  1. "Shunned by their creators and hated and feared throughout the Matoran Universe, the savage Zyglak retreated to the dark places of the universe, such as ruins, and the underground recesses of Voya Nui, brooding over their fate and hating the Matoran and all who honored Mata Nui."

The goal here was to update the Zyglak, but also keep that weird and alien look to it that the original had. Let me know what you think, and have a good day!

  2. I don't recall Spiriah having anything like those extra limbs, but I'm certainly not complaining about their inclusion here. And it's nice to see his colour scheme not being a complete clusterfudge of lime green, red, black and grey.

    Very nice work, Konahrik!

He doesn't officially have any limbs like the ones I included, but his official build comes with a matoran like being on his back, so I condensed that thing into the limbs on his back. Glad to see that they don't detract from the build!

  3. -Spiriah's official incarnation was interesting to say the least, and was met with mixed reactions. What I tried to do was build his regular form, while still keeping some cues from his official incarnation in the build. I pretty much removed the grey from his color scheme and reduced the green to a minimum. I hope that the finished product that you see before you is still recognizable despite his extreme makeover.

  4. The feet are fine, but they don't flow into the shinguards well.  I like the hands, and the way they can hold the staff, and the coloring is great.  I don't recognize the torso-armour though, where'd it come from?

The feet were like the last thing added on, so i can see why they don't really gel with the rest of the moc. the torso armor is from the legends of chima ultrabuild series, the second wave that didn't see a North American release.

This guy is really cool.  I love the hands and also the fact that there's a way to mount the staff on his back.

Thanks, I'm glad I found a way to mount the staff, it was a problem at the beginning, but I found a solution near the middle of the build.

  5.        A strange, horned being has been spotted wandering Okoto Nui. Some villagers say he is a master, others say he is... something else. From a far off land, his story is unknown, and with his memory erased, Konahrik must forge a new path. Armed with formidable telekenetic powers, and an augmenting staff, is he friend or foe to the inhabitants of Okoto Nui?

Criticism is welcome, and hopefully I will be able to put up some better pictures soon, they came out a lot more sepia-like than I'd prefer.

EDIT: New pictures added, hopefully they give a better, clearer look than before.

  6. Click is right, they are custom pieces.

Here is a link to the MOC topic.

Quote from Fsnorglepuff: "The eyes *sigh* were very, very meticulously cut, sanded, and polished from those nice air-bubble-less 3 length trans-medium blue bars (light saber blades, but not the regular length). I must have gone though eight bars and so many pairs of eyes before I got identical ones that fit snugly (not to mention I lost some in the process). They really just stay there by themselves, but I also but a shortened black clip to get them at the same spot on either side."

  7. Ah, another reader of the Inheritance Cycle, I swear there's dozens of us, dozens! Personally, I always pictured the ra'zac similar to how you described them, just all black. Seeing another persons interpretation of them is cool, especially since the way you captured the ra'zac is so similar, yet different to how I imagined them. I have to say, I probably would've used a black cape, like the one Vezon came with instead of treads. Other than that, neat interpretation, and good luck in the contest.

  8.

Possibly another pearl light gold visorak shell in the set? I can't really tell.

Pretty sure there's no such thing is there? All the visorak shells are the same gold. It's the kraahkan masks from the battle for metru nui playset that come in the two different colours.

There have thus far been two sightings that I know of. There was a topic on bzp about one, and one that also popped up on ebay. I can not tell if this is another, or just looks like one due to lighting.

  9. It looks pretty good, but the gold doesn't seem to mesh all that well. The little bits of bright red, blue and orange make it look less uniform as well. The forearms are kinda gappy, but the good thing is all of the problems can be easily remedied. All in all a pretty solid moc. KUTGW

  10. So I am going to take a stab in the dark and say this is a Wile-E Coyote Vs Roadrunner parody for the Island of Okoto?

I actually had this in mind when I was writing the post, but decided against it. I guess great minds think alike  :D .

Love the legs on the prey and the use of those mixals eyes.

Thank you! The lower legs were actually the last things built, i felt that the black shells were a little too basic and added the lower leg gaurs to add more orange.

The head on the bird is simply fabulous.

The head is what inspired me to make the whole creation, so thank you.

These look awesome! But I'm confused about the gills; where are they on the MOC? It's interesting that you've created a species with differences based on physical sex, but I'm just not sure whicy part of the MOC is the gills :P

The male is the one with yellow eyes, and the female is the one with orange eyes. The gills on the male is this piece on the lower part of the head. I didn't add any tubes because that really restricted the heads movement.

  11. Okoto has many a wide variety of wildlife, some new and some familiar to a well traveled visitor. Here are two of them, predator and prey, the Okotoan Energy Hound, and the Okoto Rocket bird.

    The Okotoan Energy Hound(s)

The Okoto version of the Energy hound is amphibious, with males having more pronounced gills. Some have been trained by the villagers to help with hunting. Most wild Hounds enjoy the thrill of the hunt and often go after elusive prey such as the Okoto Rocket bird.

     Okoto Rocket Bird:

The Okoto Rocket bird is a species of supersonic flightless birds that often leave their would be predators in the dust. However, when cornered, their armored claws make formidable weapons. In order to be able to expend as much energy as they do, they must eat foods rich in energy, and thus mainly eat leaves from the fire bush, and ruby racers, a small snake found throughout the region of Okoto.

  12.

Once the polls are put up, I think an explanation as to why the polls were heavily delayed would be appreciated.

Well, if it's a personal reason I don't think an explanation is needed, per se

We just have to trust that the mods have the right intentions :)

I was thinking more along the lines of like a more general explanation, like "Oh, I got sick, sorry for the delay", not going into specifics, like detailing what they came down with and how severe it was, etc. I would just rather them address it than seemingly ignore the issue. But maybe that's just me.
