  1. IC, Aurax: Po-Koro It was morning when Aurax and his friends finally reached Po-Koro. They had walked all the previous day and camped out in the desert when it got dark. But now, Aurax was home. A smile grew on his face as they neared the entrance to the village. As they got closer, though, his smile faded to bewilderment. "...huh," was all he could manage to utter after stepping through the gate. The village of Stone had vastly changed since Aurax had last been there. He could hardly recognize it. He couldn't recognize it at all, in fact. There were unfamiliar buildings everywhere, people were running around, there were strange... contraptions, moving on rails, and the crowds would part for them. The Dashi could spy a large wall further ahead. He knew, based on how different Ga-Koro was, he shouldn't have been surprised at how much his home village had changed. And yet, he still was. "I'll, uh, try to get us to my old house," he said as he began to lead the others through the throngs of people. Some of them gave him odd glances. "I mean, if it's still there..." OOC: @Harvali @ARROW404 @Mel @Lady Takanuva @Tarn @BULiK @~Xemnas~ @BBBBalta @Umbraline Yumiwa @Rahisaurus after months of inactivity I have moved us (finally) to P-Koro.
  2. IC, Aurax: Iron Canyon “Sun’s getting high. Keep an eye out for a cave or nook.” Aurax's face remained expressionless at Tueris's remark, but make no mistake, he was on edge. He was used to going through Iron Canyon, but not so much with other people. He glanced around, making sure to spot anything that the group could hole up in, no pun intended. The sooner they could find shelter, the better; they were less vulnerable if they weren't out in broad daylight.
  3. IC, Aurax: Po-Wahi "I've never seen one. A Suva. I heard that Toa use it to store artefacts of power." Aurax nodded. "Yes and no," he said to Timak, "the First Toa had used them to store the Kanohi that they had collected around the island. As far as I'm aware, they aren't used for much anymore, they're mostly symbolic in function now." "How much further? My feet ache." The Dashi laughed. "Afraid it's gonna take a while to get there," he chuckled. "Might get there by tomorrow if we get lucky. We'll probably have to make camp out here in the desert when it gets dark." 4. IC, Aurax: Po-Wahi The Dashi's eyebrows furrowed as he became lost both in thought and in memories, memories of his time with Stannis and the others, visiting the Kini-Nui and the temples of the Principles. Just like old times, but without direction... Public... mundane... Suddenly a thought occurred to him, one with such clarity that it almost made him feel like he was regaining his memories all over again. "If you want public," he said, looking at Nichou, "we should take a look at the Suvas! There's one in every village, two in every Wahi, but ever since the First Toa lost to Makuta, they've sat in the middle of each Koro. Even before the Wanderer's Company was formed people would pass by them like they would a rock in the middle of the road." Direction! 5. IC, Aurax: Precipere, Lift The Glatorian wordlessly stepped onto the lift with Tueris and the rest of the group. He avoided making eye contact with anyone, instead choosing to stare blankly off into space. He was not looking forward to the journey to come.
  6. OOC: Trying to get back into the swing of things IC, Aurax: Po-Wahi Aurax blew some air out of his nose in a bemused manner. "From what I remember Stannis wasn't already super open, even as a Matoran. It's been a long time since I've seen him so I can't really comment on how he is currently. Hopefully he didn't let his status as the Wanderer get too into his head- maybe he'll be more open if he sees that I've returned, somehow. This, uh Keeping Place, was it? Could be important." 7. IC, Aurax: Po-Wahi Aurax let out a small smile. It seemed that he wasn't the only one who had changed since the disbanding of Stannis's Companions; Nichou's thoughts seemed to say that his time on his own had left him with a sort of personal wisdom that Aurax was appreciative of. It was different from the Nichou Aurax knew while being a Companion, but he gladly welcomed the Onu-Matoran's input. "Alright, thinking about 'hows', then, three come to my mind: how did Stannis and the other Toa defeat Makuta, how did Makuta return, and how can we fight back and defeat Makuta again?" He glanced ahead to double check and make sure they were still on the path to the Koro before looking again at Nichou. "Have you talked to Stannis lately? Has he told you anything of importance about the battle against Makuta?" OOC: @Harvali @ARROW404 @Mel @Lady Takanuva @Tarn @BULiK @~Xemnas~ @BBBBalta @Umbraline Yumiwa @Rahisaurus
  8. IC, Aurax: Po-Wahi "There's a lot that I don't think anyone understands," Aurax said, "including myself. My time in the Archipelago, for me at least, puts into perspective just how big the world truly is. "I mean we've always had people washing up on Mata Nui with no memories," he glanced over at Timak briefly, "but the existence of Kentoku, and now this Seprili place, makes me wonder what sort of future we're in for. Why is all of this being revealed now? Will something about these other lands help push back against Makuta- or help him strike against us?" He let out a small sigh. "I guess a lot of my questions just boil down to why... Hopefully I'll find some answers, but I'm not sure if I'll like them." 9. IC, Aurax: Po-Wahi Aurax frowned. He was saddened to hear of Matoro's death. The Ko-Matoran translator had always been kind to those who had sought out the wisdom of Turaga Nuju. "Glad to hear that you've been doing alright, Nichou," he said. "Ko-Koro taken over..." Aurax processed the information. "At least it's been liberated, I guess, but that's still really concerning. Nothing like that has ever happened before, and that was with Makuta gone. Who knows what could happen now that he's returned?" The Dashi became silent for a moment as his words hung in the air. "Say, Nichou, if my house has been demolished while I've been gone, do you think you could design me a new place to live?" Aurax said this with a slight joking tone, trying to bring a little humor back to the conversation. 10. IC, Aurax: Forsi Aurax looked at his companions, then began to walk forward, in the direction of Po-Koro, his old home. He wasn't sure what exactly awaited him there, if anything at all. He glanced back and spoke up. "So, what other changes have happened on the island? Besides the train, anyway." OOC: @Harvali @ARROW404 @Mel @Lady Takanuva @Tarn @BULiK @~Xemnas~ @BBBBalta @Umbraline Yumiwa @Rahisaurus
  11. IC, Aurax: Forsi Aurax nodded. "Right. Let's make sure we have enough water and supplies for the trip." ... After a short (but seemingly long) trip to the local shops, Aurax and his company were ready to set out. The vast stretches of desert lay before them. Aurax was pretty familiar with the area, as Po-Koro was previously his home, but luckily he had Sigrus there to help keep him from getting them all lost. Just in case. 12. IC, Aurax: Precipere Aurax stood up at Tueris's nod. He was eager to get out of the village and get the excursion over with. OOC: @Nato G @oncertainty @Burnmad @a goose
  13. IC, Aurax: Precipere Aurax's brow furrowed. The thought of Ferrum's leader being deceased was... disconcerting to him. He would think more on it later; there was still the task at hand to focus on. "Burning the evidence is, admittedly, suspicious," he said. "A plague is a strange story to make up, though." OOC: @Nato G @oncertainty @Burnmad @a goose
  14. IC, Aurax: Precipere Aurax nodded. "Understandable," he said. "We are planning on taking precautions when we get there- if we get there-, which will hypothetically help prevent any of us from catching this plague. If any of us return, we'll hopefully won't be spreading it. But I guess we'll cross that bridge when we get there." The Glatorian stood up and bowed his head respectfully. "We thank you for your hospitality," he said, glancing back to the others. "We should be getting on our way, then." OOC: @Nato G @oncertainty @Burnmad @a goose
  15. IC, Aurax: Precipere In his mind, Aurax sighed. He knew Tueris had wanted him to do all the talking with the Ash Tribe people, but he wasn't particularly happy about it. He understood why; the Ash Tribe and the Fire Tribe had a bit of a history, so this Somok might not be as agreeable with Tueris as with Aurax. Finally, he spoke up. "Me, I suppose," he said. "My name's Aurax. As perhaps you've heard, there's been report of some sort of plague going on in Ferrum. I and the others with me are going in to investigate. If you could allow us to pass through your village out to Iron Canyon, it would be most appreciated." OOC: Apologies for the super late reply @Nato G @oncertainty @Burnmad @a goose
  16. IC, Aurax: Precipere Aurax pulled up a chair and sat down. Ignoring what the others were doing, he looked out the window and began to lose himself in his thoughts. What sort of plague is happening in Ferrum? OOC: @Nato G @oncertainty @Burnmad @a goose
  17. IC, Aurax: Precipere Aurax glanced back at Tueris, then began following Giltu to the Ash Tribe's guardhouse. He wasn't particularly happy at the concept of more people joining the group; that means more chances for things to go wrong. But it wasn't his call. He wasn't in charge; Tueris was. If Tueris was fine with more people, Aurax could suffer through it. OOC: @Nato G @oncertainty @Burnmad @a goose
  18. IC, Aurax: Precipere Aurax raised a hand in polite greeting. "Hello," he said to the guard, Giltu, "my companions and I are on our way to Ferrum. I'm not sure if you've heard, but there's been an issue in my home village. Some kind of plague, allegedly. The situation is concerning enough that people from various tribes are going in to investigate." Aurax gestured to the others to show their varied origins. "If you could grant us passage through your village so that we can reach Ferrum with haste, we could all greatly appreciate it." OOC: @Nato G @oncertainty @Burnmad @a goose
  19. IC, Aurax: The Precipice Aurax nodded wordlessly and began to lead the party down into the stony village. The Glatorian was happy that Tueris told the others not to speak unless spoken to. Silence is golden, he thought to himself. Although, Aurax had a feeling that some of the Ash Tribe villagers would come out and question their intentions. The presence of a varied group such as theirs would be almost unheard of in this place. Then Aurax would have to speak. OOC: @Nato G @oncertainty @Burnmad @a goose
  20. IC, Aurax: Papa Podu's, Forsi Aurax nodded at Timak's statement. "Yes," he said. After listening to Sigrus and Nichou talk for a bit, he spoke up once more. "I can lead us out to the Koro, and Sigrus can help ensure that I don't get lost," he said. "While I'm pretty confident of the way to go, it has been a while since I've been here." He took a peak at what Kanohi was writing to Hakari. "Occasionally there are plants in certain spots out here in the desert," the Dashi said. "I'm sure we'll come across some on our travels." He stood up. "Okay, is there anything we should get while we're here? Supplies and such?" OOC: @Harvali @ARROW404 @Mel @Lady Takanuva @Tarn @BULiK @~Xemnas~ @BBBBalta @Umbraline Yumiwa @Rahisaurus IC, Skrol: Iron Mahi freight car Skrol nodded, and, taking out his walking stick, made his way to the door opposite of the one that Quoribay had left through. This door led to another freight car closer to the rest of the train. Skrol opened the door to the car he was in, feeling the rushing wind hit him full blast. He reached out again and opened the door to the next car. The Lesterin stepped through, closing both doors behind him. OOC: @BULiK @Krayzikk @a goose
  21. IC, Aurax: Arena Vulcanus Aurax shrugged. "Very well," he said. "I can still help guide us through the most optimal routes regardless." He stood up. "I'm ready to leave whenever you all are." OOC: @Nato G @oncertainty @Burnmad @a goose
  22. IC, Aurax: Arena Vulcanus "I have no questions," said Aurax as he folded his mantis blade back into his arm. "The sooner we get moving, the better. There is room in my Kaxium's sidecar to store extra supplies, if necessary." OOC: @Nato G @oncertainty @Burnmad @a goose
  23. IC, Aurax: Arena Vulcanus The Iron Tribe Glatorian said nothing as the others talked, only briefly glancing at each of them. He didn't attempt to defend the Agori from the Fire Glatorian's apprehensions, nor did attempt to encourage or discourage any of the other volunteers. People were typically not quick to change their minds, in his experience. Aurax allowed his continued presence to speak volumes about his participation. OOC: Apologies for the late reply @Nato G @oncertainty @Burnmad @a goose
  24. IC, Aurax: Arena Vulcanus The Iron Tribe Glatorian glanced at the two newcomers. "Yup," he said simply to the one who had spoken to him. "But won't be much of a homecoming by the sound of things." OOC: @oncertainty @Burnmad @a goose
  25. IC, Aurax: Arena Vulcanus Aurax was unhappy. A few days previously, he had been doing his thing, scavenging old tech and selling it. It was his typical day-to-day life. But then he heard that there was an issue at his home village, some kind of sickness. Vulcanus was organizing a trip to investigate. Now, Aurax had gotten wind of that information and very strongly considered going by himself back to Ferrum to see what was happening. But the more he thought about it, the more he realized that these other people were going to wander into Iron Canyon anyway, and likely end up getting slaughtered by wild beasts of various kinds, killed in a rockslide, or any other possible disaster that could happen. Aurax didn't care about that. What he did care about, though, was if he needed to leave the village afterwards- a bunch of Glatorian bumbling about in Iron Canyon attracting predators could cause Aurax a lot of unnecessary headaches. So, he begrudgingly decided that he would help the group navigate their way through Iron Canyon, in a way that the risk of death for those involved would (hypothetically) be lower. Aurax, after parking his Kaxium nearby, now found himself walking into the Arena Vulcanus. He knew he was probably a little early, and his suspicions were confirmed when all he saw was a dozing Fire Tribe Glatorian. He sat down a distance away from the other Glatorian and popped out his right arm's mantis blade; he then took a small cloth out of his bag, and began to clean it, keeping himself busy until it was time to leave. OOC: Open for interaction.
