  1. You might be thinking of her rhotuka powers which cause mutations, but she herself was never said to be mutated.
  2. She was not mutated, actually. By the time Roodaka was captured and transported to the Pit, the Staff of Artakha, plus the efforts of Hydraxon, Lesovikk, and some remaining Maxilos robots, had the Pit all fixed up and drained of the mutagenic waters. Any water-breathers inside had to wear special helmets that contained water, or else had to be locked up in water tanks in order to survive. But characters like Roodaka and Vezon, who was also present at the time, were out in the open air, and therefore not mutated.
  3. In Voyage of Fear, Nokama dives into the water ahead of the Lhikan and her fellow Toa to scout out the way. Nuju was the only one to know she left, and when he's confronted about Nokama's lack of presence, he implies that it's been several minutes. When the narrative catches up with Nokama a bit later, she's still underwater. I'd imagine that, given the length of time it would take for certain discussions to have progressed in a natural manner, it was at least 15 minutes, so I'd say you're not far off. Sadly, I can't think of any other examples outside of someone using a Kaukau.
  4. Interesting! Are the yellow ones the only ones? I went over some of the other colors, but so far, purple and yellow are the only ones that show off different shades. Dunno if the ones I noticed it on were from an odd batch, or if the color varies between krana types, but I figured it was worth noting.
  5. Dunno if this has ever been mentioned here, but I noticed it a while back. When going through my collection of krana and using a blacklight to see the difference in color on the purple krana I'd just received in a BL order, I noticed that two of the yellow krana from that same order did something similar. I pulled out the rest of the yellow krana in my collection, and sure enough, there's two different shades of yellow krana as well. If that's not on the list, it might be worth adding in, just for the sake of completion.
  6. Thanks for reminding me I used to do this! Sad to say that it's not that the links don't work, it's just that the comics were never even made in the first place. Regrettably, real life stuff got in the way of making my comics, and after a time, many of the characters who used to be series regulars were scavenged for parts for other MOCs. I'd love to one day get back to comic-making, but sadly, my life is just too busy right now, so unfortunately, Season 2 will remain incomplete for the foreseeable future. But I'm glad to know that years later, someone still enjoys my work. That's always great to hear.
  7. Dude. That's actually really impressive. I love the "stonework" details you've got in there. The rack for the stoker off to the side is a nice touch. One thing I'd recommend is putting a few pieces of Minifig fruit or something with a bit of color as a decoration in that dish you have in the middle. Even without that, though, it still looks really cool. I mean, warm. It looks warm and cozy.
  8. I like it! I actually did something similar a while back with all the Master and Uniter masks. Made little elemental pedestals for each set of masks. I haven't done anything with the blue Mask of Creation, and yours here looks pretty good.
  9. The difference there is that we know the extent of Firedracax's mutation. Phantom is a character we do not have an image of. He might have changed very little or he might have changed a lot. We don't know. Firedracax changed a lot.
  10. Phantom was actually mutated by an “Energized Protodermis variant,” so I doubt he still qualifies as a Matoran. (Still bugs me we don’t know what he looks like; that might help answer the question more conclusively.) I said he might be able to for that very reason. No idea how extensive his change was. For example, the Toa Mata became Toa Nuva, without changing much of their physiology. It was stated that if Radiak in his mutated form were to become a Toa, he would retain his wings and four-legged shape, so it depends on the extent to which Phantom was changed by the EP. If all it did was make him bigger and stronger, with some minor powers, while still retaining his inherent nature as a Matoran, he should still be able to become a Toa if destined to, but he wouldn't look the same as any other Toa, like Radiak.
  11. Gatherer could still become a Toa, technically. He's a Matoran that's been piecing together a suit of armor as a sort of trophy collection from his victories in the field. In terms of his physiology, he's still 100% Matoran, just outfitted in a big suit of armor. Phantom might be able to, but the others are out of the question.
  12. Very true. But it might just be the law of equivalent exchange. In both instances, the user was bringing life to literally the entire universe. Maybe to give life the mask needs to siphon life, but all it's other powers could have been used cost free (both mata nui and the embodiment of the ignika had not trouble using certain powers). But even the ignika when it tried to awaken mata nui lost its body and "life" to do. So I wouldn't call it the price of using the mask in general, just the price to use one specific power of the mask. Edit: plus it seemed to be implied that the mask of life could be destroyed (since it developed cracks without anything bad happening. The vahi would destroy the universe if destroyed. If one has enough power to take the universe with it if it breaks, and the other doesn't, I think that is some measure of power levels. If the Ignika were destroyed, all life in the MU would cease to exist. Or all inanimate objects would come to life. Or both. That's part of the reason Teridax ejected it from the universe. He knew about the Ignika's countdown and the damage to it. In either case, he'd probably die.
  13. The Ignika ate the two people that wore it. But yes, I'd agree that they did have control over it. Or, Matoro did, at least. Teleporting his friends to safety and making them amphibious before becoming Universe juice.
  14. It's from 9467 The Ghost Train, from the Monster Fighters line.
  15. A little late, sorry. Spookter here was on display with the Kreaper at my work for the duration of the Halloween holiday, and so I wasn't able to get proper photos of them until just yesterday. Anyway, without further ado, here's the Spooky Specter, or "Spookter" for short. Front Without magic thingy Uncloaked On display with Kreaper See ya next time! (Whenever I actually build something reasonably cool again, that is....)
  16. Sorry he's a little late, but I had this guy and my other creepy MOC, Spookter, on display at my work for the duration of the holiday. Mostly found on small islands near Xia, the Kreaper can be found in small numbers throughout the Matoran Universe. Created by Makuta Chirox, with input from Vamprah, the Kreapers are solitary hunters with a strong dislike for others, especially members of their own species. They tend to live in caves and come out to hunt when night falls. Roodaka had these creatures in mind when she mutated Nidhiki into his insectoid form. (That last bit was inspired by my coworker, who recognized Nidhiki's traits before I did.) Front Side Crawling Crawling side Menacing pose On display with Spookter And a short comic just for fun See ya next time!
  17. As previously stated, I'm sure that with the Toa population having been diminished to 50 or less after Teridax's reign, many surviving Toa would happily accept experienced Glatorian as honorary members. With or without powers, I'm not sure if the Toa would care too much. On a foreign world, they would probably appreciate a local with knowledge of the environment to join them and help then make their way around. As for Kanohi, it wouldn't surprise me if the GBs could make some sort of artificial headset that a Kanohi could attach to and allow the Glatorian to have limited use of the mask's power.
  18. Hmmmm, I might try my hand at that now that you mention it! You definitely should! I recently did a reimagining of the Iron Condor, taking inspiration from Marvel's Vulture. It turned out decently, and I started working on a similar-scaled Fire Vulture, but I hit some roadblocks with it and never finished. But you've inspired me to dig those up again and finish the builds.
  19. Uplink was my first Exo-Force set ever, and you, my friend, have done it a great justice. The gun arm seems a little clunky with the armor piece with the black dish, but aside from that, I love it. You should do the Cyclone Defender to match it, if possible.
  20. I recall seeing something about a second wave being in the works, but that was later that same year they were released. No idea what became of that. As for what I'd like to see, a Lilo to go along with the Stitch would be perfect. I personally would love to see a Scrooge McDuck. Jafar, for sure. Maybe a Jasmine to complete the Aladdin line. Mad Hatter would be nice. Discussing this with my co-worker right now, and he says Goofy would be a good addition, and some Hercules characters would be top of his list. Hades for sure. Phil and Herc, obviously.
  21. I, too, am in the market for Manas electronics. I was able to build the orange one entirely from a box of scraps I bought a while back, and found almost all of the yellow one, sans the motor box. The receiver box has three modes: 1, 2, and 3. You can switch the frequency by twisting it with an axle. The remote can be adjusted to control frequency 1, 2, 3, and all. That last setting allows the remote to control both Manas even if they're on different frequencies, such as 1 and 3. I don't know what else you would be able to do to fix it if there's a deeper problem, but the frequency is really easy to adjust. As long as the remote puts out a signal and the receiver picks up a signal, and you have working batteries in it, you should be good to go.
  22. He’s not. The credits just give a list of actors without specifying which characters they play. It's still possible that someone was set up to voice the lines, hence the existence of the actor's name on BS01, and that the role got cut later. Otherwise, Kivoda probably just appears in the background of one of the shots and has no clear speaking role.
  23. It's possible that something was in the original script and was later cut to shorten the runtime of the episode. Kivoda and his respective actor would still be listed in the credits, despite not having an on-screen part in the final product.
  24. I, too, thought this was the case. So when my friend got Kopaka some time later, I was terrible confused about the head and why he was looking the wrong way. Then it dawned on my that he had the weird scope thing on just one side of his face.
  25. The only Master set that had a different body style was Onua. The rest of them were all built on the exact same skeleton, with the only variation in the shape and color of their armor, and different limb lengths. The Uniters had the same torso shell and gear function, but the way their inner structure (how the shoulders attached) were vastly different between one and the next. I acknowledge that The Masters had variation to a degree, but Tahu and Galy had the same shoulders, Pohatu was a generic HF build, Lewa had no head movement, and Kopaka's bulky armor was a bit restrictive. Aesthetically, I agree that the Masters were more pleasing to look at as a finished product. But I had more fun building the Uniters than I did the Masters, and that's what I thought the topic was asking. To my surprise, this was also the first time in recent memory that my vote didn't go to Pohatu, either. The guy deserves so much love.
