  1. GM IC: The final Kavinika's weak snarl turned to piteous wheezing as Door's foot crushed its windpipe, and the next stomp brought a meager crack and ended even that. Soon enough the unfortunate beast was something akin to roadkill. Icarax, watching from above, was pleased.
  2. GM IC: The Kavinika scratched and clawed Door's grabbing hand, but at least it wasn't his throat. A moment later, his shield crashed down on its neck, stunning it - though as the impact propagated through his own wounded snout, Door wondered if there might have been a better way. Crate's baton knocked the stunned beast to the ground. The wolf snarled weakly, struggling to return to its feet.
  3. Limon looks good, approved! Nice to have a plant control Rahkshi around again.
  4. Sohnii is approved! Nice work on that backstory, it might be the first one I've seen where the character killed a Toa and that's actually plausible and significant. I look forward to meeting his brother.
  5. GM IC: Door's morningstar landed a nauseating blow to the wolf at his feet, pounding and dissolving into its skull with a crunch and launching it to land prone at Tear's feet, next to the dying, wheezing one he'd just finished impaling. The Kavinika at Door's head, however, landed paws-first against the shield, gripping into its surface with claws adapted for climbing. It scurried over the top of the barrier and plunged toward Door's faceplate unimpeded, sinking its fangs into his nose and slashing those sharpened claws toward his neck.
  6. Flickr Some witches brew potions, cast hexes, or commune with spirits. They seek Sofeila when they need the wisdom of the stars. Happy Halloween, everyone! For the next hour or two anyways. I didn't have time to start this build until Sunday, so I'm just glad I had it up this soon. Enjoy!
  7. IC: Gaever / Forge "This is... not typical sustenance." Gaever was relatively okay with the refectory gruel, but even logic could be limited by taste. "It is artificial and processed, rather than grown as I described." She looked out the window at the foliage by the stream as she finished her serving of slop. The Nynran climate was hardly amenable to extravagant fruit, but she suspected there might be some berries or something around to demonstrate, at least. "There may be typical food growing naturally in the forest," she told Phantom, standing by the door. "Come with me, let's go try to locate some."
  8. Welcome to the game! The concept of Decibel looks good. You actually used the profile format for a different game though, the fields for ours are: Notably we're all Rahkshi, so you don't need to specify species, but you do need a level. Variation substitutes for element, gear for tools, specify (or acknowledge lacking) a gender, and so on. No big deal, just getting your profile in the standard format for Corpus Rahkshi helps everyone understand the character you're playing. Be sure to look over the game guide and first Register post if you're unsure of anything, and if that doesn't do it we're always happy to answer questions. I also just want to mention that the 'power staffs' students begin with don't have the power-amplifying effect the real ones do, the Makuta want to see what they can do with the powers they have (and so do we!). That said, once you get the format straightened out I expect you'll be good to go!
  9. IC: Vlad / Gym Maze Well, nice someone would be having fun. ...Dodge, he looked like? Tricky, he'd need to keep close. "No hard feelinks zen?" he asked, bursting forward himself to close the distance as he knocked the sword to his left with his axe, then punched hard at Percy's gut with his right fist, still curled around the whip's handle.
  10. IC: Jayar / Village of Kaam Jayar put a protective arm around Hoto, but his heart pounded faster for each word Reach said. Success - hah, no, survival - was riding on the Hand's tolerance, and that was precariously close to collapse. The healer looked up, meeting their leader's icy gaze with resigned fortitude. "Her name is Hoto. We tried to leave her somewhere safe when we came to Kaam... we thought once we found a place to stay, we could go back for her. But... I guess that failed, like everything else." he recounted, sighing. "She must have ended up in Kaam anyways, and come upon this place - apparently an abandoned village, a suitable refuge." He looked back down at the crying Hoto, cursing ever crueler fate. "We never knew, nor wanted, this to happen... you see yourself she is no warrior, no threat."
  11. IC: Jayar / Village of Kaam Jayar grimaced as Hoto's scream tore through him. "Hoto, it's Jayar," he assured her, kneeling beside where she huddled in fear and reaching up to try to gently take her hand. "You're safe, it's friends, it's me..."
  12. IC: Shark / Hallways Having taken good care of Kri, Shark now returned to patrolling the halls around the Gym, Refectory, and other busier areas of the school.
  13. GM IC: The students left in the copied city gradually become aware of a low rumble emanating from its perimeter. At first faint, mysterious, and easily dismissed, as it grew stronger they began to infer or even see its source. The wall around the edge of the city was slowly closing in, crumbling and crushing the buildings before it into the ground like a fusion of bulldozer and glacier. Those preferring life in three dimensions would realize they should probably head toward the center * * * The Kavinika at Crate's neck plunged its fangs into his throat, only to be painfully torn away a moment later by Door's mace hurling toward a nearby wall with a broken yelp. Under normal circumstances the two at his arms might have fled at this point, but present by the gracious wrath of Icarax, both lunged at Door once more, one leaping teeth bared at his head while the other's slavering jaws shot at his shin. Tear's feints, meanwhile, did little to prevent the last wolf attacking him; it hesitated briefly but opted to pounce at his chest to knock him over. * * * The Nui-Jaga facing Reda was as successful as Pyle's. A furious strike from its stinger dealt a lethal blow to the pavement where Reda had been the instant before, until Icarax teleported her ingloriously out of the shrinking arena. Dismayed and confused, the scorpions scuttled off into the city... Your teammates have been defeated. reverberated the harsh voice of Icarax in Waiata and Slif's heads. * * * Quietly directed by Peek, the five Rahkshi crept deeper into the building, down a set of stairs to a decrepit door. The mind reader confirmed with a nod, and Reach opened the door to encounter... ...an empty room, decorated with only an old table. Peek's brow furrowed in concentration as he pointed with his gaze to a far wall, letting everyone know what he and Era would already have discerned - someone was hiding behind it, their breathing heavy with fear. The telepath raised an eyebrow as he continued to probe, his expression that of a seasoned birdwatcher discovering a bat for the first time. But a moment or two later he closed his eyes and blindly felt his hand along the texture of the wall, then fumbled toward the table, feeling for the button he could sense the refugee hoping he would not find. A mechanical click broke the silence, followed by a rocky grinding as the wall moved aside to reveal... * * * IC: Jayar / Village of Kaam "Hoto!?" Conflicting thoughts flooded the healer all at once - what is she doing here? good, there won't be a fight could it be an illusion? but Peek would know thank fate she's okay! she must be terrified... it's been such a long time oh no, now she's mixed up in this... but I'm so glad to see her again... Jayar stowed his weapon, pushing past Reach and Flack toward her. * * * IC: Gaever / Forge The question was little surprise to Gaever at this point; she took another mouthful of gruel and a moment to think before answering. "Many foods are in fact edible components of plants," she explained. "One can grow a plant from a seed, a sort of capsule containing a small, if they place the seed in soil and ensure it receives water and sunlight. One must simply grow a plant that produces food." Her agricultural knowledge was a little rusty, admittedly.
  14. IC: Gaever / Forge The spartan interior of her own forge was comforting after that tense exchange. These walls they'd constructed together, materials they'd gathered, were calming surroundings. It was a reminder that they could accomplish good things together. The Surahk filled two handcrafted bowls from the remaining ration of Corpus gruel, handing one to Phantom and keeping one herself. "More food will need to be obtained soon," she noted. "It may be possible to scavenge for some nearby, or even grow our own... If not, more of... this... can always be obtained from the school..." It occurred to her she'd never tried the bland slop warm, and a mild application of her power gave her bowl the temperature of fresh soup... but still none of the flavor. Oh well... * * * IC: Vlad / Gym Maze It wasn't long before Vlad and his companions were stopped in their tracks by the unmistakable sound of Rahkshi footsteps down a nearby street. And that meant the others could have heard them just now too... The Vampire readied his weapons, barbed whip in right hand, war axe in left. With bravado he really wasn't feeling, he gestured sharply to his teammates - element of surprise! let's go! - and charged around the corner, his whip lashing out at a randomly selected Percy.
  15. Flickr We must fulfill our obligation to the king! No falling back! Fight! You have lived your whole life for this singular moment! My entry in Round 3 of the 2018 Bio-Cup, for the theme Anachronistic Future. Although far in the future, these robots embrace the chivalrous tradition of the past - if you've played Nier:Automata you might understand my inspiration for this one quite well. This is the biggest thing I've made and for something made in little more than 3 days after BrickFair Virginia I'm rather pleased with how it went, especially getting the legs to hold the rearing pose. Comments and criticism much enjoyed as always, enjoy!
  16. IC: Thurisaz / Gym Maze The fiery Turahk landed low and smooth to seamlessly burst at the hound again, trident blasting at its eye. "Know your place, beast!" he asserted, eyes aflame with fearful scarlet. * * * IC: Vlad / Gym Maze "Don't vorry about it, Icarax took zem all out vhen I defeated zer VIP," Vlad consoled Diode, for surely he had. "Let's head toward zer center, try find another team, I guess," he shrugged, turning to lead the group in the direction of the central tower. * * * IC: Gaever / Forge "Indeed," Gaever agreed, fighting an emptiness of worry in her stomach. Phantom looked sufficiently shaken for even her to notice, and wonder, how dreadful had that request been? "...You still did excellently, Phantom," she attempted to reassure. "Perhaps at this point we should go inside to obtain something to eat?"
  17. GM IC: Palma When A!'s quieted entourage entered Palma was using the relative calm to tidy the room in preparation for the storm of injured Rahkshi sure to follow anything run by Icarax. She went over to look at them as they shared their story, checking for damage to their ears or otherwise. "You're not terribly wounded, but it probably felt a lot worse so close and unexpected." What injuries she did find were healed with sparks of ethereal green. Everyone would be just fine and hopefully better prepared next time
  18. IC: Lucid / Courtyard "A foreign delicacy," Lucid answered Danger sagely, "for true believers."
  19. Vauban looks okay, approved. Vigilem is approved. I like that the two have cooperated, we've had split personalities before but I think always unaware or as enemies. For the record though, how do they switch out?
  20. Punishment and Toxitora Junior are approved. Interesting to see a friendly loyalist for once. I have many concerns about Clem. Broadly, that he's clearly an expy of Clem from Warframe, and we've long discouraged copying existing characters in favor of more original concepts. I'm not sold on the translation device either, is it basically a Rau hooked up to a speaker? Finally, Mutran and Chirox are arch-rivals at this point, Tridax could barely get them together to work on Shadow Leeches so I don't think they'd be collaborating on a single Rahkshi. Sorry but Clem needs some reworking, right now he is not approved.
  21. IC: Vlad / Gym Maze "Vell, ve got lucky zis time," Vlad responded to Helkyrie. "Zer other VIP vasn't fightink very vell, unt I just happened to take her down quickly. Other teams von't be so easy to dispatch." He looked over the VIP. "Are you injured, Diode? How you feel might decide vhether it makes sense to fortify a position, or go back on zer hunt." * * * IC: Lucid / Courtyard "Quickly then," Lucid shifted, taking Danger's outstretched hand. "You have... decisions to make," she read. "On your own. You alone will be responsible." She squinted, trying to trace out more details. "Oh, and try some spaghetti if you get the chance. You'll love it."
  22. Flickr Happy 4th of July, America! Okay, it's a little late, but that's because this is my entry in Round 2 of the 2018 Biocup, my theme the holiday Independence Day. It doesn't exactly depict my typical July 4th celebration, but when I got the theme I just felt right away that nothing says patriotic celebration quite like an eagle painted to look like a flag. I was hoping to test myself at extravagant wings this summer anyways, so this was actually a really fortunate theme for me. I'd love to hear how I did, and hope you enjoy!
  23. Only warning is not to overdo that extra armor, it might grant some incremental protection but she's still going to feel a good blow. Looks good overall though, consider her approved!
  24. Hello, welcome to the game! Everything in your profile looks good, just two things to note. Although Rahkshi can be given staffs that greatly amplify their power, the ones Corpus students have don't usually do that, and I'm assuming Thunder's won't either. And, it might be good to know more about how dexterous/useful that tail is - I don't expect it to be a problem, considering several more extreme modifications we've had, but a little more detail might be nice. With that out of the way, Thunder is approved! I look forward to playing with you.
