Hello BZPower! I'm on holiday and bored so I decided to make a poll that I hope will make clear the most popular Bionicle set.

How it works: I am going to be going year by year making a poll on which there is an option for every set of that year and when I close them (probably in 1st January 2015) I will make a new poll consisting of the winners of each one which people vote on. PLEASE DO NOT VOTE TWICE ON A SINGLE POLL! Thank you :D!

I will not be counting: anything that isn't Lego, the Turaga Kabaya, any combiners that were not released by themselves (e.g. I will count Kardas but not the Toa Kaita), super rare things like the Piraka Kaita or Sand Tarakava and things like mask packs or Krana.

I will be counting: any standard sets in canisters or boxes, promotional (good/bad guy sets, click, ect), special editions (including combiners like Irnakk) and play-sets.

Keep in mind that these sets are in the forms they are in in that year.

Bionicle 2015: this will be only Gen 1 unless I decide otherwise.

Feel free to point out anything I've missed or argue with what I will and will not be counting (and anything I've missed in those!)

Makuta Teridax: Finally I have taken over the universe with no other Makuta left alive to challenge my rule, apart from Mistrex but he is a pretty painting.

Chirox: You're forgetting someone.

Teridax: How did you survive?!?!?!??!

Chirox: I teleported away from the energy storm then flew out of Karda Nui.

Teridax: Wow, I totally overlooked that.

Chirox: Yeah, this was a crazy plan you made that would cause anyone else's brain to explode and you over look that?

Teridax: You didn't see anything! Universe powers activate!

Chirox: NOOOO!!!!!!

Oh boy. My favorite year, or very close to it...I was like - Chirox! No Vamprah! Wait obviously Toa Ignika! Oh but the vehicles...and Takanuva...I'm going to need some time to think before voting on this one.

Why not Icarax?

The thing I didn't like about Icarax was his weapons, they just seemed big for the sake of being big. He is still one of my favorites though, since I have amazing memories of buying him in TRU for my birthday. :D

Takanuva was an awesome titan and I really liked how he had a dark side. Onua was my favorite of the Toa. I liked his two-handed cannon and shoulder sheild. Vamprah was my favorite Makuta, so dark and creepy as well as being a cool set. The vehicles were also great, I still have Axalara T9 and the powered up Jetrax T6 built and boy do they take up a lot of room.

2008 had some incredible vehicle sets, alright canister sets and pretty abysmal promo sets but lets be honest - only one set from that year shone brighter than the rest (no pun intended). And by now you've probably figured out that my vote goes to TAKANUVA!

Honestly, an awesome Titan set all around. Not only does he actually LOOK like Takanuva (albeit darker and edgier) but that design is SO SOLID! I only picked up the set this year and wow is it nice. Very bulky and holds together well, and I always love Titan leg designs and Takanuva does not disappoint in that respect.

There were many nice sets. The Jetrax T6 and Toa Ignika stand out, but the Axalara T9 got my vote. However, Mazeka and his swamp strider were actually rather fun, and I was tempted to choose to keep it from being overlooked. But I just couldn't go against the Axalara.

Takanuva.  Best set history of any character I think, between this, '03 and his more than satisfactory Stars send-off.  Fantastic example of how to do a Titan right.  Just about everything worked well, and that dark Avohkii was a nice little blend of Toa and Makuta.

I voted Pohatu Nuva. I liked his propellors.  The airships look neat, too, especially the Axalara, but I only ever owned the Rockoh.  And somehow, I managed to overlook Takanuva, who was another 2008 standout.

L     This link is a bit old, but there's still some good info about combiners there.
