Happy 10th anniversary, CCBS!

Hi, guys. That building system for Lego action figures, the Character and Creature Building System, or the CCBS for short, was born on the first half of 2011. It was introduced in Hero Factory when it had a set wave called Ordeal of Fire during the time. It revolutionized the action figure category, as it was spread to other themes, DC Comics Super Heroes, Marvel Super Heroes, Legends of Chima, Bionicle 2015-2016, and Star Wars. I thought it was very cool, despite some plain-looking pieces. We got five-fingered hands. Sadly, the system reminds us that Bionicle G2 was gone in 2016 and then the whole category collapsed in 2018 for some reason. Pitiful.

Anyway, happy 10th anniversary, CCBS! :)

I like Lego, Bionicle, and Hero Factory!:)

Definitely enjoyed these pieces more than what we had for the first wave of Hero Factory. ^_^

I would agree. I mean, the joints aren’t brittle, and we got a lot of new pieces. These are two things. :)

I was sorting my G2 stuff yesterday and became super nostalgic for CCBS for probably the first time. I always found the ball and socket friction superb and CCBS-constructed figures really have their own distinctive level of pose-ability. Whether or not it's Bionicle-related, I hope CCBS constraction has a future with Lego! Cool to know/remember that it's the tenth anniversary.

I didn't have any HF sets, and any Bionicle G2 sets, but, i used to have Chima Chi Laval and Chima Chi Panthar. I realy liked them. They broke unfortunately, due to less quality of joints, but perhaps it was my inapropriate use of these joints when i was connecting them while building my MOC's.
