This is what I really appreciated about him. We got a glimpse, small as it was, into just the normal life of the Bionicle realm in a new setting. Very cool. And I agree, the Destroyer model was a bit weird and seemed a little crazy for a set...but honestly I loved that. In the story, he was supposed to have gone way out of control (pun intended), and I feel like that feeling was manifested very well in the set itself, even if it meant weird gap construction and a kind of disgusting look. Flawed as it was, I felt like it fit the character very well. I may be in a small camp for that opinion but I am always a glass half full kind of guy lol

They are fairly common around the U.S. Not suuuper common since they are from way back in 2001, but not exactly rare either, somewhere in the middle haha. Having one with the original packaging is pretty rare though (in my opinion). And having a collection that large is definitely something to be proud of! Also I feel you on this. There are other things I need in my collection at the moment, but eventually these would look really nice framed next to some posters...one day haha

Okay so this thing is epic Definitely the best GSR MOC I have ever seen! So many things have been done well on this model. Overall shape & size is great, which I know is very difficult for something of this size, & digitally at that. I also appreciate the details that are true to the images we have of the GSR, such as the pistons in the torso, which are done exceptionally well. I think the subtle differences in color really help add some depth. I'm glad to hear there are many, many points of articulation. I'm curious - are these the 'snap' style articulation joints that are on Creator sets such as the dinosaur sets from back in the day? It really would be cool to see some sort of name plate. I know that would bring the piece count up though, which is a factor to consider. (also, if it was me I would add 2 vents to each side of the chest instead of one. I know that is super nit-picky but its just what I see on the GRS lol) All in all this thing is awesome. You have done a great job creating this model, & I really hope this reaches the 10k club. Oh & lastly: THIS. Even if it doesn't become an official set (which I still hope it does), if there were instructions with a parts list I would TOTALLY build this! In a heartbeat. HM

One thing I really liked (just from G2 in general I guess) was Umurak the Hunter. I felt like his design was really well done, & he made a great titan set

I've got a 2001 Matoro McDonald's happy meal box, never used. Happy to have a unique item that so many people remember as kicking off their Bionicle passion. Helryx Canister Design mini-update 4 - seeking instructions! Hey y’all! Hope everyone is having a great start to 2021! I am continuing on this Helryx canister project, & am excited to share the next couple updates. However, no Bionicle set would be complete without instructions, & this is no exception! I have what I think is a pretty good stud.io build of Helryx, with a complete parts inventory & instructions. However, I’ve seen several different stud.io files/instructions floating around for Helryx, & I want to make sure mine is as accurate as possible. If you think you have an accurate (or even close) version, please let me know or get in touch with me to compare - I’d really like to get this perfect, & I know there are people more experienced than me doing this. The Mask of Psychometry! Taking a little break from sketching posts to show off this kanohi. This is not the version of the kanohi that will come with the canister. I just needed one on hand for design work - to get a sense of shape & size as I begin to move from sketching to 3D prototyping (finally ) Obviously the quality is a bit low for now. Nonetheless, its a really cool design! Of course, all credit goes to @Mister-N for the design, & @Galva_Nize for the 3D model (TTV usernames). Some more shots & specs for those interested: This kanohi was ordered on Shapeways, as ‘Blue Processed Versatile Plastic’. (The stand is just a very simple mod from Mask Maker vs. Skull Grinder set). Helryx Canister Design Update #4! oooh yes, yet another round of canister sketches! (I promise we are nearing the end of just sketching and will soon get on to more stages of the project - you have my word) (sorry for the glaring light here ) As you can see on the updated mood board, lots of these new sketches (the 2 pages shown above) take most of their inspiration from 2008/Cordex/Karda Nui. Because of this, the sketches became more angular, which was a nice change of pace for me. I also focused on iterating the top of the canister from a different angle, which is the right side of the page. (yes, I tried a “logo” at the top…not super in love with it tbh ) As far as broad exploration goes for this canister, I’m about done. I’m going to do just one more page, to try to consolidate any ideas form 2001 and 2008 that can be merged, & also to get out any final ideas. After that, it will be basically no more new ideas for sketches, just consolidating all of the previous ideas into 3 (or so) main concepts to further evaluate. As always, please let me know your thoughts - half of these sketches wouldn’t even be here if it wasn’t for people giving me tips/ideas on different directions for this. That final exploration sketch page will be up very soon. Until then, I look forward to hearing from all of you! HM

I can almost guarantee this will happen haha. Especially since, technically, that is the official representation for each character. Moc art will be show in the instructions and possibly the back of the canister (haven't decided yet tbh)

For what its worth, I've bought a couple sets from him and everything was accounted for and packaged well (and he even threw in some trading cards for free which is nice). They were not expensive items, but are pretty old (2001-02) and came in great condition. His prototypes do look pretty legit, compared with others who have similar prototypes. Haven't (obviously) held any of his so can't say for sure, but does seem real. Just my 2 cents

So overall this idea seems pretty interesting. Sadly as of right now I would not have the time to properly dedicate to this due to other Bionicle projects, so it would be unfair of me to throw my hat in the ring. However I think the idea is worth exploring, please keep BZ Power updated on how this goes and if you ever need feedback on a smaller scale I may be able to help out
