  1. IC: Tezzek "Well, my encampment is pretty secluded. I keep it far enough from the path that no idle passerby will accidentally stumble across it," He said, a tiny amount of pride at his own cleverness in his voice. "Besides, you're a stranger to this region. I might as well keep you company to the nearest settlement. Strength in numbers, and all." He glanced back the way they came, towards Ga-Wahi and it's calm, rolling expanses. "Not enough travel Old Fusa these days, anyways. Those possessions I've left behind will be safe."
  2. IC: Tezzek Glancing towards the town at the base of the grumbling volcano, Tezzek sighed. "I guess you're right." He took a deep breath, squared his shoulders, and shot her a tepid smile. "To the village of fire, then. Lead on," he finished, gesturing forward in a wide, sweeping fashion.
  3. IC: Tezzek Tezzek blinked twice, shaking his head slowly. "I'm sorry, dear companion, it seems I had zoned out there for a bit. My apologies." He turned back towards the panorama of gold and green, every crest now scorched orange by the late day sun. "That said, with a view like this, I'm surprised that there are no settlements here. Even as a tourist trap, a view like this is worth it." He said longingly, gazing at the landscape below. OOC: Sorry that took so long, college classes started kicking my posterior.
  4. IC: Tezzek "A task for when you have many hands to help you." He said with a nod. "And do not worry, I'll be glad to provide any assistance I can in helping your family get set up in the region." He remained quiet for a time, before gazing back northward, towards the arid landscape his traveling companion called home. "How long of a journey is it back to your family?" He asked, realizing the vast distance laid out before them. "Not to long or lonesome, I hope."
  5. IC: Tezzek "Ah," he replied, a soft sigh escaping from beneath his mask. "Still, for you to casually refer to them as family means you often live with them in close proximity. That's a fair list of family though." He paused a moment, breathing in the crisp, dry volcanic air. "So, where else do you need samples from?" IC: Tezzek "Ah," he replied, a soft sigh escaping from beneath his mask. "Still, for you to casually refer to them as family means you often live with them in close proximity. That's a fair list of family though." He paused a moment, breathing in the crisp, dry volcanic air. "So, where else do you need samples from?"
  6. IC: Tezzek Turning, Tezzek let out a slow whistle. "It sure is." Glancing down, he saw in the distance a faint wisp of smoke, probably the smoldering remains of what was once his campfire. I hope that the crab meat is still edible, he thought idly. He chuckled softly at himself over his unusual fixation on that crab.
  7. IC: Tezzek With a sigh, and a smile, he glanced around, before turning back and looking far back on the path. "I hope that meat doesn't go rancid before I get back," he muttered under his breath, before turning back and following his new companion. OOC: Tezzek to Ta-Wahi
  8. IC: Tezzek Tezzek blinked. "Excuse me. I know I'm a toa of sonics, but did I just hear that right? Fourteen?" He whistled, slowly and softly, as he gazed up. "Now that's what I'd call a family." He shook his head, as he looked back down at his companion. "Fourteen potential neighbors. Now that's something you don't hear of every day. It's like going from being the only matoran in town to having an entire koro move in overnight." He gazed northward, towards what must inevitably be the arid lands of Po-Wahi. "That'll take some serious effort relocating all those beings."
  9. OOC: Sorry I disappeared for so long, a number of back to back trips for family affairs, and then the beginning of my summer class, have really kept me away from anything. IC: Tezzek "Ah, I figured as much. I can agree, Ko-wahi is far too cold for my taste. Still, back when merchants traveled this road frequently, I found that their crafts were fantastic. A shame that trade has withered slightly." He smiled at his companion, turning his gaze back from the distant peaks. "So, it's your whole family that you're resettling? That must be quite a feat. How many others might be joining us, should you choose to call my quiet little corner of the world home?"
  10. IC: Tezzek "Thank you. Not many people happen to appreciate the natural beauty of this region." He said, looking around. "Yeah, this road has a fork I often prowl, conjoining this region with that of Ko-Wahi. Not much trade from that way these days." He turned back to his companion. "You ever here about that region? It just kinda dropped off the map. And did you say something about settling the region?"
  11. IC: Tezzek "Of course," he said, pausing mid-stride. "Perhaps because this place is so far removed from everything. The ground is good, the air is nice, and there's already a trade route in place. Ideal conditions. But if something happens out here, no one is around for kios. Just the occasional hermit, like me, who likes it that way." A hand drifted up to his chin, and he looked around. "It often seems, to me, that the world has forgotten about our little corner of the universe. Not many use this way these days, and fewer still will stop to say hello."
  12. IC: Tezzek "Really dangerous? There's occasionally some nasty rahi, maybe a Muka up these ways, and rarely the smaller rahi will stampede, but aside from that, nothing particularly noticeable. Old fusa path brings out the homelyness in people, from what I've seen. Maybe an overambitious hunter, but it's rare to find someone who actively means to do harm." Tezzek turned, eyes sweeping the area. While he could hear everything, that didn't always tell him exactly what it was. "If you get real close to the shore, Tarakava start to become an issue, but the ground's not as good for growing things, so I doubt you'll find yourself in much trouble."
  13. IC: Tezzek A faint smile crossing his face, Tezzek turned. "I'm always happy to assist those who need it. Anything else you'd like to know about the area? Living here alone definitely gave me time to explore, and learn a few things about the region."
  14. IC: Tezzzek Leaning back, he gasped. "Oh, Mata-nui, look at me, I haven't even introduced myself." He leaned forward, extending his hand. "I'm Tezzek, the Path's local hermit. I'd be glad to lead you down the path a ways."
  15. IC: Tezzek "Ah. No, not in this part of the world. Old Fusa Path may be well worn, but nobody really lives out here. Just me and nature," he said, with a chuckle. "Really, I just spend my out here to avoid the loud bustle of the Koro." he sighed, then looked away from the wooded patch, into the grassy plains. "You're with a farming group? This certainly would be prime territory, and not many people seem to want to live the simple life out here. You could work acres by the dozens, and never deal with competition. Plus, favorable winds bring ash up this way from Ta-Wahi, so the land must be pretty fertile up these ways." Gazing down the empty path, he smiled. "This road may look empty, but it gets plenty of travel, believe me. You'd always have someone coming along, so company wouldn't be hard to come by. Caravaneers and traders mostly, too, so the business would be good." He looked to his Vortixx companion and smiled softly. "Be nice to have neighbors again, too."
