  1. I hated that season finale of The Mentalist.

I have spent every episode since waiting for Red John to come back. Because seriously, if they had ended that the way they had in Season 3, that would've been awesome. I still love that episode's ending and can't help but wish that they had just allowed him to be Red John, because that whole sequence was genuinely chilling. The finale there... was disappointing. And don't get your hopes up for the next season, man - where I am at the moment, it's all just been downhill from there.

i don't understand fashion boxes so i just throw together whatever i think looks cool or that i want to wear

some of it fits into the established groups, some of it doesn't

sometimes i just end up fighting the power without even trying

Exactly the same. Im like this as well with music and actually just with life in general. I think Im just... me.

    what even are music genres

    i mean seriously

if you're gonna stick things into sections, keep the sections clearly labelled and easily distinguished

and also don't change their definitions every five years

i don't even know what kind of music i like

some of my music is happy, some of it is sad, and some of it is 'indie rock', whatever that means

because many indie rockers don't seem to be indie, and that's confusing

  3. my record is two years
but it wasn't my fault, the touch screen on the phone died
current one has been with me over a year now, but it's well on its way to being an ex-phone

(the two year one still has a great camera that i occasionally use, though)

  5. To be fair, in movie-version Dorothy can't take off the shoes and the witch threatened to kill her in order to get them. A person who places the value of pretty shoes over a human life doesn't sound like a very good person to me. Also bear in mind that, from what I remember, no one actually asked Dorothy to kill the wicked witch. The wizard just wanted to her broom, and her death was an accident.

Pretty shoes that can magically take you to another world, or possibly just even anywhere you particularly want to go. And as far as the witch knows, Dorothy just killed her sister. She's gonna be a little quicker than usual with throwing out the death threats given the emotional state she must be in.

  6. I have to admit, it would really depend on the issue. In most cases I'd try to leave it behind me, but if it were something really major - homophobia, transphobia, racism, sexism, etc. - I must admit I'd have a fair amount of difficulty remaining friendly with them.

I have plenty of friends with whom I disagree on topics like politics and religion, and I don't mind that. There are even occasional jokes back and forth about the differing opinions, and you know, that's cool. We disagree with each other, but we don't take it so seriously that it becomes a problem.

But when someone who is otherwise a rational human sees fit to dehumanise others, although I'll try to bring them around to the idea of not doing so I will sever ties if they keep that frankly unhealthy and damaging opinion.

  7. I completely agree. Apparently, Devon originally would have turned out to be an enemy spy, but people loved him enough that it was changed (which was a good thing, because that would've taken away a lot from his character). Also, his actions in Season 3 added a nice alternative take on the character:

He does stuff that Chuck can't, but he can't manage being a spy. While he remains perfect, it does make the point that while everything he does is awesome, he can't necessarily do everything. It yet again prevents him from being a caricature, and also showcases Chuck's progress since the point where Awesome was meant to be everything he wasn't. They found a nice way of both showing that Chuck has found his place and that Awesome, awesome as he is, is still a human (not that the writing and acting don't make him come across as such regardless).

  8. The zoo where I live is not that great. It has a fair amount of animals, you might learn a little, but overall if you've gone to it once you've seen pretty much everything it has to offer.

However, I want to speak up in favour of my nearest aquarium, which has been under threat of closing for some time now - I have never left it without a great deal more knowledge than I had prior to entering. While it isn't great for keeping the animals in large environments, and I don't know enough about fish to say reliably whether or not the environments are suitable, it is brilliant for education. I guess there's just that difference between different managements that causes some zoos/aquariums to be educational and some to be smelly and unsatisfying, although as far as I know most zoos have made strides toward becoming the former.

This comment may not be as well-articulated as some of the others, but I just wanted to chime in with my own opinion.

I loved the first episode but the following two I thought lost something... charm or wit or the same sense of direction or something. And I didn't like the portrayal of moriarty either... still, gonna get around to season 2 soon, probably once season 3's done at this rate :P

I'm currently invested in way too many shows (most of them heartbreaking) and I'm mostly okay. :P I'd say try to keep going if you enjoy it

I've enjoyed all 3 of them so far, actually; as for Jim Moriarty, I don't really have an opinion on him yet (not sure whether like or dislike ^^")

But I need my time and emotional stability! D: (will do, though ^^)

    please like

    don't listen to the haters

    he's wonderful
