    Absolutely agree with this. I count up to five different colours, disregarding the trans-blue in this toa, but the colours flow together so well! The silver manages to draw the eyes to the claws as well, thanks to their contrast. Beautiful colour scheme.

    Oh now I get it. You can still turn the gear whereas normally the axle would get stuck in the axle-hole. have you tried using those minifgure-size lightsaber-blade pieces? Technically they can be inserted in axle-holes and turn, albeit with great friction.

    I really can't imagine a proper reason to use the former. To begin with the build looks too big to ever properly hide, but most importantly, I don't see when one would need to drive antennae instead of axles through a metru torso. The second thing does seem lovely. It doesn't seem to be usable as a trap door considering the gears would get in the way. Wouldn't know if it could work as some mechanism that has something pop out, considering the gears would yet again get in the way. But perhaps as some kind of catapult? Perhaps something to illustrate a steady looking floor breaking apart, like an earthquake happening?

    The light is supposed to be his eye, in order to fit with the aesthetic set by the previous MOC. Someone did point out to me that the holes do look like eyes and mouth. I can assure you though, that was completely unintentional Shame seeing how the face formed just above the eye looks much more like that of a brute, than the mouth-less one-eyed one, to me. Nice job on the lights btw.

    ? The large angled white sections between the yellow and dark grey are very visible eyes... Yeah but they're not shaped like eye's at all. They're too far removed from the shape of an eye for me to consider them acceptably good. I think the shape's fine, it's just that the eyes don't really pop out due to their colour. The yellow kinda hides them. I don't know what piece was used for the eyes, but should the eyes be blue or red I think they'd pop out more.

    Your method is similar to mine, but mine takes much quicker, and doesn't involve any pressure on the eyes. I take my Swiss army knife, using one of the bottle openers (As it is thin, but gets thicker. this is quite crucial), I stick it between the eyes and head, and simply push it through. since my utensil gets thicker, it pushes the eyes out enough where I can now grasp it and wiggle it out. Only the most stubborn of eyes take more than 15 seconds or so. Maybe I should make a video or take some photos.... Toa Han Yes, video please! And thanks for the advice, much appreciated.

    Yes you can actually. My brother and I have done this many times. Overtime, they can get a bit looser, but I haven't had any issues yet. Toa Han Any tips? I can't get the things to let go.

    Does it work if the head has an eyestalk? I don't believe those things can be removed once they're "clicked" in.

    The wings seem awfully small. I don't get the feeling they'd support him if he wanted to fly.

    Repeating this because I feel like we missed the memo. Move on. Isn't the backstory part of the moc? I guess it isn't completely made up by the builder, seeing how part of it is non-fiction, thus violating the 'my' in 'my-own-creation', but I say we should still be able to discuss the moc. It's not like there aren't any mocs that aren't completely original.

    Love how you used exo-force torso's as base for the fingers. That's really clever! The buckler is also cleverly made, having horns form the outer ring, an Atlantis triangle forming the base, it's really nice! He also gives me Knight's Kingdom vibes, you know with the cape 'n crown 'n all. Guess it's not the theme of the contest, but nostalgic nevertheless.

    It looks just like the original manas, but improved! It's wonderful how you can tell it's manas and still see how much more improved it is. Especially great is how you managed to replicate their rectangular body by using pieces to form a custom version. It even still functions the same way as the original! Outstanding job.

    I love how the boomerangs turned into pincers. That's ingenious.

    Absolutely love how you used pieces more commonly used in the first years of Bionicle. Like, the shoulder-plates, the Hau, the dark-brownish grey pieces, and even the wider type of tubes! This thing really reminds me of, specifically the first year of, Bionicle.

    I get the feeling the gold represents armour. It feels off to me to cover armour by internal bones, tbh. Love the bow. It having three prongs on both sides gives it this aura of being some kind of ceremonial weapon.

    Gorgeous! How did you manage to make a full circle? Is there some tube running through the metru-heads which forms the circle? Also, those #3 angle axle extenders come in silver as well. They're currently the only light-grey piece I can see on this creation, aside from the bushes. I also really like the chromatic plus transblue colour scheme.

    Where's the point of a challenge if there are no rules/limitations? Where's the fun in a challenge when you can't use your full creativity? I get challenges need to have limitations to be challenges, but this limitation seems in poor taste Imo. I've seen a few too many revamped/reworked/remastered versions of official sets lately.

    You made this hulk of a set even bulkier, without him looking too big either. Good job there. I'm not sure whether the extra bulk is a good or a bad thing compared to the original, but I guess it makes him look different from the original. I like the additions of the surfboard and sheathed swords. With regards to the challenge, I'm not sure why you'd want to limit the pieces to be used so much. Wouldn't it be much more fun if one's allowed to use any piece? In the same way I don't understand why you limited yourself to only pieces of these two sets for this creation.

    The torso looks a little bit cluttered. I'm not feeling very comfortable with the silver armour pieces it's got next to the orange skeletal carcass. It feels like they poke out a bit too much which gives the torso a strange shape. I see a lot of work went to building the whole thing.

    Ignoring the megablocks for a sec, is that eyepiece a cut lightsaber piece? Anywho, I've got to agree with a post above, looking a little carefully one can make out a face on the head of spry, where one would not expect a face to be at.
