Primal was originally meant to be a new form of Optimus Prime, before both he and Megatron were retconned into new characters. So my point still stands. There's very little that's actually different between G1 2001 and G2 2015 when you think about it, but if you're just generally using "trukk not munky" as "new = bad" allegory, then yes, your comparison is sound.

Also, trukk not munky is generally used to mean "new = bad" nowadays, so that's why I brought it up. I don't think it's actually been used to refer to outrage over Primal since BW ended.

But if I DID do it, it would be called BZPMeN to avoid confusion with Mata Nui, but then I'd force everyone to play a female character.

Ah, but 2015's combo feature required taking the sets apart partially, which anyone could do. The new Toa can link up with their creature buddies without disassembly.
