  1. Hey Crezdonn, can you please check your messages?
  2. Hi, assuming that there is still a WMKK available, I'm wondering if I could get a shipping estimate to Australia?
  3. Ah, I was interested in the slizers. Thanks anyway!
  4. Where abouts are you shipping from? Whats shipping like to Australia?
  5. Pearl gold is the same as Brutaka/Modern Gold. The normal, flat gold one is the same color as Takanuva, Lhikan and Iruini. The difference will be the same as this (Pearl gold being on the left):
  6. Victoria, although I'm not sure shipping rates change much between states.
  7. Hey, I've got a few of the masks your looking for, like the 3 haus, a blue kakama, a TNG miru and a green stripe infected hau nuva. Would be interested in the lime rau, medium blue pakari and maybe the gold hau and kaukau too. Not sure which masks of mine you would prefer though. Also just to mention - I'm in Australia, not so I'll leave it up to you.
  8. Wow, nice work! You've pulled off the accuracy well alongside its scale. Have you thought about sharing the model online (like on thingiverse)? I'd love to print this myself.
  9. Honestly I try to pay more attention to hips and shoulders, they seem to be much more definitive. But honestly, nobody should be annoyed that a line of sets built off one base skeleton design don't have diverse body proportions. I hate it especially when people criticize both Hahlis and Gali mistika for it too. The inika build was disproportionate for male body types, let alone female ones.
  10. Based off that image that was shown in the presentation, they seem to look similar to the chima speedorz packaging we got this year, which I thought was pretty decent. I'm not sure if you'll be able to fit a built figure into them though. Anyway, I did love the canisters. But I think they only really worked because they were involved in the story at first; as toa canisters, suvas, matoran spheres, stasis chambers, etc. However once we got to 2006 (and some of the 'creative' canister designs), they started becoming a little questionable. Not only this, but they were must have been pretty expensive to produce and not to mention hardly eco-friendly compared to plain, size efficient boxes. The foil bags were good too, in that they were easy to store, space and price efficient. However, it produced often badly malformed sticker sheets, instruction manuals and sometimes pieces, if they were flexible. So in my opinion, boxes are the optimal solution.
  11. I think on Flickr Deevee mentioned that he suspected that only 800 of the masks were given out at NYCC (200 per day), 100 at the VIP thing, and the rest pictured here. Of course, this probably will make them easier to obtain.
  12. The distribution problems are here in Australia too. The first wave of IFB was realesed sort of sporadically at different stores, and I have only seen the second wave at one store in the past month. Also, I doubt we are getting any special events, but that's regular.
  13. From what I've seen, the gear box seems to have an extra gear attatched with a friction pin that acts as a stabilizer, which is nice. Or at least room for one anyway. But yeah, I'm excited for them. It's something new to ccbs, and so it's good to see them expanding and experimenting with the system to improve it.
  14. Pohatu was my first, and one of my favorite characters. Also his set design looks rad. So of course I'll buy him first. After that, maybe Kopaka? I'm a little torn, all the designs look great. It'll probably depend on the price point too, prices have gotten anything but kinder in Australia which sucks.
  15. Definitely the Noble Matatu, not only is it one of my favorite mask powers, but I also really like its shape and design. I think its the way that the mask is segmented, as well the angular nature of it. I suppose a close contender could be the Miru Nuva, it was one of the few Nuva masks that didn't look to weirdly shaped, in my opinion.
  16. The mctoran were what got me into Bionicle, when I got Jala from Mcdonalds. They were pretty good quality, and they were compatible with other Bionicle parts. However, they had there flaws: they couldn't hold anything other than the disks, and their heads behind the masks were quite ugly, and also had no eyes/brains like the Toa and Turaga. Luckily now its possible to attach the toa heads to them, using this part. Also, I think Onepu was one of the coolest, as well as recognizable. Macku was probably my favorite though.
  17. Yeah, he gave me a PM actually. I've already organized to get the yellow kaukau, but thanks for the offer. I'd say about $10? That's what I've payed for most misprint noble masks.
  18. Hey, an Australian Kanohi collector here. I am currently wishing to complete my collection of 2001 masks, and I require a few additions. I am happy to purchase these off you, or trade with you (see below). Seeking: 1x Misprint Trans-Yellow Kaukau 1x Misprint Blue Noble Ruru 1x Misprint Green Noble Matatu 1x Billund Copper Komau (or the entire packet with the card and Copper Huna.) Prices can be negotiated, or we can trade, if anything I have interests you: Offering: Money 1x Green Hau 1x Teal Miru 2x White Miru 1x Blue Kakama 2x Brown Kakama 1x Green Kakama 2x Rust Orange Kakama 1x Orange Pakari 1x Silver Akaku 1x Light Gray Huna 1x Orange Huna 1x Light Blue Mahiki 1x Lime Green Mahiki 1x Orange Mahiki 2x Light Blue Komau 1x Tan Komau 1x Lime Green Ruru 1x Dark Gray Matatu I have many other parts too, and if you are after anything in particular feel free to ask. Also, as I mentioned before, I live in Australia, so any trades will need to be able to ship to there.
  19. Honestly, I can't understand why characters even had genders in the MU. In the story, they never really made out any differences between male and female, aside from using different pronouns, and the whole ordeal with Orde (which was quite silly, in my opinion.) The only reason I can image that genders were present, is that from a marketing point of view, slapping genders on characters makes them easier to relate to from a human viewpoint, or at least for the masses anyway. I doubt LEGOs main market would be educated much in genders and whatnot. As for Plant Lifes colours, I always imagined their colours to be lime green with light/sky blue. I could see pink working for glowy bits and highlights like eyes and weapons, but not as a main colour.
  20. Kongus Suletu, gosh. It looked like it was supposed to be a Makuta Kanohi. Speaking of Makuta Kanohi, I always disliked the Mistika Matuka masks. They looked way to bug like for me, and any 'mask' that doesn't fit on any sort of head is just a no go for me. The Phantoka Akaku also bothers me; it looks far too similar to Nuju Metrus Matatu. But the biggest problem with kanohi, I think, was that often different versions would look nothing like their counterparts. The worst was probably Mistika Hau, or maybe the Miru Nuva.
  21. The rumours prompted me to try and complete my 2001 Kanohi collection (just missing the yellow kaukau and copper komau now), as well as buying parts for Onua Mata, to complete my set of the Toa Mata.
  22. I'm excited to see where this goes, especially if you can get some better quality music in there! However, I can't help but think that injection molding/printing through shapeways and dyeing parts a little bit of a hassle. I would think it would be easier to print those things on a local 3d printer and either brush them with acetone or use the acetone gas method on them. In my experiences, something like an Up Mini is quite good for parts this scale, especially the more complex curves and what not. As was previously mentioned, I would love too see those models on thingiverse or something likewise, I think they would be pretty cool to print.
  23. Vanquish the forces of evil with a team of six heroes; then repeat about 6 times until you actually vanquish said evil (mostly).
  24. Since we seem to be getting a greater diversity in lego colors lately, hopefully we can see more specific color schemes set to specific elements, avoiding clashes like water/lighting/psionics or earth/magnetism/gravity.
  25. Honestly, I imagine the new potential return would be a reboot. And that doesn't bother me too much, so long as they don't mess with the overall environment and aesthetic of Bionicle we had in the past years, or at least not too much. Of course, it will be different though: it's been four years, and I assume they've learn a few more things on what sells well with Ninjago and Chima. Also, if it is a reboot, it could also be something that factors in the use of the Vahi and some sort of time-reset, sort of Madoka Magica style. Of course that is idealistic and unlikely.
