IC - Him - Edge of Le-Koro:

Two Matoran, two Toa,

Together did they run.

Fleeing from the wicked man,

United as one.

Hideaway they sought in the land of wind.

Little did they know that their time was done.

And so it shall be said

That their efforts were for naught;

For though they tried to run,

Soon the men were caught.

O wicked man, wicked man!

What horror has he brought!

He sung this tune in his head as he strode through the jungle, just on the perimeter of Le-Koro. Mask active, movements silenced, He was little more than a shadow drifting through the trees, unseen by the sentries posted in the trees. True, they saw movement--the odd rustling of a branch or bush that should not have rustled--but the assumption seemed to be that it was a snake or some other small animal, for it did obviously was not big enough to be seen. Oh, how little did they know...

Before long, He found what he was looking for: An entryway into the village. A single spot where the guard was weak, where suspicion was lowest. He waited, watching, listening for the way to clear. And as soon as it was, He stepped forward, moving swiftly to the trees across from him, below the suspended village. Above lay the platforms that housed Le-Koro, Village of Air.

Above lay the way.

For a moment, he simply observed the branches above. Then, inconspicuously as possible, He began to climb, digging his metallic fingers into the bark, climbing higher, higher toward the village, focused on the quiet voices that sung down to him like an angelic chorus, promising a finished hunt...

He arrived at the top. With a flip, He emerged, slipping over the railing and onto the platform. Huts surrounded Him on every side, houses mostly unoccupied as their inhabitants went about their daily routines. Nearby, several residents of the village talked amongst each other, of subjects that did not catch His interest. Were it another day, He might have taken the opportunity to take them. As things stood, however, He had other business to attend to, another Matoran to make disappear.

Another day, another time. He would be back; that much was certain.

Deactivating His mask, he emerged from an alley and into a busier section of the village. Remaining on the peripherals of the crowd, He listened to the villagers speak, listening for a hint, a comment, anything that would lead him to the man he sought. All the while the busy men and women and children remained unaware of the true nature of the seemingly innocuous Toa among their number...

IC (Weta): That was worrying news for Weta. There was something out there with evil intent, and it knew them, but they did not know it. Weta had seen his share of crazy villains, and in his experience, you were best to take their threats seriously, no matter how unlikely they seemed. There was always the chance, after all, they they were for real can could back up their claims.

"We should stay here then" Weta said. "If they have intent to harm this Matoran but their whereabouts in unknown, we'll need to be in our guard. If they lost you in the forest, they could already be have followed us here to the village."

IC (Weta): "That's a sensible idea" Weta agreed with the Matoran. "How about you go and do that now? I'll stay here in case the thing does come. Since we don't what he might do, I'll keep a look out for any signs of invisible beings around here, and even if somebody is visable, I'm not letting them in here unless I personally know they're trustworthy or part of the Gukko Force - preferrably both."

IC: Syrva

Syvra smiled brightly as he heard this.

"Well now that we have gotten rid of your inconveniant concern for matoran we can truly begin. I think we should try and find a few beings who share our feelings. Those who were loyal to makuta. From there we will have to decide."

OOC: Yes. IC (Weta): "Good luck, Viima" Weta called after him. With the Matoran gone, he went back to studying the area for magnetic anomalies that could indicate that the thing had come.

OOC: Sorry I wasn't posting, it was late at night where I am.IC - Orderin: Orderin walks over to the edge of the village and stares out searching for any sign of movement.

IC: Litozen"Well, if we're looking for other followers, where could we look? I highly doubt walking by the shadow standard is going to gain much favour." He looked just out of the alley, at the Koro, where everyone was doing their usual routines. From the outset, nobody looked particularly suspicious or like they were followers. "I'm sure there must be somewhere they congregate, or used to."

OOC: Celite from Ga-WahiIC: CeliteThe Vo-Turaga took her time in her journey with Surina. After all, it was no easy trek to get to Le-Wahi all the way from Ga-Wahi. After only a few minutes in the Jungle Place, it was safe to say she did not enjoy the marshland and swampiness of the jungle area.

"Are we close to the Koro, yet?" She said, frustrated.

He too looked out at the alley and smiled

IC: Kohu

Meanwhile, at the end of the alley in which Litozen and Syvra were talking, Kohu was hiding. He couldn't hear a word they said - apparently he wasn't mistaken in thinking Litozen was a Toa of sonics - but the expressions on their faces and the fact that they didn't want him to overhear implied something suspicious. And earlier, what was it one of them had said? A 'Dark Subject'? Something was very fishy about these two, and Kohu was determined to find out what.

They hadn't spotted him yet, so he had two options: Get captured by them and hopefully evade death or severe punishment long enough to find out what they were up to, or go and fetch someone higher up in the food chain to beat it out of them. It only took a moment to decide the former was infinitely more fun.

So, he waited.

IC Surina

Le-Wahi, Path to Le-Koro):

"Shouldn't be too far", Surina replied. "I'm glad the path has been cleared. When the Makuta was in power, this place was probably filled with infected Rahi."

After some while, the pair could see the famous tree that supported the entire village of Le-Koro. Although it was near impossible to see, Surina knew that up above there were huts made of branches, vines and leaves.

"See? There's the elevator", Surina said, pointing to the cocoon-like lift used to get up to the village. "When we find him, be sure to stay incopicuous. It would seem weird if we both wanted something from him."

IC: Litozen"Hm...yes, I do overlook that option. But then there's the matter of doing that and--" He stopped for a moment. Something didn't quite feel right, like he was on edge. He gave an odd look before turning to face Syvra once more. "...is it me," he began, "or does it feel like we're being spied on?"IC: CeliteCelite nodded as she walked to the elevator. "Very well. I'll keep my distance for the time being and follow you with a safe distance. Though I'm afraid I can't do much if we catch trouble here." Once inside the elevator, she waited for it to go up. "Such a useful thing for those of us who can't climb." She said happily.

IC Viima & Surina

(Le-Koro):

Surina and Celite got out of the lift and found themselves at the town square center of Le-Koro. Le-Matoran were all over the place, chattering loudly as they always had done.

"The guy I'm looking for is named Viima", Surina said. "He might not be here at all. He's a hunter and spends a lot of time out in the jun- Mata Nui, there he is!"

Surina pointed at a blue and green Matoran wearing an Akaku, walking hurriedly towards the hut of Akiri Kongu, leader of Le-Koro.

"I have a plan", Surina said. "Wait here while I go talk to Viima. In the middle, come to me, pretend you're a stranger, and tell us that you need help getting back to Ga-Koro." Without waiting for a reply, Surina raced to meet her past love.

"Hi Viima!"

Viima was already at the door of Kongu's hut, but turned at the sound. Surina. He had hoped never to see her again.

"Surina", Viima said. "What are you doing here?"

Surina had already planned what she was going to say. "I'm in great danger, Viima. I need your help."

"Danger?" Viima replied. "Why are you asking me for help? Our thing is over, Surina. It's been over since you stepped on my heart and left it shattered."

Surina, being a master of manipulation, had no trouble conceiving tears. "I'm sorry for all I did to you", Surina sniffed. "You don't know how many nights I have dreamt on about you, but always knowing I was responsible for our break-up."

Viima felt his heart sink. The trap was spun.

IC: Celite

So this is what she meant by be prepared for the unexpected. Celite sighed with a smile beneath her Rau and did as instructed; she waited for just the right moment. She ensures that she looked like she was merely admiring the sites, all the while keeping an eye on the two Matoran. At what seemed to be the right moment, she slowly walked towards the ex-couple, acting as polite as she could. "Excuse me, my dears." She said, her voice sounding slightly more aged than usual, "But I need some assistance in returning to my home in Ga-Koro. Would you be able to escort me?" She gave a light bow to emphasise her request.

IC Viima & Surina

(Le-Koro):

Viima was puzzled to see a Turaga come asking for help. Surina stood silent, wishing for Viima to answer Celite's request. No point in appearing prepared for this, after all.

At first Viima didn't understand why the Turaga would ask them, but realized that it was the presence of a Ga-Matoran that had probably promopted her to do so.

"I... I'm sure we could...", Viima stammered. Surina chose that moment to seize the opportunity.

Wiping off her tears, she said "I need you to come to Ga-Koro, Viima... I really need your help there. Please, we can escort this nice Turaga home in the side. What do you say Vii, please?"

"I have to see the Akiri of Le-Koro for something very important", Viima said. "After that, I can think about it."

IC: Celite

This could be troublesome..."The Akiri, you say..?" Even when trying to seem like a complete stranger, Celite was unable to hold back curiousity as to why Viima needed to discuss anything with the Akiri of this village. After all, such meetings had to be important, and if this Matoran were to get involved in anything too far, it could cause problems later. She gave a cautious look to Surina, if only brief, and then decided to try guilt-tripping Viima. "Very well. I shall wait out here, on my own. Honestly I thought Le-Matoran were respectful to their elders..." The last part of her sentence was intentionally muttered, though kept audible in the least.

IC Viima & Surina

(Le-Koro):

Surina got Celite's hint and was pleased to see that she too knew the ways of manipulation. They would be an effective team, she was sure.

Viima was obviously troubled. "Look, I am sorry", Viima said. "But I just encountered an invisible loonatic and I need -"

"Invisible loonatic?" Surina sputtered on purpose. "I guess it's true then, Viima... you will do anything to avoid us. Making up stories like that. Not only do you keep reminding me of my past actions which I regret, but you also put aside the needs of a Turaga. By Mata Nui Viima, I remembered you as having wise priorities."

"This - this'll only take a minute...", Viima tried to explain. Surina pressed on.

"That's what you've always said", she countered. "But I remember how many hours that minute might take. Please, Viima... you can always talk to an Akiri, but Kongu is just a Matoran. I thought a gentleman takes the concerns of women and the elderly first..."

Viima was a ferocious fighter, a skilled tracker and an unexceptionally good hunter. But one of his greatest weaknesses was emotion. He did not have the capabilities to process such an onslaught of pure feelings.

"Fine... fine!" Viima said. "Ok, I'm sorry, I mean... that guy could be dangerous but..."

"Say no more, Viima", Surina said. "You are forgiven... right?"

Surina gave a smile at Celite's direction. Things appeared to be going their way, after all.

"Well, Surina haves problems with a stalker and Turaga Celite needs help getting back to Ga-Koro", Viima explained. "I promise I won't forget our task Orderin, but... it's the right thing to do to help women out first."

Surina did her best not to show a grin. The presence of a Toa worried her slightly though, especially if he was the foolishly noble type.

IC: Kehuri

The Toa of Earth, eyes sweeping the air in thought, got up and placed his hands on the table. "Yes.... Yes!..." He spoke to the others without looking up or even changing his tone, the words bubbling out of his mouth without control, "All the Koros are tense. I saw it w-when I ran maintenance on Ko's wind turbines and Le's chutes. Th-they're afraid of each other. They're ready to jump at the slightest sign... of provocation."

He stepped away from the table and went to the bar counter, still staring slightly downward at nobody. This idea was crazy, utterly insane, but it just might do it. "I might be worrying ab-about nothing, it might just be a phase that'll pass without conflict, but..." He glanced at the others before staring into space again, "We... You're fighters. A Koro-Neutal army. If you s-stay that way, spread your influence around, gather more members, establish bases in other Wahi, like... Ihu-Koro and such... A compl-- politically neutral attack force... arbitrating the... hostilities, would be easier."

He made eye contact now as he spoke, looking briefly at Kethrye, but then moving to and staying on Plagia and Atox, "The Koros could begin to fear us..." he shook his head at his slip-up "You, more than each other..." He bit his lip for a second before continuing slowly, "What if... the ILF became the villains? Fear united the villages once. They n-need to see that Unity is worth more than power... or pride..." He suddenly blushed, realizing he'd just spilled the entirety of the most insane idea he'd ever had to a bunch of people, the majority of which he barely knew, and should rightfully not even acknowledge him after his quitting. "I mean... I'm not in the ILF anymore, and it's not my place or preference to take the lead, it's just an idea, but I'd be willing to help out and re-join for it." If he'd been talking quickly before, that sentence broke the sound barrier.
