Perhaps some of the team (the ones currently in the lighthouse?) are stuck there- maybe captured by one of the two groups?
The Invincible is destroyed by the big squid monster, and the survivors of the wreck either make it to the lighthouse or get to the Infernavika. The Infernavika returns to Ga-Koro and drops off the wounded, gets supplies, and begins it's return journey to rescue the stranded people in the lighthouse.

I was thinking more along the line of a freak storm makes our mode of transport unavailable, putting us in the same position as the residents of the tower.
-
I'm incredibly dissapointed we didn't get to properly explore the lighthouse and the sunken city.
I'd prefer the characters getting trapped there for the duration of the timeskip, forced to coexist among the cannibals and Makuta worshipers, but I guess that isn't the general wish.

The hive attack always seemed an interesting/plot important/very exiting event, and there are many shorts that could be gained from that event. It would be difficult to animate however, considering the size.
Anyway, I have a few other ideas for plot-important scenes if you're asking for ideas.

I agree with pretty much everything in that post.
I sort of feel like a hypocrite saying that, because some of my characters have had very human and un-Bionicle attributes given to them.
This is actually because others have done this, and one of the real rules of collaborative storytelling is always saying yes to what the other person wants, so when someone else starts posting about bycicles or cars or rubber ducks, you have to assume they exist on the island.
It's unfortunate that the MNOLG feel is mostly ruined by some of these real world additions.

You forgot Laki in the member line-up, up top. Could you fix that?

And the others don't need to be anywhere near as complex as the Ussalry's. As long as we avoid complex ranks or codes, we should be fine.

Still, that's not a bad idea.
Three Great Tarakava raids make sense.
Nevermind, go with Benluke's idea. Maybe it formed after an especially large fishing boat was sunk.
-
I'd say Tarakava. They're more common and devastating I'd say.

Prolly as soon as Rahi started attacking. Informal at first, but eventually a rigid structure was formed.

Add Vinesmen under Gukko force.
They are the official units of the Gukko force which don't ride gukkos.
Otherwise, I love it.

I don't care how much you want to butcher of the Marines.
I don't like the word 'Legion', It implies a huge army for what is really a specialized unit. Maybe Riders, Warriors, Guard, Calvary, or Squadron?
I like the Footmen, or the Desert Legion for the Po-Matoran army.

Sanctum Police for the police?
Ko-Koro Guard for the normal military?
When it comes to military organizations I'm not that creative.
Also it'd be great if Francis could compile everything we determine here into the original blog post.

I have never even seen it inferred the the Matoran ever rebuilt themselves, and I think it's a bad idea to infer it to be canon (never really made any sense, IMO). Many people just like the look of the rebuilt matoran.
When you said you were going for a more roman look in Po-Koro, I was worried that you were not going to be faithful to the original online game, but I'm pleased to see you incorporated the old hut style dwellings with the new architecture many posts imply in your sketch.
This looks really cool. Although it won't be hard canon (I still try to pretend everything is hut dwelling style), it will be fascinating to have a reference point to each of the various locations and cool to see how you envision most of the Koros. I look forwards to seeing the maps.
