  3. Hey everyone! We're back with a remastered edition of chapter 1! Chapter 3 will also get a remastering treatment, then it's back to releasing chapters of Makuta's Revenge! Also, for those of you who are interested, there are now downloadable versions of the first few chapters on mediafire. Links to them will be provided in the descriptions of each chapter!
  4. Absolutely loving the Ekimu MOC. However, I'm struggling to find differences between your Basher and the original. The bipedal version of Loss is an interesting take, although personally I would've used the golden mask, considering that's the one he's using to control the skull spiders, and it's the one that came with the set.
  5. As awesome as this is...are you certain it's just protector pieces? I mean, I'm looking at the head, where did you get the longer teeth? Only LOSS, Pohatu, and PoS have those pieces. And then there's the white protector hand, that's not even in this wave. That aside, this model is gorgeous even without taking that into account.
  6. This is gorgeous! Please post some internal photos so we can all make one!
  7. I feel as though most standard CCBS pieces are limiting. I don't even fully prefer the original Bionicle parts. I love collecting Bionicle sets, but when MOCing, I prefer intricate technic above all else. I also don't have very many CCBS sets aside from the new Bionicle sets.
  8. Alas, if every problem in the world could simply be solved by calling dibs, it would easy, but there would be a whole lot of resentment. Also there would have to be rules....and referee.....not to mention tiebreakers.......maybe horses, I dunno. Eitherway my good sir, you seem quite eager, so why don't you take a look at the first page, first post, and follow the instructions for a proper audition. Joev will be more then happy to listen. -SK Unfortunately yes, you must first audition before you can be given a part. And alas, there can't be any dibs called in here.
  9. Gosh I almost screamed when I saw that face. The only thing I can think of is adding a bit more purple (Got 2015 Onua?). I understand it's difficult, I just made a classic revamp of the Nui-Jaga myself last month, and purple is a very hard color to work with.
  10. That's pretty sweet! It's a shame it can't transform. But sometimes one must make sacrifices for awesomeness, and you certainly made your sacrifices count! Only thing I can help but notice is that the sawblades are different colors, any way you could remedy this? I understand if your parts collection is limited.
  11. This is actually pretty nice. The only thing I would recommend is adding a bit more dark blue to the colorscheme, but otherwise, it's surprisingly solid. Nice job!
  12. There goes any hope of me winning. Goodness. That thing is just dripping with awesome. It's hard to find a nitpick, but I think you should change the pearl light gray pieces in the handle for black or gunmetal (Do gunmetal axle connectors exist?). They break up the colorscheme ever so slightly. That's really all I can see.
  13. This is absolutely gorgeous. I love how you went with gunmetal instead of silver. (Ain't we lucky Maxilos gave us gunmetal vezeon heads? ) Toes! You gave him toes! And Teeth, AND a spine with MORE blades. Just touching this guy could kill ya. I can imagine him cackling now as Tridax dies at the hands of Mazeka and Tobduk...
  14. Am I the only one who noticed the name was spelt wrong? It's Hakann (two n's, not two a's). That aside, this is a pretty sweet MOC. Those claws are super meancing. I do have issue with the legs though. Maybe it's just the position you have in the main photo, but they just look really off.
  15. I actually really like the minifigures as hands. xD I never realized how perfect they can be for something like that. My only real gripe is the few pieces that throw off the colorscheme. Namely, the dark green in the lower legs, and the few splotches of light blay. I think you could easily swap out the blay for some silver pieces. Not sure what you could do to replace the dark green though. Perhaps a couple of Lewa Mata bodies? They're relatively similar in build.
  16. Unfortunately, at this level, it's a bit hard to build a Matoran with smaller bricks. Honestly, this model was just something I had been itching to make since tentacles came out in 2007, and I finally got around to it. (After 7 years, haha >_>). That's exactly what I aimed to do, glad it worked! Sorry, it's not for sale. But if it was, I certainly would.
  17. I try and use black in place of gray/blay for this exact reason I actually chose that particular cover piece for that exact reason, in an attempt to really mimic the original in every way I possibly could.
  18. What would you recommend I add in place of the current hands? I have no issue ordering parts online, but I can't think of anything blue that would really work.
  19. I really had to push it to get purple parts, purple technic pieces are simply rare. I tried some different things on the tail, black Bionicle weapons are actually rarer than I thought. It wasn't until I was building this that really, 90% are silver. (I knew a lot were silver, just not quite that many ). However, what would you suggest I replace it with? The only black weapon that I can think of that might work is one of these: http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/32552. I know they come in black because I have one, but I don't know where it came from. That comes from the 2010 Stars Skrall set. I doubt it would work well as a nui-jaga stinger, however. I have to agree with Luroka. Just because it fits the colorcheme doesn't mean it would work as an effective tail. I think the visorak leg works well, it's also very poseable.
  20. Thank you! I merely took a photo without the nose to show what it would look like. I prefer the proboscis, and the finalized model on my shelf still has it.
  21. I don't remember that, but I consider it canon. It lines up with most of the storyline aspects of 2006 Are you sure it adds any crucial information to it, though? (besides maybe the canon enemies and Rahi?) Anyways, this is interesting; I was thinking of eventually getting into G1's story properly through reading the 2001-2003 & 2006 books I have, watching the movies, playing the games like MNOLG and Heroes (not canon, but included with it anyway) and so fourth, I could actually use this as a guide for when I do that with years like 2001, so thanks! I don't have a lot of the books though, so maybe I'd have to get those some more of those at some point... Another thing to consider, I assume things like the movies aren't included because their information is already here, but what about that first GBA game Tales of the Tohunga? Didn't that cite Takua's doings to get the Toa Stones and make the Toa arrive? I assume it would make sense to add that to it. The games don't contain any canon plot information, except perhaps Maze of Shadows, which mirrors the book. For this reason, I chose not to add them.
  22. In response to everyone who keeps stating again and again that it needs to be CCBS, there is absolutely nowhere where it says that it needs to be CCBS. I can design this MOC using any parts I want, and I chose not to use any CCBS parts.
