A Splendorous, Most Spectacular Gala!

You find yourself walking down a beautiful forested path. You think about the events that have led you to this moment. Man how G&T has changed. It was once a beautiful place where people played games and had fun. Until the mafia came. Then there were fights hosted between gladiators as they brawled against each other in the bionifight arenas. You're pretty sure that there is even a universe where a bunch of fools kill each other for centuries over a mask that keeps healing them over and over... You're pretty sure they're crazy. You then think about the body count in G&T. How many have fallen and died. You're even pretty sure that there was a bionifight arena made specifically of corpses... that dragged living people down to become another corpse in the pile. Would that make the corpse pile sentient? If so, that would be weird... How can a pile of dead bodies have life? How did it gain life? How does life?

 

HEY! Speaking of bodies, you remember that you're going to your deceased Uncle Body's mansion to celebrate his annual Gala! He always throws the best parties... or he threw the best parties. You know. Cause he's dead now. Yeah...

 

Poor Uncle Body. He always loved parties. It's too bad he died on his party train during that Beautiful Train Ride he wanted to go on. Who would kill such an awesome guy? Forget it. Your uncle would want you to enjoy his party in his memory and that's what you intend to do. PARTY!!!

 

You arrive at the Gala along with all your other cousins who have come to attend. You really don't know any of these other people and technically you don't care. In fact you're glad that everyone is wearing a mask over their faces so you can not see their ugly faces. Woah boy that was rude. Why was that? Oh well. There's a party, and no one will care if you're rude. You have a mask on, no one can pin you to a specific person so you're covered (wink!)

 

Suddenly you see someone without their mask step up to the podium on a stage in the main hall. He calls for silence and wants to address everyone. "My fellow cousins, it has been a while since our poor Uncle Body has died. This party is a party in his honor and is important in maintaining his memory. He was a kind soul who loved parties and wanted everyone to party. So today, we party in his honor!"

 

"YAAAY!"

 

"And lets not mention the fact that I have inherited his will and noone else!"

 

"YAAAY!"

 

"YA...what?" You pause. Did he just say what you thought he said? Is he seriously going to just kick us out of our dear uncle's wi...Oh hey a party!

 

You then proceed to dance the night away. Your memory has become a blur because you are pretty sure you partied like a rahi all night. You awake to find everyone awaking from a long night of partying and going crazy. What an awesome night. Uncle Body always has the best parties. Oh hey what is all this red stuff on you? You don't remember drinking wine at the party. In fact, you don't remember partaking of any kind of liquid refreshment. So what is... oh... that's blood. What is that? Is... is that a knife? What in the...

 

You are now another cousin. You have just watched the other cousin just die in front of you. Someone has killed him, because you just going to safely bet that noone guts themselves for fun at a party. Who could've killed him!? Everyone is here. All present and accounted for. Even the cousin who made the speech is here because he's also lying on the flo...

 

Someone is apparently out to get you. The reality of this has just hit you like a ton of bricks. Someone wants the inheritance really badly and is going to off you guys until he's the last left. Just like the thunderous storm that is now apparently raging outside, it's time to get cracking. Who will survive this now Gory Gala!

 

Rules

• All BZPower rules apply... but I am hearing bribery is an option
• Do not share roles with anyone unless instructed or I have shared them. This will ruin the game and make you a party pooper.
• If someone has shared a role, all other members are allowed to call the party pooper a party pooper until the end of time.

 

Game Rules

• All the innocents are trying to survive until the killer is either caught or killed. Until then, survive.
• The killer is trying to kill everyone to get all the inheritance for themselves. Any method is fair game.
• Every special role has a special objective for themselves to complete. Along with the main objective, this special objective needs to be completed to win the game, or they lose even if the innocent win.

 

Roles

The Innocent: You just wanted to party. Why did this have to happen. All you have to do is survive... yeah...

 

The Killer: You just want the inheritance. However, your cursed extended family is preventing that... so lets kill em all.

 

Private Eye: You are a washed up detective who tried to strike out on their own. Didn't pan out, because next thing you know is that your washing greasy dishes for Beanie who owns the greasy spoon next door. However, a case like this can put you in the big leagues and maybe you'll finally get that apartment you've always wanted on easy street. You're skills at studying people could possibly let you find out their real personality... only if you could arrest the guilty party.

 

The Spy: HonHonHon! Who wants to stir up some confusion and chaos? You do! You have a super secret special ability that could possibly change the course of this game!

 

The Married Couple: You just got married and wanted to show your spouse the party, but now you could end up having death force you guys to part! This is horrible! At least you know who each other are and what happens to each other.

 

The Cadet: You're a new cop, but yet, that's exactly what is stopping you from making arrests. You have no idea who is who! If only you could somehow find out how to see behind those masks...

 

The Old War Vet: You are an older cousin who has seen the worse and survived. Lucky you decided to bring that gun with you. Now you could possibly put it to good use.

 

The Plague Doctor: You know it's a dying profession (get it?) but who knows? Maybe it'll happen again? You're limited use of medical supplies could probably help save a life today, and plague doctors everywhere would get a good rep from this. Or you could use someone as a test subject for your curious studies of the plague...

 

The Good Looker: You've got the looks that could turn heads and make them probably forget what they were doing since they are so caught up in your stunning looks.

 

The Suave: You can get anyone to do anything with your charming skills. You're a real smooth talker who could get anyone to possibly join you on probably pointing fingers at suspects.

 

Special Events:

There are special events that can possibly help or hinder either the killer or the innocents. It can range from having to send some people out to fix the generator to restore the lights if they go out or having people search other rooms for clues of the killer plotting possible murders.

 

Example: The lights go out in the mansion. The lights will stay out until everyone decides who should go to restore the power. Those people, if the killer isn't voted to go with them, can be exempt from being killed, but can't use their abilities. The killer, however, can kill an extra person since the lights are out each round until they are restored. It'll differ during each event and each event will be explained more clearly.

Well... I wanted to start it now but I still don't have everyone's names in yet.

Now I know that life is kinda hectic and BZP has apparently seen a drop in membership so things are probably hectic here and out there. I mean, I came back and apparently some people have been banned that I once knew and apparently more people have just left... so yeah.

 

Anyway thanks again for coming to play my game and I am thankful for you all for doing so. I really want to get it started so we can enjoy the party. First I need to just start pestering those three for names.

 

Also I feel bad for going awhile not posting anything more informative about the game so here we go for a preview of what is to come.

 

The mansion is a huge place. 12 rooms to be exact. During each round, Players will pm me which room they wish to go into (simply by saying a room number). Then special roles can make their special actions if they can in their rooms (EX: an innocent and the detective are both in a room and the detective can check what the other players role is). Sometime other actions cannot be executed if there are more in a room (EX: The killer and two others are in a room. The killer can't kill the other person without letting the third person know they did it). Multiple actions can take place during a round and things may escalate very quickly, but such is the way during a stressful situation. If an action happens (such as a gunshot) all players will converge to that room where the gun was shot. Players will be given a quick description of the scene, and can then vote to either execute or tie the shooter down.

HOWEVER, if a person is killed secretly by another player, their bodies will be left in their respective room. They will remain so until someone enters the room again or if the player who killed them just starts to say so. I will pm those who find the body in the room. They then shout it out here. ALSO, when a player dies, their role is not revealed to the public. The only way the roles will be revealed is if the cop arrests a man, or if the detective has discovered their role and they are publicly executed.

 

Now you may be saying "But what about the killer? Don't we win if he dies?" NOPE! (okay yeah maybe) You are all wearing masks. How could you know that he was the killer? How do you know that he isn't the killer? How do you know you're not the killer? You can't trust anyone here.

 

"But, how does the game end then?" The game ends when no one can kill each other, or if there is only ONE survivor. For all we know, it isn't just the killer trying to leave this place here all by themselves. This game will only end through bloodshed my friends. This IS the most splendorous, most spectacular gala that the world has ever seen.

ROUND 1

 

The bodies have been placed outside. We don't need those two stinking up the joint. Anyway, there is now an even bigger threat to the rest of the patrons. Who killed them? Everyone could be a suspect, but who is the real killer? It's not best to stay together since most things won't get done this way. The people decide to split up. There has to be some sort of clue here that may give a hint to the killer. They just have to look hard.

 

However, there is more than one force here at work and they have their own plans to accomplish here. The killer isn't the only one with an evil motive it seems. However, lets not metagame this and pretend that we only have one killer to rid ourselves of here yes?

 

NOW! It is time for everyone to split up. Peruse the mansion and get to doing whatever it is I told you that you can do. Find the killer and bring him to justice!

 

SPECIAL EVENT: Three people need to bury the bodies. Everyone vote for the three they want to send out. These three will lose their actions but will be safe from actions taken by others.
