  1. IC, Eita: Ga-Koro Eita sipped more of his own cider. "Yeah, seems like we have plenty of food," he said. He didn't mind another person joining them at the table; plus, he was curious to know more about the Matoran's adventures in the Kentoku Archipelago. "I'm Eita." OOC: @BBBBalta @Tarn @TL01 NUVA @Mel
  2. IC, Eita: Ga-Koro Eita shook his head. "I don't think so, I wasn't on the Yukanna. I came over on the Courageous Cuscus," he replied. He blinked in mild confusion. "Wait, you're a Matoran, aren't you? What were you doing in the Archipelago?" OOC: @BBBBalta @Tarn @TL01 NUVA @Mel
  3. IC, Verdi: Le-Koro Verdi grinned. "Hey Sisk!" he said. His own Gukko, Ajax, chittered in greeting to Sisk's bird mound. "Things are going just fine. Patrol is pretty uneventful today, which honestly is a good thing. The last thing the village needs is trouble." He glanced at Sisk's brace. "How are you doing? Seems like your leg is still giving you trouble." OOC: @Vezok's Friend
  4. IC, Eita: Ga-Koro "Yeah, I have a feeling that a lot of people are really f- AHH!" Eita shouted as he was startled by a green-colored Matoran who literally jumped through the door of the restaurant. "Zataka's rear, do people often leap into buildings on this island?!" OOC: @Tarn @TL01 NUVA @Mel @BBBBalta
  5. IC, Atamai: Ko-Koro Atamai began to trudge behind the two Ko-Matoran, lugging along his supplies. OOC: @BULiK @Tarn
  6. IC, Eita: Ga-Koro "Ah," Eita said, impressed. He looked to the others. "Willhammers are skilled in entering the minds of others. I let a Willhammer enter my mind once, to try and understand my amnesia... but according to her, the only thing beyond my memory of waking up on Iki is an empty void." OOC: @Tarn @Mel @TL01 NUVA
  7. IC, Atamai: Ko-Koro Atamai didn't understand why the Ko-Matoran would tolerate being covered in snow. "Well, that answers that," Atamai replied. "I'm ready to go whenever you two are." OOC: @BULiK @Tarn
  8. IC, Verdi: Le-Koro A lone Matoran sat on a high branch overlooking the village of Le-Koro. Next to him was a large Gukko bird. The Matoran lifted up a sandwich to his mouth, and as he ate he reminisced about how the village was before the chute system was installed. Before the Gukko Force started using Nui-Rama in addition to their traditional bird mounts. Verdi had nothing against his fellow Matoran who rode the giant insects, but the bugs creeped him out. Occasionally someone would be whizzing past in a nearby chute. Verdi looked and shooked his head. While he admired the chute system for its ingenuity, he still preferred the feeling of flying. The feeling of freedom, the air rushing past your face. There was nothing like it. Not even riding a chute could mimic that. Verdi continued to eat his sandwich, occasionally tossing a piece into his Gukko's beak. Once he was finished eating he would go back on his patrol. OOC: Verdi open for interaction
  9. IC, Atamai: Ko-Koro Atamai waited at the front of the village as agreed upon. The sun was barely peaking out over the horizon; the orange glow bounced off of the snow-laden ground. The Ta-Matoran shivered and adjusted his scarf and backpack. He had bought supplies the previous day after his conversation with the two Ko-Matoran. Water? Check. Food? Check. A tent? Check. A heatstone? Check. Extra supplies like rope? Also check. Atamai's scope zoomed in and out as he scanned for his new traveling companions. He wondered just exactly what he was getting himself into... OOC: @BULiK @Tarn
  10. IC, Eita: Ga-Koro Eita ignored the fact that Shuuan had ignored his greeting, and continued to address her. "So, Shuuan, which Discipline do you know?" he asked her. OOC: @Mel @Tarn @TL01 NUVA
  11. IC, Eita: Ga-Koro Eita moved over to make room for the Dasaka. "I very much understand that. If the boat you came here on was anything like mine, you're desperate for some personal space," he said. "Kinzoku Eita. Nice to meet you, Shuuan." OOC: @Mel @Tarn @TL01 NUVA
  12. IC, Eita: Ga-Koro Eita chuckled and continued eating. "I have no crab riding skills so I probably wouldn't be very good," he said, his mouth partially full with food. "What's an Iron Mahi?" he asked Nale. Then he heard a noise in his head. ::Psssst.:: Ideatalk? "Hmmm? Huh?" Eita said. He looked around. He spotted a Dasaka near the door of the establishment. "May I help you?" he called out to her. OOC: @Tarn @TL01 NUVA @Mel
  13. IC, Atamai: Rhanus's Inn Atamai nodded and downed the rest of his ale. He got up and wrapped his scarf up tighter. As he left the inn, he began making a mental list of what he would need for the journey. OOC: short post now, maybe a longer post later
  14. IC, Eita: Ga-Koro Eita took a sip of his own cider. His eyebrows raised at how good it was. "Yeah, in that case, a cart or crab would be faster," he said. "Maybe a cart since there's currently three of us." OOC: @Tarn @TL01 NUVA
  15. IC, Eita: Ga-Koro "Uh, I was assuming on foot, unless a cart or crab is faster," Eita said. "I honestly have no idea how long this will take. You said there's another village over there, right? Po-Koro, you called it? We can stock up on supplies there, in case we have to camp out." Eita reached out and grabbed some sashimi, taking a bite of it. "Mmm, this is good," Eita said. "I know anything would taste good after being at sea for a while, but still, this is really good." OOC: @Tarn @TL01 NUVA
  16. IC, Atamai: Rhanus’s Inn Atamai looked at the map that Savrehn presented. His telescoping eye zoomed in and out as he scanned over it. Eenie, meanie, minie, mo… Atamai pointed to a question mark. “How about here?” OOC: @Tarn @BULiK
  17. IC, Eita: Ga-Koro ”Migraines,” he replied to the Matoran. “The healer told us we should look for something called a Miracle Cactus if I want to get rid of the headaches.” Eita smiled a little. “I’m Eita. And I’d offer to pay, but I don’t have any money on me. Plus, I have no idea if the people here would accept crystal money.” Eita chuckled at the half joke. OOC: @Tarn @TL01 NUVA
  18. IC, Eita: Cael's Hut "Well, I could go for some food," Eita replied. "All I've had to eat lately was lousy boat food. I want to have something with more flavor." He stretched a little and grabbed his backpack. "Thank you for your help, Cael." Cael smiled and nodded. "You're very welcome. Good luck on your search you two." Eita gestured for Nale to lead the way. OOC: @Tarn
  19. IC, Eita: Cael’s hut “The Miracle Cactus,” Cael repeated. Eita shook his head. Miracle Cactus was an unfamiliar term to him as well. “It’s a small cactus that grows in Po-Wahi. Less than a foot high, very bendy. It’s very rare, and has amazing medicinal properties. I think it could cure your migraines, maybe even you amnesia.” The blue Toa got up and walked over to a cabinet. She continued talking as she rummaged around inside of it. “You can either trim the spines off and eat the plant itself, maybe if you’re lucky you can eat its fruits if it has any. Or…” her voice trailed off as she pulled out an object from the cabinet: a pipe. “You can smoke the flower buds. Now, as a healer, I usually don’t recommend smoking, but smoking the Miracle Cactus flowers is known to have the same effect as eating the plant or its fruit.” Raising an eyebrow, Eita took the pipe Cael offered him. “Okay, so where do we find this cactus? Po-Wahi doesn’t really sound like a specific location” he asked her. “Well unfortunately it’s rare for a reason. It doesn’t seem to grow in any particular place. The entire Motara Desert is its habitat. It would probably be best to start with a small search area. Tiro Canyon, perhaps.” Eita shrugged and hopped off the bed. He looked at Nale. “You know the way to Po-Wahi from here?” he asked. OOC: @Tarn
  20. IC, Atamai: Rhanus’s Inn Atamai checked his bag. “I’m really not carrying much right now,” he said. “But I can carry more. Probably would need to buy some essentials first.” OOC: @BULiK @Tarn
  21. IC, Atamai: Rhanus's Inn The Ta-Matoran snorted in indignance again. "Why not? You Ko-Matoran love to prove points," he said flatly. "Plus you were just going on about how if you haven't gone out into the snowy wilderness you haven't lived. You're clearly an experienced mountaineer- doesn't it burn you up inside to see someone who hasn't yet lived by your definition of living?" OOC: @BULiK @Tarn
  22. IC, Atamai: Rhanus's Inn Atamai snorted. "Why?" he repeated back to the Ko-Matoran. "Perhaps I've been intrigued by the conversation the two of you were having and now I want to see if a couple of iceheads can show me what's so great about the snow." OOC: @BULiK @Tarn
  23. IC, Atamai: Rhanus’s Inn Atamai scoffed. “Muaka’s paws are padded to keep them muffled as they move through the snow,” Atamai said, retorting at the Ko-Matoran’s statement. He took another sip of ale. “You say I haven’t lived? I’m living right now. I’ve made my current purpose in life to preserve our knowledge and history. This Koro was very lucky that its Wall of Prophecy wasn’t destroyed when Makuta’s followers took over. I’m ensuring that what’s written on it will survive in the event of another disaster like that occurring.” The Ta-Matoran shifted in his seat. “If you think someone like me hasn’t lived, then by all means, show me what I’ve been missing.” OOC: @Tarn @BULiK
  24. IC, Eita: Cael’s hut Cael scratched at her Kanohi in thought. “That’s a pretty likely explanation,” she said. Eita nodded in agreement. A lightbulb went off inside the healer’s head. “Say, have either of you heard about a plant called the Miracle Cactus?” OOC: @Tarn
  25. IC, Eita: Cael's hut Cael nodded to Nale in greeting. As the Toa fixed up a small bed for Eita to lie down on, she raised an eyebrow. "Oh? How long have you been here, Eita? Did you come with the expedition team?" She patted the bed as a signal for Eita to get on it. Eita clambered onto the bed. "No, I actually just got here today. The Archipelago was attacked by Rahkshi. Myself and many others evacuated on the fleet." The Toa paled and let out a light gasp. "Rahkshi? I can't believe it... is Makuta's darkness spreading to other lands now?" she murmured to herself. She took a seat next to the bed and gestured for Nale to sit next to her. "Okay Eita, how long have you been having these migraines?" Cael asked the Dashi. "As long as I can remember," Eita stated. "Which isn't that long, honestly. I also have amnesia- I woke up on Iki a few months ago with no recollection of... anything, really. I was lucky enough to be taken in by Clan Kinzoku." Cael nodded. "Sounds like you've had quite the journey," she said. "Okay, I want you to take a deep breath and close your eyes. I'll see if I can do anything to help you." Eita nodded and did as he was told. The Ga-Toa's mask glowed lightly as it activated. Cael placed a hand on Eita's temple and focused. She tried to picture all the possible causes of Eita's condition. Head injuries, primarily. After a moment, Cael's mask deactivated, and she removed her hand from the Dashi. "Feel better?" she asked. Eita opened his eyes and shook his head. "No, sorry," he said. "Migraine's still there." Cael's eyes fell, disappointed that she couldn't do anything to help the young man. "I'm sorry, if your migraine didn't go away when I used my mask, then I'm afraid I can't do any more for you." OOC: @Tarn
