  1. Entry name: Amarii Amarii was once a noble warrior like the Toa. One day, however, she unfortunately stumbled upon a mysterious mask - the one we only know as the "Mask of Ultimate Power" - and in her excitement about the find tried to take it with her. The mask, however, corrupted her as she touched it. Her arm crumbled down and her will was broken, her mind now controlled by the mask. To this day, she's a watchful guardian blocking whoever tries to reach it. 2. Entry #1: Nuva With Ekimu and Makuta both asleep and the Masks of Power scattered across Okoto, Nuva saw his chance to rise. Equipped with a Mask very similar to the one of a hero, he often seems like a friend to the villagers, only to betray them in pursuit of his own goals. The being who just calls himself "Nuva" now roams the lands of the ruins in search for the three masks. Will the Toa be able to stop him in time? 3. Looking forward to seeing what you will cook up, man. By the way this contest is sounding, it seems as if the winning entry may actually be featured in the new story somewhere. At least, that's my explanation of why LEGO doesn't want us to make it look too futuristic. I have something in store already that I'm submitting to this contest. Seeing that we can enter multiple entries I'm definitely going to build something entirely new though! Great to hear of your excitement towards my entry already @Staff: Where should I post my entry/entries?
  4. Can't reply to all the comments here, but thanks a lot from my side to everyone who played it! Also, many thanks on the compliments regarding the dialogues I wrote
  5. It's amazing to see our project on the front page! This way more people can see what we do and explore Mata Nui again, very nice!
  6. I played a first version today (closed pre-alpha for the staff). You're going to get something amazing.
  7. As one of the writers I also welcome all of the new staff members! We're already seven people now. I'm sure this will boost the project a lot! Monthly updates is a great idea and I can't wait until the 6th October for the first prerelease!
  8. That's esxactly the same sky! And now that you mention it... the silhouette of the Great Spirit Robot is clearly visible. Does this mean something? I can't imagine him taking that exact same picture without a reason, even it it's not anything official.
  9. Apart from all that speculation; the art is simply amazing. The Turaga with the iconic Bionicle symbol at the top of his staff, looking onto the sea... a really beautiful scene. I also liked how he described the picture. Calling us fans the Turaga who have great knowledge but yet cannot see into the future. It's really sad he isn't going to continue doing the artwork for the future Bionicle storyline.
  10. You saw the effect, yay! It was intentional of course, those images were once very sharp and had balanced colors, but I thought the perspective of a Forgotten Warrior might be different, so I added some blur and intesity effects. I was quite surprised by those shots aswell. I had them on my hard drive for some time and when I took them out for editing I noticed that something went wrong... but the camp is so overgrown by the nearby plants by now that I couldn't retake them. I fear little errors like that just happen. It's always great to hear when somebody points out specific pictures he liked the most! The ones you mentioned are pretty new ones so that might be the reason they look better Solunus is one of the characters that weren't originally intended to be so important but the character developement... just happened. And like I see my plan has worked again... I set discord into another reader's mind about who are the "bad guys" The gap is never completely filled, just like the other Toa's story in Uprising. It could be a part of the Writing Contest... But the real reason none of the Farside Toa appeared is that they are still on their way back after the encounter with the undead which infected Theran. The walk takes some time, you know? Thanks a lot for the in-depth review! I forgot to update the post here, but the sixth chapter has been released. You can find out what happens to Theran there!
  11. Like I guessed, the Mask of Creation. Great! I really can't wait for the finalized set art and the characters themselves!
  12. Chapter 5: Renegade has been released!
  13. The fourth chapter has been released!
  14. They have gotten upgraded Inika-styled armors, just like it was told to you in Chapter 1. Haven't you recognized the obvious similarities between the "recolored Toa Nuva" and the team here? They also share the same names. I wonder how you could've missed that
  15. The animation and model designs in the Hero Factory TV series (which was pretty close to the "Legend Reborn"), but please... don't make it with over-the-top awkward enemies who joke all the time and then call the whole theme more lighthearted, Lego! D: I could be wrong, but last I checked, hamfisting Vezon everywhere was 100% Greg. On a different note, I'm unsure on this mask's design. On the one hand, it's pretty complicated. On the other hand, it's closer to a 2001-esque mask design than anything from 2006-2008. Ah yes. That. Vezon's world travelling was probably the second worst idea after the red star explanation, which wasn't just bad for the impact dead characters had, but also took out all the mystery.
  16. I don't think that's fair. A writer and basically everybody who creates anything imrpoves over time. His books became better, and I don't see how he can "fall back on bad habits" just because there's a different (old) name. It's not like he purposely decided to make Bionicle more complicated.
  17. It was stated before that those leaked images (not by TTV, by the way - It was another source, a single person) are still counted as "leaked" and thus are unofficial. Even this new image doesn't change that, so I guess you have to wait until it's officially confirmed or displayed by Lego.
  18. There have been gold masks since day one. Also, reboot =/= remake. There's no reason why a reboot would have to hit the same notes as the original, it would kind of defeat the point of rebooting. You don't consider Batman Begins to be a remake of the Adam West movie, do you? Hm. That makes sense then. I never knew a reboot was a complete rewrite of a story. All options are still open. But I really hope it's a continuation, there's nothing to be rebooted in my opinion.
  19. You're right, maybe it's not confirmed. But I don't think they would do a reboot without some tie to the past storyline. A golden Kanohi mask wasn't introduced until 2003 (and this is in no way the Avohkii) and before that the conflict was all about the creatures of the island. It wouldn't make any sense to fully rewrite the story and only keep the six Toa the same. I think that a continuation is more likely here.
  20. Seems to confirm it isn't going to be a reboot. This mask is different from aynthing we saw before! So what could this mask possibly be? Some have guessed the Mask of Creation... but that one belongs to Artakha, right? Why would he part with it? I' also very interested to see how this will tie up the loose ends of Greg's continuation stories. When the Toa Mata return that must also mean that Pohatu and Kopaka get down from that red star... It's only a matter of time until the official release... or until Lego takes this one down as well I also like "Queen Breeze". What a fitting name.
  21. Another chapter, the third, has been added!
  22. That's great! Thanks for the comment.
