Master Inika
For the uninitiated, LEGO ran a short line right before BIONICLE that used many of the same parts and building techniques. It was known as Throwbots in the US and Slizer in Europe. The characters also had different names in different parts of the world; the Slizers had names like Fire, Ice, and Water, while the same Throwbots sets were called Torch, Ski, and Scuba. According to Brickipedia, fans tend to use the European name Slizer while using the more descriptive American names for the individual sets, and I've seen the unofficial title style of "Torch the Fire Slizer" used. Brickipedia also says the fans divided the eight original Slizers into two unofficial groups: the "good" ones (Torch/Fire, Ski/Ice, Scuba/Water, and Turbo/City) and the "bad" ones (Jet/Judge, Amazon/Jungle, Granite/Rock, and Electro/Energy). My headcanon is this: the good ones were called Throwbots, and the bad ones were called Slizers, making the full titles these: Torch the Fire ThrowbotSki the Ice ThrowbotScuba the Water ThrowbotTurbo the City Throwbot Jet the Judge SlizerAmazon the Jungle SlizerGranite the Rock SlizerElectro the Energy Slizer It's not a complicated theory, but I think it's a good way to include both names and also categorize the characters. ~garnira returns~
Well, we'll never know for sure, but I do like how you organized this. What about the mutants and all that from the second year? Edited July 1, 2014 by ~garnira returns~ Quote "Copy and paste me into your sig! The shadows command you!" Master Inika
Well, the unofficial theory is that Flare, Spark, and Blaster were all mutants from the destroyed "bad" tribes, so they'd be considered Slizers. Millennium is on the good Throwbots side, all according to Brickipedia. Quote "You are an absolute in these uncertain times. Your past is forgotten, and your future is an empty book. Zidonaro
I liked it. My brother had some of those, tho we didn't really had a good and bad side, they were just fighting between them Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that we had a Slizers/Thrwbots Subforum in the past...
