  1. Out comes the Multiversity of California. In goes garbage.
  2. Definitely sounds interesting. I'll keep an eye open.
  3. That seems to be the general atmosphere, upon investigation. I won't bother dusting off my character list then, but good to drop by and be certain about it.
  4. Hello everybody. Been a long long time I know, but I got to reminiscing about BZPRPG and thought I'd drop in and see what the projected status is. Is there enough activity left to be worth joining in again? What Important IC Events have occurred? EDIT: Actually, what Important Events period have occurred??
  5. NOTICE -- As a few of you might have noticed (or perhaps I flatter myself), I've been becoming increasingly more prone to bouts of inactivity since this spring, and by now I'm down to one (inactive) character and so I'm not going to prolong the charade any longer. Due to IRL changes and goings-on, I'm withdrawing myself from the BZPRPG for the foreseeable future. My one character who's still sort of involved in anything, Hammerlock, will go MIA in the Mangaia during the Rahkshi skirmish he is presently participating in. And so that clears up that single loose end. Also I'd like to thank you all for the opportunity to roleplay here. I've had a great couple years in the BZPRPG, and I've made a lot of memories. It's been a grand time for me, and I feel privileged. Thanks so much! Special thanks also to Geardirector in particular, who took me under his wing and helped me get started in my months as a newbie, and has been a just generally wonderful person since then. You rock, man. Keep up the good work, wherever life takes you. And in closing, thanks a third time to this special, special community. Keep on dreaming; it's a precious skill in a hard cold world. Fare ye well, every one, and best of luck in all your worthy endeavors. Shadowhawk, signing off.
  6. Just a quick notice; due to IRL stuff I won't have time to participate in any G&T activities for a while. Might be gone a couple weeks or more. Farewell till then --
  7. *noisy applause* Great game, folks. Fun times; I enjoyed it. And many thanks, fishers, for hosting: you did an awesome job. See y'all next time~~
  8. I still don't understand what's going on here, and I'm too lazy to figure it out.
  9. The Canonization Proponents, the Theorist, and the Forum Leader are all village aligned. Bumping this for reference. The Theorist is confirmed to be village-aligned.
  10. Fellow villagers, do you see this? This is called divisionary tactics. What these fine community members are drawing a line. A line between us, and them. They see themselves as 'enlightened' folks, people who believe they are 'better' than the 'sheeple' as they so dismissively describe us. Now friends, who would stand to gain by turning villagers against each other? We must be united, one. If ten of us together say that Underscore was guilty, then who's to say he wasn't? Why, because some forum leader declares them innocent does it mean they truly are? Nay, we our the captains of our souls, we create our own reality. Only then will we be able to stand against those who seek to divide us. This all sounds awfully suspicious to me. Voting Ta-metru_defender.
  11. OOC: Apologies for the delay. Also, Hammerlock's foreign tech is a secret no longer and his profile's been updated to reflect that. IC: You don't want to know what the inside of my musclebound skull looks like in the grip of uncontrolled fury. And I'm not gonna tell you the details. You don't want to know. But red mist, aye? More like ###### ###### crimson. The gears turn slowly, bogged down and grinding in a roaring crackle of lunatic berserker rage, but my eyes move and the neurons fire and the... gears... turn... Volin's bleeding out all over the floor and I don't give a ###### in Karzahni, not even a little one. I've seen people die before. I've seen them bleed and gasp and scream and choke on it until they stopped moving or I smashed their faces with my boot heel. And I didn't give a ###### then either. But the Rahkshi's there, with his back turned, white armor a blazing taunt in the shadows, and ###### it I've got a ###### of a bone to pick with him. I'm ###### ###### off. Nobody grabs the Hammerlock by his ###### thick neck and gets away with it. No ###### body. ... I hurl myself straight into him from behind, snarling deep in my throat, so fast only a ###### god or a miracle could ever hope to react and my upper body ripples sideways as I move, my clenched right fist slashing diagonally downwards as if to carve the monster's exposed right hip joint ###### straight in half only there's no sword in the fist-- as it descends-- --and then less than a second before impact, just in time, there is. The air vibrates with the sudden snap and roar of ozone and a stark white flash strobes across my vision and I feel an explosion of power channeling through that clenched right hand as a three-foot blade of lightning bursts to life on my fingertips and bares its jagged fangs against the world. Welcome back, old friend. And it's moving, this devil, this weapon, moving with me as I blur into the stroke and my muscles hum with exertion. So fast I can't see it, so fast-- so fast the fluxing semi-solid particles split the sound barrier and the ugly crack sings loud against the dark. And someone's laughing, hard and cold and just a bit ###### insane. It might be me. I am drunk with speed and fury.
  12. woo woo looks awesome I'll take slot 21, please.
  13. OOC: Sorry for the delay; been busy and sort of forgot about this. Anyhow, back to battle! IC: Situated as I am, more or less safely on the outer fringes of Peho's elemental flame attack, I am essentially unaffected by the blast. My armor is enough to negate any actual damage; a quick, instinctive shielding movement of my left forearm protects my eyes. Toshiko isn't quite so lucky; the Vortixx's sharp cry of pain is enough to tell me that. But I dare not shift my attention too much away from the vague shifting mirage that is the Chameleon Rahkshi. When it halts, I point at it with my knife. "He's right... there. Not movin'. Peho, you could try--" “Guys!" ###### "--another blast, just like that, and Toshiko keep your eyes on the ######! I'll cover Volin!" As I bark these 'suggestions', I'm already pivoting into a blue-and-grey blur of motion, head down muscles humming legs driving at the stone, a tightly-controlled rush of crackling speed that has me back across the combat zone and at Volin's side in seconds. I don't in any way intend to go on the offensive at this point; I'm just hoping for a solid defensive counteraction. The main idea here is to help blunt the Anger Rahkshi's momentum with my own, just enough (and for just long enough) to allow Volin and I an orderly withdrawal into safer territory and a bit closer to our allies.
  14. IC: I take a quick step back and fall on guard alongside Toshiko, flexing my gloved knuckles to make sure nothing's seriously damaged. There'll be moderate bruising, of course, but between armor and skill I daresay I've sustained no hurt. Next time, though, I'll aim to leverage and immobilize using grappling techniques. No straight contact blows with the fists; only with boot and armored shoulder, maybe. Perhaps a knife stroke, if I get a chance at a weak spot. Rahkshi armor is every bit as solid as I expected. My eyes dart quickly about, using both focus point and peripherals to scan the situation. Obviously the red-and-gold Rahkshi comes equipped with some sort of cloaking ability, as it's now vanished in the omniscient shadow... but not permanently, I daresay. We've dealt it no real damage; it'll keep trying. I glance to my right, then the left. Invisibility? ...perhaps Darkness? And now there it is... a flicker in the haze, a fleeting outline and then pow... yeah, okay, looks like Chameleon to me. As the Chameleon Rahkshi seizes its opportunity and attacks Peho, I in turn pivot and lunge and again bore in on its flank. But not too closely, not yet, not until I have an opening. I don't want to get in the way of Peho's imminent defensive stroke.
