  1. Lego Island 1 actually installed and runs with very few hitches for me - the most being I needed to put it in Windows 98 compatibility mode to get everything to render correctly. Still can't catch the Brickster though...
  2. https://www.myabandonware.com/search/q/Lego A good number of Lego PC games are out on the website My Abandonware. You can download and play these games as you wish, provided you can coax them into running on a modern system. Some highlights are the Lego Island games, the Racers games and not-quite-sequel Drome Racers (link here because it didn't show up in the search results), Rock Raiders and Alpha Team. Also, some software for Lego's robotics kits are up as well, like for Spybotics and the Droid Developer Kit, which could be useful if you've lost the CDs. Happy gaming! -Jaga
  3. Can we say we've found the alpha version of the Holy Grail now?
  4. Gah, can't coax it into running on my Windows 10 machine - I get a white screen for half a second, black for half a second, then it quits to the desktop. What I wouldn't give for my old WinXP laptop right now. Maybe some others among you are having better luck?
  5. I hope they create some cool original work. The founder of TT has a channel on YouTube called GameHut where he shows off stuff they worked on for consoles like the Sega Genesis, and it's really cool. I hope with this new studio they get to experiment with different styles of games like they used to, not just Lego games.
  6. Downloading and backing up, it's gonna take one heck of a dataclysm to wipe this off the net.
  7. Hrm. I'm a sucker for MNOG, and I love the music they used there, especially for the fight scenes. Admittedly, it's so compressed it's hard to make out what instruments are what... but say, Pohatu's fight with the Nui-Jaga. It's a catchy, fierce tune; it kinda feels like rock, except instead of an electric guitar you have some sort of Middle Eastern-sounding plucked strings, electronic synth notes instead of drums, and the snake-charmer flute instead of a keyboard or a voice. That's kinda what I think Bionicle music should be - the energy of a rock song, but played on unconventional instruments paired with tech sound. On another note, one thing I love about the RWBY soundtrack is how each character has their own theme song - not just a melody that plays when they enter the room, but a full on song with lyrics relating to their life/personality. I think it'd be sweet if that was one thing Bionicle copied, with characters like the Toa and Makuta each getting their own unique songs, with voice-less, acoustic versions if the situation demands it.
  8. I don't know if the mods would agree to this, but it'd be sweet if you could upload the .iso somewhere.
  9. As the new year brings us one year closer to Flash's expiration date, may I suggest an effort to port MNOG and MNOG2 to ScummVM? http://www.scummvm.org/ I'm not sure how one would go about this, but it seems like a good way to preserve them.
  10. Ho ho ho and a bottle of eggnog! (Merry Christmas from the Jaga's lair)
  11. I agree that the MNOG appearances always take precedence in my mind, for pretty much the same reasons Pohaturon gave. It irks me whenever I want to build Taipu and I want to give him his black Ruru, but I don't have one so I have to settle for the black Pakari. Ah well. I do have a wacky headcanon going on, though, where the human writers for Bionicle travel to Mata Nui and interview the inhabitants so they can get the facts straight for MNOG, the books and comics and all that. Whenever the writers come, Hafu and Taipu switch masks or swap places in each other's villages or some similar prank. And because of their pranks the writers can never keep which one is Hafu and which one is Taipu straight.
  12. You know, I haven't actually listened to the Piraka Rap. The only reason I know about it is because of the (Yo Yo) Piraka Comics... I'm a heretic, aren't I?
  13. Out of curiosity, how hard would it be to modify your Miru model to have gaps in the forehead, like this picture? http://biosector01.com/wiki/File:Damek_MNOLG.png I'm just asking because it seems like it'd be easy to turn it into a MNOG-style Miru... but then again I know nothing about 3D models or 3D printing.
  14. I would be cynic too, but I have to imagine how these things smell. Like, I can imagine opening a box of these and having that wonderful hardwood smell wafting out of the box. That, and it'd be cool to replace all the elements that are supposed to be wood on a MOC with, you know, actual wood. Like building a castle and having an actual wooden drawbridge and stuff.
  15. I need to change my username, Jaxus is the real genius on this forum (on a slightly less-spam note I'd love to see Rahkshi mechs... actually, any of the old enemies as mechs. Visorak mechs, Tarakava mechs, Jaga mechs, Bohrok mechs (wait that's a Boxor isn't it)...)
  16. Forget you? You, pizza delivery man, assistant zombie slayer, Soran's lawyer against the fourth wall, ghostbuster, destroyer of the green hills of Ireland? IMPOSSIBLE! Happy birthday!
  17. Well... I can see where you're coming from... and I have a bunch of red pin-axle things and cordaks I could've used. I don't know, I really love the .22 shells. They make the most satisfying noise, when you pop the gauntlets open and they all spill out. Maybe I should've made one gauntlet with red ammo and the other with the shells? As for the mention, no problem!
  18. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liquid_breathing I've seen a picture of this in a biology textbook before, I think. There's a mouse in this beaker full of liquid (I think perfluorocarbon), and it's alive and breathing inside the beaker. Maybe the liquid protodermis in the chutes is a kind of liquid that can be used for liquid breathing?
  19. Just something quick I made today to celebrate RWBY's fifth season. I started building the gauntlets and it all kinda went downhill from there... Front Side Back Inside of gauntlet Anyhow, comments, critiques, and similar jazz are appreciated. Hope you're all hyped for another season of punching monsters in the face and terrible puns! (Also take a look at KZN02's version of Nora and her hammer, it's pretty sweet: here) -Jaga
  20. So that's why no one goes trick-or-treating at LOSS's house.
  21. Not quite sure what my favorite and least favorite are, I feel compelled to mention something: Everybody talks about the Toa Metru lids turning into Matoran spheres, but you can also take a disk and fit it into the notches on the top of the lid. I did it with Vakama's disk and can all the time.
  22. I always have to have a Bohrok on hand for school assignments. Banging your head against a hard problem? Banging your head against the wall in frustration? Just grab a Bohrok, press a button, and presto! He does the hard work of head-banging so you don't have to! Tahnok-Kal has been my loyal assistant in that regard. So yeah, I like the Bohrok-Kal.
  23. So Eleventyseven has a song called "Evil Genius". My sister put it on a cheap MP3 player we found lying outside one day, I heard it and fell in love with the song. So I started acting like an evil genius, trying to use my brain more, trying to plan things ahead, teaching myself how to program because all evil geniuses are hackers, right? And I like Nui-Jagas too. So from that I came up with Evil Jaga Genius. Most of the time, when I don't want to sound completely edgy to people, I prefer going by Jaga.
