  1. I think you might have applied the dust a little too thick.
  2. Linework seems a bit rough, and it's hard to make out some of the detail on the skull spiders due the the mottled dark blue. I do like the horns though, they're a nice touch.
  3. Yup, Gali has been shipped off and has probably arrived in Enfield by now. As for the kakama, that was sold a while ago.
  4. So, seeing as it's a bit silly for me to keep making new posts every time I do something, I'm just going to be putting everything into this collection from now on. Only the stuff I like the best though. Let's start off with some masks from Brickfair VA 2015. Next up, some fully painted toa. And lastly some masks that I probably already have in other posts I've made, but I'll put here anyway. UPDATE: More masks now, including another tribal set! A pair of conversions as well And of course, several G2 masks. Also, for additional views/if you want more timely updates I have a DeviantArt, a Flickr, and a Tumblr. If you would be interested in commissioning a mask from me I have a site for that here.
  5. I like the color gradient, adds a nice bit of depth to the picture. The torso seems a bit long though. Also, I would suggest using a more solid brush in the future, this looks a little bit blurry up close.
  6. The legs seem a bit short to me, but pretty good!
  7. Yeah, back in 2001 we didn't know who the seventh toa was going to be, and somehow someone got people thinking that it was this bad photoshopped image. Maphrox already put the picture up, but here it is again.
  8. Reminds me of those oracle dudes from Jak and Daxter. Excellent work!
  9. Yeah, as I said I changed up the color scheme a bit. The bolts look a lot better against blue than they would if it were metal on metal. I don't know about soon, but I will definitely be doing more of the toa in due time.
  10. I am planning on doing the other ones some day, though I'll probably be experimenting with different styles for the ones I buy myself. Well the price would be variable depending on the piece count and how extensive the modifications were. Shoot me an e-mail at modaltcom@gmail.com and we'll discuss it more in depth.
  11. Firstly, I'd like to thank everyone for the compliments! Yeah, I was trying to find a way to put a third stripe on there so it would look more like an actual clownfish, but I decided that it looked better if I kept the stripes going along the segmentations of the mask itself. The masks themselves are plain old hobby paints. The sea moss is sand glued onto the armor. As for the barnacles and starfish, I sculpted those out of putty.
  12. Wait, was there an announcement that you were doing the other 5 as well? I must have missed that but agree with Munty here, that would be cool to see together. I think I said on Tumblr that I would try to get all six if I could come up with the cash. It will probably take a while if it happens at all.
  13. The paint just doesn't stick to those parts very well, and started chipping almost immediately.
  14. No, paint chips off the legs pretty easily so I'm going to keep them unpainted.
  15. So this time around I decided to make some modifications to the set before painting it up, and to change the color scheme up a bit from the original. More angles can be found here. You can also check out some of the other stuff I've painted here and here.
  16. Nah, I'd say it's pretty close to what I do.
  17. And on that note. I seen some more of your masks via some internet surfing and wanted to know if you planed on using this topic to post any more of them? Or is this just going to be for 2015 masks? I usually make a new post every so often and organize them into themes. It might be better to make a collection, but that might turn into a pretty lengthy post, and all the masks I've painted can be viewed on my flickr or deviantart, which I have links to in the post, and have a more convenient way of searching for and viewing masks.
  18. I honestly can't remember at this point, sorry.
  19. It's still available to buy at the moment.
  20. Not sure how I would take cash, or even checks for that matter. Unless you came to my house or something... Mail-in cash was what I had in mind. Alrighty, so mail-in cash/check it is. Let's take the communication to e-mail at this point though, modaltcom@gmail.com

  22. $10 for the 2015 masks, $7 for the others, plus shipping. Yeah, I get all my masks off of bricklink and people aren't willing to sell them for very cheap yet. Maybe if we get ones in undesirable colors I can buy those for cheap.
  23. Matt Damon? Be careful what you wish for...
  24. Yeah, sorry about that, the host for the site seems to be having problems again. All the masks I've painted are available for your viewing pleasure here or here though! For the 2015 masks the price is $10 plus shipping at the moment due to relative scarcity of the masks, but I just so happen to have a spare 2015 kaukau, ripe for a commission.
