I noticed your Le-character left but what about the Ta-one? == Le-Koro Village - Near the Gukko Force Rookery == == Looking For a Nui-Jaga in a Nui-Jaga tunnel, Ironic == OOC: Po-Matoran Doseki & Nui-Jaga Scorpio IC: If Luta and his companion had remained by the hole they would have heard piercing sounds coming from within the darkness. Under the surface and beyond the darkness shown a different story as the Nui-Jaga known as Scorpio bared down swiftly on Doseki and Adamas' position. The tunnel was dark and Nui-Jaga are not known for their impressive sight and the Po-Matoran's pet was driven my instinct and not so much the knowledge that he was towering over his owner. With another crash from his vocals Scorpio lashed out at the shadow in the dark. His claws striking forward in turn as he tried to catch his target off guard and strike him with his tail to finish them off. Doseki for his part was yelling as he positioned himself between Scorpio and a weakened Adamas. His Kolhii stick his only defense as he spun it in his hands to block and repel the large Nui-Jaga's relentless assault. "Toa what did you and your weakened friend do to him? I have never seen him act this aggressive before. If I can't get his restraints from his saddle bags and get them back into place on him we could be in for an unpleasant rest of our day. Limited though our future may be!"

Then slump down in defeat. Orca for her part was still supporting Aokora's back as they both sat on the cold floor of the treasure chamber. "The Water was clear at the time it poured into the chamber but with it having us swimming around in it not to mention that it is just sitting there possibly festering with bacteria from the walls and whatever we tracked in here. I would not recommend drinking from it unless we can boil it first."

Military/tactical term for basically what was just stated. "Taking Point" can means going first. Or scouting ahead to see what pitfalls the group may encounter. Though preferably without the second part of being shot at first . It is a logical chain of events of there are any shooters. What with the sound, lack of agility, and overall size of the armors. Hiding such a beast is not a viable option. Someone or something is going to see it coming likely long before the driver sees them. Even more so if they are on foot. The person taking point basically moves into a position to be able to see what is going on ahead of them. Sometimes this is by running ahead, other times is means getting to higher ground so they can see further. Either way the enemy is likely to see them first.

Well I suppose any drunkard yelling anything in a stupor would be ample distraction. Right up until he gets a cannon ball to the chest. There, no more distraction. While I know why Jack was saying it thinking Jones' heart was in it. how would that translate to a Bionicle setting though. I mean I don't really think any of the elements would care directly if somebody had a jar of dirt. Unless you were an earth aligned character. Even still a jar is hardly a threat...

Well I looked through all the chapters and found a several cool concept pics of both accepted and rejected tribes. I picked one such tribe and am now using it as my Avatar. Very cool Scorpion.

The role at the bottom of the stack always gets overlooked. It's not an "I CAN FEEL THE POWUH!" role, it's a role for the cheerily selfless who work their fingers to the bone and never get any appreciation. Just remember that, kids. For every shameless attention hog who is famous for doing very little, there is at least ten people behind the scenes who never get recognized even though they work their tails off. Yeah like being a Cart collector at a Walmart. We get paid the least, have the most bosses breathing down our necks, have to combat virtually every type of weather from freezing rain/snow to blistering summer heat. Also trying to doge crazy parking lot drivers while trying to also keep your collection of carts neat and under control is no picnic. Yet we the select few go under appreciated. Ours is the most dangerous job as well.

I thought it was of Luigi from Smash...? At least right now it is. Yeah as many times as I have seen his posts around the board I always thought it was Luigi as well. I mean how many people do you know where green and have a green hat with a capital L on the face? Anyway I changed mine from my character to this Scorpion concept from Chima. The Concept isn't mine I take no credit for it. There are other nice once over there in the Pre-Legend area of the story boards they have been posting if one is interested.

I think Arctic is going to take point on the Venture if that is alright with you... If worse comes to worse I guess we can attach my RAT via it's forward crank/hook deal. Then it can be towed behind them. If you think the Venture can supplement a towing capabilities.

Even though it was meant as a joke I should mention the song itself came from one of the original Turtles movies and I think it is Vanilla Ice who is singing it. That way nobody can say that Ninjago came first as the song itself is actually years older.

Welcome back. Did you forget about Matoran und Panzer or BZP as a whole? Mind you your answer could change who you'll have to grovel to for abandoning us. Anyway I thought you posted that you couldn't see so well out of the driver seat and also that it was too far from there to the gunner position that's why you suggested we abandon one of the tanks. If that is not the case then we'll just have Doseki take point unless you think the Venture works well as a shield, then we can use it as a blockade while I fire from behind it. I'll wait for your post regardless.

I like that thought a lot, but it still leaves the whole mask question unanswered. Also, I wonder if they'll introduce the concept of shadow/darkness as an element? Perhaps instead of the MoUP giving the user control over all of the elements, it instead created a NEW element due to its unstable nature. I mean, all of those elements searching for a dominant hold might result in the creation of a new element. This would explain why the mask itself cloaked Makuta in shadow. Does anyone else think that the whole increase in size might be a nod to how the original Makuta was formless? What if the MoUP took away Makuta's physical form and instead replaced it with an energized state of being? Maybe Makuta has currently taken on the form of a certain giant spider. This might also be why the Golden Mask of Skull Spiders exists. Makuta's original mask was the Mask of Control, perhaps after the battle with Ekimu he forged this new mask as a short-term replacement and then took on the form of LoSS, controlling an army of Skull Spiders and searching for all of the important masks for some type of nefarious purpose related to gaining even more power. I think I mentioned that some months ago in this topic as well as others that maybe the MoUP mutated Makuta into the Lord of Skull Spiders due to his transforming state and pallet swap of Black and red matching those of the LoSS. So "Welcome to the club there Heroic! Glad to have you on board." Yeah this Poster is really cool though I have to question the logic of having Gali be the big bad guy when you are expressing the Skull Spiders you'd think a shadowy version of the Golden Skull Spider would make a better choice. Also not sure why Pohatu and the PoS have the light swords(Not using the correct term on purpose) as it seems that either Tahu and PoF would make better candidates I think. Also gave you your 11th Upvote because that is still an epic poster and if there was a Star Wars Bionicle spoof crossover that would so have to be the poster. Hey as long as it is not an "Ode to Tahu" like the first part of the animations have been I don't really care what part of the stories they depict. Pre-history? Great I'm down to learning a bit more about Okoto's past and maybe how they formed the island. Second one traveling on the Toa's journey to get their masks and combat the Lord of Skull Spiders? Great just keep Tahu either out of it or in an equal part to that of the other Toa. Though what I'd personally like even more could be personal novels for each Toa. While that is a funny picture to see and I have multiple times as each time I watch the movie the scene is in there I don't think that particular phrase would come up in our RP... And, of course, I'll be the one playing that pirate yelling "I've got a jar of dirt!" *sigh* I stand corrected. Still does that mean if I choose to make a drunkard character because it would be kind of interesting to play as I don't drink myself at all but can be equally crazy under my own accord, it would get denied under the premise of the "Jack Sparrow" clause in the RP rules. Or is it more of the Dux Ex Machina rule that somehow this particular Drunkard always seems to get out of every thing unshaved and always seems to have a plan even when he doesn't. Thus he is well beyond the boarderline God modding.

I guess that is on Unicode and Arctic to sort out. That means my hands are tied at the moment until a consensus on the plan is made. I don't even remember arctic posting since I started doing so. So I guess that could be why I missed them. Until we get a post out of Unicode at least should I post or not? If I post leaving and following Tea-Rex's character to the coordinates then that would leave Them SOL. Or if I post still waiting that would mean Grēgorios is on his own...

So this is cool and makes me wonder what happened to the other tribes... There are some really nice concepts but it looks as though the original idea was not so much tribes of animals fighting but rather animal totem tribes fighting over the resources. As many of the early concepts have a face under a more helmet/mask style head piece. This could explain why the actual set have animal printed head pieces with the larger actual animal head over it. Also why the show depicted them not as animal-ish with masks but the masks in the sets were their actual heads. So scrolling down the page one finally gets to more character specific concept art and what looks to be: maybe a lion; a bear; spotted feline; and finally Eagles concepts for the top row and an Ape; Scorpion; cobra/snake; and finally the croc tribes on row 2. I wager that maybe these were the original good Vs bad guy line ups. Though we do see the scorpion further down the line in Season 2 we don't see anything of the snake tribe. Though that could be due to there being a large calling of the species over on the Ninjago story and therefore decided that having two shows with similar creatures may be counter productive. Scrolling down further I see other plausible tribes including: a nice depiction of a Wolf tribe member and an unused bull tribe. Following that is a Bat and a vulture of what I suspect could be a pre-frozen state of the tribe we got later in season 3. Then we get two additional reptilian/aquatic tribes in the form of some form of sea-monster murloc type tribe and a gecko or chameleon tribe. Neither of these must have made it past the concept stages as we only have the crocs in that species category. Further on we see Inks of some of the tribes evolution to what we actually get in set including both a possible leopard tribe and further development on the murloc creature tribe. Just below some of this is what I am taking as the first designs of the Phoenix tribe. Then the first set rounds off with some vehicle concepts. Then it goes into some bad guy concepts including the first wave of frozen zombie tribes. I am saddened at the loss of the Mantis Mosquito, and Rhinoceros Beetle tribes. Though we did get The Spider and Scorpion ones. Did you know we were apparently suppose to get Ice tribe good guys? There are some nice concepts there including a Yak tribe. Though that could just be a frozen bull from the prior concepts. Also I think some of them turned turncoat as they look to be the bad guys instead. I think one of the bad guys was suppose to be a dinosaur not unlike a raptor due to there being a bipedal reptile vehicle concept on the next slide. To think this was only chapter one and so much information. I am going to keep reading and the rest of you can come along as well. Bye for now....

Not a bad likeness. You have a good representation of the mini-figure itself and also whatever them leg things he is standing on are. I am guessing stilts but not sure. Maybe it is just a pedestal or alike.

With a heavy grown he got back to his feet. Looking around he could tell this was a Nui-Jaga tunnel. Scorpio must have dug it while he was trying to escape. "Well we are on the right track as this tunnel is not a natural formation." Doseki explained as he walked over to where Adamas had fallen. Doseki was mentally hitting himself for not thinking they could have been standing over a fragile tunnel. Still he was a Po-Matoran not an Onu-Matoran. Earth was not his strong suit regardless of what some people may misbelieve. "I hope you don't expect me to carry you Adamas. I am strong to be sure but piggybacking a Toa could become taxing." Doseki held out his hand to help the Cy-Toa onto her feet when he heard a noise coming from down the tunnel. That sound he recognized. Receding his hand he looked the Toa square in the eyes. "It may be better if you stay down right now." About the same time Doseki issued a submissive request to the Toa the tunnel echoed with the sound of skittering feet and a piercing sound of constantly shattering glass. Doseki moved quickly to get between Adamas and the oncoming sound as a tan Nui-Jaga bound around the tunnel wall like a freight train...

Orca looked down and seen Aokor's eyes slowly open. The Ga-Matoran smiled knowing that at the very least her patient was awake. She then turned her gaze upon Aine and Zaara. "It would appear she is coming around." Orca figured that now that the wound was closed up, if only partially, and Aokora was not loosing as much it was able to circulate to her brain and allowed her to wake up. "Take it easy there. You have quite the injury to your side. I suspect you are going to be quite groggy for a while. I've managed to stitch up the wound but if you move around too fast or do anything too strenuous it could come open again." Orca tried to help Aokora into a sitting position so she could get her bearings.

The last post I remember we were regrouping around the Venture and its pilot and Doseki were discussing if they were going to take it or the Desert RAT. Then no posts for some time... EDIT: Ok so as far as I remember there were 4 players currently in the rescue mission deal for Pe Ell. Liuth(Hisuti) Myself(Doseki), Tea-Rex(Grēgorios) and Unicode(Elerc). So after reading the topic more amending my current post in that it appears that only Grēgorios seems to have left as there is no post from Liuth myself or Unicode. As the Venture apparently cannot move without a gunner/navigator because the pilot(Elerc) apparently cannot drive and navigate based on his last post. So he and I are/were discussing if Doseki should abandon his RAT in favor of manning the Venture's gun position previously manned by Suko or if Elerc would like to right shotgun in the RAT. I've not noticed a post so that is what I was waiting on. As for Liuth and Hisuti not sure if they followed Grēgorios to the location or not. As he has not posted yet either.

That's my big question. Pirates and Privateers go together like Peanut Butter and Cupcakes. Although, I would understand the rejection of Privateers, since the focus is on unadulterated piracy what is wrong with peanut butter cupcakes? They sound delicious. Also why no Jack Sparrow characters? I think a constantly drunk appearing should have been locked in a padded cell Pirate who can't keep his ship to save his life would be interesting and quite fun/difficult to play.
