  1. The island of Artahka. It's an island of craftsmanship, ingenuity and architecture that is barely known to the outside world. It's a very peaceful and open-minded metropolis, unlike the possibly horrific and overcrowded Metru Nui.
  2. Mutran vs. Doctor Doom. Who here is the better green-and-silver-armour-plated, country-controlling, cunning, intelligent, inventive and mildly insane person imbued with mystical powers?
  3. Finally! Someone else who appreciates this severely underrated Makuta!
  4. Well for all we know Mt. Ihu is an inactive volcano (explaining its height, being a Strato-Volcano like those found in the Cascade Mountains or Los Andes) and that Onu-Wahi is on the former lava-bed of the the Ihu/Mangai lava flows, with the active lava flow going into modern Ta-Wahi. Deeper underground there could be granitic batholiths and rills leading right up to that mysterious layer of Big Giant Robot Strata... (Then again, seeing that the island was nothing more than an artificial construct to hide a sunken robot, that geologic history would seem overly complex, but a fake geologic record would do wonders in hiding the fact it is artificial wouldn't it?) Also do we know if Onu-Koro has any areas exposed to the surface? The cutscenes from the cancelled 2001 video game show the sky while Whenua and the Tohunga are busy disco dancing... but it hasn't shown up since. Yep, that's Onu-Wahi. As for the beaches of Onu-Koro, it would be unlikely that there's any form of permanent settlement on the surface. I wouldn't expect much from the beaches themselves, as they just look like the shores of a volcanic island in the Legend of Mata Nui trailer.
  5. Let's see here... Unmutated Karzahni, unmutated Nidhiki, Lariska, Artahka, official Miserix set... the list goes on. All of them are enjoyable and interesting characters that are long overdue at this point. Heck, I would have liked that to be the Stars line of sets. Unfinished business, y'all.
  6. So long, Chima. I barely missed you and might get some sweet discounts on your sets nearing the holiday season. You will be mildly missed.
  7. Seems like a pretty good explanation to me. On the other hand, Energised Protodermis would have to be endued with seemingly magical qualities, be as viscous and fluid as water, have to shimmer and be consistent enough not to collapse on itself whenever it attempts to stand up and crush Keetongu. Not to mention it's sentience. My proposal for this little deus-ex-machina fluid would be that one atom of Energised Protodermis consists of a power-sensitive nucleus capable of retaining information surrounded by metallic Protodermis particles, all held together as a non-viscous fluid by the individual nuclei being attracted to each other. Through this sub-atomic bond, the nuclei can exchange information and gradually become more and more intelligent according to the overall quantity of Energised Protodermis. Yeah... it's a little half-baked, I know.
  8. Considering Onu-Wahi's proximity relative to the Mangai Volcano, I'd hazard a guess that the 'above areas' of Onu-Wahi are punctuated by thick layers of basalt, which would perhaps explain the granite-like material that Onu-Koro is most likely surrounded by. As for the above area of Onu-Wahi, I think that it would look like Onu-Metru but... well... less technologically advanced with all it's cliffs, canyons, Protodermis falls and crevices.
  9. The worldwide economy would suffer from massive inflation due to currency. Only having one hundred dollar bills isn't healthy.
  10. The inhabitants of the Matoran Universe make sure to honour Matoro during Matoro Day, where Nuju speaks Matoran, the Toa Mahri give memoirs and plays orchestrated by Matoran entertainers re-enact the events leading up to Matoro's sacrifice. Vakama is incredibly insistent on a Lhikan Day to be celebrated by everyone else but it continues to just to be the Turaga commemorating Lhikan. Additionally, the Matoran stop using Karzahni as an expletive and instead adopt Irnakk as their new bogeyman after spending some time with the Skakdi.
  11. One half of me is saying that they are sending their prayers to the Red Star and the other half is saying that it's merely the words of a spell. Either way, it's a really good point. How would the Protectors manage to supposedly contact each of the Toa's six 'homeworld' planets?
  12. Under different circumstances, I would provide seventeen thousand reasons why this doesn't make sense, but all I can do is just sit back and slowly clap. Please don't try and fix this. It's just such an intriguing specimen born of misinformation and the inability to refer oneself to BS01. On the other hand, I'm actually quite surprised that Teridax has a page on the villains wiki. Amongst so many other far more iconic and frankly better villains, he has a page? Huh. Nice to know.
  13. I'm breathing.

      Erasmus Graves

A breathing turnip? That's an interesting phenomena.

  14. "Man, that satellite dish piece would look great on this." *Checks Bricklink* "Nope. Too much."
  15. We've all built a MOC, right? It's fun, it's relaxing, it's enjoyable and it really flexes your creative and technical muscles. But, unfortunately, more often than not, we're missing one little axle that we need one more of to seal off this custom torso, one technic beam to connect two separate parts of a building, one irritating pipe piece that would be the cherry on top of your MOC but you never got your hands on, or, by Mata Nui, THAT. ONE. Hollow stud that would look perfect on this section of greballing* but you don't have. So, yeah. It can always be the little, minuscule things that can kill you and since this a collection of all those annoying instances of condescending denial, I would like to know what killed you in that regard.
  16. Let's see here... I've got a bit of disposable income for the time being... what do I spend it on? Six New Toa > Steam Christmas Sale > New Computer > Personal Debt > Anyone Else
  17. This certainly is an interesting find. Considering the sheer size and capabilities of this system, I would only imagine it as being a toypad that you would occasionally see at a Toys R Us if Bionicle is really popular at the time. Interesting nevertheless.
  18. The trans-purple on the Mask of Earth just looks great with the pearl gold. Can't go wrong with it. On the other hand, the neon yellow-green on the Mask of Stone just looks strange. The gold and neon doesn't go well together in the slightest.
  19. Teridax's voice in Mask of Light was the single best part for me as a kid. I thought Lee Tockar was perfect for the role, but I guess someone with a low voice like James Earl Jones could pull off Teridax, as long as it didn't sound too much like darth-vader... Darth Vader's voice was doctored to give it more of a mechanical echo and monotone, and James Earl Jones is a seasoned voice actor. He's got a lot to offer in terms of characters and voices and could flesh out Teridax to give him his heir of deception and method that I haven't really seen portrayed faithfully in the films. Let's face it, Teridax was a bit of an idiot in Legends of Metru Nui whilst Teridax in everything else was a master strategist and extremely intelligent, albeit clouded by arrogance. I still do admire Lee Tockar's interpretation of Teridax, I'll give him that. He portrayed 2003's Teridax excellently as a shadowed puppeteer with unspeakable power, but that interpretation doesn't match 2008's Teridax all too well. By then, he was a feared and respected strategist and manipulator that became far more proactive and menacing once he became Antidermis. In my humble opinion, that's my favourite kind of Teridax.
  20. Rapture? http://bioshock.wikia.com/wiki/Rapture It's basically a city built under the sea exclusively for the brightest and most talented of the people above as a means to preserve true talent and weed out any pesky ideals of religion or politics, serving as a city for the elite.
  21. This is the story of a man named Stan Lee.

  22. Ah, yes, the Ancient City. Besides having the most creative name in the Bionicle mythos since the Golden Armour, we've seen a lot of hints about what the Ancient City once was, but we haven't exactly delved into the culture and what not. So, with all of the hints of an arena, the reverence of the Mask Makers, the importance of the Protectors, the geographic positioning of the city and the presence of the Temple of Time, I will ask the question: What was going on in there? I'll start us off here with the possible hierarchy of the city itself. It might be possible that the tribes that we see depicted in the animations stood standing even in the City's heyday, especially considering that there's a structure surrounding the shrine of the Golden Mask of Fire. My theory is that the Ancient City is kinda like the Whiterun's Skyforge. It's a source of elemental power that is ideal for maskmaking. Ekimu and Makuta had noticed the presence of this elementally potent forge, so they built their forge around this. This maskmaking hotspot had turned the Ancient City into a city for Okoto's greatest artisans; architects, stonemasons, blacksmiths and most importantly, the revered maskmakers. This city was relatively isolated from the rest of Okoto and the longer and longer that the inhabitants lived in the Ancient City, the more the city's culture would develop and expand from the tribal and agrarian attitude of the rest of the Okotian tribes. So... it's Rapture.
  23. You know you're a Bionicle fan when you can recite the mini movies word-for-word. The deepest bottom of the darkest sea has been shrouded in mystery and superstition... some say that it's a hostile place inhabited by the strangest creatures... others that it's a prison for the most dangerous outcasts. But legend has it that the only way of ever getting out of there is a mask... a mask that everyone has been craving for years... a mask, they say.... I'm sorry what was that?
  24. What's on your mind? HAH! Meta.

  25. You know you are a complete Bionicle nerd when you want an orange Vahi more than a copy of Half-Life 3.
