I've planned ahead - when I die, this blog post will be dedicated to me. And the comments on this post will say wonderful things about me.

Nice things - we want people to remember how great I am!

(I know, I know, I'm running out of material to post.)

Sometime within the near future, I will post in the Digital forum "TheSkeletonMan939's Music Center v3.0". It'll feature a boatload of stuff not in the previously versions on the old forum.

    1) Remastered TLR Soundtrack
    2) Remastered Bohrok and Bohrok-Kal Animation soundtracks
    3) The Music of BIONICLE: All the promotional songs used in Bionicle.

Maybe I'll think of something else. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Today, the Google logo is modified for Alphonse Mucha's 150th birthday.

Well, I've never heard of him before. But all the unknown guys get the Google. I've never seen George Washington's name up there. Or Alexander the Great's. Or Ronald Reagan's. But if Google puts random unknown peoples' birthdays up, I have a question:

Why haven't they put up my birthday?

    Read the title.

One of the cons of TMNT is Raphael's constant punning. He's on a flying mutant and he says, "Time to make an emergency landin'!" And makes the creature land.

    It.

    Drives.

    Me.

    Crazy.

I am agonizingly slowly completing the soundtrack - not too many tracks left. It should be up soon. If anyone has thought about my title suggestions, please comment and tell me what your picks are. If you have a suggestion, post it - it just might become the title if it's good enough!

    Maybe.

Well, technically, no, I haven't gotten Premier Membership. But in honor of BZP's ninth anniversary, you get Premier abilities, like rank images and blogs! But no proto....

I'm planning on posting every day, but I may forget. I better not, cuz I only have seven days to post!

In the meantime, find out about this blog! And read this blog! Read it a lot! Memorize it, too! Memorize it a lot!

Awhile ago, I posted a topic with various bits of BIONICLE music, among them sounds from MNOLG 2. Link in my sig. Right now the topic is old, but I'm rerecording the sounds and making a soundtrack. Want a preview? Here it is!

    Po-Wahi

I'll be posting regularly. Also, a request. If anyone can figure out how to rip the sounds from Ko-Wahi.swf, you're my hero.

This was really posted on Tuesday. It was not published until Thursday.

I'm often asked how I make my soundtracks.

Actually, no, I've never been asked once, which kinda stinks, since I've always wanted to explain this to someone.

So you, the lucky reader, get to learn the ways of the music master.

I'm going to explain to you how I made my remastered TLR soundtrack (which is NOT the same as: http://www.bzpower.com/board/index.php?showtopic=5116&do=findComment&comment=286193)

Step 1) Get Audacity. Easy enough.

Step 2) Find a way to rip the DVD Audio. DVD Audio Extractor is one choice (for 30 bucks) but I go the hard (free) way and use Handbrake to rip the movie as a whole, and then use MKVTools to extract the audio. I delete the movie from my hard drive.

Step 3) Import the AC3 intro Audacity. You may need an add-on to do this.

Step 4) Right now you should have something like this:

You'll see there are six channels of audio, all mono. Channel 1 and Channel 2 are the "Front Channels". They often contain the music and, occasionally, voice echoes. Channel 3 is the raw voice and sound, the "Center Channel". No background music in this channel. Channel 4 is ambience. Totally useless. Channels 5 and 6 are the "Rear Channels." They're about the same as the front channels, except quieter and often containing fewer voice echoes/sound effects.

On to Step 5) Delete the unnecessary channels. On this DVD the rear channels had the same voice echoes and SFX as the front channels, so I deleted those both. I of course deleted the ambience channel. That leaves me with only Channels 1, 2, and 3. I made Channels one and two a Stereo track because they were meant to go together.

So begins Step 6) The editing process. I kept channel 3 (the voices) because I'll need to know when new scenes start and end, something I can't do with just background music. When I finish editing a track. I export all my tracks to 320 kbps (kilobytes per second) files.

Occasionally you'll run into some voice echoes in the Front Channels. Unless they're not in the rear channels (on this DVD the front and rear were just about the same) you'll have to include those. I believe the only times I encountered voice echoes were in "The Cave and the Collector", "Match Interruption", and "Prisoners of War", though there could be more.

Once you've made a soundtrack for the movie, congratulations! You may want to include some extra stuff like the Bye Bye Babylon instrumental or trailer music just for completion's sake.

So: expect this brand new TLR soundtrack sooner than later! Feel free to ask any questions.

'Tis time for Series 2 of Blog of a Skeleton (seeing as I missed it last year). In this series, see: unpredictable ramblings! News flashes based off of events in my real life! And lots of other junk!

Check back in on a regular basis within the week - I'd suggest on the top of every hour. This blog should be the high point of your week.

    It's here.

Mata Nui Online Game II: The Unofficial Soundtrack has been released.

It's in the software forum. Look for it there.

Because I'm too lazy to edit my sig right now.

In most books, movies, and other forms of media I've seen, the book ends with some moral, defiant saying, or quote to mark the end of the media source.

    So I have one.

    HASTA LA VISTA, BABY!

(I was going to do, "Keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars," but that was too simple.) Oh wait, if I had this be the end of the blog post, my moral/defiant saying/quote to mark the end of the media source would be wasted. So, hold on, I need to think of another...

    Hmmm...

Maybe, "Hobey ho, let's go," from the Pendragon series? Nah, not known well enough. Maybe, "The scar had not pained Harry for nineteen years. All was well,"?, the last line of Harry Potter number seven? Nah, too well known.

Oh, what the heck. Same quote.

    HASTA LA VISTA, BABY!

Today is the last day for premier perks.

Put on your sad faces, for I will not be posting in my blog from here on out. Unless I get Premier Membership.

    One last bit of criticism:

I think the kids in the Trix commercials are racist, or members of the Animal Cruelty Organization. They won't let him have a single thing of Trix yogurt.

    What meanies.

And remember, don't judge a book by its spine!

    Judge its condition.

EDIT: One last piece of blogging! Want to become famous and praised? Want to be the inspiration for millions? Then quickly comment on your idea of a good title for my soundtrack, and you just may get your title chosen (if it's better than mine)!

EDIT: Too late! The title is chosen: Mata Nui Online Game II: The Unofficial Soundtrack.

Today I don't have a long entry because I couldn't think of what to write.

So I tried to get inspired.

But that didn't work. So now I am un-inspired.

So I will tell you my life story.

It all started when was born. Then, this morning, I started working on my second music video, featuring the Cryoshell song Trigger.

The clips go by fast. I can't see all of them. They take up .5 seconds of the song.

Maybe no one would notice if the clips were .6 seconds long. But that would be cheating my audience.

    So, that's why I don't have a longer entry.

    Because I'm un-inspired.

Wish me luck in my quest for inspiration.

Three cheers for the two guys who visited my blog and downloaded the Po-Wahi music.

    Hooray!

    Hooray!

    Hooray!

By the way, I'm at 400 posts! How great is that? I deserve acknowledgement! A cake! Bring a cake!

I have trouble being patient. In these days of new technology, everyone wants everything quickly and without hesitation. I am affected.

I said I liked to share my complaints yesterday. Well, here's another:

My new TV takes too long to turn on. It takes ten seconds to fully turn on, and that takes too long for me.

Another thing I don't like is pickpocketers. Well, yeah, nobody likes them. But have you heard of a bagpocketer?

At the pool yesterday, my brother told me he had seen the kid who was going of the diving board going through our bag with the towels, sun block, etc. When my brother asked what he was doing, the boy said, "Lookin' for cool shtuff!"

And my brother isn't one to kid around.

Oh, yeah, about Mata Nui Online Game II: The Unofficial Soundtrack; I'm thinking of calling it Mata Nui Online Game II: The Final Chronicle: The Unofficial Soundtrack or The Final Chronicle: The Unofficial Soundtrack. What do you think?

As long as I'm on the subject, I did bang out one song last night: Le-Wahi. It's too bad that there aren't many tracks in MNOG2: I'd give the songs more creative titles. I'll be finished quickly once JrMasterModelBuilder answers my PM about Ko-Wahi music.

Oh, yeah, people answering messages of any kind takes too long: eMail, PM, phone, etc.

Boy, have I got a lot of complaints.
  13. TheSkeletonMan939
Banged out several songs last night for the soundtrack - it was a long night.

Also, I have a complaint. I like making complaints. It's because someone else can hear my life's trouble other than myself.

Every Saturday, like a kid, I turn on some annoying cartoons, like TMNT. But when the ads come, the first ad will always be "Kung Zhu", a Zhu-Zhu Pets thing for boys.

Another recurring advertisement is Frosted Flakes. I've noticed at the end the guy says:"Part of this nutritious breakfast!" and a picture showing a small bowl of Flakes, and an apple, a banana, milk, orange juice...

But they forgot to say one thing in the ad:

"Apple, banana, milk, and orange juice not included."

So now no one will eat their Frosted Flakes with all that nutritious stuff.

But I'm sure no one would have their Flakes with that stuff anyway. Such a shame.

This was really posted on Wednesday, the 21st. It was not published until Thurday.
