PrologueMickey, the Sorceror's Apprentice, was meddling around again, but this time he got himself into more trouble than enchanting overzealous broomsticks. Once more he ascended up to the stone where he overlooked the sees and the stars, but while feeling particularly adventurous, when the silhouette of The Conductor went on break Mickey curiously stood on his pedestal. He gave a wave of his hands, and suddenly the beautiful music of Bach began to play for him. Inspired by the graceful harmony, he continued to experiment in his magic. The mathematical notes of Toccata and Fugue in D Minor helped him to control his magic, and he cast a spell far greater and more comprehensive than before. It was a terrible thing to do, nor could he have chosen a worse place to do it, for he stood on The Conductor's pedestal, which overlook not just the seas and stars but all the realms of Fantasia!Without warning, the gateways to the many other great works of Disney opened before Mickey, and the worlds of all the animated classics were brought into the Fantasia realm. Mickey saw them begin to interact with each other and felt good about himself until he realized just how much trouble he would be in with his master. Yet, another, larger problem awaited him, for the clashing of all the worlds awakened Chernabog, the great Evil One on top of Bald Mountain. With a single reach of his arm, he grasped out to Mickey and picked him up, destroying the pedestal in the process. Without the pedestal the enchantment that brought all the worlds to Fantasia could not be undone.Even though the magical world of Disney was not in its proper order, there was a bigger problem. The great and evil Chernabog was planning to use the magic of the Sorceror's Hat to increase his power and unleash a spell of darkness that would engulf everything. However, one hope did remain, for a brightly colored butterfly made out of abstract geometrical art came to the mountain and snatched the Sorceror's Hat away from Chernabog. His evil spirits caught the butterfly, but it dropped the hat in one of the realms of Fantasia 2000. Enraged, Chernabog sent a message to all the Disney villains who had dabbled in the black magics of witchcraft and sorcery to join him and create a portal regardless. Soon, should he get all the allies he needs, they will cast an inevitable spell that will convert the whole world to darkness. Not all is lost. The Sorceror's Hat still rests somewhere in the realms of Fantasia 2000. Whoever finds it could change the fate of the universe.Gameplay:You will join this RPG and play as all the main cast from one of Disney's great works, and even some live-action classics with some animation in them, such as Marry Poppins and the classic Tron. If you want, you may work from the characters as they already exist or, for those who want to write with characters that are more of your own creation, you can come up with a twist to these characters. For example, what if Scar was actually Sarabi's puppet? What if Ursala had a crush on King Tritan? What if Bolt was really about the TV show? It's perfectly acceptable. After all, retelling fairytales is an ongoing process.I. About Characters:1. It is important to note that you can only choose characters from one Disney movie. This prevents people from coming up with contradicting continuities. The bright side is, you may have as many characters from your particular movie as you like, so long as it is within reason.

  • [*]Define "within reason": This essentially means that you should still have NPCs within your universe. You can't make all the nameless extras your characters. This is not an RPG where you control entire nations.[*]Winnie the Pooh is exempt from the above point, considering the small cast and absence of background characters.[*]It is possible to choose both a film and its sequel(s).

2. All the main characters should originate from the same places. You can say that John Smith came from a remarkable Steampunk England, which is certainly a different twist, but England nevertheless. It's just not nice to take away that sort of identity, because one of the wonderful things about Disney is that its stories traveled around the world. This rule doesn't apply to stories where the location or character backgrounds hardly have an affect on the narrative. And in case there's any question about the following settings:

  • [*]Some of the older Disney Princesses are a bit ambiguous as to their location, in which case you shouldn't be too concerned.[*]Alice of Wonderland: that she's from England is completely irrelevant.[*]Winnie the Pooh came from the Hundred Acre Woods. Where on Earth that is is up to you.[*]The Rescuers could actually be set any number of places. So long as you describe their world as Earth, you're fine.[*]Dinosaur's open to any interpretation, really.

3. The characters have to be from an animated film. TV shows and video games are not a basis for an application.

  • [*]This means that Minnie, Donald, and Daisey, among other classic personae, are not allowed to be used as playable characters. Sorry.[*]However, Goofy, Max, and Pete are featured in The Goofy Movie, so they're open.[*]
This is a good general list if you want to know your options. Here's also a list of Pixar films.[*]Song of the South, Marry Poppins, Bedknobs and Broomsticks, Pete's Dragon, Enchanted, and Tron are also acceptable, along with any other films that combine live action with animation.

4. Since no doubt many of you will be concerned with how your characters measure up to others, it's perfectly acceptable to do something to even the playing field against films like The Incredibles. Captain Hook might have gained control over the fairies or got himself a pirate army. Maybe Monsieur D'iarque was really an evil counterpart to the Beautiful Enchantress (Beauty and the Beast). Maybe a Steampunk England is good enough to make the cast as a whole awesome enough to compete with the rest of the world. However, you don't have to power up your world if you don't want to.

  • [*]Powering up an entire cast to the hero level is overkill, and so is making your world more dangerous while simultaneously making a main character stand out amongst them. For example, Captain Hook may gain power from harvesting fairies, but he shouldn't also be given an army. Giving that army superpowers is completely out of the question.[*]Speaking of which, if you choose Lilo and Stitch you can't include any of his "cousins".[*]Also, stick to something within reason that makes sense. If it defies willing suspension of disbelief, it's off-limits. Therefore, Nemo can't shoot lasers, although Buzz Lightyear could potentially get such an upgrade (as for Mater, anything makes sense when applied to him).

5. The film version of young Hercules is the archetype for the ultimate reasonably powered character, and he will set the standard for the limit within this RPG. If you can overpower Hercules, you're overpowered.- For that reason, these characters are off-limits as player characters unless you specifically alter their back story to bring them down to the level of of something acceptable:

  • [*]The Fairy God Mother[*]The Cheshire Cat (amended by ToD)[*]King Triton[*]Genie[*]Hades[*]The Bowler Hat[*]Dr. Facilier

- These following characters, however, are completely off-limits regardless of your reasons:

  • [*]Maleficent[*]The Olympic Gods (except Hades)[*]Marry Poppins (She's practically perfect in every way!)

- The various enchanters not mentioned in this list, such as the Blue Fairy in Pinocchio, fairies in Sleeping Beauty, Eglantine Price from Bedknobs and Broomsticks, the witches in The Black Cauldron, Ursala from The Little Mermaid, and the Beautiful Enchantress from Beauty and the Beast are all allowed, but the scope of their magical abilities is generally limited to enchanting objects to physically change, do work, or otherwise alter their properties. I won't see enchanters treated as offensive combat characters, although they may assist others.

  • [*]The Fairy Godmother is considered a God moderator simply because her wand had demonstrated the ability to transform people to stone and turn back time, the first of which is a directly offensive ability and the second of which is outright too powerful unless you specify otherwise.

II. About Worlds1. There are only as many worlds in this RPG as those started by players. A new world is introduced whenever a player joins the RPG. If a player hasn't joined under a given world yet, you may not journey to it. The in-universe explanation to this is that the various Disney worlds are leaking through one at a time in a chaotic order.2. Each world has one portal somewhere that leads to the rest of the Fantasia realms. You may define what they look like and where they are.3. It is possible for two worlds to literally fall within physical proximity of each other. For example, it is possible for the London within The Great Mouse Detective to fall within the proximity of the Pridelands (even though that's counter to real-world geography).

  • [*]Before doing this, there must be a mutual agreement between you and the person who wrote in the other land.[*]Borders must be established either when you first join or soon afterwords when you're still getting yourself established. After that, you can't create new borders with established worlds and must instead wait for new worlds to be introduced.[*]You're allowed to mix them up in interesting ways, but one world may not destroy another.[*]It is possible also for one world to fall in between two and create a bridge between them. For example, London could fall in-between The Pridelands and the forest in the Firebird piece of Fantasia 2000, thus creating a web and an internal ecosystem within the RPG universe.[*]Although not required, you are encouraged to connect your world with another when you join, as well as offering borders to newcomers in the RPG who might want them as well.

4. Wandering throughout Fantasia are bands of bands (pun intended), the silhouettes seen at the beginning of Fantasia. Their instruments have magic powers that allow them to teleport people to other parts of Fantasia and the Disneyverse, provided that they play a piece of music from that world. Their magic transportation is limited, however, to landing people wherever the music was played within that movie, specifically at the beginning of the composition.

  • [*]This disadvantages films with no memorable music, but so be it. There had to be a catch.[*]If you have adapted the story in such a way that the song would not have logically taken place, this transportation method wouldn't work.[*]Only the orchestra has this power. It is not a character ability that anyone can access, merely an alternative to the portals so that movement between realms can't necessarily be monopolized.[*]The bands cannot follow people along, and furthermore, they are NPCs.

5. As with the characters, the location is important. Pinocchio had better take place in Italy, and Brother Bear's universe had better be the Canadian region.

  • [*]If you want to say that Tarzan decided to go with Jane and live in England, that's understandable. It uses the elements of the preexisting storyverse to your advantage. Therefore, you can have London crash into Fantasia instead (or Liverpool, considering that a surprising number of Disney films take place in London). So if you have a good explanation that makes sense, you can bring in a world different than the primary setting of the movie.[*]The amount of the universe that you bring in is limited to the scope of the story. You may well bring in the entirety of the planet Earth if you're joining under The Rescuers, but if you're like one of the many films that takes place exclusively in London, you'll exclusively only bring London into the game.[*]With regards to the above point, consider that this is Disney and don't get all technical about what happens if London is isolated from the rest of the world, although that would obviously starve the city. Within the logic of Fantasia, it would still function as normal.

III. Rules:0. BZPower rocks, and so do its rules. It goes without saying, and therefore I will not say it (although it makes an awesome cameo appearance as Rule #0!).1. Have Fun!2. Don't God-mode. If someone else God-modes against you, the worst thing you can do is God-mode back, so swallow your pride and tell a staff member. And no glory hogging, either.3. Don't use another player's characters without their permission.4. Don't kill another PC without another person's permission. This also applies to named characters within a universe that aren't currently being played (although the other person ought to be fairly lenient). However, you aren't allowed to do this excessively.5. PM me with character profiles first before posting them.42. It's the answer to life, the universe, and everything.43. OOC: Ah, this sounds refreshing.Movie: Alice in Wonderland (1951 and 2010 Disney film adaptions)Story: The story is predominantly taking the role of the 2010 release, though characters such as the Walrus may appear.Conversion Point: The two armies of the White and Red Queens are marching forth to meet each other in battle.Portal: The chessboard battlefield shown at the point where the movie will be joining the RPG. It appeared in the center out of seemingly nowhere, taking roughly nine squares with it. The portal took the shape of the rabbit's hole, albeit a bit larger.Borders: UndecidedCharacter: The Mad Hatter (2010)Strengths & Weaknesses: He's a brilliant sword-fighter, and in not afraid to use tricks in battle. In addition, it seems that he has gained the ability to stuff himself into his hat and fly around like that. No, no one has figured out how or why. He seems to be easily depressed, yet also easily encouraged - though insanity is bound to take control at random moments, no matter his mood.Personality: He's the Mad Hatter, I'll try to play him as accurately as I can. Background: The Mad Hatter has been the White Queen's servant (and hatter) for as long as he can remember. Once the Red Queen took control of Underland, he lived on with his little rebellious friends, get madder and madder as the days went by.Objectives: Being insane. He's completely loyal to the White Queen at the moment, though.Misc: N/ACharacter: The White QueenStrengths & Weaknesses: She's a queen with an army and potion-making skills. She can't really fight in and of herself.Personality: As with the Hatter, I will play her as accurately as I can. Background: She is the older of the two queens of Underland, and is a fair sight more noble than her sister. She is attempting to take the throne fully for herself, as is her right. Objectives: Taking back the throne from the Red Queen.Misc: N/ACharacter: Alice (2010)Strengths & Weaknesses: Alice, though new to it, has shown some skill in sword-fighting. In addition, she wields the Vorpal Sword, which is the only blade said to be capable to killing the Jabberwocky. However, she is still an untrained girl, and doesn't know all the ins and outs of fighting.Personality: Same as the last two. Background: Though Alice is from England, she will not return to it in this story. Unless she goes to another story's England, of course. Either way, she is the prophesied slayer of the Jabberwocky on Fraptuous Day, and this action will place the White Queen back upon her throne. However, things might not work out in the same order for this RPG, due to the interruption of Mickey. Objectives: Slaying the Jabberwocky for the White Queen.Misc: N/ACharacter: JabberwockyStrengths & Weaknesses: He's a massive dragon that can breath fire. 'Nuff said. Can be slain by the Vorpal Sword, though only if it is wielded by Alice. This invincibility will be toned down, though his skin is still exceedingly tough.Personality: Confident, powerful. In essence, the same. Oh, and just because Christopher Lee is awesome, I have to mention that the Jabberwocky has his voice. =3Background: The Jabberwocky is an ancient dragon, invincible and mighty beyond compare. His downfall, however, is prophesied to be by the hands of Alice, and he is fully intending for this not to happen. Objectives: Slaying Alice for the Red Queen, not getting killed by Alice in the process.Misc: N/ACharacter: The Red Queen (2010)Strengths & Weaknesses: She is murderous, and with the Jabberwocky and an army at her command, she can do what she wants. However, she's a wimp and can't fight for herself.Personality: Might change over the course of the RPG, currently the same. Background: The younger of the two queens of Underland, she brutally murdered their parents to gain the throne for herself. She is trying to hold this position, and she is confident that her army will prevail. Objectives: Keep the throne of Underland for herself.Misc: N/ACharacter: Cheshire Cat (2010)Strengths & Weaknesses: The Cheshire Cat is powerful, though not an all-powerful sprite as he might have been portrayed in the books/movies. Here, his abilities are limited to floating around the worlds, turning completely invisible, and becoming fully intangible. Though he can almost reasonably be never caught or hit, he is still a cat at heart, and thus will be severely injured even if dealt a mediocre blow.Personality: Basically, the troll of the universe. Helps and doesn't help when he wants to, takes action however he wishes. Background: The Cheshire Cat... exists. How or why is unknown, and his purposes are unknown. In essence, he is a flying, purring, invincible feline that has no purpose in the universe. Objectives: Trolling around the worlds, doing whatever he wants.Misc: N/A

OOC: Finally! :)Movie: Basil the Great Mouse DetectiveStory: The film is fully canon. The world of the movie exists on a different size scale from most other worlds - what this means is that its characters are to be treated as human-sized compared to characters from other worlds, and if humanoid characters from other worlds come to Victorian London they will find themselves to be mouse-sized.Conversion Point: It has been a year since the events of the film. In that time Basil has been solving criminal cases all over London, accompanied by his faithful biographer Dawson. But unfortunately in the shadows more sinister events have been unfolding. The body of Professor Ratigan was retrieved by his remaining faithful followers, and, using leftover blueprints from Flaversham's clockwork Queen, they have restored him from the brink of death...Portal: A sewer pipe beneath Baker Street.Borders: The borders of Victorian London. Roads and rivers leading out of the city become roads and rivers in other lands, railway lines stop dead (unless there are other Disney worlds with railways, though I can't think of any).Character: Basil of Baker StreetStrengths & Weaknesses: His detective skills, chemical knowledge and methods of disguise are more developed than they were in the film, thanks to an additional year's experience. His primary weakness, if you could call it that, are his foul moods, often triggered by intellectual dead-ends.Personality: Same as the film; intelligent, brave and intuitive, but with antisocial tendencies. Given that his whole life revolves around seeking the logical explanations for everything, he is insistent that the merging of worlds is attributable to a reasonable scientific effect, and not 'magic'.Background: Since defeating Professor Ratigan Basil has made the headlines by solving such cases as A Study in Stilton, The Adventure of the Dancing Mice, The Feline of the Baskervilles, and The Five Orange Pippettes. Objectives: Solve mysteries, help the helplessMisc: Basil can identify specific types of tobacco just by studying its ash. He is also a skilled violin player.Character: Dr. David Q. DawsonStrengths & Weaknesses: He is a crack shot with a pistol and a trained surgeon. Thanks to a year spent solving cases with Basil he is a little more savvy regarding criminal behaviours. But, being overweight, he is rather slow and runs out of breath easily.Personality: Same as the film; gentlemanly, loyal, somewhat clumsy. Background: Two years ago Dawson worked as an army surgeon in Afghanistan, but was forced to retire from active duty when he was shot in the... well, he seems to forget whether it was the leg or the shoulder. Objectives: Help BasilMisc: Acts as Basil's biographer, and even after working with him for a year is still fascinated by the detective's deductions.Character: Professor RatiganStrengths & Weaknesses: Most of the right side of his body has been outfitted/replaced by intricate clockwork mechanisms. Though they do grant him greater strength and endurance than ever before, he can be partly immobilised if the systems are jammed. His right hand is metal, and spring-loaded.Personality: Since the film he has become a bit more deranged. He is still capable of affecting a suave, charming manner, but he finds it harder to suppress his rage. He hates what has become of himself and has vowed revenge upon Basil and Dawson. With Felicia lost, he now enacts punishments upon his followers firsthand. Background: Once a criminal mastermind with webs stretching across all of London, Professor Ratigan fell (quite literally) at the hands of Basil of Baker Street. Now he has few servants left. Objectives: Obtain the Sorcerer's hat, restore his body, gain alliesMisc: He wears his usual long black cloak and waistcoat to hide the clockwork portions of his body.

OOC: I did. =P They were approved.

OOC: Ah right, my mistakeMovie: Bedknobs and BroomsticksStory: The island of Naboombu had remained peaceful through centuries under the fair if bombastic leadership of a succession of lion-kings. But then the dread witch Eglantine arrived and brought chaos in her wake. A set of royal games put on in her honour (for it was thought at first that she was a force for good) sowed the seeds of discord, which bore fruit when she turned the last lion-king, Laertes II, into a rabbit. With the king unfit to rule and no heir to be found the island descended into a civil war of sorts. No battles were held, the islanders lacked the numbers for a true war, instead territory and resources were fought over using football matches which grew increasingly violent and lawless. Deaths are not just common, but expected, and are a good way to rid yourself of a potential rival.Conversion Point: Five years after the events of the filmPortal: On the former Royal Pitch on what used to be the King's Stadium while the island still had a kingBorders: And island surrounded by water. Not sure who would border it unless someone's taken The Little MermaidCharacter: Kottharaka the SlyStrengths & Weaknesses: Though he is an anthropomorphised hyena, he's not as strong as his stocky frame would suggest, as hyenas never really had much use for extreme muscle power anywhere but their jaws. His strength matches a normal human's but not much above that. He's also rather short and, as hyenas use their front legs (which are now Kottharaka's arms) for locomotion, isn't so good at running and tends to waddle when he walks. However he does make up for these deficiencies with a certain talent for magic. Of the five disciplines he has mastered Satis and De giving him power over water (allowing him to manipulate and shape pre-existing bodies of water with his mind) and aether (allowing him to alter the elemental make-up of things, though this requires gestures) respectivelyPersonality: As his epithet suggests he is a cunning fellow, forced to use his wits from an early age. This can make him a tad manipulative, true, along with ambitious. But it also makes him smart enough to recognise his own flaws and limitations. He isn't the sort to plot away behind a partner's back just to get power to himself, but if information that could damage that partnership come to his attention, he would do his best to make sure the partner never heard it. He believes this may be a mild case of inferiority complex, but knows to little about psychology to analyse himself moreBackground: Kottharaka is a sorceror-prince in Clan Crocuta, an obscure branch of House Felis that nearly everyone forgets about. His younger sister is the heir so Kottharaka was fostered off into the court of King Laertes II to keep him at arms length so brother and sister wouldn't try to murder each other for their own ends. However since House Avis and Reptilius merged into House Oviparous and started using their combined football prowess to start winning the war Crocuta ha found need of its forgotten child and called Kottharaka back into service. As no political eyes will be watching him and Crocuta can, frankly, afford to lose him, he is tasked with working behind the scenes to try and bring the advantage back to House Felis. He has begun this by investigating the strange portal that has sprung up in the old gaming ground...Objectives: Cripple House OviparousTip war in favour of House Felis, or even Clan Crocuta specifically.Personal reknownMisc: Edited by Armageddon Out Of Here

(I hate writing personalities, can you tell?)Background: Spent his childhood in an orphanage, taking care of the other orphans, watching them get adopted and go to loving homes. When he turned 18, he left the orphanage and discovered his talent for thievery. He soon made himself infamous, stealing many things considered unstealable. Weaknesses: She has literally no knowledge of the world around her.Personality: Same as movie. Background: She spent her whole life locked in a tower, not much to see here. Objectives: To seal her kingdom back into its own world.Misc: Carries the crown of the lost princess, has a pet chameleon named Pascal.Character: Mother GothelStrengths & Weaknesses: Strengths: She's lived for thousands of years, knows about the world. She's extremely manipulative and skilled at lying; she knows how to get what she wants. Weaknesses: She's thousands of years old, and without Rapunzel and her magical hair, she will age rapidly, and eventually die.Personality: Same as movie. Background: After the portal opened, Mother Gothel almost immediately received a letter from Churnabog, offering her great power in return for service. :kaukau:Movie: Fantasia and Fantasia 2000Story: The first post gives most of the necessary information. However, as each of the individual realms is visited throughout the RPG and gets adapted to become more playable, I'll record what I see. Here's what I know so far.
  • [*]In general, all the worlds will naturaly play their music in the background, unless you really don't want to hear it.[*]The Nutcracker Suite: The world is scaled up, and people visiting will find themselves to be the size of the fairies.[*]The Rite of Spring: This segment is actually three realms, Genesis, Evolution, and Extinction. Genesis is a land of turbulent volcanoes and ocean waters. There are some odd volcanoes, among them Mount Pyre, which breathes fire, Mount Magnus, which is further inland and has a giant molden lake that bubbles but never boils over, and Mount Genesis, which often lets loose giant landslides of magma that provoke the sea. Evolution is a landmass where all the dinosaurs throughout history coexist and are rules by the feroceous Tyrannosaurus Rex. They are more intelligent then regular animals, and some are even as smart as people. Extinction is a realm where the dinosaurs are dying of thirst. Soon there will be a giant earthquake.[*]Symphony No. 5: The black butterflies are on the side of Churnabog and wish to unleash darkness on the world just as much as he does. The landscape is also a litle more realistic, and next to the spring where the butterflies originated is a range of rather impressive mountains, beyond which is te edge of the world. Plenty of glowing crystals can be found inside caves within the mountains.

Conversion Point: Not all the time streams are the same, and not all of the realms even had much of a timeline in the first place. Among the realms that had a definite story with a beginning and an end, most of them are now complete. The exceptions are as follows:

  • [*]The Rite of Spring (Extinction): The dinosaurs are currently starving. The epic earthquake hasn't started yet.[*]Piano Concerto No. 2 in F Major: The steadfast tin soldier was just about to fall out of the drain when the conversion happened, and the portal appeared right before him as it did. Lucky him.[*]Pomp and Circumstance: Noah is stil on the Ark.

Portal: The portals in Fantasia are typically tall black monoliths of the dimensions 1x4x9. Nothing happens when they're touched unless desired. If a person wants to go to another portal, all he or she has to do is touch the monolith and he or she will be taken to whichever portal he or she wishes to visit. If that person wishes to go somewhere but has no place in mind, the monolith randomly drops him or her in either Toccata and Fugue or Symphony No. 5. In some of the realms, the monoliths tend to move around on occassion.

  • [*]Toccata and Fugue: A monolith now stands where the Conductor once stood on his podium.[*]Nutcracker Suite: Around the circle where the mushrooms perform Chinese Dance.[*]The Sorceror's Apprentice: There is a monolith here, but it is a tad it mischevous, as it likes to teleport to other rooms when nobody's looking.[*]Right of Spring: Even though tis is three realms, they are all connected by the same music, and as such share the same portal. Unfortunately, the portal can only visit one at a time. A person could wait for days for it to reappear in Extinction. In Genesis, the monolith stays in the lava lake of Mount Magnus, where a floating stone path leads into the center of the lake and onto a small island that enshrines the monolith. In Evolution, it rests next to the shore where the first fish stepped on land. In Extinction, it's essentially in the middle of nowhere, since there's no reference point for description.[*]The Pastoral Symphony: Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high. The rainbow always appears in the same spot over the river as it did in the film.[*]Dance of the Hours: The portal is the well in the middle of the courtyard that originally spawned the hippo ballerina. It is not a monolith.[*]Night on Bald Mountain: The monolith rests in the graveyard at the foot of the mountain.[*]Symphony No. 5: The monolith now stands in place of the rock where the buterflies originally rested.[*]The Pines of Rome: There is no monolith. The portal is instead the light in the sky, which can unfortunately only be accessed at nighttime and by people who can fly.[*]Rhapsody in Blue: The monolith is in the center of the ice skating rink, where all paths cross.[*]Piano Concerto No. 2 in F Major - I. Allegro: Like the toys, the monolith only works during the night time. Like the Steadfast Tin Soldier, it can also be moved around, so it is in no fixed place. Presently, it is by the shore, right in front of a sewage vent.[*]The Carnival of the Animals: none[*]Pomp and Circumstance: At the stern of the Ark.[*]Firebird Suite: In the crater of the mountain. Don't wory, touching it won't awaken the Firebird...yet.

Borders: There are some secret border's I'm currently formulating, just you wait and see. Here's what we know so far.

  • [*]Dance of the Hours, Piano Concerto No. 2, and The Carnival of the Animals are all in the same world. The yo-yo-ing flamingoes essentially perform a bridge between the Steadfast Tin Soldier and the Ballerina Hippo worlds, and they frequent both. The ocean they traverse isn't that big and is more comparable to the English Channel.[*]The back wall of the orchestral chamber is connected to the abstract world of Toccata and Fugue. The line can get quite blurry between the two when the music starts playing and the chamber will even cease to exist.[*]Leading out from Bald Mountain is a path that leads to the church. Leading from the church is a bridge that leads over a narrow ocean. At the end of the bridge is a path, wich leads through a pasture with interesting rocks, which leads to the spring at the beginning of Symphony No. 5.

CharactersCharacter: Yen SidStrengths & Weaknesses: Yen Sid is a powerful sorcerer who needs no instruments to work his magic. Beyond the beginner's business of changing one thing into another, he knows the deeper secrets of magic so as to undue almost any spell or enchantment. He can find and detect magic like a bloodhound. He specializes in using his magic to create things. It helps that he has a great imagination and an abundance of creativity. He also knows of the dark, more treacherous arts used by his evil counterparts, such as demon-craft and spirit-summoning, and knows the greatest of defenses against them. He may not be the mighty warrior to topple Churnabog, but when around him, people are safe.As for weaknesses, he has a coughing fit from time to time. He's old, and he knows he will someday die of old age if nothing else.Personality: Although Mickey got the opposite impression, Yen Sid always loved cildren. However, he practices tough love and knows well how to give a stern look and ow to make the silent treatment really suck. Background: Yes Sid doesn't disclose his background to the average person, and he has may secrets. However, he is much more open with Mr. Stokowski. It seems he knows a great deal about the strange universe falling down around him, however, suggesting that somewhere along the lines he learned the rules...or wrote them. Indeed, most of the inhabitants of Fantasia are familiar with him and respect him. Objectives: Stop Churnabog, get the universe fixed again, and teach Mickey a lesson.Misc:

  • [*]In-Game History: Yen Sid created a magic map that shows him the all of worlds in the RPG that changes when they change. The first thing he did with this map was to locate Basil, the Great Mouse Detective, for his commitment to solving problems and doing good. Basil did not believe Yen Sid when told of the greater reality of Fantasia, and the sorcerer decided to give the mouse the time to accept the rest of othe Disney world on his own. He then went to the world of Toccata and Fugue to wait for over Disney heroes to arrive. The spirits of Fantasia sent a message to Rafiki to meet him there, and the mad Babu hastened to bring the Lion King to Fantasia. The steadfast tin soldier,Rapunzel, and Flyn Rider fell through portals that led them to Toccata and Fugue. Together, these five simultaneously encountered Yen Sid, forming the first group of Disney protagonists from different stories to befriend each other and accept Yen Sid's calling. After starting the forces of good on their way, Yen Sid disappeared to do business elsewhere, all the while waiting for Basil to accept the calling.

Character: ChernabogStrengths and Weaknesses: Up on his thorny throne on Bald Mountain, Chernabog sees all. Being a powerful spirit of darkness, he can see the worlds as they are and is in tune with the Disney universe, even more so than Yen Sid, as he knows the universes as they presently are, not as they ought to have been before being altered by Mickey's spell. This is not to mean that he is omnipresent, for he does not know the actions of everyone everywhere, nor does he know what everyone's thinking. Whether or not he can actually reads minds will be left ambiguous, but his grasp on individuals is hauntingly accurate.Chernabog does not often speak directly. It is said that those who see him and hear him speak at the same time will surely die. Therefore, look away when he speaks. Instead of speaking directly, he often chooses to speak indirectly through his spirits and ghouls, who act as his mouth and his messengers and who know his will. For that matter, he doesn't leave his mountain often, preferring to send out proxies for him to do his bidding while he broods in his lair.He is the great spirit of evil, and the presumed root of all dark magic. In theory, all dark sorcerors and witches gained their power indirectly through his will, and he is capable of blessing his followers and people with more occult interests with great magics of the darker sorts. He is not generous, however, and even though he could make overly powerful minions, he refrains, preferring to give people more power gradually over the course of their continual alliance with him. His greatest of all such allies was the witch Maleficent.Whatever his dark abilities can do is best left up to the imagination. Ghost stories are never as good when rationalized.Personality: Chernabog is evil, the rightful king of darkness. His desires are twisted, cruel, perverse, and irredeemable. Such a force can never be bargained with, and it can be presumed that anything he would want is bad. Background: Chernabog doesn't need a background. However, he has always been aware of Yen Sid's work in the world to bring about happiness and has despised him for it.Objectives: Obtain the Sorcerer's Hat and use it to create his ultimate spell that will release darkness over all of Fantasia, sparing only those who helped him.Misc: Gothel is his high priestess, dubbed Lady Superior. Scar was raised from the dead in his name and has been named his chief emissary.Name: Tyrannosaurus Rex, "Sue"Strengths and Weaknesses: The Tyrannosaurus Rex has amazing running capacity and ever better jaw strength, though she literally has a pair of T-rex hands.. Once you're forced to run, you're in trouble, but once you're in her jaws, there's no way out. Her eyes are positioned forward to see more clearly, an evolutionary advancement that comes with her enhanced abilities to strategize before attacking her prey. Her vision relies primarily on motion, but she makes up for it by having an astounding sense of smell that quite possibly outperforms that of all species ever to have walked the planet. She's tough and hard to beat down.Personality: Sue is vicious and confident. She is familiar to the sense known as pride, but she doesn't perceive it quite as humans and other cultured creatures do. She can generally be described as a dangerous predator. She's the type of predator whose big and knows she's big, and who doesn't think much of the normal sized creatures around her. When vanquishes her prey, she does so as a conqueror and as their rightful lord, not as a scheming raptor attempting to bring them down. Really, compared to her everything else is already "down". Fortunately, Sue can eat one victim and be content for a very long time, and is then generally at peace with her fellow dinosaurs so long as they give her respect. If she were to meet something as intimidating as herself, she would want to fight it.Background: She is the king of the Evolution realm of Rite of Spring. This is a very informal role, as there's no real society, but the other dinosaurs give her the right of way because she's the biggest bully on the playground, and the several square miles around the portal is generally known as her territory. Objectives: Eat, then make sure nobody disrespects her.Misc: Unlike in the movie, Sue does not walk erect but more realistically walks with her head and tail even, as there was a misconception back in the day that Tyrannosaurus rex walked like a giant tripod. However, Disney very intentionally gave the Tyrannosaurus three visible claws because "it looks better", and I faithfully follow his depiction here.Your Honor,Tyrannosaurus Kraggh

Movie: The Emperor's New GrooveStory: Largely canon besides changing the number of potions made by Yzma and making most of the potions temporary.Conversion Point: Shortly after Kuzko and Pacha discover Yzma's laboratory.Portal: A whirlpool that appeared in the middle of Yzma's lab and quickly grew to encompass much of the lower level of Kuzko's castle.Borders: Presumably includes the capital, a mountain range, and Pacha's village. Assuming that the geography matches the real-world Inca Empire there may also be a coastline nearby. One of the mountain paths now leads to The Great Mouse Detective's version of London.Character: KuzkoStrengths & Weaknesses: Although Kuzko has no combat ability to speak of, his llama body has decent physical strength and endurance. He is also managed to grab some of Yzma's potions. However, they are unlabeled and uniformly pink in shade, making their transformations unpredictable and often useless.Personality: Originally a spoiled and selfish emperor, Kuzko has been humbled somewhat by his time in the company of Pacha. Background: The former 18-year-old emperor of the Incas. Objectives: Return to being a human, reclaim his kingdom, etc.Misc: N/ACharacter: PachaStrengths & Weaknesses: Accustomed to harsh physical labor on his farm, yet still not fighter by nature.Personality: Kuzko's foil, a simple, kind, and hardworking person who has had a string of terrible luck. Background: A peasant whose home was nearly destroyed in order to build Kuzko's summer home. Objectives: Help Kuzko in any way he can while also keeping Kuzko in line.Misc: N/ACharacter: YzmaStrengths & Weaknesses: Yzma considers herself a sorceress, although she is really more of an alchemist by nature. Her specialty is making potions, most of which cause transformation into animal forms when ingested. She is also a competent strategist, although her eccentricity often causes her to overlook details or create overly complex solutions to simple problems.Personality: An egomaniac who will stop at nothing to take what she wants, although her eccentricity and pride frequently cause her to become sidetracked. Background: Yzma served as Kuzko's adviser until he became suspicious of her. Enraged at his dismissal, Yzma plotted to kill Kuzko but accidentally turned him into a llama instead. Objectives: Take the Incan Empire for herself, eliminate Kuzko.Misc: Surprisingly, Yzma considers herself to be rather attractive.Character: KronkStrengths & Weaknesses: The brawn to Yzma's brains, Kronk possesses strength and stamina that are nearly superhuman. However, he lacks the intelligence to use them properly unless directed by Yzma.Personality: Kronk is surprisingly well-meaning and peaceful individual, but he lacks the common sense to realize that Yzma does not share his ideals. Background: Kronk was tasked with disposing of Kuzko's body after Yzma's plot to poison the emperor failed, but he could not bring himself to and ended up putting Kuzko on a merchant's cart. Objectives: Avoid getting on Yzma's bad side.Misc: Kronk is a gifted cook. He can also talk to squirrels.

:kaukau: IC: (Yen Sid, The Sorceror's Apprentice)The Monolith hadn't moved in several days. Neither had Yensid, and so the staring contest had gone on, without eating, without sleeping. The thing was being ornery and disappeared whenever he turned to look away. What was more; it never took him where he wanted to go. It was time that the portal was broken, like a prize colt, and made to stay put when he wanted it to be. So the stair-down had lasted for three days, four hours, and twenty minutes. When the impish Monolith finally gave up, Yensid knew. There were no physical signs, but inside Yensid could feel his internal understanding of the Monolith changing. The silent treatment had finally worked, and he went to his hidden study to pick up his supplies, one broomstick and one magic bottle of ink.For a moment, the Monolith almost left the room. When Yensid looked away, it nudged to one side. "Stay there," said Yensid, without even looking its way. The Monolith stopped.Yensid flattened a piece of parchment left out on the table. It would do. He took it to the wall and set against the cobblestone, where he poured the entire ink bottle on its surface."Spieglein, Spieglein, an der Wand: Sag mir, wer ist die schönste im Land?"The ink ran down the parchment like black blood, but then it pooled into a blot in the center, where it swirled around for a little. Then, like a Rorschach blot test, they spread out into random configurations on the paper. The spots continued to move like bacteria in a petri dish before developing into something larger and more organized. They continued moving, bt the mage was clear. It was a living map of all of Fantasia, shifting through the different worlds. The ink then stopped on one single image of London. Up in the left-hand corner was a compass rose with a detective mouse holding up a pipe like the Big Dipper to the letter N. Words appeared on the parchment, reading, "Here is the fairest."Yensid rolled up the parchment and tucked the broomstick underneath his arm. The Monolith had not moved since he had completed his business. He touched the Monolith's smooth black surface. "It's time to get started. Take me to the world of The Great Mouse Detective."OOC: Kumata, you describe what Yensid sees on the other end.Your Honor,Tyrannosaurus Kraggh Edited by Tyrannosaurus Kraggh

IC: Yen Sid was whisked with prompt and professional efficiency into the vilest sludge he had ever set eyes (or nostrils) upon. It was a waist-deep black liquid that filled the entirely of the cylindrical tunnel in which he had emerged. The smell! The sensation! After recovering from the initial assault on the senses Yen Sid noticed something peculiar about the walls. They were made of metal, but at intervals they had seams where two pieces of metal had been bolted together. It was just that... the bolts holding the metal in place were enormous, bigger than his own head!It was then that it dawned on the sorcerer. To enter a world of mice one must first become mouse-sized. He knew where he was, then - a sewer pipe, one of many that criss-crossed beneath the cobbled London streets.Up ahead a shaft of light was shining upon the river of waste. If Yen Sid were to drudge his way over and look up, he would see a drain cover. If Yen Sid were to ascend to that drain cover, slip through one of the gaps and emerge onto the surface, he would find himself standing in a street known across all of mousedom - Baker Street...OOC: Sorry Kraagh, I just had to put Yen Sid there. :PIncidentally, I'm glad to see that people haven't instantly gone for the more 'typical' Disney worlds (Snow White, Lion King, etc...)

IC (The Emperor's New Groove): In a cave underneath the capital of the Inca Empine, the maniacal Yzma had just handed her minion a dagger and ordered him to finish off the former emperor turned llama, Kuzko, and his retainer, Pacha. The bodyguard was so busy debating with himself, and Yzma was so busy glaring at him and willing him to drop dead, that they did not notice a pool of black liquid inexplicably forming at their feet. Without warning, the pool began spinning violently, quickly tripling in size and pulling the shocked pretender to the throne and company through what had until then been a solid floor."We have to go after her, she has the potion!" the llama yelled. As if in response, the pool of black water erupted into a veritable geyser."On second thought, RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!"The duo managed to scramble up a shelf, then began looking frantically for a way to escape the flooding chamber.OOC: Incidentally, do we choose where our characters end up when they get portal'd? Or do you choose a random Fantasia world?@ Kumata. Yup, I had to pick the failed Lion King-wannabe that got converted into a screwball comedy halfway through production. :P

OOC: Hey, I like that movie. :PIncidentally, does Tangled count as a 'traditional' Disney world? o.OIC: Mother Gothel read the letter over again. Apparently the 'Churnabog' character was interested in giving her a great power... Well, she could use that power to keep herself young forever, and not have to deal with a whiny, naive, teenager who thought of nothing but escape! After abandoning those thugs in the forest, she soon reached the cave that concealer her tower. She swept aside the vines covering the mouth of the cave and was greeted by a flowing, shimmering, purple portal. She scowled when she saw the golden sunburst in the center of it, but she stepped through anyway, preparing to be transported to another world...

"Quis custodiet ipsos custodies? Your grace."

"I know that one. 'Who watches the Watchmen?' Me, Mr. Pessimal."

"Ah, but who watches you, your grace?"

"I do that too. All the time."

:kaukau: Ditto what Kumata said about people's choice in films. Also, I'll be editing my profile for Yen Sid as I figure out the character, which hopefully will show through in these next few posts.IC: (Yen Sid, The Great Mouse Detective)It was hard to foresee everything, although Yensid was glad that this turn of events made enough sense for him to figure out. Hopefully the world hadn't changed too much. When he climbed up the ladder available, which in all fairness was a difficult task due to its size, he found himself in a very large street. Getting his bearings on where he was, he looked around for a street sign, which involved a lot of craning of the neck.He had to admire the mice and other small folk who lived this life. Even though it was something that they had taken for granted, just as he would have if he was born a mouse, he could imagine how it made life a little more difficult. But then it would be more mystical and fantastic all at the same time. The splendor of it all. Finally, he saw the sign labeled Baker Street. How convenient that this was exactly where he needed to be. To be honest he was expecting the portal to be located within Big Ben, which would have been the obvious hot spot for portals.he brushed himself, unhappy with the new scent he had acquired. Visiting and leaving The Great Mouse Detective would not be a pleasant experience by way of portals. Next time it would be better to seek out a wandering band if at all practical, or hopefully The Great Mouse Detective, like all the other worlds at the moment, would mix with another world with a cleaner portal, since it was still in the process of converging. No matter. He rolled up his sleeves and thrust out his arms. The moisture and scent on his robes parted from him and disappeared.Much better. Now onto business. He set the broom upright on the ground and snapped his fingers. It grew a pair of arms and its straw base parted into two stubby legs. "Stand watch," said Yensid. He went to the door that he recognized ought to have belonged to the detective himself and knocked. How would he react? How strange it would be, coming from the viewpoint of a mouse to stand eye-to-eye with humans. How confusing it would be to discover new worlds that defied reason for one so reasonable. He would try to make this transition as easy as possible."Basil! I know you're in there. I am about to give you the highest calling you have ever answered to."OOC: You may describe what he was doing before Yensid arrived. And how he reacts to such a seemingly pompous claim.Your Honor,Tyrannosaurus Kraggh Edited by Tyrannosaurus Kraggh

OOC: FYI Big Ben was my first choice for the portal location, but then I realised since people end up mouse-sized in this world they'd have to make a long descent/climb every time they wanted to access it. :PIC: There was a few moment's delay before the sorcerer's knock was answered. Then, with a gentle creak, the door was opened - not by Basil, but by his plump assistant, Dawson."Good evening sir," said Dawson, for it was night and the streets were illuminated in pools of yellow from the street lamps, "my name is Dr. Dawson. Did I hear you say you were looking for Basil?"The sorcerer nodded."Ah, well it's just um... he's rather busy at the moment you know. Working on a very big case. If you don't mind stepping inside to wait I'm sure he can spare a moment eventually. This way..." True to his gentlemanly ways, Dawson made no mention of the rank sewer smell that still clung to the sorcer or the fact that, being human, he appeared to Dawson as a deformed mouse with hardly any hair on his upper face. The interior of 221 Baker Street was cosily warm. A fireplace roared at its centre, casting dancing orange light onto the surrounding books and chemical bottles. The place was in a state of disarray. A tall, thin mouse in a long magenta dressing-gown darted to and fro between odd contraptions and scientific equipment, muttering to himself all the while. In one hand he clutched a worn leather boot, its sole coated in blood-red paint; in the other he clutched a smoking pipe, from which he took the odd puff in-between sentences."... couldn't have been at his country home because his bootprints were found... could have been faked, but who would want to... but O'Sullivan was an enemy of the late Baron, why would he choose to... unless..."Dawson and Yen Sid stood in the small wooden landing that emerged from the entrance of the flat. "Can I take your, er, robe?" Offered Dawson...

:kaukau: OOC: Just curious, do you have the case Basil's on mapped out or is that not something you plan on getting into?IC: (Yen Sid, The Great Mouse Detective, 221 Baker Street)Yensid shook his head. "No, I don't have much underneath these."He walked up to Basil, who was still too busy contemplating his present case to notice. Just like Basil, he supposed, and it was not altogether unlikely that there would be a brief period where he would have to convince Basil of the importance of the new cause, if Olivia's efforts were any indication, Yensid would have to face several rude dismissals before being snapped into it...by speaking in terms all too familiar. Unfortunately, Yensid had no idea what time he had arrived into the world of The Great Mouse Detective, so whether or not dropping a reference to Professor Ratigan was register as a legitimate concern or as a hocus claim was not entirely certain to him.He stood in one spot, and Basil often walked straight past him without paying any attention. "Are you so focused on your work that you don't notice a visitor or are you just ignoring me? I'm genuinely curious about that mind of yours."Your Honor,Tyrannosaurus Kraggh Edited by Tyrannosaurus Kraggh

IC: "Many are, but I have no time for visitations, and the rather offensive aroma on your robe is disturbing my own concentration," snapped Basil without stopping to look at Yen Sid, instead moving over to a table full of chemical beakers. "Leave your card with Dawson and I shall permit you an appointment at a more appropriate time. I must bring this case to its conclusion before the trail goes cold. Dawson! See this person out!"Dawson waddled up. "Now now Basil, this gentleman has taken the time to visit you in person. Don't you think you ought to extend him the courtesy of at least listening to what he has to say?""Please Dawson, if I were to listen to the ailings of all the halfwits that come knocking at my door I would be too engrossed in searching for lost trinkets and other mundane tasks to even begin to focus on problems of greater importance." He looked at Yen Sid. "Now my dear newt, if you would be so kind as to lea - hold on." The detective's eyes narrowed; he leaned closer to Yen Sid. "You're not a newt, are you? Pale pink skin, yes, obviously a denizen of the sewer, but you have hair. Newts don't have hair." Without asking he tugged at the sorcerer's beard, then grabbed his hand and pulled back the sleeve in order to examine the whole arm. He prodded and frowned. "Fine hairs all over... fingernails... why, it's quite impossible but... you are a human. aren't you?"Dawson gasped. "A human! Bu-but Basil, how on Earth-""As improbable as it may sound Dawson, there is no other conclusion that supports the available facts. How very peculiar." Basils' curious gaze swept over Yen Sid again, and after taking a puff of his pipe he gestured to one of two armchairs by the fire. "Please, sit down sir, and enlighten me as to the reason for your coming here..."

OOC:Movie: The Lion KingStory: The story is fairly similar, but taking place in an alternate universe from the movie. Here, some the animals are anthromorphic, divided into several different races, though most pledge loyalty to the King of the Lions. It takes place on a large island, around the size of Australia, divided into four areas. In the north lies a large desert, inhabited by the Merquat, a short, quick desert race who live in a loose confederation of tribes, pledging loyalty only to themselves. In the south lies a large jungle, with villages of the Hok, a pig-like race living on the ground. While intelligent primates exist in the southern part, they will rarely be seen, if ever. Simba spent much of his exile here.To the west lie the dark lands, containing the elephant graveyard. They surrounded by the black mountains. This is the land of the Hyna and their steeds, the Elefunte. They live in the mountains and beyond, where there is a small area of fertile land around the coast. Their population has suffered due to King Simba's expansion of the pride lands during the great war, and they are restricted to their lands. While they are known as the dark lands, this refers to the poverty and infertile land more than a lack of light. In the east is a large plain, containing the pride lands. However, the rule of Scar caused the Pridelands to shrink to only a part of what they were. Though the Zebur and Hurnbel have pledged allegiance to Simba and the Lyon, the Jirafe and Antel are divided. Some of the Antel have joined Simba, while others live in nomadic tribes with the Jirafe. Some of the Jirafe have retreated to their great northern walled cities, where they resist Simba's expansion, resentful after Scar's rule.Between the Pridelands and the jungle lies a large forested area, home of the Babu. Only one, Rafiki, has rejoined Simba. The rest of the powerful shamans wait for Simba to prove himself. The cities are made of mud and stone, and the most advanced weapons here are bows. Think of African tribal society, with large stone cities. You won't find guns here, and little metal, though magic is common.Conversion Point: As the usurper Scar died, the Pridelands was drawn into Fantasia.Portal: Located near Simba's capital, at the top of the mountain known as Pride RockCharacter: King SimbaStrengths & Weaknesses: Simba is a tall Lyon, standing around 7 feet tall. Like all of his race, he appears as a humanoid lion, in his case with a stone amulet symbolizing his authority. He carries a long spear into battle, as well as an impressive array of knives. He wears little armor, only leather in vital areas, but like most sentients in the pridelands he wears clothing over his lower body at all times.Personality: Simba is a young ruler, but cares for his people. He wants to see his father's kingdom restored to glory, and will work hard to do so. He sees the fantasia event as an opportunity to gain help, and perhaps lands in other worlds. Background: In this version of the film, many animals are anthromorphic. Others are large, somewhat changed versions of themselves. The plot is mostly the same, with Mufasa's death at the hands of Scar, Simba's exile, and his return to take his place as king. The portal to Fantasia was opened as Scar died, the hyenas leaving in the ensuing confusion. Simba now seeks to restore his father's rule over the land from the many factions that have risen up, while dealing with the portal and its implications. Objectives: Restore his father's kingdom, contact the other worlds.Misc: Simba is a powerful warrior with the might of a kingdom behind him. He has little skill in magic, but knows a few things, like starting fires and stopping bleeding.Sentient races include:

  • [*]Lyon, humanoid lions[*]Antel, short humanoid antelopes[*]Jirafe, largest of the sentients, humanoid giraffe/centaurs with horns[*]Merquat: robed humanoid meerkats, think a cross between Timon and a Jawa[*]Hyna, humanoid hyenas, look much like the movie versions but walk on two legs[*]Hok: humanoid warthogs[*]Zebur: Humanoid zebras[*]Hurnbel: intelligent bird-like race, able to fly but have hands to hold items. Small compared to others.[*]Babu: Most magically powerful race, look much like Rafiki in the film.

--------------IC: The grass swayed gently in the breeze in the Pridelands, stretching away for miles in all directions. In the distance, one could see the capital, (insert name here once I decide on one), the stone city curling around Pride Rock, Simba's palace highest of all the other buildings. In the city numerous beings were going about their day, from Antel merchants hawking their wares to Hurnbel messengers soaring above the streets. But here, all was quiet. For now.A long Ibex grazed on the grass. The herd had begun to move on, but the creature wasn't worried. It would just finish its meal and then...The animal never saw the spear coming. As it fell, Simba bounded over to it, whispering a quick thanks to his ancestors as his finished the animal's life with a short knife stroke. He easily lifted the kill over his shoulder. While he, as king, really didn't have to hunt, he enjoyed it. It was one of the few things that gave him any pleasure now, besides his wife Nala. She was due soon with his first child, he recalled, pleased at the thought. He turned around to his two companions, expecting congratulations on the kill."Well that was-"No sound cut him off. Rather, the lack of it. He saw his two partners, Haruni and Abu, smiling at him, but they didn't move. Neither did the grass sway, or the birds call. The world had frozen, and a blue haze hung over it.He found himself able to move, and dropped the carcass, taking his spear. He moved into a crouch, spear at the ready."Always so defensive.... Aheehee!"The voice cut through the silence, and Simba whirled around to face the source. He found a hooded figure holding a staff, shorter than him, but the only other thing moving now.The being threw back its hood, revealing a wild, crazed face which seemed to be painted blues and reds, with sharp teeth extending past it's grin. It whipped off its robe, revealing the gray furred body of a Babu. The robe was gone, disappeared by some magic."Rafiki? What do you need?" asked the King, curiosity mounting."Ah, no greeting? It has been too long, my boy!""Umm, hello," chuckled Simba. "I thought you were with your people?""They sent me away again. They think I'm.... Not right, in the head I mean. Can you believe it?" asked the shaman, convulsing into fits of hysterical laughter."Not at all...." started Simba again. "But why is the world stopped?"Rafiki laughed again. "Oh, right! This is their doing. They wanted me to speak to you.""Who's they?" asked Simba, raising an eyebrow."My people! Don't you listen? No respect..." with this, the shaman rapped him on the head with the gourds attached to his staff, causing Simba to rub his head. Anyway, they have a message for you. The portal is changing. Go to it.""It hasn't done anything for weeks. It just sits there, glowing.""Ah, well all things must come to an end. Go to it. Quickly."With a swirl of his robe(which had reappeared), the shaman was gone.A bird called in the distance as the wind began to blow again.Simba's two companions ran up, excited."Excellent kill, sire!" sad Haruni, extending a paw in congratulations. But Simba's gaze was not on him. It was on the top of pride rock, where a beam of blue light was shooting into the sky.Straight from the portal.Without another word, the king turned and ran for it, forgetting the kill. He dropped onto all fours, increasing his speed as he bounded across the savannah.

OOC: You know ToA, your anthropomorphic hyenaa should totally meet up with my anthropomorphic hyenas :PIC: Kottharaka hated the ceremonial jersey. The wool was itchy and heavy, it weighed him down and made him sweat. But the battle required that he wear it. It marked out which side he was on and would help identify his body if it came to that. As he tucked the diamond pendant necklace that marked his as a savant of two orders under the yellow and black striped jersey he marched out the changing room. His younger sister, the child princess, was waiting for him with her entourage."I fail to see why you need me for this Viverri," he said, scratching at an armpit, "The is House Felis' battle, they must have plenty for their side."Viverri, as usual, said nothing, just sat in her robes and jewellery. It was left for Ossifragus, the Regent, to answer. "House Felis has brutes aplenty, but their savants are away fighting for more important locations. But House Oviparous has more of them to spare, and Clan Crocodylus has sent one of theirs to win this.""I see. You're fighting fire with fire.""You are more right than you know. Their savant is a Trecorum master."Trecorum was the discipline of fire... "So you're fighting fire with water. Smart." ...just as Kottharaka's Satis was the discipline of water."We thought it would appeal to you."Kottharaka had no comment for that, though he would dearly have liked to retort that it was more like "I though it would appeal to you." He doubted his sister had any words on the subject.Abandoning the conversation he headed to the battle site. Nobody had bothered warring over the Royal Pitch in quite some time, its only value was ceremonial. Then the...thing had showed up. It was like an absence in the world, a white void that leeched colour from its surroundings. If you got close you'd turn black and white, then just white with an outline, before finally disappearing within the wormhole completely. Nobody knew what it did, just that they wanted it.Kottharaka took place next to four warriors from Clan Panthera, another from his own Clan Crocuta, to from Clan Uncia and three from House Felis itself. A full eleven aside then. Whoever had called this battle thought it was important then.As the motly band of birds and lizards from House Oviparous lined up on the other side the referee, a member of the relatively small (in numbers, not actual size) House Ursus carried the ball into the middle of the field."I want a nice clean game," he drawled. Then he blew his whistle and the battle began

OOC: IC later, here's Rafiki.Character: RafikiStrengths & Weaknesses: Rafiki, being a Babu, is a powerful shaman. In fact, the power within him makes him one of the greatest of his race. As a mad shaman can be a bad thing, the Babu limited his power to where he could only commune with spirits, leaving his best skills in telekinesis.Personality: Rafiki is mad, and quite hard to understand sometimes. He speaks in cryptic ways, assuming his listener will fill in the blanks. However, he does care deeply about Simba and wants the best for him. Background: After his exile, he became Mufasa's personal shaman, performing ritual services for the king. He lived on his own during Simba's exile, but returned with him to serve the young king as he did his father. While he may be mad, Rafiki is still a shaman worthy of respect, as someone who can communicate with the spirits can wreck havok on you. Objectives: Enter fantasia to help SimbaMisc: His power is primarily focused through his staff. Separate him from it, and he'll have a tough time controlling what he's doing.

Well, would you just look at that?

:kaukau: OOC: Sorry I've taken this long, Kumata, but it's taken some time to figure out the most in-character way for someone like Yen Sid to carry out the following interaction with Basil.IC: (Yen Sid, The Great Mouse Detective, 221 Baker Street)"Human, specifically a sorcerer, and I came to you, Basil, because I had full confidence that with your open mind you could accept the otherworldly truths that have subjected themselves to London," said Yensid as they walked over to the armchairs. "Now, before I sit down, there is one clarification I need to experiment with." He jumped up once, then, satisfied with the results, eased himself down into the armchair. "That's better. I was debating whether the rest of the world had grown larger or if I had grown smaller. Gravity has proved for me the latter.""Yes, I see," said Basil, taking it all in."I'm not sure how you'll take this," said Yensid, "since observation alone does not always rewrite worldviews, so permit me to give you a more blunt and tactless demonstration of the circumstances. Dawson, don't look in any reflective surfaces."Over near the coffee table, an aura surrounded Dawson's head, and a yellow light obscured his features before dying down to reveal inexplicable changes to his anatomy. On Dawson's shoulders was now the head of a donkey, complete with protruding ears and clumsy teeth that could hardly fit underneath his upper lip."What was that? What's happening to me?" asked Dawson, holding up his hands to feel his face."Dawson, let's just say that he's proved his point," said Basil. "Don't feel your face, either."Yensid waved his hand. The aura appeared around Dawson's head again, and it returned back to normal."It was magic that brought me here, and the world around us has changed to be incorporated into larger affairs," said Yensid, turning in his chair to face his host more fully and allow for the conversation to be more engaging. "I came here by a portal connecting unconnected spaces, but unfortunately it's in the sewer. Fortunately it's right underneath your house, but it's still beneath us...in more ways than one. My purpose for this visitation was to deliver you your calling. You're brilliant, Basil, and though I wish the best for you to solve the mystery of the Baron's murder, since nobody's problems are small, you'll have to find time for saving the world. I hope I'm not dropping this on you too quickly."Your Honor,Tyrannosaurus Kraggh

IC: It was late afternoon when Simba reached the city, his friends close behind. The inhabitants were ending their day, closing their shops and making their various ways home. Or, they would be usually. The bright blue beam of light from the mountain had invited curious onlookers to stare up at it in aww. The three Lyion ran through the streets, focused on making it to the palace.Simba's palace was more than halfway up Pride Rock, the tallest building there. But there was still a long path to climb to the portal. They moved through the stone hallways, not stopping to look at the carved arches and other finery. Near the back was a large, ornate stone door, covered in various symbols. Simba pulled it open-And then started back from the grinning face in front of him."Ah, took you a long time I see!" chuckled Rafiki."Rafiki! How did you-" Simba abruptly cut off his sentence. He had learned not to question the Babu's ways of travel. The shaman extended a long, skinny finger towards Simba's two companions."Not them. Only us. Come with me."The two hunters looked at each other, but Simba nodded, assuring them it was alright. With that, he and Rafiki exited the palace, finding the only path to the portal, a steep, rocky, twisting road dug into the mountain by nature. They headed up at a quick pace, Rafiki's skill at climbing giving Simba no time for rest. In about an hour, they reached their destination. They passed through a hole in a badly constructed wooden fence, where a gate could have been located, and Simba layed eyes on the portal. It was a clear blue, nearly cyan pool of water, surrounded by cliff on three sides. The only opening was the one they had come through. The water stirred menacingly, glowing with soft light- except for the center. There the brilliant blue beam shot into the heavens, fading away in the sky. Rafiki reached in a pocket of his robe, grabbing a handful of a yellow powder. He tossed it over the water, muttering some words in a language Simba was not familiar with. The powder met the beam and diffused its light, causing it to completely disappear in seconds. However, the pool still swirled, and the water still glowed.Rafiki spoke again, faster this time, as the pool sped up with him. This time Simba caught one word, the last one- it sounded like "Phantassia."Rafiki looked at him, and pointed at the pool."Into it. I will follow.""Rafiki, I can't just go, I have a child on the way, for ancestors' sake! Not to mention the-"Rafiki closed his hand in a gesture for silence, and Simba found his lips locked together."Taken care of. Go, now!"The air around Rafiki's staff glowed blue as he swung it through the air. Though it didn't touch him, Simba felt a massive force push him into the pool.Once he touched the water, he dove in, finding it deeper than he would have expected. He was a fairly strong swimmer, and continued down, trying to see what was coming. He was dimly aware of Rafiki diving in behind him just as the music began.OOC: Enter- Fantasia!Alright Kraggh, what are they gonna see? :P

IC: Flyn Ryder and Rapunzel traveled slowly through the forest. Ever since the kiss they'd shared on the boat last night, neither of them had much to say... They were both trying to sort out these new feelings. However, they were almost back to Rapunzel's tower, so they'd need to come up with something soon...After a few more moments of walking, the duo arrived at the vine-covered cave entrance. "Well..." Flyn started, before swiftly being interrupted by Rapunzel. "Eugene..." She said, using his real name. "I-I don't want to go back! I want to stay with you, see the world, have adventure... I can't leave you..." Flyn smiled, wrapping his arms around the blonde girl. "Of course, Blondie." He said quietly. Rapunzel gasped with glee, and nearly started crying. "Oh Eugene, thank you thank you thank you! I've just got to grab a few things out of the tower, come on!" She ran to the mouth of the cave, and flung aside the vines covering it. She gasped again, in shock this time. Covering the mouth of the cave was the shimmering purple portal with the royal crest at the center, the same one Mother Gothel had stepped through hours earlier. The two humans and their pair of animal companions studied the portal for the next few minutes. Finally, Flyn shrugged and said, "Well, we may as well go through it." "What?! Flyn, are you crazy?!" "Hey Blondie, you're the one who said you wanted adventure! This is as good a place to find it as any!" Rapunzel thought for a moment before taking a deep breath and nodding. "Okay! Let's go!" "Great!" Flyn replied, taking Rapunzel's hand and stepping through the portal, brandishing the frying pan he carried...OOC: Time to find out what's through there!

:kaukau: OOC: Since Simba has no way of possibly having any place in mind, I'll just drop him off in the most immediately fantastic environment imaginable.IC: (What Simba sees)As he continued down into the water, a bright light shone up from below, looking like a star superior to any other seen in the heavens. Surrounding it were many other stars, forming a swirling galaxy. It was as if Simba was swimming in the heavens amongst his ancestors.Amidst the stars were ghostly apparitions of shapes and people he had never seen before, and panels of curved glass floated through nebulae, reflecting worlds he could not imagine. There was a sound like music, but it was not music as he knew it, but rather the collective conscious of many cultures and eras all playing at once, emanating from instruments never introduced to the Pride Lands. The great assortment played randomly, like it was warming up, wandering aimlessly but building into something greater. Along with the music was a distant narrator, a calm and collected voice underlying the other sounds, where he heard snippets of talking and dialogue, ranging from philosophy to mere observations, even a comment on him, and if he had listened carefully enough he might have heard something relative, but at the moment it all flew past him.Simba felt desperate to breathe, but by then he was too far down. He opened his mouth, not caring if he took in air or water, only that his lungs were filled. To his surprise, he was now breathing neither, and was now swimming through space filled with some sort of ether. Now he felt that he no longer had to swim so much as will himself forward, down into the heart of the galaxy, down into the great abyss of mysteries. The stars swallowed him whole when he finally seemed to become one with the central supernova. The glass shapes closed in on him. A beat passed where the universe seemed to cease to exist. There was a tapping, and the music stopped. The various strings of the anonymous narrator fell away as he made one final observation: " - to the wonderful world of Disney."There was a moment of absolution.A light came from heaven, illuminating everything. It hit bright geometric shapes covering every color in the rainbow, which unfolded and flapped away like butterflies. Like a giant cloud, the butterflies lifted up until they blotted out the sky, with only the heavenly light, in all its purity, shining through. Simba found himself on the ground amongst them, with a great symphony surrounding him. He was in a shallow spring amidst tall stone outcroppings, with little rivers running into it. Behind him was a tall, black monolith, the only thing that did not seem illuminated by the brilliant rays.Had he crawled out of the spring to the higher ground, he would have seen mountains in the east and mountains a mile to the west, with the entrances to a few caves glowing with colorful stones. To the north there was an expanse of some abstract unknowable thing, which seemed to change every time the eyes laid upon it, humming with another music different from that of the world of butterflies, one more mathematical in nature. Everywhere there seemed to be light, existing in some mode or other, and it did not just confine itself to the sky."Simba," said Rafiki, gesturing up the mossy stones and across the waters of the spring, encompassing the light, the butterflies, and the sway of the music in one motion. "Fantasia!"Your Honor,Tyrannosaurus Kraggh Edited by Tyrannosaurus Kraggh

IC: Simba took in a sharp breath. The butterflies, the monolith, even the music.... It was all too much to take in."Rafiki... Where are we?""I told you, Fantasia!""What is Fantasia?"This earned him another rap on the head."Where we are! Honestly, Simba, a King has to think better than that."With that, the Babu began shuffling away in his odd gate, towards the mathematical music."Now come along! I was told to bring you to someone named Yensid.""Wait... You mean you've never been here before?"Rafiki's laugh echoed through the mountains around them.

:kaukau: IC: (What Flyn and Rapunzel see)As Eugene and Rapunzel vanished through the portal, it hummed as it pulled them in, and gravity ceased to exist. The universe turned a violet hue so that everywhere they looked it was as if they were surrounded by the northern lights. They were in a tunnel, some sort of stream. Flowing in exotic currents around them were streams of golden flowers, opening and closing their petals in a joyous bubbly tune. Not knowing where they were going, but astounded by the inside of the portal, the path ceased to act as a tunnel and rounded out into a giant chamber of violet stars and light formations around them. It was as if the Milky Way had turned into an astronomical cavern of amethyst. The flowers danced around them, continuing their effervescent hymn of celebration. The chorus consisted of the voices of children, whose chords rang true and as bright as the light around them. Suddenly they slowed down. In one long "ooo" they built themselves up, wandering and twisting like a stream indirectly into a crescendo. Accompanying them was a sound that was either inhuman voices or violins, but they danced fast and jumped between multiple octaves in major leaps. The light around them grew brighter and brighter."Rapunzel, your hair!" gasped Eugene. She pulled a lock down in front of her eyes and saw that it was glowing brighter than it had ever glowed before."Your clothes!" replied Rapunzel, and they saw that their garments were whiter than snow. It was all so overwhelming, so powerful, but they got caught up in the moment, leaning in toward each other until their lips met in a soft kiss. The music hit a climax with a clashing of symbols, and for a moment, the two were as stars until it all dropped away. The flowers withered and closed. Somewhere from beyond them, coming from the violet planetarium surrounding them was a deep choir of sounds, hitting one infinitely deep note. Some of the stars seemed to sweep away in an unnatural way, and a great force brushed the flowers aside, parting them like a curtain. What they saw next made their faces as white as their clothes as a mystical, unexplainable sense of dread came over them.Peering out of the fabric of the flowers was a face, large and horned and black, which leaned out from the flowers like a god observing the universe from his place amongst the clouds. His eyes were mere white outlines, staring at them anonymously, piercing into their soul with such an intensity that Rapunzel felt her golden hair turn silver.Whether he was distant or right in their face was difficult to tell, but his presence felt huge. One thing was certain, however. One thing was very, very certain, and it was the most terrible thing imaginable for a princess who had already spent her entire life imagining countless things.I SEE YOU... it said.In one massive hand, Rapunzel saw an unmistakable woman in a black cloak, her protective mother, caught in his clutch. She was struggling to gain freedom, and failing. From far across the surreal distance separating them, her eyes flashed with desperation and concern. "Save yourselves!"It was to break the ice of fear that froze their bodies in place and awaken their flight instincts. Incidentally, they actually found themselves flying through the abyss, which turned once more into a tunnel. The purple light was dimmer now, both in luminosity as well as hue. The flowers around them seemed to be weeping, and cried a wailing tune. A light came up at the end of the tunnel, and once more the voice of children met them, but to their ears the sound was distant and hollow, like the distant echoes of ghosts. The horror they had just seen blotted everything else out."It's a small world after all. It's a small world after all. It's a small world after all. It's a small, small, world."Their vision cleared and the vortex was no more. They were standing in an orchestral chamber now, next to a tall monolith. They did not recall their feet hitting the ground. When they looked at their clothes, and when Rapunzel checked her hair, everything was back to normal again. The Monolith next to them was blacker than obsidian. Surrounding it were chunks of what looked like the same material. When they looked around, they realized that they were where the conductor would have stood. The entire place was filled with empty chairs with instruments resting next to them, as if it had been abandoned in haste. There was a deep silence, and a sense of utmost darkness. Then a dull red light shone, a circle, surrounded by various other blotches of color. If they would have walked through, they would have found themselves walking through the realm of Toccata and Fugue, where the landscape changed every time they turned their back and warped itself to fit their state of mind in abstract ways."I think it's the only way out of here," said Eugene. Somehow, it was hard to question his conclusion, even though the last wonderland they went through turned into a nightmare fast, and this one looked even more ominous. A normal sense of panic would have normally induced a desire to claw at the walls and find any other way out, but it seemed to be calling them, and the Monolith by them seemed to erase itself from their minds.IC: (Chernabog)Mother Gothel stood precariously near the top of Bald Mountain, having walked the whole way up from the graveyard. She now was in a place to stair strait into the maw of the boiling crater.Chernabog loomed over her like a mountain of his own, crouching on his throne. He was but a black outline obscured by the steam and darkness of night, save for his white eyes, which pierced from underneath his brow as an ever-present reminder of his omniscience.A bare-breasted siren flew up from the steam. Chernabog held out his hand and it landed on it, presenting itself to Gothel."I speak on the behalf of our Lord of Darkness," said the siren. "He knows the will of your heart. Immortality he has to offer you, yes, and more. You have taken a leap of faith for following his message here, and for that, you shall be rewarded greatly. Take this cup of blood and drink of it, and you shall never age another day."The siren reached into the space between her breasts, tearing out her sternum and pulling her heart from the cavity in her chest. A fire appeared in one hand and materialized in the form of a golden chalice. She wrung her heart over the glass and squeezed out the blood inside. She held it out for Gothel."Once you drink of this, you will accept the quest to seek the Sorcerer's Hat." An apparition of the hat appeared next to the chalice. "Succeed, and our Lord of Darkness will grant you eternal life and authority in his dark world. Seek it, and also go out to bring us the wicked Emperor Von Corvus, whose heart is dark and whose armies are strong. Manipulate him, and keep him in check. Keep him Ours, and so shall be the Sorcerer's hat. Go soon, for our Lord of Darkness has seen your petulant daughter coming into Fantasia, and soon the forces of good will unite against us."The chalice still hovered in front of Gothel's face, and she reached out, but then the siren pulled away. "A personal query, not on behalf of our Lord of Darkness: do you intend to keep your objectives secret from her?"OOC: Sorry I overlooked your question, Keizah. Basically, they will have control over where they go once they understand what it is and know what different worlds are open in the RPG. Until then, yeah it's random IC (although OOC you still get to decide), since the characters don't a place in mind that they'd like to go.Your Honor,Tyrannosaurus Kraggh Edited by Tyrannosaurus Kraggh

IC: "Yes, I see. I perfectly understand what is going on," said Basil with a smile. "The only question that remains to be answered is how you did it.""Did what?""Intoxicated Dawson and I will your hallucinogen, of course. A light smearing on the hands, possibly, as that is the only part of your body we have both come into contact with, although the noxious sewer smell you have doused yourself with may be intended to mask the odour of the chemical agent. It's a powerful one, I'll give you that, conjurer, but I am afraid that such boastful displays are a waste of my time. Dawson! As I said before, show this man to the door."Dawson had been staring into the mirror ever since the disappearance of his donkey features, feeling his face all over with astonishment. "Bu-bu-but Basil, I felt-""Yes, Dawson, hallucinogens are designed to fool the senses." Basil was tugging impatiently at Yen Sid's sleeve, to try and get him to rise. "If you seek a customer for this invention try the chemist's on Oxford Street. But in any case please take care not to bother me again..."OOC: It's not going to be easy in the slightest to convince Basil of the existence of magic. Sort of like how a devoutly religious person cannot be shaken in their faith - Basil's faith is science. Plus I want to IC Basil in every world trying desperately to come up with rational explanations for everything. :P

:kaukau: OOC: Might I say, that was exactly the reaction I expecting? Man, I'm going to love Basil in this RPG.IC: (Yen Sid,The Great Mouse Detective, 221 Baker Street)"Good, you have found a rational explanation," said Yensid. "At least you are yet in character." He got up and gestured Dawson aside, escorting himself out. Basil would find out the truth himself sooner or later, and whether or not he accepted it was only half as relevant as his decision on helping. Even if he did not believe in the world of Disney, Basil was a positive spirit whose heart was set in helping others, and helping the needs of innocent people was an archetypal idea that logic irrevocably supported. That was at the heart of his world view. That was what would define his actions. When he was in the door frame, Yensid turned around. "It might interest you to look in the newspaper soon. There will be a peculiar incident concerning the city limits of London and a high possibility of things happening that society cannot explain. For a while, I'm afraid, the only thing your worldview will permit you to believe is cogito ergo sum."Yensid left the way he came in. Outside, he decided not to head through the sewer. It would be the most practical route, but he did not feel like enduring the muck again, even though he could easily clean himself off with magic. Instead, he took out his map to look at the borders of London, and found that they had already converged into other worlds, with the paths leading off elsewhere into the distance. That was convenient, he thought, for it meant that the different societies would blend and learn from each other, and Fantasia would grow into something ever more unique and special because of it. It would also be more flexible to the evils that would soon fall upon it.That was it, then; he would journey to the edge of the city and to the next realm. He rolled up his map and put it in his pocket. It was then that he realized that the broomstick was gone. His sharp eyes traveled across the street. There were no suspicious signs, but Yensid was familiar enough with the narrative of the world to know what had happened. He didn't dwell on it, however, since it wasn't truly important, and soon enough it would be Basil's business.Speaking of which, he turned and aimed a charm at Basil's window. It was a simple enough mystery that Basil was working on. Soon the crucial piece of evidence would appear to Basil out of nowhere, as if he had overlooked it all along. The detective should appreciate the serendipity.Yensid whistled. "Toby! Come here Toby!" he said. The sound was magically carried through the air so that it met the ears of the dog several streets away. It came running to him. Toby, being a dog, was particularly aware of spirits, and the sorcerer could sense that the detective's pet would have a bit more understanding when it came to confronting the world around them. He also sensed that the animal understood who he was."I have an adventure for you," said the sorcerer. "You can trust me. My name is Yen Sid." At the mere mention of his identity, Toby perked up. He was very interested now. It was then not very difficult to mount Basil's pet, and they rode off together into the night. An hour later, Big Ben struck midnight. Yensid discovered something else, an even better means of transport, in a most fortunate encounter. He dismounted Toby and waved the loyal steed off. Toby understood the message and headed back to Baker Street so he wouldn't be missed. The moonlight shone above and the sorcerer's gray hair. He walked with his hands folded together and with his footsteps even, looking every bit as sage as he was.The black-silhouetted orchestra prepared their instruments, and they played Toccata and Fugue. The magic of the music swept him away, and the wizard disappeared.Your Honor,Tyrannosaurus Kraggh Edited by Tyrannosaurus Kraggh

:kaukau: IC: (Yen Sid, Toccata and Fugue)Toccata and Fugue was perhaps his favorite part of Fantasia, although he loved every bit of it that choosing favorites was hard to decide. That was why he never bothered. He did particularly enjoy the beginning to the fugue, however, and had that in mind as he landed into Fantasia's most mystical realm.Surrounding him were blue clouds and the outlines to violin strings and their wands. It was, in many ways, what Yensid might have imagined Heaven looking like where it to be on Earth. He put his hands together and waited, contemplating serene thoughts. Basil would miss this appointment, but the other young heroes were on their way.OOC: Based off of how I've described Toccata and Fugue up to this point, I'm going to allow you guys to write your own posts with your characters figuring out the world of the abstract. Geographic location doesn't really exist here, so in order to meet up with him you'll have to be in a state of mind that reminds you of the Fugue segment.By the way, is anyone interesting in merging borders with Kumata's London? His current status suggests that the roads of London lead to other worlds.IC: (Chernabog)"As you wish," said the siren, and the chalice transitioned its way between her hand and Gothel's. OOC:Character: ScarStrengths & Weaknesses: Being undead, Scar has a number of abilities. The first and foremost is that he will heal from any wounds in minutes. His body must be completely destroyed for him to die, and in that case Chernabog would no doubt intervene. He's much stronger than in life, and in fact that it should be possible to be, possessing unnatural physical strength, speed, and even enhanced senses. He has some skill with magic, though less than someone like Rafiki. He also possesses one more ability- he can call upon Chernabog, giving his body completely to the dark lord for a period of time. In this form, his body goes completely black except for his pure white eyes, he gets even bigger, and he's got the magic and strength associated with being a physical incarnation of Chernabog. However, in this form he may only be controlled by staff.Scar has one weakness, however- he has become a vampire, having to feed off the life force of others to stay on the mortal plane. Once per day, he must drain the life force of another(not by drinking their blood, more like prolonged physical contact), or risk returning to death.Personality: Scar is a malevolent force for evil- but mostly, for his own good. Though he's become subject to the will of Chernabog, he's still a sly, greedy trickster, looking to accomplish his own ends. Background: Scar was killed by Simba in the battle for control of Pride Rock. His family and supporting lions fled to the Dark Lands with the hyenas, where they continued to rule them. However, society has become so desperate that they sought the return of their King, invoking the ancient name of Chernabog to return him to life. Objectives: Serve the dark lord, establish Chernabog's domain over the Pridelands in the form of his Kingship.Misc: His appearance is much the same, besides that he's humanoid, and has longer claws. The longer he goes without feeding, his body begins to decay and wither away, though it doesn't rob him of much of his strength.-------IC: It had been a day already since Simba had vanished.Nala had received Rafiki's note, written on a sheet of papyrus in his neat writing(an odd trait for one so... Unusual), but she still would have like to say goodbye to Simba. She looked out the balcony, towards the west. Though the Prideland was a large expanse of territory, it was mostly flat. She could just make out the mountains in the west which marked the boundary. She remembered the day she and Simba had ventured there as children, and found the great elephant graveyard. She shuddered at the thought. She peered out to the west again. A storm was brewing, which she could make out in the fading light. Something about it seemed... Unnatural. As if the sky itself were full of malice."Simba, hurry," whispered the Queen.---------IC: It was storming in the Dark Lands. Not an uncommon occurrence, mused Zira, but particularly poignant for this night. She moved out of her dwelling, a cave covered by a flap of skin. Not particularly fitting for a queen, but one made due. She left her cubs sleeping in the cave. The resurrection of their stepfather wasn't something she was sure children should see.Shenzi met her outside."Is it ready?" asked Scar's mate."Yes, your majesty. The shamans are in place."------It was a short trip to the grave site, up on one of the low mountains. It was marked by the skull of an elefunte and a small round stone, inscribed with Scar's name. Somewhere under that earth lay her husband.Zira gritted her teeth as she looked at the grave. Scar had been a king, and this was all that was left of him. Mufasa had an entire monument dedicated to him, and they didn't even have the body!No matter. All would be set right soon enough. The shamans, four shuffling Hyna, were waiting near the grave for her. Next to them, two  warriors held a battered and tied Lyon, a hunter by the looks of him.Zira walked up to him."What is your name?"The prisoner started, looking up to see another of his kind here, even if she was of the darker variety."Zira? You're still al-"A swing of her paw caught him across the face, claws extended."Your name."He sucked in a sharp breath at the fresh cuts, then spoke."Ingwe. Ingwe Sifu.""A hunter, I suppose?""Yes. They caught me a few miles from the border. On our land.""Any companions?""Dead.""Good. They'll assume the same for you."She turned away, walking to the shamans."They'll be right, soon enough."With a nod from her, they began the ceremony with low chanting in unison. One took out a small drum and began to beat it with a carved bone, Antel by its look. Another began spreading a powder of a ground root over the grave. One held two carved bones, dancing in jerky movements. The last held a chalice of blood, which he slowly poured over the grave. The chant grew in volume until a single sentence could be made out, brimming with rage, anger, and a hint of fear."Chernabog, sisi nitakapopata nafasi. Chernabog, sisi nitakapopata nafasi. CHERNABOG, SISI NITAKAPOPATA NAFASI!"Upon the last chant, a bolt of lightning split the sky, landing directly on Scar's grave. The shamans were still, and stopped their chanting. Nothing happened for a moment. Then, the ground began to move.A clawed, skeletal hand burst from the earth. It was bone white, but as Zira watched, muscle and skin grew over it, forming into a brown furred, leathery hide. The rest of the body soon followed, tearing itself from underneath the ground like a zombie. Which, in fact, was not too inaccurate. It was Scar all right, but more emaciated than she had ever seen him. The skin was loose on him, and she could see his ribs. He looked like a skeleton covered in skin. The warriors pushed the lyon forward as the shamans directed him, but it took all their might, for now Ingwe was pushing back, and roaring in fear until one of the shamans muttered something, sealing his lips. Finally, they got him to Scar, and backed away. The Lyon stared into the undead being's blank, glowing green eyes, which burned with an evil, unnatural light. The prisoner's eyes went wide as he attempted to back away. Not fast enough. Scar's hands moved to fast to see as the giant claws plunged deep into Ingwe, sliding between his ribs. Instead of dripping down, the blood seemed to flow into Scar. Flickers of light, almost like small lightning bolts moved from the dying hunter up Scar's arms. Now Ingwe roared, a strangled, pain filled roar as he felt his life force drain away. Before Zira's eyes, Scar was changing. With every flicker of light, he grew broader, and stronger. Before long, he was more muscular than he had ever been in life, more so even than Mufasa.Certainly enough to take on the boy-king.Scar removed his claws, and the body fell, dead and drained. His eyes flickered for a moment, then seemed to focus. He looked down, setting his gaze on her."Ah, Zira. How I've missed you."She knelt before him, as did the Hyna around her."And I you, my lord."In an instant he was beside her, his hand gentle on her face."You haven't changed a bit, my dear."She accepted the compliment, standing to look at him."You, however, have Sire."He raised an arm, looking over his new body."Indeed. All the better to accomplish the mission.""To avenge your death and tear Simba down?"He chuckled. "In due course, my dear. Soon. But first, there are other matters to attend to."He glared at the two warriors. "You two. Gather two others and meet me at the border. We leave in an hour."Zira looked at him, confused."Where are you going, my King?"A grin split Scar's face."To pay a visit to my King."

Well, would you just look at that?

OOC: Okay, this is my interpretation of what my characters would go through in Toccata and Fugue. This is just my opinion, based on how I felt listening to it. If something's wrong, please tell me.IC: Flyn and Rapunzel stepped through the light, and it seemed they were instantly transported to a place where the physical world was gone, and music reigned, It was a frightening feeling, and the music somehow reflected that. Hearing their feelings reflected by the music frightened them all the more, and the music now seemed terrifying. However... They noticed the change, and grew curious about it. The music suddenly became softer, and the young lovers looked at each other in surprise. The music grew louder again, but still retained a quality that made them think of... Curiosity. This amazed Rapunzel, who adored music of any kind; but frightened Flyn, who was unused to not being in control. This emotional schism seemed to affect the music, which sounded as if it began to battle with itself. The sounds of the diverging music intensified the feelings of the couple, which in turn seemed to affect the music. Flyn and Rapunzel quickly looked at each other, eyes wide as they came to a realization. "It's our feelings!" They cried as one, as the music reached a crescendo. Flyn continued quickly, "Whatever we feel, the music imitates!" Rapunzel's eyes opened wide, and she whispered, "But how does that help us get out...?" The pair fell silent as they realized they didn't know. A feeling of dread rolled over them as they imagined being stuck in a world of neverending, emotion-driven music for the rest of their lives. The tone of the music followed, sinking them even deeper into their dread. Finally, Flyn closed his eyes, held Rapunzel close, and whispered to her: "At least we have each other." An overwhelming sense of love suddenly sprung up inside the blonde teenager, and she wrapped her arms around the stallion that was the object of her love. Flyn felt those feelings as well, holding Rapunzel tight. The music slowly began to fade, then... It changed. And with it, the world around them changed too. The plane where they were standing became the heavens, an expanse of cloud which they were a part of. Bows from stringed instruments flew about, lovely tones emitting from them as they moved. The lovers stood in amazement, still wrapped in each others arms. After a moment, however, their eyes were drawn to something out of place... An old stallion, not far away, who... Seemed to be expecting them. Flyn called out to him; "Hay, you! Who are you? And can you help us, please?"--------------------------------Mother Gothel eagerly took the goblet of blood from the siren, and tilted it back, drinking from it deeply. When she was done, she tossed the goblet aside and wiped the red stains from her lips. "'Mother Superior'... I like it." She said with a snarl. "Now, this... Von Corvus. Where can I find him?"

:kaukau: OOC: I'd just like to say, when I first read Scar's profile and finished the line that said he could be possessed by Churnabog, my first thought was "I'd imagine his body turning black and his eyes turnign white". Then I read a little further and laughed my head off. Serendipity.IC: (Yen Sid, Toccata and Fugue)"I am master of the apprentice," said Yensid. "The Great Sorcerer, I will be hear when I need you. The question is, who are you, Eugene?"IC: (Chernabog)"He can be found in the world named after Snow White, sitting greedily like a weed at his kingdom," said the Siren. The waved her arms, and another mirage appeared out of the steam, depicting the rolling and wooded landscapes of the kingdom, the crags of the mountains, the singing of the dwarves, and finally, the movements of armies. "He is powerful emperor and a sorcerer like us, but he will be easily manipulated, for he is a fool and does not understand what he gets into. He takes on the path of his sister, a fool gone before him, who died of petty envies. She even had a magic mirror enchanted with magical wisdom to guide her and yet she failed to understand her desires. He is an improvement, but in your age you are a deceiver, and it is his destiny that he shall be deceived by you."Know also that even now you are not alone. Scar is coming, and his day of vengeance is near. When next you step into the portal, the rest of the doorways will be reveal, just as the fallen king now knows the face of Fantasia as willed by our Lord of Darkness. You have made a wise choice, Mother Superior, for you have chosen wisdom as well as life."Your Honor,Tyrannosaurus Kraggh Edited by Tyrannosaurus Kraggh

OOC: Ah, thanks for clarifying. My last post was rather rushed, so you probably also missed the point where Yzma and Kronk sank into the newly forming portal. ;)Also, I'd be fine with a path from the Incan Empire leading to London, if it's okay with Kumata.IC (The Emperor's New Groove): The opaque water was now more than halfway up the shelf. Curiously, it did not seem to effect nonliving things, as the shelf did not plunge into nothingness like the former adviser had. Naturally, the two beings perched on that shelf had no time to think about that; they were concerned purely with finding an escape route. Finally Pacha came up with an idea; "Can you reach that chandelier?"Kuzko took a second from his panicking to give Pacha a sarcastic expression. "Of course not, my legs are much too short." Pacha gestured at Kuzko's long, furry neck. "Oh, that."The anthropomorphic llama tried extending his neck, missing the chandelier at first, then managing to grab it in his teeth. He grimaced, both in celebration of his success and in response to the pain in his teeth. He slung a foreleg around the chandelier and extended his other leg toward Pacha. It was just out of reach. The rapidly climbing whirlpool caused them both to panic, Pacha hopping desperately and Kuzko trying to move the chandelier closer by shifting his weight. Finally, hoof made contact with hand, and Kuzko groaned from the exertion of lifting the portly farmer. Encouraged by their momentary success, the duo began shimmying up the rope toward the ceiling as the whirlpool claimed the shelf.

IC: Flyn was shocked and angered by the mention of his true name. He had to bite his tounge to keep a rude retort from escaping his lips. "Only one person uses that name," He said after a moment, "And you're not her." He thought for a monent regarding the question. Normally, that question would have provoked a list of Flyn's accomplishments, but... This old man obviously knew who he was... Perhaps he just wanted to hear Flyn's side. "I... I'm nobody. An orphan turned thief, worthless in the eyes of the world. I care only about one thing, and... She's standing next to me." Rapunzel reached out and took Flyn's hand, looking at the sorcerer. "He's more than that. He helped me, although he didn't have to. We grew close and I saw who he is inside. Eugene is special. I love him."-------------------------------Mother Gothel, now Superior, nodded to the shape if Churnabog. "I assume this 'Scar' will find me, so I'll be on my way then. Snow White's world..." The servant to the monster walked towards the portal, then turned back. "One more thing... I want to be called /Lady/ Superior."

OOC: Sorry Kraagh, I just realised I forgot to answer your earlier question about whether I have Basil's current case mapped out. The anwer is yes, sort of, as I plan to use it to lead into... well, wait and see..Also Keizah, that's perfectly fine with me.IC: After the departure of Yen Sid Basil had resumed his thoughtful pacing, though the expression he wore was now one of frustration, and the puffs he took from his pipe were sharp and erratic. Eventually he flung the boot he held across the room, striking a bookcase and causing its contents to spill across the entire study with a crash."Blast it all! That conjurer's intervention has completely derailed my train of thought! I shall get a lock for that door, Dawson, and none shall be permitted entry whilst I... whilst I..."Basil had paused, his arms midway through clawing at the air in anger. His gaze had swept over one of the books that had fallen to the floor; it was laying open, and a passage upon one of its pages caught his eye. He mouthed something wordlessly, then dived down and snatched up the book. He read and reread the passage."Why, this... heh heh... yes, it... good heavens, Dawson, that's it! How could I have been so short-sighted!"Dawson, who was still recovering from the shock of having his head turned into a donkey's and back, could not have looked more bewildered. Basil sprang toward the coathook, grabbing a deerstalker hat and long brown coat. "Hurry Dawson, we've not a moment to lose!""But why, Basil? Where are we going?""Don't you see, my good fellow? The Baron isn't dead at all! It's all a ruse, a very clever one - but I am certain now that the Baron is in fact alive and being held prisoner! We're off to Garrideb Manor!"Dawson's mouth fell open. "He- what - held prisoner? But by whom?""That is exactly what I intend to find out! Bring your revolver, Dawson - we may have need of it before the night is done..!"

:kaukau: IC: (Yen Sid, Toccata and Fugue)Yensid nodded and closed his eyes. "Your love is but a seed waiting to grow and bloom. Be sure then ot to make it a selfish love, but a benevolent force for the greater good of the people around you."Several additional layers of violin, cello, and bass were added to the swaying rhythm of the fugue, encompassing them in music that grew into a crescendo of complexity. In it they could hear th mysterious ways of his sage mind and a vast array of alien intellect to coceive so much all at once."Welcome to Fantasia," he said, and the surrealism of the music came to a miniature climax, its depth and vision exceeding common everyday notions of harmony. Its notes were so many and so very, very precise, as if in that one statement he meant much, much more, packing his words with meaning."What does that mean?" asked Rapunzel."It means that you are here," said Yensid. "This is the beginnings of the true world, of which the world you know is only a page in a single great work. You value love, now look and see." His eyes still closed, he turned around to face away from them so that all they could see was his long iron gray hair. Somehow it didn't seem rude, as the atmosphere around them suggested that they were to wait, and soon their eyes picked up a halo in the distance of something new coming their way. At the present time it was but a transparent image, like a spirit, but it was nearing them.Somehow they could feel time changing, and they didn't have to wait long, even though it took the oncoming travelers much longer. Yet, when they came, a lion and a baboon, it was as if te four of them, lion, baboon, thief, and princess all had met the wizard simultaneously at the same point in time. Fantasia was taking control of history to ensure itself one pivotal destined event, the crossing of the ways.IC: (Chernabog)From on her perch up in the mountain, the siren smiled as Mother Gothel, Lady Superior, made one final demand. Then Chernabog's hand clutched around her, at first like a cage, and then like a coffin. The cracks in between his fingers burned with flame, and the siren suffered great pain before he let go of her, dropping into strange flames of his thrown. The siren disappeared. The devils, demons, imps, unclean spirits, ghosts and phantoms jeered and laughed at this act of treachery, but recoiled back in fear when Chernabog turned his eye to look at them. With the mortal gone, he now freely leaned down from the veil of steam. As his face came into focus, his minions scurried away. For a while, the Titan of the Night sat alone on his mountain with his hands on his knees and his back stooped over as he looked to the portal down in the graveyard below, waiting for his new general to come and pondering witch who had left on her mission. In his vast mind, worlds of thoughts passed by, contemplating all that was and all that could be. From where he stood he saw all the possibilities of fate and chance and all the paths of hope and fear. His gift of prophecy saw his own destiny and he closed his eyes. How he hated the world.Gothel would make a good high priestess of sorts, if she ever saw herself in those terms. It would be the most natural role once his pantheon of the pit was assembled and needed a group identity. She was old and clever and wise, blessed with foresight and filled with selfish desires. Beyond that, he sensed that she was also a woman of vision and an understanding of whom and what she was dealing with. She knew it was more than just a game and more than just a campaign to find the treasure first. No, she had an instinctive grasp of the big picture. It was good then, in its own terrible way, that he could call her a true servant.Through their belief in him, the Hyna of the Dark Lands had brought him another servant with such an understanding, the cunning and twisted Scar. Chernabog had decided to invest heavily in this one, giving him strength beyond what he had known in life now that Scar was irrevocably on his side of the curtain and counted among the ######. He would be night's chief emissary, in some ways more than one.Cherabog lifted a few goblins from the crevices of the pit and dangled them in his hand. Others curiously peaked out from behind the rocks that sheltered them from his view. With the select unfortunate group, he lifted them up and toyed with them, letting them wander around on the palm of his hand and then dropping them, only to catch them again with his other hand. He held them up to his face and scowled. They held up their arms to block his gaze, and then began dancing in slow, curvy paths, twisting their bodies and humiliating themselves. He used his free hand to cover them, and then pressed both hands together. When he released them, they were turned into pigs. Harpies flew up and clutched them in their talons, then flew away to eat them in the comfort of their own caves. Chernabog smiled. If Scar ever crossed the old man Yen Sid, he would make every use of their connection. It was encounter Chernabog had wanted for a long time. He chuckled, hitting an octave lower than that on any piano, inhuman and hardly recognizable as laughter, but more like the mountain itself was being dragged aross the ground. It echoed throughout the land.Your Honor,Tyranosaurus Kraggh Edited by Tyrannosaurus Kraggh

IC: So far so good. The four warriors from Panthera were leading their charge, the cheetahs and leopards using their speed and agility to outmanoeuvre the bulkier Clan Crocodylus strikers. The only problem was Oviparous' defenders from what used to be House Avis. While full flight wasn't allowed they could still glide and their warrior from Clan Struthio was just as fast as any Panthera. And then there was their savant. Though he'd only mastered one discipline to Kottharaka's two, that discipline was Trecorum and allowed him to send tongues of fire lashing from the braziers that lined the pitch. Kottharaka's Satis powers were of limited use with no body of water to draw upon. This was annoying, as he could see the trap here. House Felis could spare one savant for this that wasn't him, it was another ploy by Ossifragus to remove him. If Felis lost this match, the blame would be placed on Kottharaka and he'd be forced to accept some form of punishment. No doubt a loss of privileges that would conveniently remove him from the Crocuta hierarchy. To stay in the political game, he'd have to win this game. They were one goal ahead for now, but he'd need to keep in control. There was a mighty roar from one of the tigers sent from House Felis itself. The Crocodylus savant had slashed him full on with a burst of flame. As the medics from House Ursus came to carry him off, Kottharaka caught a glimpse of the fallen warrior. It didn't look good. Fire wounds were nasty when you were covered in flammable fur, it was why most Oviparous savants learnt Trecorum. The loss seemed to dishearten the others. The strikers from Oviparous started to push through more often, until the snow leopard goalkeeper was almost constantly under siege. It was only a matter of time before he let one through, then another...Kottharaka bit his lip. Time to start fighting back. He took his stance and gestured with his arms with flourishing motions that, if you'd been paying attention, could be seen to be directed at the ground. One of the basic principles of Naboombu alchemical magic was that everything in the world was made up of the four elements to various degrees. Wood was earth and air which was why it could burn. Metal was earth and fire since it was fire that shaped and forged it. And earth...was just just earth. But it was earth that had been rained on, that remembered the touch of a thousand storms, that cloaked great underground reservoirs. And with his knowledge of De, the power of aether and change, Kottharaka could make the earth remeber that water once again. He grinned as the ground beneath his feet started to squash at it turned to mud, which spread like a pool over the whole pitch. And while it did the strikers for Felis no good, it was worse for the Oviparous strikers. The assorted crocodiles and alligators were heavier, and could only cope with the mud by falling to all fours, where their ball-control was brought down to nothing. With the pressure off the defenders and goalkeeper, team Felis could finally push forward. The Struthio defender had fallen in the mud, its limbs and feathers becoming tangled in the swamp. The Felis strikers managed to score a goal and equalise, but then the Crocodylus savant came back into play. He'd used fire to dry out the ground beneath him and was creating a network of paths and tracks of baked clay. Already two crocodilian strikers were clambered back onto their back feet...No. This needed to be finished. They had equalised, and if they could keep going like this, could reclaim their lead. The savant could not be allowed to interfere. Manipulating the water in the mud, Kottharaka created a slide of sorts, surging forward on a tide of mud. Heading straight for the enemy savant, he summoned a few dozen small drops of water that lanced at the crocodilian alchemist like tiny arrows. They didn't do much to his armoured hide, but they did distract him. No more fireballs at the team, no more pathways. The savant struck out with more lashes of fire, but Kottharaka just slid aside on his surfway of mud. he threw more projectiles at the savant to keep him occupied as he careened at the pitch's border. When the crocodile took his hands from his eyes (the only really vulnerable part of him) he tried to strike at the tide keeping Kottharaka mobile but found no fire answering his call. Kottharaka had extinguished the braziers, there was no source of flame to be controlled. Pupils dilating in panic, the savant dropped to all fours and started powering through the mud to the other side of the pitch, where there were still braziers blazing. But Kottharaka had foreseen that, and been carring out more motions and gestures for the De discipline. This time he swayed the earth more towards fire, fire that melted, vitrified, tempered...The savant was frozen in place as the ground beneath him turned to metal, trapping his limbs. He couldn't have chosen a more unfortunate place to be stuck, right in the middle of the pitch where the vengeful remaining players from House Felis could get a few digs in. The match quickly started to descend into a brawl as the Avis defenders flew forth to defend the battered savant and claw met claw. As the Ursus referee and medics tried to separate the players (with great success, being huge bears thick with muscle) Kottharaka rode forward on his tide, scooped up the ball with a stubby paw and powered forward. As he built up huge momentum he kicked the ball at the goal, almost hoping the Clan Gekkota goalkeeper would try to stop it. The lizard was too smart to risk a broken limb and simply let it past. Seconds later, the referee called time, tired of the teams squabbling. They had done it! They had won the battle for the Royal Pitch!* * * * * * *The teams had withdrawn to their camps, and Oviparous were preparing to withdraw even further than that, the territory now under control of Felis. They could try and reclaim it once the mandatory truce period was over. The three remaining Felis players who had survived the match were mourning the loss of their brother, who's burns had proved fatal. They were viciously saisfied by the fact that the Crocodylus savant would probably not survive his injuries either. Even if he did, someone had clawed his eyes out, he'd never be able to join a match again. And Kottharaka had finally been able to change of that Astaroth-blasted jersey."Congratulations," said the wheedling voice of Kottharaka, "I hear you scored the winning goal.""Yes," he replied, warily, "Yes I did." They had won the match, he couldn't be punished, but his instincts were blaring...there was a trap here somewhere..."Well, as the champion of the Royal Pitch, Prince Ghost believes you deserve a reward." Prince Ghost was a white tiger, current head of House Felis. He was, in Kottharaka's eyes, ineffectual, he enjoyed playing at being a warrior too much and left everything else to his advisors much like the late King Laertes. If he had decided to give Kottharaka a reward it could only be because someone like Ossifragus had told him to... "He believes that, as you have proven yourself so accomplished a warrior, you should be the first to brave the void."Oh codliver. Before he could protest two Crocuta guardsmen had Kottharaka by the armpits and were frogmarching him towards the void at the stadium. He could only grit his teeth and think of home as he was thrown into the white blankness to be disassembled before everyone else's eyes...OOC: Hmm, since he's thinking of his own home rather than a Fantasia destination, would that still affect where he ends up?

IC: The night was dark; the manor even darker. Basil and Dawson had hopped off the broughham they'd used to reach the outskirts of the city, and now they crept through the long blades of grass that covered the lawn leading toward the eerie building."... O'Sullivan would never have been able to find the baron's secret papers, but he realised that he would never have to. O'Sullivan's supposedly reformed friend, who had written the baron's new will, must have informed him that upon the baron's death the papers were due to be passed into the possession of the baron's dear brother. So O'Sullivan concocted a scheme almost too brilliant for his stunted mind; he would fake the baron's death and keep him hidden long enough for the will to go into effect, and for the papers to be passed onto the baron's brother. Then he would discreetly contact the baron's brother with proof that the baron is alive, and demand the papers in return for the baron's safe release! He'd have been out of the country and after the secret treasure before anyone could stop him!"The pair had reached the entrance by now. Gargoyles loomed in the darkness from what seemed like miles up. Basil produced a magnifying-glass from the interior of his coat and, leaning down, quickly studied the exterior as thoroughly as he could. Dawson dutifully remained silent and out of Basil's way, as he always did during these rapid investigations. He was still feeling a little shaken from the activities of the strange conjurer who'd visited them, but now that the experience was fading into memory he was beginning to convince himself that perhaps it had all just been the effects of some powerful drug.Basil pocketed the magnifying-glass. "O'Sullivan's here all right. If he wanted me to have any doubt he should stop smoking those unique Indian cigars. Come along, Dawson, time to enter. Have your revolver at the ready; he may be standing guard.""Right-o," Dawson nodded, drawing his gun. There was a shadowy mouse-hole that served as the entrance into the manor; with as quiet a step as he could he made his way through, Basil close behind...
