  1. Having unprinted kanoka discs and maybe having details carved into them would be a better alternative, but I basically hate printed pieces and stickers the overwhelming majority of the time when they're being used in sets. That's one of the pillars of g1 I guess
  2. You know what I've got against printed pieces, they add less detail to sets because they seem like it makes sets look childish like the rest of lego's themes and they can get scratched or damaged very easily as if they're chinese knock offs and basically printed pieces give a set a cheap chinese knock off feel to it.
  3. I just posted my review of Takua and Pewku onto my tumblr blog and I'd like to know what type of feedback you all have about it. But it's got a great function and tons of brown technic pieces, but it's got some questionable building techniques and those tubes he has make it hard to pose his arms upwards http://limeflavouredlibertarian24.tumblr.com/post/147757305044/takua-and-pewku
  4. I'd pick the sets over the story because no one really notices or cares about what a theme's about unless you've got an awesome wave of sets to go along with it or be based around
  5. If there is a rebooted slizer like wave of sets, do any of you think they'll have various sizes because when slizers were around in 1999/2000, they were all basically the same size/price. Also I doubt this would happen, but would they bring back that old teal colour? I hope they don't have printed pieces like they did in the 2000s....oh wait nevermind because ccbs has been tons of printed pieces, so it won't seem like a big shift to use them on slizers
  6. Nah. They've definitely got an ace up their sleeves for when it does end. THE RETURN OF GALIDOR. Hi Shadow Destroyer! What ever happened to your youtube channel? I loved the videos you did...especially the top 10 rarest bionicle sets one you did Why do you think galidor will be returning?
  7. I've got a post that's about bringing back teal pieces and it's got nearly 1000 notes. http://limeflavouredlibertarian24.tumblr.com/post/136340121364 Also, I hope they make some new bone pieces because it'd like to see the piston aesthetic used on bone pieces without having to place shells/armour on them
  8. The only problem with using ekimu's torso armour on gali is that the gold printing on it is definitely out of place. When you mean copper parts, do you mean like knights kingdom had with some of their sets in 2006? Also it would be nice to see pieces that are blended in brown and transparent black, silver and transparent black, black and silver, gunmetal and some dark reds or blues or greens. But I don't think it's good when lego just shoves an overload of neutral colours on a set that just seems random like gali master of water whose silver and gunmetal pieces basically silenced out any vibrancy. What about earth blue pieces, but blended in metallic colours? That would be cool. Do any of you think it's a good idea for the 2017 sets to have transparent pink pieces?
  9. I don't mind hewkii inika having a whole bunch of gunmetal because that's what his colour scheme is, but I can't stand it when lego just places a few random gunmetal pieces and then it's automatically part of their "colour schemes" Gali's torso armour looks terrible in silver or gunmetal. I think it should've been either a shade of blue or orange. Check out what gali looks like with ekimu's torso to see if this looks better or not http://limeflavouredlibertarian24.tumblr.com/post/147236104164/i-put-ekimus-torso-armour-onto-gali-uniter-of I hope they don't use that many neutral colours in 2017, except for technic pieces and perhaps pins and axles(I'd don't hate red axles or blue pins ones at all!)
  10. Bionicle has used too much gunmetal. If there's small villians in 2017 then I wonder if they'll use a brand new head piece like they did with the creatures of if they'll attach on like masks the protectors, toa and beasts use
  11. Having islanders with technic/ccbs built vehicles would be interesting and I think it would definitely make up for not having knees or elbows because doing that would make the build of the vehicle have less pieces due to knees and elbows sucking pieces off of the vehicle build. I agree about having 6 small villians as small sets, that would be interesting too see because then they wouldn't use the same 6 colours the toa use. Perhaps this can mean small sized sets with their primary colours being transparent instead of those colours just being accent/secondary colours. What if each small villian came with one of the protectors or an islanders' masks but in a drained/mutated form
  12. So you're saying islander sets wouldn't have elbows or knees? What if they used the smallest sized ccbs bone and that would allow for knees and elbows. Harvali would probably be the size of vizuna(protector of jungle). What if the islander sets came with masks that are blended in different solid colours like it shows in the graphic novel battle of the mask makers
  13. Do you think if we get small islanders as sets, do you think they'll be super basic in their builds or do you think they'll have some sort of gearfunction or custom build?
  14. I'd like to see small sized protector/creature sized sets with custom limbs. Also I wonder if all the articulation sets have these days is causing it to be harder to make bigger/custom builds due to the mass changes that have to be done to the standard ccbs build
  15. What if you could make giant statues or buildings and what if it was done with a majority of the pieces being ccbs bones. Or what about buildings made of technic pieces such as different types of liftarms
  16. Why isn't there a huge demand for constraction and bionicle?
  17. I think we should have a contest to create a really complex/custom build for future bionicle sets
  18. What type of gearfunction do you think the 2017 sets and/or toa will have? Because maybe they could each have melum's function, but each toa has it built in different ways
  19. Who do you think takes more risks lewa or matau when he was a toa?
  20. The villians in g2 have been either great(skull scorpio, umarak, skull slicer, storm beast) or they've been mediocre(lava beast, quake beast, skull basher), but I think they should have a few sets that use a lot of ccbs and technic in almost a witch doctor way and maybe a general grievous type set that uses a lot of ccbs to make giant figures. I love technic and I've made many custom gearboxes and mocs with it, but I think if you're gonna use ccbs then use it to make big, high piece count things and not just for making more articulation for small sets and mocs Technic is great and you can never have too much of it! HF clearly had overly simplified sets, but when compared to small and medium sets from g1 they improved and small and medium sets from g2 have clearly improved when compared to hf. But, I'm saying we should have sets that have custom gearboxes and different types of gearfunctions. We should have ccbs and technic, but maybe a few sets that use different sizes of bones to create custom torsos instead of the standard ccbs torso piece
  21. I'm just wondering if bionicle needs more ccbs or more technic because they both offer great things, but maybe ccbs can be used as structural elements instead of just being used for limbs
  22. Ninjago ain't ending anytime soon because they're getting a theatrical movie next year. That's the type of thing that makes a theme do even better. So ninjago isn't on the brink of cancellation at all!
  23. What...? Where did you get that from? Read through this post and you'll see why I mention the stock market http://www.bzpower.com/board/topic/22844-discussion-the-future-of-bionicle-g2/?p=1081137 None of this has nothing to do with the stock market... It says quote "This thread, and the two that spawned it, dealt with the (grossly exaggerated) rumor about Bionicle's premature cancellation after 2016. After a handful of fans from the US reported sporadic stocks and some Lego Store employees saying they won't carry some of the sets, a bunch of G2 haters latched onto said rumors as "proof" that Bionicle is bad and will be cancelled."

  25. I swore I'd stay out of this, but what. What. "You disagree with me and bring up valid points that disavow my (baseless) argument? Oh, yeah, you secretly agree with me, but don't want to admit it." I and countless others who have refuted your baseless claims that you never back up with any evidence have said that Bionicle is doing pretty ###### well here in Europe, and there are some people in the US who also say Bionicle is doing well where they are. Instead of refuting this with some kind of cultured argument, you just say we lie? Congrats, mate, grade A debating skills you have there. I risk repeating myself, but where in any of your openly hostile posts have you ever brought up anything resembling evidence backing up your claims? When have you ever issued a reply to someone disagreeing with you in a civil manner wherein you bring up logical counterpoints? So far all you have been doing across half a dozen threads is repeat that Bionicle is doing poorly, with zero evidence, and whenever several people come up with counterarguments with evidence and sources, the only response you give is "yeah, well, I don't care, I dislike G2 and therefore it is doing poorly.". All the passive-aggressive statements about how "we're all fooling ourselves" and we all "know it is doing poorly" just further embarrass you. Honestly, GSR, locking those two topics was a great idea, they were getting out of hand - but was making this one necessary? I mean, now we have all of the filth in one place, sure, but why do we want to keep said filth at all? This is pointless. One side is bringing up genuine points with sources, evidence and arguments, and the other side is just repeating "no, I don't like it therefore you are wrong". Of course, there are the few people trying to skirt both sides in an attempt to keep the discussion going in a civil direction, but honestly? I don't see the point. This thing ought to be locked, buried and forgotten before it gets even more out of hand. I really should just not look at it at all, lest I be once again drawn back into it... Wait! What are we talkin' about again? Isn't this suppose to be about g2's future and 2017 sets and what not? This thread, and the two that spawned it, dealt with the (grossly exaggerated) rumor about Bionicle's premature cancellation after 2016. After a handful of fans from the US reported sporadic stocks and some Lego Store employees saying they won't carry some of the sets, a bunch of G2 haters latched onto said rumors as "proof" that Bionicle is bad and will be cancelled. In reality, however, that weird thing the USA has called "retailer exclusivity" (I swear, we don't have that in Europe for any product) means that some Lego sets won't be making it to Lego Stores, while others won't be making it to Target, while others won't be making it to x,y and z. Constraction also has had a hard history in the USA, hence the Chima CCBS products were not distributed there. Meaning that even if the doom-and-gloom "reports" coming from the US are true, at worst Bionicle will be pulled from NA. However, in spite of the above explanation about retailers having been supplied by Aanchir, several reports of stellar sales in Europe by several users and some other points I've stated many times across many threads, the haters and doomsayers are adamant about already digging Bionicle's grave in spite of 2017 being guaranteed and at least two years after that being very likely. So, you know, it's just the internet acting up. Give it some time and it will die down. I used to be pretty vocal in this debate about Bionicle being cancelled, but frankly I no longer see the point. I believe there is another thread discussing what the sets might be like in 2017 and beyond (can't find it right now), however this one is talking about the continued existence of the line, rather than its nature. WOW! So bionicle is having a negative impact with the stock market?
