  1. It's interesting, but the setting is so far a slightly generic enchanted forest. I haven't made up my mind about it yet.
  2. And the Yesterday Quest, do the Toa and Gelu escape the Vorox and find the Great Beings?
  3. The element lords in their everyday forms were considered very beautiful, for instance the Lord of Jungle had a coat of ferns and orchids, and the Lord of Ice was covered in frost-crystal patterns. Their more frightening forms seen in the comics were used for war.
  4. These are weird... really weird. Every character is really off-model, the Protectors are Toa-sized, the Toa are basically clones of each other, and the Mask of Air has horns.
  5. I think the worst scaling was how the Bohrok Kal were supposed to be huge compared to Bohrok. They could have given them a new, longer limb design or something but no, they didn't even try.
  6. Just imagine a Poly/Deadeye/Punch Kaita.
  7. Oops, didn't realize you had a whole topic for this. Pretend my comment on it was put here.
  8. That pedestal is amazing! It looks so authentic.
  9. A ridiculousness-fueled comedy done well!
  10. Interesting... I'd argue that the villages of Mata Nui actually declaring war on each other is almost as unlikely as a Toa of Pie, but I'm enjoying it nonetheless.
  11. I can't say much of it surprised me, but it's still a beautiful, moving story. Krakua in particular is a character I've always liked. Also, the Agori are going to flip out when they invent spaceflight!
  12. I love how it's turning out! But weren't Kanoka invented long after the Barraki's reign? Perhaps you could change mentions of Kanoka launchers to generic "disk launchers."
  13. Interesting, I wonder if there is any way for good to prevail with six more villains running around Voya Nui.
  14. Also Era's speech is already gold, Dane's is like neon lemon.
  15. IC Mahrika Courtyard With some difficulty and some more reluctance, Mahrika reversed his throw move and set Caoutchouc back on his feet, then stretched out the tightness in his back. "What now? Am I to be accused of dishonorable actions?"
  16. IC Mahrika Courtyard "Okay, that's it." As Caoutchouc attacked Fang again, Mahrika rushed at him from behind. "You want to know what violence is?" He attempted a grab around the Elastic's waist and pulled back with his full strength, hoping to make a wrestling throw. "This!"
  17. IC Mahrika Courtyard (OOC: Timeskip/bunnying fine with me.) Feeling a strong sensation of déjà vu, Mahrika took a step closer to Caoutchouc and Fang, arms raised cautiously. "Hey, Caout, there's no honor in beating Fang when he's in this state. You two can settle this later." He faced the Elastic-Rahkshi as he said it, but gave Fang a warning glance as well.
  18. I'll add a pic of the head design as soon as I can!
  19. But there's already another thread trying to decode the symbols. Anyway, I'd first like to say that I'm a huge fan of your work on Matoran, Tolkien, and it inspired my choice of the literal/figurative split for prefixes and suffixes. As for the meanings of Makuta and Ekimu, I don't think we can at this point say any specific interpretation is most likely, and I freely concede that name pronunciations had no intended meaning. But then, neither did the names themselves (except those derived from real words). But the main reason for preferring my own system is that it has standardized rules and gets a connection out of both the "m_" and "k_" syllables found in Makuta and Ekimu. After all, the (supposed) translations both contain the ideas "mask" and "agent," so I thought assigning the two phonetic links to the two meaning links would be appropriate. Anyway, just for fun here are the reversed names using my interpretation: mu-eki: masker; mask giver. From eki: mask, and mu: doer, maker mu-eki > maki/ variant miki eki-uta-mu: mask gatherer; mask collector. From mu: doer, maker, eki: mask, and uta: to keep, to hoard eki-uta-mu > ekutamu
  20. Do we have nicknames for all the Toa yet? There's Omega Tahu, Alpha Kopaka, Taster of Jungle and Onya...
  21. Could be a book of phonetic translations. Anyway, on the subject of Makuta facial features, what mask do you guys think Tridax might have? He's never used a mask power, so maybe its power is one he already has. Adaptation perhaps?
  22. IC Mahrika Phantom-on-the-Water outskirts, Quest for the Leg Quickly and quietly, Mahrika climbed up the cliffs of Nyrah, following Jayar and Kat. He reached the top and brushed aside a screen of scraggly vegetation to see a small group of Matoran huts, and-- Uh oh. He let go of the foliage and crouched down, hoping the Matoran with the lightstone hadn't seen him.
  23. The Zamor sphere itself phases through the target, but the contents are absorbed into it. It's effectively a remote intravenous injection.
