  1. Yes indeed; it would be quite unfortunate for a fictional character to take off your head.
  2. IC: (Sucogu) The sound of a sword hitting the ground interupted Flynn. "Sir," he said to Tyrus, "this man has admitted to crimes, has been seen committing crimes, and has implicated intentions to commit future crimes. On my honor as a Ga-Koroan, I must insist that you apprehend him in the name of justice and the well-being of Ga-Koro." His eyes pleaded with the man, and in his words he displayed to the marine that he did not wish to circumvent his authority, whilst firmly standing his ground.
  3. I think a little retconning would do no harm to your character; it certainly wouldn't do any harm to anyone else's.
  4. IC: (Sucogu) SHRING! 'Oh, you're perfectly understood," spoke a voice behind Flynn, tone calm and slightly amused. In the Toa's hand was a longsword, the point of which was just barely tapping Flynn's shoulder. Suddenly, the electricity around his sword abandoned the blade and grounded, dispelling into the dirt. "Now son," Sucogu threatened, "you put your sword down and run away from here as fast as your stubbed little legs will carry you. Or I will behead you for threatening this fine Lesterin."
  5. I'm sure we'll give you the benefit of the doubt and let that slide.
  6. >why not discuss this >in the topic based on what the hype is about
  7. IC: (Damek) Damek checked his watch. "Hmm...yes, I believe I have time to dissect why what you said makes no sense." Silo heard a loud screeching noise from behind his back as Damek dragged a chair over- might as well lecture comfortably. "First off: your delusions of grandeur are nothing in the sight of the Ussalry. We deal with would-be assassins every day. Karz, we deal with actual assassins quite commonly. Our village was the only one which caught it's Turaga's assassin. Whenua- may he rest in peace -was incinerated so terribly that he had no corpse. And the assassin was in our cells within the hour. What makes you think we're so desperate to find the utter failures who sent you after Casanuva?" He leaned back in his chair. "And no, for the record, your claim that my proposal was illegal is untrue- criminals who have not committed murder, merely attempted and assaulted, can have their sentence lessened given they provide usual information in seizing their fellow criminal. Also known as the 'snitch' program. However, I can see that I will get nowhere with you," the scraping returned as he dragged the chair to its normal position, "I have other matters to attend to." With that, he headed down the hallway to the Phantom's cell.
  8. IC: (Damek) "They are your masters," he insisted, "for they convinced you to make a fool of yourself at the mercy of the Onu-Koroan law, a law to which you did not prevail. Oh, they are your masters, indeed, for they have dictated your actions far more than you did." A voice came from down the hall. "Onu-Matoran are allergic to fresh air," "I would not say so," Damek replied to the Phantom, "just of the pieces of feces who abide in it." The Onu-Matoran chuckled. "Luckily we have prison cells for such fools." "As for you...no." He turned back to Silo. "I will not be party to you hairbrained escape attempts the second we get above ground. Either you tell me where to find them, and your sentence is lessened, or you get very familiar with living with us stubby-legged folk for awhile." He leaned back, giving an honest shrug. "Your choice."
  9. IC: (Damek) The Onu-Matoran shrugged, sliding the blade back into its sheath. "Alas, the blade has long since lost its edge," he condeded, a mischievous grin appearing on his face. He put his hands behind his back. "I would advise against fearing your masters more than myself. If your pathetic display of combat ability is any sign of your master's, I will single-handedly take them down. And if I don't, my squadron will rip them to bits, burn the bits to ashes, and scatter the ashes across the sands of this island."
  10. Kinda bummed out honestly, I thought I had a solid entry. Congrats to those who won- I'll always have hope for a future contest.
  11. IC: (Damek) Damek's lips tightened, but his countenance was overall affable. His was however, visibly displeased with Silo's answer. He placed his hands together, steepled fingers set to his chin. He need not flash his teeth, for his stare bore fangs of its own. And yet he spoke with the voice of a friend, calmly but firmly as if reconciling a child. "I don't believe that. No, I don't believe that at all." He withdrew from the bars a bit, having been inches from them and now a few feet back. From his coat he drew a thin blade, shaped akin to a needle, but the size of a small sword. The hilt was embedded with green gems which possessed an emerald glow. The tip of the blade was terrifyingly pointed, and it was evident that the weapon had seen combat. "Do you know what this is?" A moment of silence gave Silo a chance to think. "Beyond the obvious, of course. This blade was forged in the heart of a Ko-Koroan mountain. At the Le-Koroan Hive Battle, it slew thirty-seven Nui Rama. When Rahkshi rose from the depths to attack Onu-Koro, it tore threw their lines in the defense of its city. All this while resting in the palm of my hand. So, before it once again meets the flesh of my enemy, tell me who your employer is, and where I can find him.
  12. IC: (Damek) "No one's there." Damek had appeared from seemingly nowhere, standing just outside the cell with his hands behind his back. "We've isolated you for questioning."

  14. To be quite honest, at first view these didn't strike me as particularly interesting or unique, but as I took a look at the details (Jaller's ghost left arm, Kongu's various pistons and gears) I really developed an appreciation for your styling. The first drawing somewhat reminded me of a comic book cover, and pulling off a sense of action occurring in a still shot can be difficult, but you did so flawlessly. Heck, I'd put one on my wall if I saw one in a store. Overall, fine work. My only real critique is the awkwardness of Kongu's stance- it looks like one of his legs is over the other, and his upper body is twisted in response. Somewhat of an off-kilter archery position, but this wasn't very noticeable and doesn't do much to detract from what is overall a quality picture.
  15. OOC: One-man march? I'm hurt ;_; IC: (Kol) From across the deck, the Onu-Matoran slashing his way to the wheel heard a name he hadn't heard audibly in months: Hiemalis. (Well, technically "Hie-mal-iz" but that is neither here nor there) "Heard o' mah faht with Hie-mal-iz?" Gavarm asked, to which he wished to reply an indignant "you heard of mine?" but did not, for in the context this would not have made sense to Gavarm, who knew not of Kol's true identity. Thwap! The ordeal had distracted him, leaving him open to attack. The pirate he'd been at arms against had disarmed him of his saperka- this was overall a fortunate outcome, for had the two been any closer Kol would've lost his head. Stay focused. He ducked under the buccaneer's next swing of the blade, lunging forward and into the Toa's knees. Through a series of grappling forms, he displayed the manner in which the mighty fell- in the instance, starboard. Retrieving the pirate's sword, he continued brawling his route to the ship's wheel.
  16. OOC: Why wouldn't he have been put in a Le-Koroan hospital, and why in the world would he not be guarded or strapped down? I'm sorry, but that post in entirely illogical my friend. IC: (Damek) Unfortunately for Silo, Damek had removed his mask upon arrest, and he was locked in his room, his gravity powers heavily drained from constant usage, and his body physically strained from the large hole in his shoulder. He wasn't going anywhere any time soon.
  17. IC: (Damek) "You'll get it," he said in response to Silo's question. He returned to his Ussal, perusing the travel bags for medical supplies.
  18. IC: (Damek) "Find honest work," the Guardsman said to Silo, "your line of work is a quick path to self-destruction. Trust me, I would know," he said with an aura of shame, his gaze falling to the ground. Damek turned his attention to Otana. "Well, as long as you have the necessary qualifications and have no significant criminal charges, Onu-Koro is always new recruits." Finally, the Matoran looked up at Casanuva, who was twice his size, and gave a affirmative nod. "You may speak to him. Watch yourself, my friend, I wouldn't put it past him to pull a trick on you and escape, even now."
  19. IC: (Damek) "Your job happens to be in violation of the law," Damek said firmly, beginning to slide handcuffs onto Silo's wrists.
  20. If you've taken the time to join a Bionicle forum and still take the time to be active four years after its discontinuing, go ahead and be excited about it
  21. I wouldn't mind a prequel, quite honestly. There was so much unexplored lore from the earlier years that never got fully touched on. Or alternatively, a reboot from the 2001 story that didn't include the insanity that was the Mata Nui robot.
  22. I think it's similar to how many Toa's names were phonetically "smooth" (ie. Lewa, Tahu, Gali) while villains had "hard" syllables (ie. Morbuzahk or however it's spelled) which kind of subconsciously lets you know who is good and who isn't. Of course, this changed when it came to the later years, with good guys named "Gaaki" and baf guys named "Spiriah" but on some level there was a common theme.

  24. OOC: just a reminder: OOC-only posts are not allowed in the BZPRPG. :/ Sorry, I know it feels like I'm jumping down your throat with all these regulations. IC: (Damek) From his position laying on the ground, Damek had practically no way to dodge the bolt. All he could do was put his head down and hope for the best... SNAP! The oakwood bolt, weakened from already puncturing one set of metal, and now hitting an even more heavily armored being, splintered into pieces like a piece of glass. "Karz." He felt the spot at his back where the bolt had made impact, his hand meeting a shard of oakwood, sticking up out of a chink of his armor. This was no big deal- it had barely broken his skin thanks to the heavy armor his squadron wore. Rather minor, really. His opponent, however... "He needs immediate medical attention," he shouted before leaping up and running over. "He removed the bolt, now there's nothing to keep the blood in."
  25. OOC: Silo, I realize you're new to this, so I by no means wish to reprimand you with the following words. I would simply request that you keep these things in mind: -Autohitting is where you cause a derogatory action to automatically happen to your opponent, without them getting a chance to counter, and it's not allowed. Several instances here (knocking Damek off of his Ussal, grabbing Nunonu's neck) are basic examples of autohitting. Since I doubt you meant to break this rule I won't ask you to edit it out or demand you be punished- and I imagine the other two players will do the same. -Unrealistic dodging is exactly what it sounds like, and is also foul play in the BZPRPG. For example, Damek was behind Silo when he fired the bolt. Would Silo jumping back not merely make the bolt hit him quicker? Again I'm letting it go as you likely didn't know you were breaking a rule. No worries, I'm not angry or offended, I just don't want you to run into a hothead who blows something like autohitting out of proportion and gets angry at you. IC: (Damek) As Silo was distracted, Damek fired a crossbow bolt with ace accuracy at the back of the assassin's knee. A strike like that would likely take him out of the fight for good.
