Ekimu and Makuta. The Mask Makers

This is my take on Ekimu and Makuta. Both share nearly the exact same build. Rather than using Ekimu's build from 2015. I went with a similar but more animation accurate design and built a custom gearbox for them. Ekimu has green eyes and Makuta has red eyes. This is cause there are no purple eyes yet and both sets of eyes contrast against there trans colors. I've made Makuta's gear function swing his left arm as in the legend video. Makuta was shown holding his hammer in his left hand. Makuta also has the same shield as Ekimu as I couldn't think of anything else to give to his other hand.

I really like these!

Fantastic job, the Makuta's coloring is really awesome in my personal opinion, I like him the better of the two personally

But Ekimu is great in his own right, looks seemingly like the original but built up with your own features, which greatly improves the design!

I believe I have never seen the Makuta's back hammer piece, the one above the black spike. Where is it from?

these are really cool - a consistent design between both of them, not to mention the added details

Not a bad take on G2's rival sibling crafters. I like your rendition of Ekimu's hammer, and the custom gearboxes (did you do those, instead of the normal ones, so they could be black?). I would like to see more translucent bones, but that might be a matter of personal taste. The consistency between the two is nice, though I think if you pointed the Chima armor on Ekimu's shoulders up instead of down, they might flow with his mask a little better without detracting too much from their similarity.

 

Also, I can't help but feel that the way you've posed their legs, the upper legs angled out but the knees bent oddly so the shins go straight down, looks a little unnatural - it might look better if you kept them straighter somewhat.

 

Overall, decent job. Keep MOCing!

Second. I didn't use translucent bones cause from The Legend video there limbs were black in color.

Ah, I see, your goal was making fully animation-accurate versions. Fair enough, you did quite a good job on that.
