Hapori Tohu
The deadline for the current LEGO Ideas review is approaching on the 6th, but yet another project has joined the ranks. The Flying Dutchman by Sebeus recreates the ship from the Pirates of the Caribbean movie with stunning details, and has gotten it's 10,000 supporters. It now joins a slew of other projects in the review, including the Avengers Helicarrier, Labyrinth Marble Maze, F7A Hornet, The Goonies, The Natural History Museum, Minas Tirith, Jurassic Park, and the Piano. Can't wait to see what the LEGO Ideas crew decides to do with this bunch! View the full article Quote News Forums Q&A
Jobber
That looks really sick! But it looks more like a display piece than an actual set. Coupled with the fact that it might cost around 300$ easy, it's a definite 'no' for me.
Toa Smoke Monster
The Flying Dutchman is probably my favorite ship from the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, and I'm glad it gets represented very well with this project. I wish the creator good luck in the review stage! Quote Everyone is one choice away from being the bad guy in another person's story.
Ballom Nom Nom
It looks like it's much too large to be successfully transformed into a set, I think. But still, the concept is very cool, and the level of detail is impressive. ~B~ Edited January 3, 2015 by Ballom
Dalek CAAN
I agree with Ballom, it's too large for a set but that detail... it's amazing. Also, you mentioned The Avengers' Helicarrier might that be?
