by an eight-year old, it was drawn by me, in a very short span of time with the intentions of proper measurements and a specifically desired shape. So, since you are fond of being very critical without providing any actual suggestions on improvement, Mr. Flibble has deemed it necessary to steal the Millennium Puzzle and utilize its power to rule this - if you wish to play this RPG, you must correct each and every one of these issues in the character.ready. Have BS01 at the ready.

- Gender and species section is too long. You should be utilizing the proper elemental prefix; i.e "Male Ta-Toa" for a Toa of Fire.

- You need to give what the actual colors were on the profile.

- Your appearance section is too sparse and doesn't describe the body type at all.

- Looking at just the profile without the text you add at the beginning, nothing ever mentions the wrist-guns. Describe them.

- How powerful is the flashlight?

- Glass-like protosteel was too expensive for the SPSRD to both supplying for your power suit.

- There's almost no description of what the gauntlets actually do. Describe it more.

- What exactly does the stealth drive do?

- Your characters natural abilities are elemental and Kanohi powers. What's your mask power? Your mask may look like a Hau, but so does Krakua's. His mask power is telepathy.

- The abilities you have listed would be abilities of the power suit. You don't instinctively know that kind of stuff.

- Your character would have no way of knowing what the Lost are, so that doesn't belong in personality.

- Your personality section is underdeveloped, without any actual character flaws and not really enough space.

- There isn't a "side-notes" section on this character profile, so, that doesn't belong. It's far too short to warrant any additions.

- "Really crazed" is never defined.

- There are multiple spelling errors. Fix them.

- There are multiple grammar errors. Fix them.

Don't worry, everyone else. This was a special occasion where Mr. Flibble is doing the approval process.

Wow, 819 is turning into a tank. First the giant gun, and now the axe? Might as well name him Optimus Prime... ^_^

But seriously, I don't see how he's going to mange to hold all of those, unless he drops one of them of course...

Upon being made aware of a horrible mistake I made with this post, I have edited it. My apologies. I figured 819 was trying to shoot at the something, and that was the only something available.

Stupid word filter. I was gone for so long I forgot about it....

I think I'll come out of my Lego RPG shell and join... for a while.

ID Tag: #99824

Gender and Species: Male (if it's okay) Vo-Toa

Appearance: Only about five feet tall, very short for a Toa. Primary color is gold, with red as a secondary color. Mask, oddly enough, is red. It's a Kanohi Volitak. Power suit has the same colors, simply reversed: red as primary, gold as secondary. The visor simply shows his eyes and the area around his eyes. It glows a translucent gold.

Power suit: Has much mechanical knowledge stored inside it. It has tech manuals for most of the stuff on the ship, implying #990824 was once an engineer aboard the ship. However, due to damage and malfunctions, most equipment doesn't function anything like the manuals say it does, making them pretty useless. However, it also has general technical knowledge stored, so he can improvise weapons if he gets a chance. The power suit has a power probe on it, meant for charging things with the standard port the ship and ship's equipment used. If he concentrates hard enough, he can push some of his own lightning through it, helping with the power the power suit provides. He also has a small energy pistol on his hip, able to be recharged through his suit's power probe, and twin swords on his back, both of which have instruction manuals in his power suit. His HUD has thermal, magnetic, radioactive, and x-ray vision options, but the x-ray can only penetrate a few inches into the metal the ship is made out of. The range increases or decreases, depending on the density of the material.

Abilities: As he is small, he is more agile than most Toa. He also can cobble together electronic equipment quite easily, however, on a ship where nearly nothing works, it is almost impossible. Plus, he strangely has no specialised tools, so he dreams of finding an engineer's toolbox.

Personality: He is determined and can be caring, but is commonly paranoid. He is also distrustful of those taller than him, so unless he works with them for an extended period of time, he won't trust taller beings. If you are shorter than him, his height, or have earned his trust, he'll help you out as much as you need and will be looking out for your best interest, as well as his.

I only plan on accepting any ID Tags of 30000 or lower from now on. The crew is large enough for more - there are already tags exceeding that - but I don't want any more players coming from that set of numbers.

With that many vision abilities, I'm going to have to rule out the option of being able to fire any amount of lightning while in the suit.

In the abilities section, move the part I have bolded onto the Power Suit section; that type of information is not a natural ability, but a learned one taught by the suits information database. The part I have a slash through, cut out entirely. It shouldn't be there.

So work on fixing that stuff.

@ Skarloth and avmatoran;

Do not make OOC only posts in the Gameplay topic. It's expressly stated in the rules. And frankly, if someone has a complaint about having what's said in the Discussion topic, tough luck.

@ avmatoran;

The Personnel Deck is... massive. Very, very massive. The entire ship is miles long. While you may have heard an explosion, you wouldn't be close enough to the Training Deck (which is also multiple, very large levels) to be close to the group. You'd be multiple levels above them.

The goal is that groups don't tend to meet up very often, if they every do. That means more exploration of different areas of the ship.

@ Draconix;

As avmatoran said. Use BS01 to look this stuff up. It's right about 95% of the time.

Actually, could Levacious include 400 in his next post? I don't want to waste space just to have him open his locker when he got right up to it in the last one I made.

I apologize, I did not see that post. I don't think I'll be able to get anything up for some time today, either. It'll be much later in the day when my next post is made today.

271 was stunned for a moment.

"Wait, you... can think like that?" she gasped.

"Yeah, what did you think I was, kid? Some dumb maintenance droid?" E-333 said.

"I suggest you stop talking like that, unless you want me to..." she thought of a threat. Then, an old memory re-surfaced.

"Ah, yes, I'll dunk you into stasis fluid!" she said.

The robot seemed to shrink.

":Oh, no you wouldn't, unless you want a bullet up your nose!" It shouted back.

"Uh, you don't have guns," 271 pointed out.

"Eh, right, but I'll... hit you!"

271 sighed. Whatever glitch created a personality, she didn't think it would be easy to fix.

"Whatever, threes, let's go," she said.

"Hey don't turn your back on me!" He scurried to keep pace.

271 ignored the threats as she flipped through the notebook. Oddly, all of the parts with other people's names were torn out. Even her own name. In fact, anything of use was ripped aprat. The average page looked like:

"[scratch]today, we[tear]so I decided to[tear]but[rip]would not relent, so I[tear]and the[rip]finally[scratch]."

271slotted it back into E-333, who continued to shout his threats at her.

"Sheesh, just'cause I'm a droid..." he mumbled.

Norik, please get rid of this. I never said that the robot was saying that. >_<

And like I said in the OOC post above that - there was no notebook in that locker, so there wasn't one there. There was no notebook thumb through.

okay so the ship is just drifting through space being broken right now right?

Presumably. It's completely possible that the ship is actually crashed into a planet. Or it could be underwater (I actually remember a movie that went like that though I can't remember the name; it was one of my biggest inspirations for the RPG). Or it could have never actually launched.

It's somewhere in space. But then, everything is in space.

Also, how do we get stuff like the note Norik got?

By trying to advance the main objectives of the RPG -

- Figure out who you are

- Explore the ship

- Figure out what happened to the ship

- Help others complete the above

- etc.

You are provided extra equipment, story info, and so forth. Most of the notes I've given out so far fit a similar role, but also one other - they serve to give information on plot hooks. Reasons to try and find the other areas of the ship to learn more about it.

ID Tag: 8

Gender & Species: Male Toa of Psionics

Appearance: Red and green with white eyes. Wide shoulders and slightly tall as well as being slightly skinny. He wears a mask of psychometry shaped like this.

Power Suit: Red and green with black and white streaks of coloring here and there. Includes equipment that suits engineers and programming as well as a wrist sword that shoots volts of electricity. The volt delivers a decent bolt of electricity that can be mostly used as power for any thing that runs I electricity and act as a decent weapon. The suit's compatibility with the Mask of Psychometry can temporarily be entwined with 8's sense of touch at will so he can still maintain direct contact with an object he wishes to use his mask on. His suit's training includes that of an extremely talented programmer and engineer's understanding.

Abilities: Basic Toa Psionic powers. He also has mental shielding. Wears Mask of Psychometry. Knowledge of Engineering and Programming. Reading the trajectory of long-ranged weapon projectiles to predict attack and safely evade them as well. Due to knowledge of engineering he has an understanding of the mechanical parts of a bio-mechanical being's anatomy.

Personality: At first he seems to be a seemingly goofy character in which case- he is, however, it's almost scary seeing him serious. Although he seems like a complete fool his intentions are heroic and noble in nature. He is energetic with some slight sarcasm here and there. He seems to switch from being optimistic to pessimistic from time to time. Despite have a slightly immature personality he is very well-manner and has a slight bow any time he says 'thank you'. He believes in not killing- anything. It almost drives angry to see some one killed. He is also strategic and problem solver. Tends to be a sometimes smart-alec as well.

Well, hope this works.

i don't even know if i can have another character but nobody will probably care and do agori even have hair???

I'm making this really small because I'm only putting this up if I can deal with two characters at once in the same RP. I also find her voice quite hard to write.

ID Tag: #01925Gender & Species: Female Ta-Agori (???) (is agori even ta?)Appearance: 1925 is an average height, and carries herself with pride. She is not a 'pretty' Agori, but fights fiercely and has built lots of muscle over years of training. Her armour is dark red and she has short, curly black hair and dark skin.Power Suit: Ash grey and charcoal, with a slightly cracked visor that flips back under the helmet if she chooses to push it up against her better judgement. A multipurpose tool that can be used as a knife (for food and craft) and a gun (for shooting) is kept in a storage belt.Abilities: She is extremely strong and has a good memory. However, her bulky armour and suit tend to slow her down.Personality: Generous and of a joking nature, 1925 has an overly flirtatious nature towards women and non-binary genders, but this does not extend towards men. If she is respected by them, then she will treat them as equals, but any doubts towards her will get them ranted at and all peace will be disturbed. She has quite a loud voice, and when she attempts quietness it comes out as more of a stage whisper. Her true respect is hard to earn, and friendship even harder, but she works with other people quite well. She was probably intended as a backup officer of some sort, or a messenger with her good communication skills.

Post character profiles in the Discussion Topic. They will be approved there, and then may be placed in the Profiles Topic. You may have three characters at a time.

Yes, you may have more than one character. I even highly recommend it, since the ship is very large and has a lot to explore.

Make sure to increase the font size when actually posting. That font would get very annoying very, very fast.

Going mostly by canon - the proper term would be Female Fire Tribe Agori. As far as I'm concerned, hair would be present, but not very much; the biomechanical implants that most of the species seems to have, along with other modifications by the Great Beings, would have stunted something that is otherwise unnecessary for the species. Like this guy.

You'll need to give a tad more description to what information she is given by her power suit. Does she have any training of any kind? Someone who's absolutely useless isn't going to be on this ship.

Includes equipment that suits engineers and as well as a wrist sword that shoots volts of electricity.

Abilities: Basic Toa Psionic powers. He also has mental shielding. Wears Mask of Psychometry.

Personality: At first he seems to be a seemingly goofy character in which case- he is, however, it's almost scary seeing him serious.

Could you describe the knowledge/training provided by the power suit? Also, how strong are these volts of electricity?

Since the Mask of Psychometry requires a character to make direct physical contact with an object, be aware that unless you put some type of modification on the suit, it will be impossible to make use of its power.

I don't even know if I want to play as her, so I shrank the text size to be really quick when scrolling through the thing. I will change it later, when I actually understand if I can take on another character.
