  1. OOC: Update on Kyoushi IC: Seiryuu (Castle Kyoushi, Oki) Minami's condition was improving. That was good. In spite of their apparent alliance to the new Dastana government, Kyoushi had elected to completely shut itself off from the rest of the archipelago. The cause? A sudden downturn in Minami's condition. But now she was getting better. Not healthy, but healthier. For now. She was even able to walk a few steps with a cane; she collapsed immediately after, of course, but that was promising. In spite of this good news -- or perhaps because of it -- Seiryuu couldn't focus on his normal menial duties. So he was doing something he hadn't done in a long time. "First, crossing sound. Second step, surpassing distance. Three steps, arrival. Awaken, Sandanzuki!" "... What manner of nonsense is this? It would be advisable for myself to return to the basics. Let the Battlemasters attend to their own lofts in the sky. To seek to join them would be foolhardy." Withdrawing the sword from the target, Seiryuu sheathed the blade, and knelt down before suddenly rising again, drawing the sword and attacking at the same moment. "... Sloppy. The tatami is only halfway cut."
  2. IC: Asa Wake up. Dress up. Pack up. Lock up. Eat up. Head up. Trip up. ... Look around. Spin around. Walk around. Run around. ... Get dizzy. Get lost. Get back. Get rest. Get up. Get going. Get into town. OOC: trying to get back, again...
  3. IC: Asa (Chiisai Ryuu) In the submarine I found myself waking up. What day is it now?
  4. So, about 9 months ago, I left without warning. Now I'm back. Sort of. Maybe. I might drop off the face of the planet again, but hopefully not. What's gone down since I was gone?
  5. IC: Susan "What the... !" Dingo squadron's leader had just been shot down. More to the point, the enemy had Raptors too. "Evenly matched... Not for long one way or another..." Given how easily how that enemy Raptor had countered the missile shot at it, it seemed that a normal approach would be useless here. Fire-and-forget tactics would serve as nothing more than a distraction. But a distraction could be useful. "Fox-three!" A radar guided missile freed itself from the wing of the NaF-022, hurtling towards one of the enemy fighters, presumably a Raptor itself, even as Susan began to climb in altitude while keeping an eye on her target via the radar. Her hand rested on the transformation controls, even as she hoped that she wouldn't have to use them...
  6. IC: Yasmin "Right... There was an incident involving a bus recently too... No better place to start I guess."
  7. IC: Susan The thing about the Raptor was that it was a finicky machine. After all, it could be considered a "prototype" for whatever would follow it. As such, it had its bugs; this necessitated a proper preflight check every time that the pilot wished to take off. "... ARROW is here, the logs are here, good..." Hopping out of the cockpit, Susan gave one final tour of the aircraft. "Rivets good; brake pads good; tires good; flight controls good..." Hopping back into the cockpit, Susan did some final checks (takeoff requirements, density altitude, best angle of climb, best glide speed, emergency checklists) before starting up the AW, taxiing it to the runway.
  8. IC: Agent 5040 "Yes. We stand a better chance in a group rather than as individuals after all."
  9. IC: Agent 5040 "I have no name. You may refer to me as Agent 5040 however. Was imprisoned here until... Now."
  10. IC: Agent 5040 Warping next to the assorted group just in time to see No Name blast a hole in the wall, 5040 nodded at them. (He would have helped, but his player was sleeping)
  11. IC: Agent 5040 "... What just happened?" Seeing as the forcefield seemed to be down, the Selahkian grabbed his plasma Cannon and went to take a look. "... It's down." The door to freedom had been opened. But if the rmbling of the ground as indicating, the gatekeeper was coming... 5040 had a choice to make. Either he could just use his mask to escape, or he could hang back and help the others. Neither seemed more favorable at the moment. Besides, there was the fact that he didn't know in which direction freedom lay...
  12. Incoming Fobbit: Name: Isaac Saechao Age: 28 Gender: male Occupation: UAV Internal Pilot (E-5) Appearance: Isaac stands at 5'11" and weighs 155 lb. His head is nearly shaved bald (if he let it grow out it would be black), brown eyes. Both of his legs below the knees have been replaced by prosthesis. When not in uniform, he usually wears tracksuit style clothes. Equipment: MQ-9 Reaper UCAV - Maximum munitions loadout: AGM-114 Hellfire (x4) and GBU-12 Paveway II (x2). Also can be loaded with external fuel tanks instead of munitions. Isaac is considering petitioning for a new model due to the Reaper being horrifically outdated. NOTE: While Isaac usually pilots the Reaper, he will sometimes pilot other types of UAVs specialized for different purposes (ie: CQ-10 Snowgoose for cargo delivery)Pencils and paperRadio communicators (for relaying information to frontline troops)Skills: reconnaissance, troop coordination (mission control), occasional air support and targeted killing. Was trained in AW piloting but has since retired from that role. Personality: Isaac gives off a very relaxed and casual air; sometimes in a positive way, sometimes in the manner of boredom. However, this doesn't mean that he slacks off at work; he just doesn't get uptight and anxious when performing tasks while still managing to stay alert. He also... Prefers to avoid dangerous situations when he can, hence why he works in a support role rather than on the battlefield. Some call him a coward, but he prefers to think of it as being smart. He used to be very gung ho when younger, but has mellowed out a lot. Bio: Like many young men, Isaac joined the Federation military when he was 18. Passing through Basic, he was initially assigned to repairing Air Force planes before being selected for Arsenal Walker piloting. A role he took with gusto, Isaac was known for his daring antics on the battlefield. Then his AW got blown up. After getting out of the hospital, Isaac, empowered with a new sense of caution, did his best to work his way into the Rear Echelon. Eventually, after taking the appropriate tests, he got a job piloting surveillance UAVs. Weakness: Isaac has somewhat overspecialised in his role as a UAV pilot. His combat skills have grown weak from disuse and he has next to no knowledge of other support roles like mechanics. Also, the fact that he's missing both of his legs below the knees can't be forgotten.
  13. Hm... Now I have an idea for a infantry soldier myself...
  14. IC: Yasmin "So..." Bringing the report from the forensic team and the coroner's report in front of her, Yasmin began poring over the details again.
  15. IC: Susan Susan wasn't sure how to respond, having blanked out for a moment. ***************************** As the Lance Corporal watched the parade, she heard a very distinct vibration pattern coming from her pocket. "An attack?" Susan immediately began running back to base, wondering why she had chosen to wear her dress blues on this day.
  16. IC: Susan "Also waiting for the festivities to start?" Susan asked Freddie, whom she had just noticed.
  17. IC: Susan Leave... What to do when on leave... This was probably going to be the last day off she had in a while; it would be good to make it count. But on what? So Susan was currently sitting in a coffee shop (coincidentally, the same one that Andrei was sitting in), sipping an iced coffee while looking over an airplane magazine. Not the greatest start ever to Colony Day...
  18. IC: Nasus "... Huh?" Why were the Jaeger's weapons still pointed at them? Just as GunJaeger began to circle around the Rivet, it took the rogue Jaeger's shots head on. "Nnngh! You..." The left arm of the Jaeger was more or less gone. The structural integrity of the chest... Something she didn't want to think about. The GunJaeger's loudspeakers would loudly broadcast every profanity known to the Matoran Universe even as it's wrist Cordak launcher unloaded on Rivet, both shoulder cannons firing wildly, as the GunJaeger began approaching the enemy Mk III.
  19. Name: Susan Geraldine Bellona Dreary Age: 26 Gender: female Occupation: AW Pilot, anti-aircraft (dogfighting) specialization. Lance Corporal (E-3). Appearance: 170 cm. 65 kg. Brown hair (bob cut), brown eyes, fair skin. Very shapely and well-toned physique. Almost always either in dress uniform or in a g-suit. Face almost always wearing a smile. Equipment: FAW-022 Raptor, Survival Kit, KA-BAR, Handgun (9mm) Skills: Susan specializes in piloting aerial vehicles, having originally trained to become an airplane pilot before the introduction of the FAW-022. She has experience with many airplane models as well as with helicopters. Personality: Off-duty, Susan is polite, professional, and pleasant to be around. When in combat, however... Let's just say the heat of battle brings out the worst aspects of her personality. Namely, urges to utterly annihilate every single enemy in sight. Notably, she only becomes a raging, sadistic monster when on the battlefield; tick her off anywhere else and she maintains perfect, if irritated and sarcastic, decorumm Bio: Born to a family of pilots, Susan grew up around planes. Her dream as a child was to become a pilot, joining the air force go learn how to fly a plane. Learning quickly, she ended up as one of the Federation's rising stars, going from transport pilot to combat specialist in a few short years. Due to her performance record, she was among the pilots selected to test the new Arsenal Walker model FAW-022... And she's been stuck with it since. Weakness: Susan is not really a ground combat specialist. While she is very good in the air, she has trouble with simple tasks like walking and coordinating the arms of the mech (though she suspects that might be a hardware problem). Status: DESTROYED Base Model: FAW-022 Raptor Designation: NaF-22 (Not an F-22) Appearance: NaF has been painted in a blueish grey color similar to that of a military jet fighter. Armaments: Rifle (100mm mech version of M1 Garand), Head-mounted Vulcan Guns (20mm), Combat Knives, Missiles x8 (AIM-120 AMRAAM x6, AIM-9 Sidewinder x2) Weakness: Susan suspects that some of the fly-by-wire systems in her AW are defective. While no problems have been detected so far in airplane mode, in bipedal mode Susan finds it hard to balance and move around. Or maybe she's just paranoid about falling over and/or tripping over something. Regardless, she tends to stick in airplane mode and in the air a lot. Pilot: Susan
  20. IC: Nasus There wasn't much else Nasus could do at this point; both of the Kaiju were too close to the main defending Jaeger to safely shoot at- A third Jaeger? And why was it firing on the defender? How... Who would... This was unacceptable. If the pilot of that Jaegar had sided with the Kaiju, then they would suffer an even worse fate than the monsters that had chosen to serve. Nasus's mind dreamt up a fantasy of crucifying the pilot of that rogue Jaeger high over Xia even as two powerful shots of plasma from her shoulder cannons shot out towards the rogue machine. OOC: GunJaeger attaching Rivet.
  21. IC: Nasus - GunJaeger (Stelt) Approaching the scene of battle, Nasus spotted the two Kaiju engaging the solitary Jaeger from afar (with the help of her Jaeger's Ruru). "Cannons ready to go..." One of the two large plasmacasters aimed at the Kaiju in the water (Tonitrui) and fired a powerful burst of plasma at it.
  22. IC: Nasus - GunJaeger (Stelt) "Another day, another dollar..." There had been an alert to a Kaiju attack on Stelt. It seemed that there was a Steltian Jaeger engaging the threat already, but the command staff from Xia had decided to send over one of their own just in case. So Nasus was going for a jog in her Jaeger. A jog to Stelt. "Yawn..." The island coming into view, Nasus primed all of her weapons before taking a slower pace to help her aim better. "Shoulder plasmacasters check, Cordak launcher check..."
  23. all of these at once Both of these statements are true.
  24. IC: Minami "Wasn't it just her shoulder that was seriously injured?" Minami asked, standing next to the food cart she had wheeled in. Somehow nobody had acknowledged her presence. "The rest of her body should be fully recovered; she just needs to lay easy on tasks like heavy lifting or wielding weapons in her right arm."
  25. IC: Agent 5040 Left shoulder is killing me... Left ribcage is killing... Ribs? Ribs... The Agent wasn't feeling too well. Feeling somewhat dizzy and with vision starting to blur, the Selahkian Agent couldn't focus enough to activate his Kualsi, taking the Spirit Arrow in the left shoulder. Ok, I'm done for... Leaning against the all to support himself, 5040 wildly fired off blasts of plasma from the Hagah Plasma Cannon at Xara, White, and Green.
