The Pyro (From TF2) Posted April 8, 2013 Share Posted April 8, 2013 Okay, so I've been working on a 3D model of Makuta Gorast before she was transformed in the swamps of Karda Nui. It isn't done yet, all I have is the torso, but that, aside from the head, is the first thing on a character that you notice, so I would like some critique on it. I've been trying to get a realistic and movie-style look, so I've been using reference images of a female muscular system and building off of them. Hitoshura Posted April 8, 2013 Share Posted April 8, 2013 I'm not too sure if this is allowed, but I'll still review it. Looks ok so far, but are you aiming for a more humanlike style? IMO it looks too humanlike for a Makuta. Anyways it looks really cool, i like the design of the torso and idk takua, i like the humanized form of makuta. It remind me of the human Kiina, but anyways great work so far and i would love to see the finished product! Also are you gong to but some of her key set features into the model? Like the color scheme, maybe some sort of claw weapon or winged armor? Also, I always felt her wings looked like katanas, so I'm giving her those instead of claws. Granted, she will still have pointy fingertips like Roodaka in WoS. Also, I think I MIGHT give her wings, but either way she will have some way to achieve flight. Also, I have no idea how to use the things you listed, so I guess we're even. Also, I've been drawing in a notebook trying to come up with a concept for an pre-mutated Kanohi Felnas, and I think I got a pretty good one, so maybe in my next post I'll put up a 3D model of that. Lastly, (I've said a lot) I meant to include that not only is she pre-mutation, but she is also before the "evolution", so she will have organic muscle tissue, which is an absolute charm to make (that was a strange mix between utter sarcasm and absolute truth).
