fishers64 Posted September 3, 2014 Share Posted September 3, 2014 I think that these episodes suffer a bit from pacing issues and writers trying to throw comedy in. They dragged a lot before introducing the fire, which I think was bad. And none of the main characters get frozen seriously, and they do everything. Plunging the characters into hazards that should be perilous/deadly and them not really getting hurt is way too much of a habit with this series, to the point that you know what the end is 10 minutes into the episode. It's awfully predictable. I also thought the whole "Trial by Fire" thing was lame, partly as a result of this. On the positive side, nice to see Laval's father back, and the beavers are always fun.
