Its kind of implied to be a requirement though, isn't it? I would think if an entry were to fit in with the 2015 sets, it would have to use some CCBS, right? Or am I just being a little close minded?

The kohlii stick is really inventive, but the white sticks out a little bit. Overall a good MOC, and pays a good homage to the matoran version of hewkii.

There's plenty of keetorange shells in lewa and PoJ. if you have either or both, its definitely feasible to make him, just with a lil more black/grey/silver/gunmetal, than the original.

Beautiful. This visorak is chock full of NPU including the beast foot for the secondary pincers. The only thing that I think you could make it look better, would probably be to extend the back legs, with a a regular lower leg piece and another keetorange shell. This is a really good entry and I hope it doesn't get overlooked in the voting.

I agree with the mounting on the shield, and even made a MOC of it, I am just worried that in a combat situation, a weapon would hit the missiles and would blow up the blaster and the shield.

First, and foremost, I am loving the theme of the contest and am excited that a MOC I have been building fits the theme perfectly. However, I can definitely see why people would be turned off about the contest. CCBS is not everyones cup of tea, and that's understandable. I'm sure that not everyone has CCBS parts flowing out the wahzoo and some of the entries have been built with a limited amount of parts, like only 2015 sets and the like. CCBS certainly has its limitations, like not being available in all of the colors of G1 like metru blue, or only being available in a few select pieces like metru red, metru green, and the new brown used in some chima sets. I certainly hope that if some people make a character that isn't represented with the right shade or color that they were released or described like, that voters will try to see the source material shine through the MOC. At the end of the contest, I hope that the winning MOC is the entry best suited to the contest. I am looking forward to seeing some really creative reimaginings of old characters.

If your entry looks anything like your mata redesigns, I can see you going far in the contest. My guess would be Vakama, since I think his mask would go well with CCBS parts. Even if its not Vakama I am very interested in what you can put together, as your MOCs always are aesthetically pleasing.

The way you made Malum's claws are nothing short of brilliant. The whole build evokes a menacing and imposing feeling, and certainly gives homage to the source material. The only thing I would remove would be the 2015 launcher, it looks a little out of place, kinda making it look like the protector of fire is wearing a Malum suit. Otherwise this is the best entry I've seen so far, good luck in the contest!

Entries don't have to only be built with Bio'15 parts, right? They just have to be able to "blend in" with the recently released sets? EDIT: If the character we are making was comprised of colors not yet available in CCBS yet, would it be suitable to use a different color as long as the entry is recognizable, like using black to replace dark blue?

I think if you were going for Lhikan, you should have at least used dark red shells. Right now it just looks like a powered up tahu.

This "Weekly Wondering" thing I'm trying out is similar to other members weekly entries, but with you guys giving me input on a project I'm working on. Weekly Wonderings: Premier Edition. Since this week is the Premie Edition, I will be asking two questions, or wonderings if you will. This week I'd like to have your guy's input on Energy Hounds amphibiousness, and what element a staff I made would better line up with. WW1- On the subject of Energy hounds being amphibious, at least in the universe I am trying to build, which version looks better? Tubes or Tubeless WW2- Which element would this staff be better associated with, lightning or magnetism? If you think it should belong to a different element than the two I mentioned, let me know as well. Just thought I'd throw my 2c in as an outsider on this topic. MC was actually the first person to ask for those masks, he requested 'one of each' before anyone else asked for anything. His second post which people seem to be treating as a rule-breaker was just to clarify what he wanted as the topic creator had asked. Noone's done anything wrong here, people are just getting a little confused The items that I expressed interest I made sure did not overlap with MC's first post of one of each. His clarification post not only included his original request of one of each but also included some of the ones that I had asked about. Like I said, I was trying to follow the rules of the forum to the best of my abilities. My apologies to MC if my post seemed malevolent or confusing as that was not my intention.

I think I can help with the hands. They appear to use Y-joints & this piece used on the back of the Protector of Fire. Also, congratulations on getting 3rd place, LordDarkuta! I know what pieces he used, I mean how those two pieces are connected is what I can't figure out. EDIT: After zooming in on on the right hand I figured it out. So simple. Nice job LordDarkuta.

I'm glad this one made the top 3, it is very solid looking and imposing. I like that it goes against what most people did, and is composed of very light and bright colors. as opposed to dark and darker. The only things I would change would be the arms, and a color change on some of the spikes. I just feel that to keep the gold armored aesthetic, the arms should perhaps be inverted. On the abdomen, I think changing the tree white spikes to gold ones would help. On the hands golden claws would look good with a golden exterior IMO. I really like the hands anyway, but I cant for the life of me figure out how you made them. Good job on making a wonderfully detailed MOC and placing in the top 3 on BZPower.
