They
I was in a teahouse this afternoon enjoying a wonderful cup of purple oolong while doodling. Little did I know Draeverian Joskiir would leap out from the page I had in front of me. Comments and critique are appreciated as always!(Click for larger picture on DA.) 25K Now!
There's quite a bit of detail put into this. Might not have much of the mechanical feel, but it's pretty smooth. Still don't know if that thing where the mouth should be is a mouth or not. Quote http://vimeo.com/198967785 BZPRPG Profiles
Taka Nuvia
You're getting better and better =3 (yes I've been lurking ^^") The style still reminds me a bit of VF's works, with the certain organic feel and stuff, but IMO it's slowly evolving into one more your own, and that's great. The lineart ist clean and neatly done, and the different shades on the armour work well, so that this piece is in no need of further shading. I like that. Only the hand is a bit small. Even with foreshortening, it should be a bit wider, and the fingers ought to stretch down a bit further (then again, hands are evil. ><) Overall this is a cool piece of art, though - keep it up! =D Quote My art collection topic - updated! They
Thanks Taka Nuvia. Although it's nice to hear you're lurking, I love comments like the one you just made too. Aye, the hand is most definitely like a withered, shrunken, demonic creature from the pits of less-artisitically experienced. I may erase for the fiftieth time and try again someday when I have more practice at our friendliest of appendages. I appreciate you calling out the inspirations to style! Yes, I'm working on slowly finding my own feel in the Bionicle world. I want to give them a few more gears and what-nots, but until I can draw those decently on their own I think I'll leave them off.
