  1. Lemon metallic/Dark green Kraata have laser vision according to the "wild Kraata colors" chart. As Rahkshi they are red-orange. Laser vision is one of the many Rahkshi that were not sets.

Ah, well then I have to concur with the others here that there is no connection. Shadow wasn't considered evil until the Makuta showed their true colors, and Gavla is not very...nice...for a Matoran of Light. So there might be no direct link between light, lasers, and morality.
  2. Not sure about Dark Mirror, from what I remember at its end the rioting had gotten way out of control. And such a wide scale rebellion could easily create a Great Disturbance, or even a Great Cataclysm. But since I am writing an epic about Dark Mirror suffering a GC I might be biased.

  3. Nice to see the original civilian heroes, even if the images are on the blurry side. I have no room to complain though since every time I try to take a picture of sets it is incredibly smudged. Regardless good work on the Matoran, it is easy to identify who is who, except for that Po-Matoran and that Onu- Matoran of course.

lol. Yeah, I wish someone could make a game moderator to fix the Hafu Taipu conundrum. Just wondering, are you the awesome guy who made Spiriah Rayg sprites?
It's both a blessing and a curse for Bionicle, a simple change of mask can create a whole new character. Not unless I have a second personality that actually has skills with computers.I think Kapura had the mask of strength when on Metru Nui, at least according to BS01, but I am not sure if he still had it on 2001.
  4. I don't think there was anything about that in the TV series, so I don't regard it as canon. :P Theoretically they could become all sorts of things. I think in one of the books or radio shows (or something. One of the non-TV sources) they become the most peaceful race in the universe. That's not impossible for the Cybermen, though it would make a very dull story. They definitely need their own series, though I fear if they get one I'll only be annoyed when they deviate even slightly from what I consider to be the 'core concept' of the Cybermen which, as I explained, is a foolish thing to do since they have the potential to change and be radically different from their traditional view. Well, what good has making sense ever done anyone? :P Nevertheless, I expect them to be a threat worthy of the entire galaxy forming an alliance to destroy them (though ideally without involving some sort of ridiculous galaxy/universe/reality destroying bomb), because that did happen.

Yeah, I see the significance as that the Cybermen have the potential to stop fighting others, while there is no hope for the Daleks. If the Doctor really tried, he might be able to use logic to stop a cyber attack. But Daleks will not stop until all are dead. After which the Daleks would become really depressed and purposeless with no one to kill. Yeah, one must be careful with keeping the cast IC. That is why we can't see any more Weeping Angels, at least as the main villains. They aren't adaptable enough to use frequently without changing their stats.
  5. Anyone else find it weird that those Cybermen were basically just humans stuck inside a suit of armour with their emotions turned off? I thought it was a human brain in a robot body or something...

Cybus 'cybermen' are brains in suits. The original Mondasian Cybermen (and various off-shoots) were the result of a human-like race that, very slowly, began replacing their limbs, organs etc. with mechanical components and eventually took it to the logical extreme. They're a mesh of organic and cybernetic parts, so it's not as clear-cut as just a person or a brain in a mechanical suit. Open a Cyberman up and it'll probably be all kinds of funky. I think Craig's conversion was mentioned as being 'stage 1'. My interpretation of that is that it's a preliminary (perhaps emergency, given the state they were in) process that would make him functional, but not fully converted.

I personally preferred Pete's World Cybermen, because they were the race the Doctor thinks has so much potential. The need to assimilate, to dominate, to convert; these are all human behaviors.

I agree, it's a really good idea. My only problem with it is them being called Cybermen. They're not. The Mondasian Cybermen's primary motivation is to survive by any means necessary, This means expanding, converting other species and eliminating ones that pose a threat. The method they came up with for survival is 'make sure nothing else can pose a threat' which basically means conquer everything. They believe organic life is weak, limited by emotions and is 'not to be trusted'. Unlike the Daleks, they believe progress and change are good things if they will benefit the Cyber race and are not on a quest to eliminate all other life because it's different. Because they think logically, it is theoretically possible to reason with the Cybermen (though rarely in practise). You could, theoretically, convince them that conquering the universe is not the best option, though you would probably need 100 Doctors all being super-persuasive each backed up by a significant threat to even begin to make any headway on that front. In case you didn't notice, I kind of like the Cybermen. :P
Agreed, didn't classic who indicate that the classic Cybermen would eventually ascend to another plane? Or was that not canon? Either way, the Cybermen need their own season. One could argue that series 2 was a Cybermen/Torchwood season, but the climax was stolen by the Daleks. The Daleks were like an afterthought, and they didn't even see the Cybermen as a threat.
  6. I chose Amazon for the first choice, why did I miss out on those great colors? I remember when I first encountered him and the other original Slizers, back in the BZPower epic entitled Slizers on Mata-Nui. Yeah, I completely missed out on the Slizers when they were in stories. Don't think that I don't regret it.

  7. Tiger and Bunny's a good one. Superheroes who are driven by corporation interest and whatnot. Though I think it's fine, CG might not be to your liking. Persona 4's anime is also just starting, and it looks pretty good so far. I'd also recommend Fate/Zero.

I will have to check out Persona 4, I had forgotten it was out yet. Though I am not sure if it will be as hilarious as the Persona 4 Comic dub.
  8. Definitely wasn't a fan of the overuse of alternate dimensions. Heck, I was beginning to get bored with it by The Kingdom, Dark Mirror was really the only time I thoroughly enjoyed it. I get what you guys mean by Hahli's mask as an Inika, but I can forgive that on account of the fact that she never really used it to find the Mask of Life, and it was put to much better use communicating with Matoro in spirit form. However, the one thing that drove me nuts was the hand wave that the human-level intelligence and culture of the characters from the first eight years was a completely random glitch. I have a hard time believing they developed themselves to that level by complete accidental happenstance. Especially since there was that really great quote from Antroz in Shadows in the Sky about how the Great Beings blessed the Matoran with passion, even if misguided (in his opinion). I felt like that really spoke to the character of the Matoran as a whole. My frustration was equally doubled when it was revealed that Vakama's visions were another completely random glitch, after they spent a whole movie playing up his confidence on NOT being cross-wired (which turned out to be exactly his problem).

Well 100,000 years passed from Mata-Nui's creation to 2001, that is plenty of time for corruption of data to spread and develop. It didn't have to happen all at once. But yeah, if the Matoran learn of this I think their egos will take a major dive. On the matter of Vakama, it may seem cheating him of development but it makes more sense than just random destiny. I see his glitch, and others like Kapura's, as "genetic mutations."
I'll give you Kapura, but I Vakama still doesn't sit well with me, if only because it seems he didn't start getting visions until around when Lhikan gave him a Toa stone, rather than his whole life. Plus, it's known Mata Nui was directly responsible for their creation by planting their names in Makuta's mind, who in turn planted them in Lhikan's, so I couldn't help but think that direct action from Mata Nui was connected with sending Vakama visions himself, as was implied in 2004. I guess what really bothered me about the other thing was that, from the start, Lego seemed to go out of their way to specify that these characters were NOT robots, they were living, biomechanical people with spirits and personalities and feelings and pretty much human in every way except appearance and anatomy, and then toward the very end it's, "Nope, they were never meant to be that, and what they are is just a result of a random, cosmic glitch." Just seems to go back a little on what they said in the first place, I suppose. EDIT: To the above post, I thought the Toa Metru brought the masks the Mata searched for from Metru Nui and hid them before becoming Turaga?
The more I think about it the more you have a point about the nature of Matoran intelligence. For instance, our own Takua is the first Matoran ever created, yet he clearly has a distinct personality. Not to mention that as seen in Takuanuva's vision, the Toa Mata had vivid personalities even 100,000 years ago. Maybe the glitch gave them the ability to adapt and change their programing. In short, maybe they were already intelligent, the glitch only gave them free will? There is a difference, as seen in the IRobot/Foundation universe.
  9. I can see it as light hearted, Stormaggedon was definitely played for humor. But I still doubt that human emotion is really that strong.Yeah, I think that classic Cybermen were suits of armor though. So maybe the ones in Closing Time were of that group.I personally preferred Pete's World Cybermen, because they were the race the Doctor thinks has so much potential. The need to assimilate, to dominate, to convert; these are all human behaviors. The PW Cybermen were born of mankind's fear of death, and their cruelty. They are human nature, save without compassion and kindness. They show us what were are like without restraint, monsters. They are worse than the Daleks, at least the Dalek's don't turn you into one of them, they only kill you. A quick death is better than a lifeless future.

  10. Although I prefer Bionicles without humans(except when Bionicles destroy humanity in a one sided war), I have to say this is a wonderful program. It is nice to see your take on the story, and I am curious to see how much of the past holds true. How far in to the story do you plan on doing this?

  11. I have a lot of negative emotions directed towards closing time. Really, the day is saved by the Power of Heart? It's not cliche, it's just sad. I was hoping that Craig would stay converted and though the Cybermen would be destroyed, it would further convince the Doctor that he only brings pain to his companions.

  13. For those who saw One shall Rise part 3

Any theories on Optimus Prime's/Orion Pax's fate? My theory is that the Cortical Psychic Patch might be used to transfer memories of the Autobots into Orion. The information they got on uploading data into Autobot minds from T.M.I. might help in this. Any other ideas?

  14. Great creation, the design is really unique. I don't recall ever seeing forearms like that, and I am at a lose to understand the torso. The one think I am worried about here is the use of hero chest plates as shoulder armor, it looks like it might limit movement.

  15. Can I just say all of the 2010-onward story? I understand why it's that way, but it really is an "inelegant" ending to the story, what with a horribly truncated finale and all-but abandoned serials.

Adding to my prior comments; this point. If I can will myself to write a chapter of my current Bionicle story a week, while keeping up with my collage work; I think at least one of the serials could still be updated every month. I need to know who the Great Being is, especially since my only guess of Kapura was rejected.
