  1. Is New Atero still standing at this point in time? I was thinking of jumping in again, with Dedris heading out from there.
  2. This bruiser's primary functions are to kick butt and chew gum. And he just learned that droids can't chew gum. My entry for BBC #74. The goal of this wasn't exactly to make a faithful image of an SBD, but to make something that was really fun to play with. In that spirit, this guy has a gear-operated blaster arm. Turn the gear and he'll stretch his arm out into the firing position, turning his hand around just like he does in the movies. His wrist blaster is a pair of flick-fire missiles. The other arm isn't gear-operated, but it does have the wrist rocket SBDs always seem to have in the video games but not in the movies. I know he isn't the prettiest thing in the world, but he was a lot of fun to build, especially working out that blaster arm! Anyhow, comments are very welcome. Enjoy! 3. Just finished up my entry, will post pictures soon. EDIT: Here 'tis. Member Name: evil_jaga_genius Entry Name: Super Battle Droid Entry Photo: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B7863sQWxf-xaXk1bVFMdE1rSTg Entry Topic: http://www.bzpower.com/board/topic/24944-super-battle-droid-bbc-74/ (now here's hoping someone else enters because it'll be really awkward if I'm the only one in...) EDIT 2: I just realized there was a link to the entry form in the first post. Oops. Carry on.
  4. Out comes a really creepy doll with eyes that stare into your soul... In goes a small army of battle droids.
  5. Out comes fizzy caffeinated Hordika venom. As if Pepsi didn't send you into a mutagen-fueled frenzy already. In goes Greece.
  6. Out comes the mightiest tree, and a herring. In goes Monty Python.
  7. I just found the first two Lego Star Wars games at a Goodwill the other day, so I'm in a good mood for this one. Trying to think of what I could do that would be Dark Side themed... I know I'm good at designing guns and weapons. I was thinking about doing one of the members of Delta Squad from Republic Commando with their fancy modular blasters... hrm. Anyhow, good luck everyone and may the Force be with you all!
  8. Sweet, I love MMBN! Mega Man that I can actually play =P What precisely do you need help with? Also do you have a demo or something in a playable state?
  9. A skater girl sees something coppery glimmering in a dumpster by the rink. She digs in a little bit to reveal... something. It looks like some geometric sort of face. Did an android, or a mechanized person, come by and get mugged? Did they strip off its faceplate to hide the serial number and leave the body unidentifiable? Whatever it is, it's bad luck. Maybe it's best if it just stays - A crash in the alley. Footsteps. A vague glow coming off of holographic pistol sights. Looks like they came back to finish the job. The girl tries backing away but the way is blocked by a wire fence. She sinks her fingers into the chain links as a raindrop falls, sparking as it hits the top wire. The pistols raise as their wielders examine their quarry through the sights' glowing L.Amp lenses. She hardly notices the green letters shining on the inside of the face. Put on the mask. She can feel the thing reaching out and latching on to the implants on the side of her head. Suddenly, she's engulfed in a blinding flash as power rushes through every nerve and circuit in her body. Metal forms in sheets across her skin, and newfound weight tugs at her sides - but strangely familiar as well. The thing came alive in her grip, unfolding in her hand, and realization shot through her brain. She'd seen that shape before. Long, long ago, back in the school trip to the museum. The carvings of the ancient heroes of old, stone embossed with copper paint. The legendary Pohatu and his mighty boomerangs, summoning up sandstorms with a wave of his hand. And now that same power coursed through her veins, with the ancient Kakama on her face and the boomerang in her hand. The light faded - and there stood the hero, reborn. *** Oh man. I do admit I hated on Gen2 more than my fair share, but if there's one redeeming quality it had, it was Pohatu. Jet-powered boomerangs! How awesome is that? So a skater girl in a cyberpunk, dystopian city finds the legendary mask of Toa Pohatu. She puts it on and turns into a reincarnation of the ancient hero. This reborn Pohatu has heavy rocket boots, guns on the wrists that shoot instant-drying cement, and a pair of extremely versatile jet-powered boomerangs. Said boomerangs can be used just as boomerangs, they can be strapped to the feet and used as rocket-skates, or linked together into an energy bow. Oh, and they fold up too when not in use. The Kakama rests on a band implanted into her shoulder when not worn. For what it's worth, I think this is my... third? time coming up with a female design as well. I think it's improving. 10. I re-installed and played a few rounds of Quake Live the other day, then thought to myself: Why the heck do we need Quake Champions when we already have a perfectly good Quake game for the 21st century in Quake Live? I'm not mad that they brought in the whole totally-not-Overwatch "Champions", but they got rid of all the other little things. Anarki can't troll you by playing a game in his VR goggles in the middle of a match now, and he doesn't have the Lost Soul decal on his board. No references to Quake 2, 4, or Wars at all. No plasma gun (they could have revived the Hyperblaster!), no chaingun, no grenade launcher, no BFG. Don't even get me started on the changes to the railgun. From what I currently see it looks like they'll be ditching singleplayer and mods and be giving us collectible skins instead. I doubt there'll be a level editor either. Am I the only one frustrated with the state of things at the moment? EDIT: Steam Summer Sale is happening. Any good recommendations? (here's mine: Freedom Planet is awesome. Check it out.)
  11. Out comes METR. In goes some Matoran Eating Tasty Rahi.
  12. Oh yeah I forgot all about Vezon! Vezon should come back from whatever alternate dimensions he's visiting and drop in from time to time. Wreak havoc, generate chaos, say hello to the gang (I'm assuming there'll be some familiar names) and tell outrageous stories to make the canon all complex and convoluted. It's not Bionicle without our beloved Toa of Anarchy.
  13. This looks sweet! Mind if I try a Keerahk variant?
  14. "RuneScape! Now that is a name I have not heard in a long, long time..." I used to play, that was about... six? Seven? years back. I think the highest I got was lvl.40 magic? Gosh it's been a long time. I made a new account, just for old time's sake, though I haven't even gone through the new tutorial yet. E_Jaga_G if anyone wants to add me as a friend or whatever. It looks like they changed a lot in my absence though. Anybody care to explain things to a not-quite-newbie?
  15. Quick, someone draw a mustache on his face...
  16. Onua: I'm just saying, if we had turned left by that water fountain-- Pohatu: I AM NOT LOST!
  17. I wish for... -Lots of little polybag Rahi sets, possibly a random one per bag and definitely collectible -A team of heroes with familiar names. I don't care if it's the Mata, Metru, Inika, or even the Chronicler's Company, just some familiar faces. -To rival the team of revived heroes, a team of revived villains. Ahkmou, Vultraz, Mavrah, Nidhiki, Metus, and Tuyet. -While we're at it, I also wish this 'team of traitors' sticks around longer than just one wave - preferably acting as long-term rivals over the series' entire run. -A free online game in the spirit of MNOG to flesh out the world... -And finally, more focus on the Matoran and ordinary villagers. Stories about ordinary people doing extraordinary things. One thing. I do want to make it clear I do NOT want a carbon copy of Gen1. Gen1 already happened and was good. Gen2 tried really hard to copy it and was nowhere near as good. So no, don't try copying Gen1. Taking ideas and inspirations from Gen1, though, and putting new spins and twists on them is fair game.
  18. I don't mean to rain on your parade, but the Kane-Ra pic in the screenshots is one of NickonAquaMagna's: http://nickinamerica.deviantart.com/art/BB-Kane-Ra-color-ref-197319391 I just want to know, did you get permission from him to use it? If not you should probably clear that up now.
  19. Beat Phantasy Star 1 with extensive help from a walkthrough. The game reminds me of Bionicle in a lot of ways, what with its sci-fi and fantasy blend, the three planets and travel between them, robots and spacecraft landing next to medieval villages. I do recommend playing it in an emulator - I used one called Gens+, with a speed-boost button to help with grinding and hq2x rendering so it looks all smooth and pretty.
  20. Normally I'm kindof a snob regarding RPG Maker games... that it's not 'real' programming and all. I'd like to think I've toned it down a bit in recent months, but that's just me. Man, it'd be great to have people working on games again... I wonder how many people own RPG Maker around here, anymore? I think it'd be awesome if somebody tried a sort of community project, making an RPG. Sortof like how they do it with Doom maps, it's free to join and contribute just a little bit. There's an idea along those lines somewhere in my head, it needs refining, though.
  21. Here ya go. My savegame is probably still there, ignore it and/or delete it. https://drive.google.com/uc?export=download&id=0B7863sQWxf-xaU04V1dVdlRsLVU
  22. I have a copy of one called "Map of Mata Nui" and I'm pretty sure I have Flow of the River too, if anyone's interested.
  23. And now we learn that Hero Factory's evil plot all along wasn't to topple Bionicle, but to pepper every unfortunate soul who dares drive over the speed limit with tickets... =P I like it, the armor's simple but unique, I love the skates. How did you do the goggles on the mask, is it painted or is it 3D-printed or something else?
  24. I'm pretty sure Vakama says somewhere in MNOG that "the Prophecies have changed," which to me kinda defeats the point. Isn't a prophecy supposed to be static and predictable? So I blame Vakama for spreading his weird prophecies and astrology all over Mata Nui.
  25. Is anyone else here a fan of indie games? Just wondering.
