  1. OMG SAL? SAL! I remember Salamander...
  2. Please don't give me the shivers again... those were darker days... back in the time of unlicensed portraits.
  3. generation to... wait a second I need to go read up on the current canon. Biological reproduction is a thing now... *stunned*
  4. OH really? I thought only the masks for the Masters were elemental in nature... that's cool to think about that the Protector masks are elemental as well... maybe like a noble version?
  5. That sounds really sweet! Especially if there were a few adventures being run that paralleled Bionicle's canon storyline for Okoto this year.
  6. Unsure if speaking in third person... or two people using the same account...
  7. IC: Ahkmou, Onu-Koro (general downtown) Outside, the world teemed with news. Ishi Polzin may have left The Golden Pickaxe for Nuparu’s office in the early morning, but now the streets of Onu-Koro filled with life. Businesses were open, and the grand bazaar echoed from down the road, drowning the gurgle of Onu-Koro’s stream. As he walked, with the orderly Sajis falling in step behind, Ishi heard again and again the word Rahkshi repeated on the air, and exo-matoran. Somehow, the two were tied together, but it took a poster on a signboard to answer the question: rahkshi armor repurposed for matoran exo-armor, a new innovation from the genius Wiremu. I smell the death of unprepared heroes, Ishi thought, and the dark parts of his blood bubbled with happiness. Makuta’s Sons were about to have plenty of prey. With luck, they’d remove a sizable portion of inadequate heroes from Mata-Nui’s pool of faithful. It left the stronger, tougher, opponents for the Legacy, but a rabble of weak individuals frequently became a dangerous horde when pressed. In a way, having stronger opponents meant more fun for the Informant: things were only going to get harder, and he enjoyed difficult situations. Speaking of difficult situations… His feet were taking him toward the bazaar, the meeting place for Dervish to rendezvous after gathering their gear. Ferron’s Forge sat on the far side of town, but the berserker could be quick when necessary. With luck, she’d be pinned down by the mercenary Sucogu right now, or, even better, she’d be dead. With bad luck, something Ishi found himself rather fantastic at achieving, she’d be in the bazaar now expectantly tapping her foot for his arrival. A difficult situation indeed. He turned left, remembering a dead turaga’s saying about forks in the road. Why not have a little pride in his newly acquired nationalities? To the passing villager, Ishi took himself on a relaxing walk of his new village, learning the streets of his neighborhood. In truth, he wound himself through an already known complex path to avoid the Bazaar and bring him to the front door of the Wise Man’s Archive without drawing attention. With a hand on the door he began to pull, but was knocked back as a stranger pushed from the other side. Or had Turaga Matau said "turn right" all those years ago? OOC: Open for interaction, Hammerlock (or anyone in the Wise Man’s Archive). Who wants to have the pleasure of knocking Ishi down a few steps, literally?
  8. mm, yeah I was definitely thinking protector-type weaponry for the adventurers. What if elemental powers were attributed to masks scattered throughout the island, so a protector or villager could gain elemental powers without having to be a "Master" of a given element?
  9. I was going to ask about Okoto, seems like I'm not the only one! I was thinking something were everyone is a villager to start, and then at some point there could be a quest to "send for" the Masters of each element, and then also the good old temple of time delve...
  10. IC: Ahkmou, Onu-Koro (outside Nuparu's Office) "So you have no idea whether or not I'll be sleeping indoors, wonderful," Ishi said with terse impatience. Then, realizing his old habit was dying hard, he tried again. "Alright, hopefully orders will reach you soon. In the meantime, if you have no objection, I'd like to spend my waiting at the Wise Man's, or in the bazaar enjoying the latest trinkets. Tell me, have your gearheads created any new marvelous contraptions? A mechanical ussal, perhaps?" He smiled in passing, already making his way toward the circular door, and the koro outside.
  11. OMG imagine an aquatic one with rotors and harpoons and so much throwbots goodness... Although, it's probably best for deep sea walking, instead of deep sea diving, at this point.
  12. all koros, and other settlements
  13. If you had or have a location in Ko-Koro, please PM me a brief description and general ideas of what it looks like. Thanks. Yes, I'm back on my koro map warpath.
  14. IC: Ahkmou, Onu-Koro (outside Nuparu's Office) "Sajis, Sajis..." He felt the name slide off his teeth into the air, and didn't particularly like the motion. "Well, I guess we've got the basics all worked out. You know me, I know you, and I'm not to leave this village until Nuparu and Kongu decide I'm trustworthy. What about Wise Man's Archive? Can I enjoy a guilty pleasure of scrolls while waiting? Or, better yet, is there a house ready for me?" Ishi tapped a heel on the floor, impatience creeping up behind better intentions. He'd hoped the akiri would call upon him quickly, but after his crash and burn conversation it seemed they planned a different approach: making him squirm with boredom. At least at the Wise Man's Archive the Informant could preoccupy himself with scrolls and travelers' tales.
  15. IC: Ahkmou, Onu-Koro (Nuparu’s Office) Her voice aroused his mind, and Ishi looked up from his contemplating the floor. The ussalry-woman stood in a stance similar to Onepu, proud, regulated, in control of her movements, but without the clattering medals. She was a soldier through and through, and the scars unhidden on the entirety of her left arm showed determination. “Yes, that’s me: Ahkmou,” Ishi replied while rising from the bench. He wondered how she saw him; a drowning man perhaps, reaching for an oar? Or maybe something more sinister? “It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance…” The words trailed off. He awaited a name to go with the Zatth.
  16. Is this on Tumblr? I need to reblog it forever. I'm laughing so hard.
  17. Wait, correct me if wrong, but isn't Ko-Koro's main gate technically a shrapnel field, blown to pieces by the black powder employed during the Assault? Did it get fixed IC or timeskip-wise?
  18. Excuse me while I go off into a corner and shout about how awesome I think Ambages is... and how happy I am he's back in play.
  19. IC: Ahkmou, Onu-Koro (Nuparu's Hut) As Akiri Nuparu glowered at Ishi, the po-matoran had a sudden sense of realization. It stung to be so smart, and yet similarly so mind-numbingly stupid about his own patterns. Did it again, he grimly realized. It started with the introduction, acting smart and being pushy, carried into the question and answer session with potential patrons, and finally ended with a disgruntled employer sending him off on some mission after chastising him for flaunted arrogance and narcissism. It worked with everyone, but Ishi wanted more than the usual outcome. He wanted to thrive, not survive, with each connection. As it was, surviving seemed to be the best he could do. He was doing something wrong, and Ishi finally figured it out as he took his first steps toward the door; the burning desire to jest and jibe threw him from frying pan to fire every time. Supplication repaired some, but not all, of the damage. Ishi always thought himself as the most empathetic of his siblings, Vera was a logarithm and Ryiu a brick wall of moral justice, but now he realized he was, in fact, the most emotional. His emotions were his weakness, and in overcompensating for inner shyness missed the most basic reality: what he said had an impact. The simplicity was terrifying. How stupid am I, an informant who can’t even recognize the emotions of his clients? On further thought, by now his hand was on the doorknob, Ishi determined it was not a lack of seeing emotions: angering patrons worked. Angering clients never worked precisely as he hoped, but could be replicated without much thought – an unconscious pattern of communication forged in the stress of the Polzin Mansion. It was sibling warfare, making a place for himself in the household by shoving with his prodigious intellect, and relying on Alarick to later glue the broken pieces of family grudgingly back together, pieces from different puzzles that didn’t belong in the same box. The door opened, silently swinging in to the office on well-maintained hinges, revealing the waiting room where Nuparu’s assistant sat at a small desk, and a row of empty stone benches lined the walls. Behind were the Akiri, Onepu, and Ishi’s unconscious behaviors. Ahead, the future seemed a little better. Bowing softly, he closed the door and waited on a cold bench for Onepu’s guards to escort him to a new home, and a new life.
  20. Keep up the temple runs. I wanna' join in sometime!
  21. IC: Ahkmou, Onu-Koro (Nuparu's Office) Kongu’s harsh, yellow eyes met Ishi’s own, and quickly won. "Ah, I must have been mistaken." He retracted his hand, only to impress his intellect on the akiri. There was much to learn from the matoran of air. Chest tattoos exposed the love of culture deeply rooted in Kongu’s heart, and the patterns of ink told stories of bravery similar to Onepu’s medals. Kongu was proud of, and loyal to, Le-Koro, but the volcanic ash streaking the grooves of his carapace told a story of continued determination to uphold koro unity, as did the distinctly po-koroan ceremonial daggers. Did Kongu come to Nuparu about the same issues as Jaller, or was there more to the puzzle. Kongu’s athleticism went beyond physical: where some saw a joker, Ishi saw searing wit. The po-matoran wondered what else he would learn about Kongu, in time.
  22. Do you refer to the koros as villages or towns or cities these days? Why?
  23. To address the question of suicide: remember when the whole major plot of this game was because of a tragedy? Suicide is a sad and horrible way for someone to pass, but I see nothing wrong with it being explored and written about in a safe container. It is, like Dorian's drug addiction and Kopaka's aforementioned behavior, pushing the boundaries of the age limit on this website, but as I was once told: use euphemisms. As for Staff choosing to push forward the timeline in Ko-Koro: thank you. As disappointed I am to see yet another major event be turned into a time-skip (of sorts) because of player inactivity, I'm overjoyed that we're moving forward. Hopefully this will help pull activity out of the mud it's slipped into once again.
  24. Depends if you're an archaeologist or Dr. Frankenstein I suppose.
  25. Sylus and Hakann. I'm seriously enjoying your interaction. Everyone, I really recommend a gander into snowy Ko-Koro to read up on this Ta-toa information broker's dealings with the psychotic literate.
