LEGO Artists Featured in The Wall Street Journal

Recommended Posts

Another LEGO-related article has surfaced in the news world, this one in the Wall Street Journal last Thursday. The article delves into the world of LEGO Certified Professionals and the relationship that Adult Fans of LEGO have with The LEGO Group. There is always a sound of surprise by journalists in LEGO articles, but this report gives a nice behind-the-scenes look at several LCPs and just what their role is in the LEGO community, making for a fresh read.

A very interesting read and a good indicator of why one shouldn't write off a passion just due to its medium.

People are weird. This article shows a unique problem Lego is facing. Should they cater to their adult fanbase, and how much?It also brings up an new way of classifying Lego fans: ABC. We have the AFOLS: Adult Fans of Lego, the BFOLS: Bionicle Fans of Lego, and the CFOLS: Child Fans of Lego. That might be narrow-minded, but I dislike the idea of TFOLS, so placing Bionicle in there fits the bill.
