  1. Really cool find, any idea if this wall is still like this? Any details about the region?
  2. lol, I really do get that impression from TLG at times, that dabbing figure in Vidyo...*shudders (I love the old emojis, such a rush of nostalgia)
  3. It's already been covered in this topic that they look the same but I thought I'd add that the *ahem chest is the wrong way anyway, anatomically speaking, so it's not unreasonable for it to be both on males and females as a 'mantle' (Think Jaller Mahri's chest armor etc.)
  4. I know Lenny keeps repeating the same stuff and that can be annoying, but I think you guys could be a bit kinder on him, especially you @Lorentz, you've been very blunt and maybe that's just you, but a calm response (And no gloating) to Lenny could achieve the same means (Silence) and perhaps with a better result, say, mutual respect that we all have different opinions?
  5. I wouldn't mind being kept posted on this, I've always felt strongly that a 2D animated episodic series is one of the most viable mediums for a retelling, the link is broken but if there was a new one I would like to pop in.
  6. I second this, I wouldn't mind some tips on that. Just even owning one piece would be neat.
  7. I think I agree with all of @capMARVELOUS opening statement, especially about one being truly dead only when one is forgotten. As long as fan works keep being made, stories keep being told, then Bionicle is still not dead. I made my Lego Ideas project as I wanted just a single tribute from TLG and I wanted to gauge reaction to such a thing. It seems the community does not have much resilience as after Sokoda's was rejected a lot of bitter venom was vented about Lego and after that it is much harder to get people interested in a project. But yeah, I'm not too phased if my personal IDEAS project expires or makes it and gets chopped, building a detailed GSR model in time for the anniversary was reward in itself and hopefully more people will feel that way as they mature, that reward can be found in their fan works. Also about the canon contests, I personally think they are great, sure the first couple have been bumpy but ironing out bugs was always going to be a step, I'm very satisfied with the result for Artahka at least. One thing as well that makes them more tolerable is to think of it as a springboard for ideas, the winning model serves as inspiration for all. TLG has changed a lot even in the last 5 years so I think it's not a priority to them, they often jump on trends like toys to life late, if an action figure or robot trend happens again maybe they'll revisit it. But stating once again, learning to be self sufficient will be good for the fandom, already I see a lot of fan characters and original works, especially coming out of Studio and the fan made part packs etc.
  8. Shame I procrastinated and did not enter. In all honesty though I have a feeling my favourite moment has not happened yet...
  9. My brother mostly buys sets and I leech off his purchases...so my first set is his not mine. Corroder from HF was the first constraction set in the house and the first Bionicle set was the mask, head and waist of Vakama who was promptly rebuilt into a Mataron... After that the first true sets we got were all the Bohrok minus Gahlok and Kohrak.
  10. Indeed. I've only been a fan since 2015 so I've never known the community when it was more active, I think I am going to celebrate by participating in my first Collab (Dark Hunters reimagined) Actually marking Bionicle day on my calendar (All previous years I've forgotten and let it pass by) and doing all I can to get my Ideas project to 10k before then. Also I think I'll do a drawing or something that can be a nice screen saver.
  11. Wow this is quite an interesting development, I was unaware of this forgotten story material. Will definitely be looking forward to the panel!
  12. Sorry for the long delay in responding, got busy and stuff. Thank you for all the kind words guys! Yes, the elbows have ratcheting joints. Elsewhere Exo-Force/Knights Kingdom joints are mainly used. In my latest update I have added just that! You are right about the piece count, even the smallest thing such as this plate adds about 60 pieces. Yes, I totally will release instructions in such a scenario! However it should be noted that it has recolours so I would think you'll have to deviate from the instructions a bit. Thank you! Yeah, I would be quite disappointed if the community lets this fail as well. Honestly I've been struggling to find more supports, I've reached most English speaking groups and some have upwards of 30,000 members! And yet most ignore it If everyone who has voted so far told some friends then we could easily hit 10k, the project is already near 6000! Btw I've updated the pictures and am waiting on Ideas to approve the new, improved pictures.
  13. Idk what the rules are on doubling posting but felt I might as well emphasize this. At the end of the day we don't need Lego. We can always make our own content and own projects
  14. No offense but most of your bucket list seems like a pipe dream. Only 1, 6, 8 and 10 are realistic. 1 may seem difficult but there are plenty of avenues to make it happen *cough (Lego Ideas projects) plus Lego doing something out of the goodness of their corporate heart. 6 is guaranteed, TTV hasn't specified as far as I'm aware when things are going to start up again but that will be a nice ongoing thing to provide stimulus for the community. 8 Is a project, a project with lots of hype and one that seems to have a team who will get it done. 10 I'm not sure but Faber has put off "the project" for a while now, but surely a years time will be enough to release what it is. Also 4 overlaps with 1 so it could happen. The rest however...how? Why would Greg start the serials up again? Why does Lego have to make a wave of Bionicle and Hero factory sets? Why would they remake some games? Why would Lego in their right mind bring back constraction? I love constraction but I can understand that Lego might want it to rest awhile seeing as it has been anything but popular. I think the best hope is an Ideas set weather that be from the polls or someone's homebrewed one plus more contests, more fan game updates and maybe a big reveal from Faber.
  15. Indeed, this was among other things one of my primary motives, I felt the Robot wasn't too difficult to get right and at least deserves a Moc that captures its likeness. I'm so happy you think it's awesome
  16. Hello BZPower boards, long time no see for me. I figured I'd share with you guys my Lego Ideas project! Its my first Studio build, my first Ideas project and my biggest Moc to date It numbers 1984 pieces after the last update and I hope to round it off to 2001 parts when I'm done (maybe by adding the prototype robot or Red star or a baseplate) I've posted this Moc elsewhere but for the most part haven't got to much advice etc. So I'd love to hear you guys opinions! Also we're close to 5000 supports so lend a hand, spread the word https://ideas.lego.com/projects/0c310848-b5eb-4d71-85b6-258bc99b0b73 Enjoy!
  17. I love me a good spider Thomas, simple but effective part usage
  18. Yeh, I had a feeling using the term ‘biotube’ would be incorrect. It’s just that I’ve been putting off trying my hand at stop motions and I am finally ready to make some, but I’m not sure if anyone is interested, considering the state of things.
  19. (Responding to Iron man 5) Elaborate...hmm. It just is overwhelming to have something like this finally happening, it was easy before to just leave up in the air as to characters appearances but to set this in stone is a very big move. Especially for me, I have never had something like this happen in the (relatively) short time I’ve been interested in bionicle, I am terrified and excited thinking that I might be able to actually contribute to the fandom. Maybe.
  20. WOW, this is amazing and kinda terrifying. Good point about the stories tho.
  21. btw this is kinda two questions. I only just noticed that Jaller Locobots J3III3R has been finally made and has been out for a while. I’ve only watched 7 episodes so far. I was wondering who else has watched it? it’s sad watching it thinking that “biotube” is in its twilight stage. I’m curious what others opinions are of what will happen next, considering a lot of people are stuck at home maybe more people will do stop motions and stuff?
  22. I kind of missed out on Bionicle, I was a bit too young to comprehend the story and stuff. I do remember seeing the Phantoka and because I like aeroplanes I thought they were pretty neat. But what did blow my mind was when CCBS came out, I had enjoyed the first wave of hero factory and had brought one set and understood the story but to see these totally different, bigger hero’s with moving elbows and knees was amazing!
