  1. IC: Rungui Rungui feigned a sigh. "That's a relief." He grinned, then glanced at the dummy. "Well, I'm fresh out of ideas."
  2. IC: Alfon "Think you can handle that responsibility?"
  3. IC: Alfon "I know I was joking before but is mutiny still on the table?"
  4. IC: Rungui "Promise not to shoot me with it?"
  5. IC: Volin "Dunno but Mata-Nui's got his priorities all wrong if he's mucking around in my personal life."
  6. Just wanted to quickly apologize to those I'm interacting with for my recent inactivity. School's picking up again so I might be slow on the draw for the next week or so.

IC: Vin Halett - New Atero (Parking District) Vin raised an eyebrow. What was the point of bringing everyone if they couldn't even talk to this guy? Never mind that Joe failed to convince him to lend them his ship in the first place, but now he was telling them that his contact didn't like him or strangers? Sounded more like coercion than persuasion. A show of force at best. Not that Vin minded, of course. "No promises," he shrugged. "But you got it, boss." He then leaned over to Sayana and whispered, "You ready for this train wreck?"

IC: Vin Halett - New Atero (Anvil Bar) "Request denied," Vin said flatly, followed by a firm tone that dared Sutrox to object. "You want first dibs, you earn it." He held the Glatorian's gaze momentarily before his eyes flickered to the server dropping off his food on the nearby table. Sliding over, he munched on a few fries, golden and crisp, then moved on to the burger stacked like a gourmet's heart attack waiting to happen. It was supposedly the fan favourite on the menu, and he could understand why. A jalapeño patty, pepper jack cheese, minced onion and garlic, all topped off by horseradish mayo? Looks like he'd have to come back to the Anvil Bar more often. "So Joe, gimme some details here. Where is this guy, and when do we go see him?"

IC: Vin Halett - New Atero (Anvil Bar) Vin sat quietly as he listened to the Matoran, nodding thoughtfully as he considered the possibilities. A few ideas came to mind, though none that he cared to share. Better to let the others wrestle with their doubts than to speak up. "If she's getting paid up front for supplies," Vin interjected. "Then it's only fair we all get a cut too." He took another sip of his drink. "That or nobody gets a single widget, and we settle for whatever's stashed in this fortress."
  12. IC: Volin "We're kinda the same that way," Volin said to Oceanna. "When Alfon left, so did I. Onyx stayed behind for a bit, but eventually his turn came. We didn't see each other much for next few years until we all ended up in the ILF by some weird miracle." He smiled inwardly at the memory. "It's a shame that never worked out in the end," he shrugged.

IC: Vin Halett - New Atero (Anvil Bar) "See, that's what I like to hear!" Vin exclaimed, nearly draping an arm around the Matoran's shoulders until he realized just how greasy the little guy really was. "Still, I like your fire, lady," he smiled coldly, giving the pretty xenophobe a friendly yet forceful pat on the shoulder. "We're gonna get along just fine." He grabbed a nearby chair and casually swung it around so its back faced him when he sat down. That's when a stranger suddenly intervened, apparently interested in joining their excursion. "We'd love to have you, gorgeous," Vin said to the Vortixx, raising his drink in welcome. "Might need a name later but for now, cheers." A short sip followed. "As for what I want," he gave Sutrox a wry smile. "I'm just looking for a good time."

IC: Vin Halett - New Atero (Anvil Bar) Vin shifted his gaze to the black and blue Glatorian, eyeing him up and down in a quick once-over. "We can be friends too but I'm sorry to say that romance isn't in the cards for you, pal. I like my men a little more...manly." He let his words sink in for a slow two seconds before a sly grin tugged at the edge of his lips, soon giving way to a good-natured laugh. "Just pushing your buttons," he chuckled, extending a hand. "Vin Halett."

IC: Vin Halett - New Atero (Anvil Bar) "Tell me a story about your childhood." "No." "Please?" "I said no." "Oh c'mon, Vin," she sighed, tracing a slender finger against his chest. "You act like you never had one." "That's because I was born at the tender age of twenty-one." The Vortixx sighed, clearly irritated as she flopped back onto her side of the bed. "You're impossible." "Took you this long to figure that out, huh?" Vin chuckled. "I mean, we've been doing this for what...four months?" "Seven months." "Same thing," he said breezily, sliding out of the sheets to put some clothes on. He could practically feel the glare of her fuscia pink eyes on his back, though he did little to acknowledge her while he shuffled around for his belongings. "Is this..." she lingered on the word. "Is this going anywhere? Like, somewhere serious?" Vin faltered as he headed for the door. A brief moment of silence passed before he twisted the knob, but not without casting a final backwards glance, blue eyes hopelessly apologetic. "You should know by now that I don't do 'serious'." ------- Vin squinted against the sun as he exited the apartment, and he felt his stomach rumble in the absence of breakfast. On mornings like these, he liked to go grab a bite to eat at the Red Star Diner, usually settling down for a hungry man's breakfast or their famous Bula berry crepes. Today he felt like something new, so he got to walking in hopes of finding a half-decent place to test his taste buds against. Eventually, his little stroll led him past the notice board where he spotted a few new scraps of paper. He read each of them out of curiosity, skimming over most of them until his gaze landed on the one about experimental vehicles, and the other about underwater treasure. Both prospects sounded incredibly alluring to him; maybe he could get his hands on experimental tech for his lovely aircraft, The Lady Specter, or he could go back to the sea in search for treasure, though the writing for that one left him doubtful of its legitimacy. Still, this Slim Joe was supposedly at the Anvil Bar, and Vin was hungry. ... "Here's hoping they do fish and chips in the morning." -------- The Anvil Bar's door swung open as Vin strode in. Ready to order, he sat by the counter not too far away from a pair of Glatorian who were chatting, and overheard the bit about Slimy Joe being in the corner before the bartender came to take his order. Thankfully, they did lunch at this time but Vin had to settle for a burger instead of his beloved fish and chips. At least he had a whiskey sour to cheer him up. "Be right back," he said to the bartender, then strode over to the duo talking to Slim Joe. "Can I be your friend too?" he asked from behind. "'Cause I also want in." A wink awaited the yellow-green Glatorian for when she looked at him. "Yeah, I'm here about your note, Jimmy," he said to the Matoran.
  16. Name: Vin Halett Species: Pridak’s species Gender: Male Powers: As is natural for his species, Vin possesses enhanced agility and strength, though nothing that would put a Kakama or Pakari wielder to shame. He’s also developed fantastic reflexes over his lifetime. Gear: Vin wears a Volitak alongside a small brown rucksack where he keeps most of his possessions, including binoculars. He also keeps a protosteel wakizashi sheathed at his hip, and a pouch of throwing knives strapped to his belt. Personal Aircraft: The Lady Specter Allegiance/Role: New Atero / Roguish Courier Appearance: Vin’s a tall, handsome young man armed with a dangerous smile and a set of piercing blue eyes. Built for parkour, his wiry physique packs a fair amount of lean muscle, and while he might tiptoe near the thin side of the line, it’d be a mistake to think of him as weak or fragile. He stands roughly a head taller than the average Toa, and his armour boasts a colour scheme of white and black complimented by flecks of red on his face and digits. Personality: Vin’s just another free spirit looking to have some fun on the road to survival. He doesn’t take life as seriously as he should and he knows it, a trait which often lands him into trouble, though it’s this devil-may-care attitude that accounts for most of his charm. The rest can be attributed to his cunning wit and silver tongue, both representative of a sharper mind than he lets on about. Very few realize that there’s some method to his madness, an underrated genius to his unpredictability. While he’s certainly no saint, he has shown to be a decent person with a good heart behind all the blunt sarcasm and questionable judgement calls. Bio: No one really knows what Vin was up to before he became a courier for New Atero, though there’s been some vague mention of thieving, bounty hunting, breaking young hearts worldwide, and turning one of Cliffside's bars into a smoldering crater. Each new rumour’s more outlandish than the last, and he’s usually pretty content with letting them slide since they rarely ever catch up to him in the public eye. A good deal true however, and his full resume (if you can find it) is nothing short of impressive. Most notably, he used to run as first mate to a pirate crew for the longest time, all the way up until they perished on one of their treasure hunts in Aqua Magna. Nowadays, he tries to get by through honest work, though he’s not sure how long it’ll last before he goes off looking for adventure again. Personal Aircraft: The Lady Specter Model: Jetrax Weapons: Two zamor launchers on each wing which fire corrosive spheres, and kanoka launcher which fires weaken discs. The corrosive spheres aren't incredibly potent on their own, however they have the potential to become real heavy hitters when pitted against targets struck by a weaken disc. Customization: True to her name, the Lady Specter’s a ghost in the desert. She flies swiftly and silently thanks to a pair of mufflers equipped on both engines, which serve to dampen their roar while also reducing the amount of fire they produce. This means that from afar, The Lady Specter’s incredibly difficult to hear and maybe a little less to see; only up close can you actually get an earful of her raspy groan, or the diminished glare from her engines. Appearance: For an aircraft, The Lady Specter’s as pretty as they get. Sleek and polished, her streamlined frame is clad in hues of black and gunmetal grey that allow her to effortlessly blend into the night or areas like the Black Spike Mountains. As Vin’s one true love, he runs the full gamut when it comes to caring for her, meaning he’ll always go the extra mile to keep her in pristine condition and up to speed with newer models.
  17. IC: Volin "We have an older brother but we're not biologically related," Volin explained in a breezy tone, waving a hand. "It's complicated. Long story short, Alfon and I grew up on the streets without parents, so Onyx took us in when we were still kids." Volin took another sip, thinking of a way to avert the topic. "How about you? Got any siblings?"
  18. IC: Volin ...is she telling me she slept with him? Volin shifted in his seat uncomfortably, unsure whether he was reading too much into Trava's answer or if she was actually as straightforward as he thought. He was tempted to pursue the topic, even if it had the potential to be awkward, but Oceanna cut in before he could ask any questions. "He used to be, way back in our teens" Volin started. "We used to live in Xa-Koro, then some travelling circus popped into town and Alfon joined up. Stuck with that bunch for a few years before he called it quits to move on to bigger and better things. Last I checked, he's a cop in Le-Koro though he'll get bored and move on soon."
  19. School and life are already burying me under a mountain of nonstop responsibilities, and I can barely keep up with the BZPRPG as it is. Still, I might give this a go.
  20. IC: Volin Volin shot Trava a curious glance. "Oh yeah? And how'd you run into him exactly?"
  21. IC: Dalyn Dalyn erupted from her seat in a flash, nocking an arrow as quickly as she could in her abrupt transition to face the rear guardsmen. Her eyes immediately locked onto the one with the crystal prisms, identifying her as the bigger threat out of the pair, and she released the bowstring no more than a second later before preparing for another fast shot. "Get the guy with the hat," she said to no one in particular.
  22. IC: Volin Volin took another sip of his tea. "His name's Alfon."
  23. IC: Volin You mean you were homeless, Volin thought, stifling a snort. "You'd have a lot to talk about with my brother if you ever meet him. He used to do street performances all the time when we were kids before he went pro with a circus."
  24. I'll get a post up tomorrow afternoon when I get back from classes
