Originally he was planned to be more brown but I wanted to make him have more copper to match his mask and the metallic dark grey was more or less because of the armor pieces I had to work with plus I wanted him to look a little more different than my other toa of stone on the team which I'll end up posting soon. I can't take credit for the hand design as I saw it first done my Callanlof with one of his many creations.

So what happens when you put Bionicle and RockRaiders? Well you get this guy. So back story for this build is I wanted to build a RockRaider Bionicle. Also I wondered what a Glatorian who collected stuff would look like given the chance to be in Metru nui. However story for the character is he is a Glatorian who was always one for collecting junk and when Makuta died he eventually ended up collecting all kinds of junk from the old Matoran Universe such as a lot of rakshi armor, a kanoka disk, zamor spheres (which he has since modified his thornax launcher to use), a powerless kakama, and really any other piece of "junk" he could find. Half of the items he has he forgets he has as there is just to much of it for him to keep track of which leads him to constantly loss stuff and get new stuff. He also in time started collecting information from people and has become a person you go to to get information. However you either need a lot of widgets of pieces of junk he find valuable to his needs. Hope you folks like him. -Onvermel-

So when I first joined I posted Onvermel my self moc and I ended up revamping all the other members of his team to his style of build. So the first I have to show is Dukat toa of stone. A bit of back story is that he is a very aggressive and not really likable toa of stone from the Island of Eciep Nui. -Onvermel-

Well I'm going to do the same thing as last time Bionicle ended. Nothing different I always built with Bionicle and system a and will continue to do so. Probably will continue to collect Gen1 stuff and hopefully keep my blog going. Who know I don't really plan what I do when a theme dies I just kinda do whatever I feel like doing. -Onvermel-

It was not easy. Haha I bet.Getting none Bionicle Lego fans is hard enough as it is. Tried, failed horribly.But for a first time good job. Looks better than some hero factory sets. Yeah some hero factory are really bad. However I would not say failed as it's colour is more evenly distributed than many creations I've seen including my on own at times which I think warrants recognition. -Onvermel-

Dang it I knew a typo would sneak in. Definitely annoying. Makes me wonder what people felt before 2003 hit and they hadn't gotten their titan form makuta.

(Yes it's suppose to be "lack" not "lake") So I kinda noticed something that really disappointed me while building the 2016 makuta combo model. In the 12 years bionicle has been producing sets only one official Makuta set for both Gens has been made. In 2003 we got his titan form but after that we only got Ultimate Dume which was a combo model, Turaga Dume which isn't really makuta just a form he took, Maxilos just a form he possessed, then finally the unofficial combo model from 2016. I just find it rather sad that the main villain from all 12 years of Bionicle only got one set that was just him nothing else. Is this just a thing I take issue with or do you folks also agree with this? Onvermel

Personally I believe we won't be getting any new original theme from Lego to fill the void of constraction. Instead I think Lego will be putting more effort on their star wars ones and possibly new superhero ones as star wars has proven that licensed constraction can work if done right. It's still possible that a new line of constraction will come out in a the next couple years but I'm betting on licensed. Onvermel

This is really awesome. I am very impressed with the fact that it's size is about what it should be for the sets. Also making masks out of system is never a easy job so well done. Onvermel

Sad just sad. I was hoping for something that would exceed the first two yet it they were both worse than the first half. Pohatu is still the best character. I also found that there was to many new unanswered/unexplained stuff. Overall. Disappointing. Onvermel

This personally seems like that best date so far. Also I'm not suggesting we all change our names as I just think we should have a day for it just out of complete fun.. Not saying we actually need to celebrate it in anyway but to rather have it for prosperity's sake. Onvermel

Further up, an idea was proposed that we'd be able to change names for a day or two, and the 90 day wait thing would be made ineffective just for that time. But yes, anything of that nature would be a bit too complex. Best to just limit it to a celebration of a significant day concerning BIONICLE. I'd vote for the official launch date of the line back in 2001. Literally the birth of BIONICLE, and by extension, our community. I think that narrows it down right there. Agreed. My thoughts exactly.

Yeah there is a lot of ideas for days. Personally I think the day Gen 1's made it's first appearance in the Lego world would be nice one as well. Really It's kinda hard to say for sure what day would work. Right now I really wish there was some kind of matoran calendar to base it off. Onvermel

I feel as a whole there is one thing the Bionicle community is missing and that is "Naming day". As far as I am aware there is no day that the community think should be naming day and I feel as the only matoran holiday we need to stamp one day in the year as "Naming day" so when it roles around we can all wish each other a happy naming day. I mean I love "Talk like a pirate day" it's so fun and I think something similar can be done with this lovely matoran holiday. Personally I think a series of poles should be done to determine in. One for the month once that one is done we do one for day of the chosen month. Thoughts? Onvermel

Your method is similar to mine, but mine takes much quicker, and doesn't involve any pressure on the eyes. I take my Swiss army knife, using one of the bottle openers (As it is thin, but gets thicker. this is quite crucial), I stick it between the eyes and head, and simply push it through. since my utensil gets thicker, it pushes the eyes out enough where I can now grasp it and wiggle it out. Only the most stubborn of eyes take more than 15 seconds or so. Maybe I should make a video or take some photos.... Toa Han Here I'll help you out brother with that one. Well many many different reason for me. One would have to be as many would say the uniqueness, story and atmosphere which are all great within Bionicle plus the collectables have always been fun for me as I always wanted to collect the mask which in the past year or two have grown into not just mask but disks, karaata, krana and anything else. However probably the most important factor for me would be the fact it has always been there for me. I got into Bionicle in 2001 which was pretty young for me and it always had something for me weather it was a way for me to be creative and build mocs or play with action figures which was also unique for lego but later years it allowed me to express my creative writing and world building in a way that I don't think anything else had given me. Threw my whole life (at least the stuff I can remember well) Bionicle had been there giving me what I need threw reading, playing, building or writing. Onvermel

Agreed Pohatu and Umarak are the best characters. It also helps for me as well I am a sucker for pohatu but also he got a lot more screen time in Jounrey to One than the other toa and actaully got character building on him and as you were saying that he is different than Gen 1 I believe that helped him even more as it would be giving the writers and story team an easy time with him as it probably gave them more creative freedom with his character. 2016 for the sets and story as I feel that even though 2015 was still really good Lego was still testing it out. To much of the source of story (Book, graphic novel and animations) were all telling the same story which for me kinda made it less interesting plus this year the story is expanding into more parts and history of Okoto as well as more about the Mask Makers past. Looking at the sets I really did like 2015 but I have always been a fan of the gribble parts of Geb 1 one and the 2016 sets also just had more interesting builds with their arms and legs and even bodies and with the villains 2016 was much better I mean common Umarak is awesome enough said. I just how that a third year come around that will continue of this trend of getting better each year. Onvermel
