As others have said, Mr. Luchter has lost a lot of older files, and most are just gone forever. Lego probably has them on some server somewhere, but since no one's looking for them they won't be uncovered. Luchter did put a unique arrangement of the MNOLGII Ga-Wahi music on his SoundCloud though. 128kbps. https://soundcloud.com/controlcentral/bionicle-year-2-theme It contains some audio not heard in the final version of the game. Music wasn't handled very well for that game... it just sort of came and went without warning. Great atmosphere though.

How do you feel about the end of Bionicle?
TheSkeletonMan939 replied to Fry's topic in Bionicle Discussion
I don't care at all. It wasn't the Bionicle I grew up with nor was it enticing to me in the least. -
What would you like G3 to be about?

Well this post just confused me. -

But it was just cancelled after like two years. If anything, "Star Wars" is the ace up their sleeve because it's always guaranteed to sell. -

Dude, there ain't gonna be no G3. If there is, it won't be for a lonnnnnng time. More than just five years. They can't reboot it again with G2 still in everyone's minds, and after G2 was a bit of a lost cause, would they want to reboot it? -
Bionicle Concludes Again
TheSkeletonMan939 replied to Hapori Tohu's topic in BZPower.com News Discussion
Well I sure won't miss it. It was sloppily handled from the beginning. I doubt we'll ever get another Bionicle "generation" again. -
As cool as building the sets are, I've always found them secondary to the story in my interest in Bionicle. I don't know why that is, but ever since 2006 the story has held a much tighter grip on me than the sets have. I guess I thought the comics were cool, and my interest in the plot extended from there. The wealth of material Farshtey regularly provided in 2008 especially kept me excited. "I personally dislike G2 therefore obviously everyone else does too" Oh the arrogance... Are you saying there are people in the world who like the G2 story more than the sets? Where are these people? Show yourselves!

I think they blinked in the movies.

Discussion: The Future of Bionicle G2

You might as well ask the wind to stop blowing! You all were a lot more fun to talk with when you were 12 instead of 18. -
Discussion: The Future of Bionicle G2
TheSkeletonMan939 replied to GSR's topic in Bionicle Discussion
After 2006 I paid more attention to the Bionicle story than I ever did the sets. On the other hand someone might really enjoy the sets and not care for the story. You don't have to like one to like the other. They don't go hand in hand in that sense. Completely agree. I'm glad your voicing your opinion (even though I think you're wrong ) because it at least gives people on the opposite side a reason to be introspective about why they feel the way they do. BZPower is usually a polite shouting match. -
Discussion: The Future of Bionicle G2

Dude, if the story magically becomes cool to me that doesn't mean I'm going to buy the sets. The story and the sets are two completely different animals. -
Does Bionicle's appearance in the Lego Movie anger you?
TheSkeletonMan939 replied to Lenny7092's topic in Bionicle Discussion
I'm was like Jake as a kid. I always separated out Bionicles and other Lego pieces in my mind. Of course they can be criss-crossed if you're trying, but overall they're very different systems of building. Normal Lego sets use lots of little pieces. Bionicles have always used several big pieces. -
There is hope for Bionicle G2!
TheSkeletonMan939 replied to ToaTImeLord's topic in Bionicle Discussion
Do you realize how superfluous the story is? It wasn't until relatively recently that so many of their set lines got legitimate storytelling. No they don't. Lego's loyalties lie with whoever is buying their stuff. I bet you aren't. Why should they listen to you? -

I'm not angry... I'm FURIOUS! _________ ... This thread has to be a joke. I hope no one seriously took offense to the Bionicle image in the movie. -

For a juggernaut company like Lego, I don't think there's much need to save money for next year the way you describe it. If Lego thought more Bionicles would sell, they'd make more. Why would they celebrate Bionicle 15th anniversary? If the line is struggling the way some people here seem to think, why would they want to call back to better days? Plus it would just be confusing to the younger kids who don't know anything about G1. Not "people in Facebook". That implies all Facebook users have a positive view on Bionicle. It is, in fact, "people on Facebook who went to the Lego Facebook page and put a positive comment". If you're going to the trouble of posting a comment on Facebook, it's either going to be a very positive or negative comment. Probably most people will have positive comments since Lego hasn't kicked any kittens or done something to really tick people off. So, Facebook comments are not a good source of info. -

TheSkeletonMan939 replied to ToaTImeLord's topic in Bionicle Discussion
Why did you make a whole new thread? Couldn't you have just said in the original thread "You make a great point."? Since when are Facebook comments a useful source of information? -
I have a couple ideas, they should bring back CCBS and Greg Farshtey. Dude... G1 wasn't dark. Okay, maybe 2006 and 2008 were a little heavy at times. But the tone for the overall series was pretty lighthearted. Blood 'n guts weren't flying everywhere the way you remember it. The closest G1 ever got to being "gritty" was Stuart Sayger's bad art.

Are they working on G3 right now?
TheSkeletonMan939 replied to Alyska's topic in Bionicle Discussion
Agreed on both points. The first "generation" of Bionicle started to decline in sales because it had been going on for ten years. Despite the overall high quality of the line throughout its lifetime, people move on and interests change. It's understandable that it was axed when it was. It's not even been two years since G2 started, right? If interest is low enough in that timespan that sales are declining, Lego won't bring it back for a looonnnng time, if ever. Which is fine by me, since G1 Bionicle is the definitive and best Bionicle.
