Greg, if Bionicle returned and if it is a continuation of G1, will there be characters from other franchises like Mangle from Five Nights at Freddy’s becoming Manglenuva, Toa of Time upon putting on the Kanohi Vahi or “Bendy” from Bendy and the Ink Machine as the main villain who was really trying to kidnap Gali and try to take her out on a dinner date only to be interrupted by The Cult of Makuta’s success in resurrecting Teridax infuriating “Bendy”. However, Ink is position to any being made of Antedermis.

 

Tell me, will there be guest characters in Bionicle?

Three things.

 

Number 1: This is the wrong forum for this. Should go under General Discussion or COT.

 

Number 2: Greg is no longer active on BZPower, and wouldn't be able to answer this even if he was. He's not on the Story Team for Bionicle, and wouldn't have any control over this kind of thing.

 

Number 3: Kind of a pointless question, since LEGO would have to purchase the rights to those characters and stories from their respective companies, and the amount they would have to pay is more than a random crossover is worth. However, if you so desire, you can write as many of your own stories about it to share with the fan-community.

To answer the question: None of the above. Optimus Prime or General Grievous would be much better candidates for a crossover.

If there were ANY guest characters in a future iteration of Bionicle, they'd presumably be characters from other Lego-owned themes (Hero Factory, Galidor, etc.). But even then, I don't see why it would be necessary or even preferable in the first place. If a work isn't envisioned as a crossover, there's little point to bringing in guests beyond a mere cameo appearance at best.

I voted Luigi, mostly because he's the only one I'm really familiar with, but now that I think about it there is a lot of potential for character development for Luigi in the context of BIONICLE. Right off the bat he strikes me as an Air-elemental, being green and in some Mario games being able to jump higher, much like Lewa's agility. Plus, both Lewa and Luigi start with L. Perhaps the two of them could bond over being overshadowed by their more well-known red counterparts.
